//------------------------------// // Applejack and Lana Loud // Story: EqG Tales: Loud House Edition // by Brian Sheil //------------------------------// It was a busy day at Sweet Apple Acres as Applejack, Granny Smith, and Big Macintosh do some repairs around the place. "That was some storm we had yesterday." Granny Smith said as she fixes one of the carts. "Eeyup." BIg Mac replied. Applejack fixes the barn doors. But, she's not really into the repairs. "Probably a storm worse than when Miss Harshwhinny stopped me and my friends from going on our field trip." Granny Smith walked over to her granddaughter. "You can't let that moment rule you forever, AJ. Besides, I hired a partner to help you out." "A partner?" Applejack yelped. "Who's gonna help someone like me?" "That would be me." The voice of a little girl answered. Applejack soon saw a little girl with blond hair, wearing bib overalls and a red cap. This girl has her own tool belt with her. "Lana Loud?" Applejack realized. "What are y'all doing here?" "Here to help out." Lana answered. "I learned about that storm on my way here. Granny Smith told me about some of the damage, and asked me to help fix things." Lana took out a tissue and wiped tears from Applejack's eyes. "Besides, somebody has to perk you up." The farmer girl soon showed a little smile to the visitor. "I think you're right, Lana. From what I heard, you're somewhat of an expert on fixing things." "You got it, AJ." Lana said as she got out her hammer. "Shall we get to work?" Applejack nodded and returned to fixing the barn door. Lana held it steady for AJ to finish the job. The two girls then fixed fence posts that go around the apple orchards. "Good thing this fence area wasn't hit that hard." Lana figured. "I agree." Applejack said. "Otherwise, wild animals might barge in here, and devour our apple crops." Suddenly, they heard Granny Smith yell from the house. Applejack and Lana rushed in to see what the problem. "I was going to the bathroom," Granny Smith explained, "but the toilet was probably clogged." Applejack looked at the toilet. "Ew. That's nasty all right." She then rolled up her sleeves. "Hand me a plunger, and I'll get rid of that clog." "Hold on, AJ. I have another idea." Granny Smith suggested as she turns to Lana. "Lana, I hope you brought Big Bertha with you." Lana Loud stood up proudly. "Never leave home without her. Pardon me." As Lana leaves, Applejack got a little confused. "Big Bertha?" "Eeyup." Big Mac said as he joins the others. "Lana's motorized drain snake." Lana returns, carrying her drain snake with her. "Big Bertha coming through." After plugging the device in, Lana extends the snake, and sticks it in the toilet. She turns it on, and the motor twists the metal snake inside the toilet. After three minutes, everyone saw the water drain. Lana winds the snake up, and turns off the motor. Applejack flushes the toilet, and the water goes down normally. "Well, what do you know?" Applejack replied. "Big Bertha comes through." "What did I tell you?" Lana said as she picks up her device. "Excuse me while I go outside and wash the claw of my snake off." Outside, Lana uses the hose to wash the end of her snake clean as Applejack joins her. "I have to admit." Applejack said. "You sure were a big help fixing things around here. Including our toilet." "Thanks, Applejack." Lana replied. "But, I fixed something just as important." The farm girl raised an eyebrow. "What's that?" Lana gave her a warm smile. "I fixed what's aching you. Now, you feel much better." Applejack looked at her, and smiled. "I believe you're right." Applejack and Lana Loud gave each other a deserved high five.
