P-02: Sure did! They were quick to take it, and quick to get it done too!
T-01: I agree. To be honest, I’m surprised it went as well as it did.
A-03: Well? Did we read the same report?
R-05: I quite agree. They ended up killing someone.
R-04: And?
F-06: Killing isn’t good.
R-04: No duh it’s not good. But it’s not like they had much of a choice, the dude jumped at him.
R-05: I thought we agreed the team would be professional.
T-01: They were professional. The contract stated to kill only in self-defense. A life or death situation was presented, and they reacted accordingly.
A-03: Where did they even get that shotgun?
P-02: I know! After I saw the report I ran a check on missing weapons from the Equestrian National Defense Force. There was one report detailing a confirmed ENDF Soldier fatality.
F-06: They killed an ENDF member? I don’t want to work with those kinds of people.
P-02: No. They didn’t do anything. The report details a struggle between one of the local gang factions and the ENDF. Two fatalities, they killed each other, but weaponry was missing from the scene.
A-03: So they stole the gun?
R-04: I would have done the same thing if I saw something like that lying around.
R-05: I'm sure you would have. Still, how did they get past the security measures on the weapon? Aren’t all ENDF equipment tuned to the owner?
P-02: Exciting isn’t it!? The one they have working on the wetware is pretty impressive.
T-01: I agree, overwriting the coding for that is an incredibly demanding task.
A-03: He’s an ex-cop right?
R-05: So the records show. An Ex-cop, an Ex-Bodyguard, An Aug-Less, and their “Leader” who we seem to have no information on.
F-06: He’s the one who killed the pony.
R-04: Give it a rest. He did what he had to.
F-06: Why is there no information on him?
P-02: Scrubbed files like the others. But we have even less information on him. His stuff went dark about 5 years ago, two weeks after his father was killed.
T-01: That’s also around the time we started to put out feelers for this kind of work.
A-03: Are you seriously suggesting us picking this group is fate?
T-01: No, of course not. I’m saying that’s how long it’s taken us to find a crew who fits our criteria.
T-01: Crew does the job requested, and adheres to all given instructions: Check
T-01: Crew does not kill senselessly, only in self-defense: Check
T-01: Crew acts in a responsible manner, avoiding attention when not under contract: Check
T-01: Crew has shown signs of element compatibility: Check
T-01: This is the only group that’s managed to do everything we need. In five years. No other group has checked more thant ONE of those boxes. And we’re not asking for much.
T-01: I’m not saying we immediately jump on this. I’m asking us to focus more resources into following them, and ensure they’re someone who we can trust.
R-04: We’ll I’m with you on that. I like them. I don’t know why we don’t just get them involved right away.
R-05: Are you even listening? That’s exactly what we’re trying to avoid. Jumping the gun. Although I doubt you even understand what that means.
R-04: You’re kind of a jerk.
R-05: I learned it from you.
R-04: Touche.
A-03: Well, I suppose you’re right. I’m alright with putting more resources into this. They do seem like the best chance we’ve got.
P-02: Me too! I’ve got time to pool most of my energy into following them if you need!
R-04: I already put in my vote, it's a yes.
R-05: It will be a yes from me as well. I’m interested to see exactly what they’re all capable of.
T-01: That's five of six. We still need one more yes.
F-06: …
F-06: Yes. But can we put special focus on the leader?

R-04: Oh, I can think of a couple!
