Sunrise passed the next night in Twilight’s castle, in a comfortable chamber. The sunrise come and he wake up, take a bath and eat the food let in his room. Then he walk outside his chamber and disappear and reappear at the limits of the Dragon Land.
“All right, Sunrise, he said to himself. You can do it...”
He enter in their territory and almost immediately get intercepted by 3 dragons: Dragon Lord Ember, Smolder and Garble.
“There you are, said Ember. Twilight prevented me of your visit and i am glad you came.”
“I know than the Dragons can be really resentful, he said. I know than you still hate me a little for what i did to you.”
“Actually, i really want to punch you right in the face” said Ember.
“Don’t hold back, then, said Sunrise to the Dragon Lord. Punch me with all you rage”
“But i won’t, she said. That would not be what Twilight expect from her friends”
“I heard from princess Twilight than you were and still be one of the most powerful ponies to have existed, said Smolder. Is that true?”
“Not one of the best, but the best!” he said.
“Wait, said Garble. You imply what when you say that you are the most powerful magician in the world?”
“That imply i can beat pretty much everyone in this world with a minimum of efforts, said Sunrise. But i didn’t came her to talk about my power.”
“Indeed, said Smolder. You are about to live a day in the land of the Dragons.”
Ember lead Sunrise to the reunion spot of the Dragon Land. Some dragons look at him with distrust while some others were greeting him with a smile.
“I see not everyone here love me, he said. I expected this and i am not surprised at all”
“Like you can see, said Ember to her subjects, we have a special guest in our kingdom. He came here to seek for your forgiveness and won’t leave until it’s done”
“That’s the Pony who is responsible for the invasion of our land a couple of weeks ago! We don’t want him here!” said a random dragon in the crowd.
“Oh, shut up, Ray!!! Said Smolder to this dragon. No one care about what you are saying!!”
“He is here to pass the whole day with us, said Ember. I count on all of you to be nice to him.”
Sunrise decide to present himself in front of the crowd, knowing he could be the target of insults or projectiles.
“My name is Sunrise Freezer, he said. I know i caused to you a lot of pain and destruction to you and your land and i am truly sorry for that. I know a lot of you still hate me for that, i can’t force you to forgive me. But that won’t stop me to pass a day with a such wonderful and powerful race, your!”
Many of the dragons applause him for the speech he delivered.
“Alright, pals, said Ember. Let’s show to him how the dragons live!”
Sunrise, for his first activity of the day, follow Ember to a lake of lava.
“One of our favorite activities is lava bathing, said Ember. I don’t recommend you to try it, you will burn to death”
“Except if i became one of you, said Sunrise. Twilight showed me a spell to turn a pony into a dragon and i have to try it.”
He cast the spell first on Smolder and then on himself. A couple of seconds later, his transformation was completed: He had white scales with blue spikes on his spine, head and tail. His wing were both white and blue and also kept his horn to be able to undo the spell later.
“How do i look?” he asked with a smile.
“You look totally badass!!!” said Smolder
“Well, i must admit you are way more cooler now.” said Garble
“Me, i find him perfect!” said Ember, charmed by his dragon form. He is so handsome!!”
Sunrise don’t wait much longer and jump into the lava pool.
“The lava temperature is just perfect, he said. What are you waiting for?”
Smolder and Garble jump in the lava, followed by Ember and two other dragons. They throw at each other lava balls for a long hour then Garble told to Sunrise he will try another of their traditions.
“Dragons love to test their strength by breaking of lifting big rocks, said Garble. More bigger is the rock you break or lift, the more respect you will get from the others. Using your magic will be considered like cheating and trust me, Dragons hate cheaters, especially if one of them is one.”
Sunrise use his earth magic to make a lot of rocks formations appear in front of him.
“I am not cheating, just helping” he said to him.
Soon after, more than 50 dragons were taking part to the competition. Ember give the start signal and everyone begin breaking of lifting rocks. Sunrise actually do it by first weakening the structure and targeting specific points, then give a final blow who pulverize the rock.
“How did you do that that fast and with such precision, asked Ember. Do you use magic?”
“No, But i will explain you later the reason” he said
Sunrise take on the biggest rock he could find and use the same method than before. He pass 15 long minutes to repetitively smash the huge rock for finally breaking it with a powerful meteor kick. The dragons applause him for a whole minute.
“This is Sunrise who won the rock smashing competition of today, said Ember. He won the honor to pass the evening in my company.”
The dragons return to do their habitual activities 10 minutes after. Then smolder invite Sunrise to write musical poems with her and her brother. Sunrise decide to give it a chance and complete his poem in less than 2 hours. He play it to those close enough to hear it and get compliments from a lot of dragons. Then the evening finally come and Sunrise follow Ember to his personal lair, who was on the top of a the lava mountain.
“This is where i live, she said to him. I know this is not as cozy than your room in Canterlot, i hope that wouldn’t bother you...”
“I slept on worst surfaces than that, to be honest, said Sunrise. But what are you doing from your evenings?”
“Well, that depend of the day, she said. I discovered a passion for the art and pass most of my free time to paint, sculpting, writing or forging. You want to try one of these hobbies?”
“Why not” said Sunrise.
They pass the whole evening together, having fun and compete with each other. Then when the night came...
“That journey was very fun, said Sunrise. You have weird hobbies than i loved. But now, i have to return to Canterlot.”
“Before you leave, she said. I have to do something.”
She gave him a necklace.
“You are now an honorary member of the Dragon clan” she said.
“Thank you for that honor, said Sunrise. I also have a present for you”
He transform a huge rock into a gigantic bloc composed of different sorts of gems who made the joy of Ember.
“Thank you again for this amazing day, To you and all your subjects.” said Sunrise
He then hug Ember, who blush a lot.
“Uh, why does everyone i met want to hug me?” she asked.
Sunrise approach his mouth close to Ember’s one, who feel suddenly weird and blush even more
“Maybe you will prefer a kiss?” said Sunrise.
“What is a kiss?” she asked, even if she have an idea of the answer
Sunrise kiss her without more hesitation. Ember is surprised by that mark of affection but let him continue.
“That was intense, she said. Are you sure you don’t want to stay with me for the night, the bed have place for 2.”
Sunrise take a few seconds to consider her offer, who the answer his yes, then she bring him in her bed and snuggle against him.
“Do you think you have what it take to keep up with me this night?” she asked
“I can keep up with any female creature” he said.
They pass half of the night to mating savagely, doing loud noise than Sunrise blockinside a magical anti-sound bubble. The next day, Sunrise wake up with Ember stuck to her chest. She wake up soon after him and kiss him one last time. Sunrise undo the spell who transformed him in a dragon.
“I suppose we both have other things to do, said Sunrise. So, have a nice day, Ember”
“Have a nice day too” she said to him.
Sunrise then fly in direction of Griffinstone at supersonic speed. When he arrive, he see two female griffins waiting at the enter.
“Welcome to our humble village, said one of the two. My name is Gabby, i am a member of the C.M.C. They told me so many good thing about you and i finally meet you.”
“I am Gilda, a friend of Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, said the other one. And because i am now trying to be nicer, i will prevent you than almost half of the griffins still hate you.”
“Is that me or the village is more damaged than habitual?” asked Sunrise.
“Griffins are not really good at construction, said Gabby. Except me and Gilda.”
“But with just two of us, repairing the village will take years” said Gilda.
“And if i told you i can rebuilt your town with all his past glory in only a few hours?” he asked
“That would be so wonderful and so kind to you, said Gabby. Everyone in our village would be so thankful if you do that”
“Enough to forgave me for good?” said Sunrise.
“More than that, said Gilda, you would be considered as an example in our community”
The two griffins take a long time to reunite every griffin in the center of their town, where Sunrise was waiting. Gallus, when he saw him, immediately say:
“What he is doing in our town? After what he make us endure, he should be banished from our kingdom”
Gabby was about to talk but Sunrise put his front right hoof on her beak.
“I know you are really mad at me, he said. What i did to you was horrible and i truly regret it. I took the risk to came in your town, knowing what your reactions would be, for the simple reason i want to make amendment for my bad actions.”
“Good luck, said Gallus. I don’t see what you could do for us who would worth our forgiveness”
“Maybe not you, Gallus, said Sunrise. But i know what i can do for you: I will rebuilt this village like it was in his past glory.”
Many griffins are surprised by these words and some of them start to have a bit of hope.
“And by rebuilding, i mean than you gave me your ideas and i’ll make them a reality” he said
“You heard him, everyone!” said Gabby.
The griffins start looking for the plan of the town and bring them to Sunrise, who do his best to memorize every single details. Sunrise use his magic on the first house who pass to badly damaged to fully renovated and proceed to continue his work. After 4 hours, Sunrise had finally finished the job and the town was so beautiful now than many griffins have tears of joy.
“I can’t believe you actually did that for us, said Gallus. I guess Yona and Smolder were right when they told me than you have a heart of gold.”
Sunrise received with pleasure the thanks of each griffin of the village, including Grampa Gruff. Then Sunrise pass the afternoon to do activities with Gallus, Gilda and Gabby. When the evening came, Sunrise decided it will be time for him to return to Canterlot.
“I really passed a good time with you 3, he said. And before i leave, you should teach to the others how to built and repair”
“This is a great idea, Sunrise! Said Gabby. I will note it on my to-do list”
“Goodbye” said Gallus.
“Yeah, Goodbye, said Gilda.
Sunrise return to the castle. The next morning, he fly in direction of the Mount Aeris. When he arrive at destination, the hippogryffs give him the cold shower, what Sunrise don’t appreciate at all. Then Silverstream see him and told them he was here to seek their forgiveness. They were reluctant at the beginning, but Sunrise’s devotion to help them finally break their shells and forgave him.
Then Sunrise decide to do the same with the seaponies, who were far more open to him than the hippogryffs. All he had to do to have their forgiveness was to make a massage to Queen Novo and pass some times with her daughter, the princess Skystar. At the end of the day, Sunrise eventually return to Canterlot for the night.
The next day, Sunrise head to the final destination of his list: The Changeling kingdom. When he arrive here, he is greet by dozens of Changelings, Thorax, Pharynx and Ocellus being in the group. Sunrise begin the day by doing art and relaxation, then train for a while with Pharynx, take the tea with Ocellus, discuss with Thorax about random subjects and finally master the Changelings capacity to Shapeshifting. He eat with them and at the end of the evening, Sunrise return for the last time to Canterlot. Then he tell to Twilight he have to come back to C.H.S now than he found his life purpose and get the forgiveness of everyone he hurt during the invasion he planned.
“I really have to return to the human world, Twilight, said Sunrise. My friends of C.H.S need me and you know it”
“Yes, i do, she said. I already prevented Sunset you will come back tomorrow”
“Oh, i was about to forget something i made for you” he said to her.
He make a big book appear in front of her. The title was «The complete Almanac of the magic»
“This book contain all the spells i created since the last millenniums, he said. Elemental magic, Dark and White magic, Time and Space/Dimensional magic, all you need to learn from me is in that book.”
Twilight jump on Sunrise and kiss him many time while thanking him for that gift.
“I am happy that gift please to you, he said, a little bit disoriented. I promise to visit you when i will have the time”
He finally disappear through a portal he opened and soon after, Twilight begin to read the book.
“With that book, i will be the best ruler this kingdom will ever have, she said. Thank you, Sunrise, I will wait for you...”
