Twilight Sparkle went into Canterlot's throne room and she saw her throne, it was purple and an ornament resembling her cutie mark was at the top of it,
"Ah, okay, first day of being ruler. Spike, where is my to-do list?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Right here, Twilight." Spike replied as he unfolded the list,
"Okay, let's see, first things first is... make a public appearance at the orphanage." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Sounds good, let the foals know that you care." Spike replied,
"I agree, just wait here, Spike, I'm going to go get toys to give to those foals." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Um... Twilight, I think you can have somepony else get it for you." Spike replied,
"Oh, right, excuse me, guards." Twilight Sparkle said, two royal guards came in and bowed to her,
"No bowing, I don't want any special treatment." Twilight Sparkle said, the royal guards stood up,
"I would like for you to get toys for me so I can give them to the foals at the orphanage." Twilight Sparkle said, the royal guards saluted her and flew out. Twilight Sparkle trotted around the throne room and decorated it the way she liked, the doors opened and the royal guards came in with toys,
"Thank you all, to the orphanage now." Twilight Sparkle said, and the royal guards escorted her. Twilight Sparkle and Spike returned to the throne room and looked at the next thing to do,
"Next thing is meeting with the Canterlot elite." Spike said,
"Let's go." Twilight Sparkle said in a tired voice, and she left, she came back about four hours later,
"Phew, that was a long and boring talk, what's next?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Um... is lunchtime part of your royal duties?" Spike asked,
"Oh, no, that's my break time, run this place for me, Spike, I'm going to go visit Princess Celestia at Silver Shoals." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"But it's only been two days since she and Princess Luna retired." Spike said,
"I still have a lot of questions and advice to get from her, I promised to see her, too." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Okay, I'll go ahead and keep the place running during your break." Spike said,
"Thanks, Spike, I really owe you one, off I go now." Twilight Sparkle replied, and she left Canterlot.
Twilight Sparkle flew to Silver Shoals and saw Princess Luna playing croquet, Princess Celestia was not around,
"Excuse me, Princess Luna." Twilight Sparkle said as she flew to her,
"Ah, Twilight, it's so good to see you visit us already, but remember, just call me Luna, I'm not a princess anymore." Princess Luna said,
"Sorry, Luna, it's going to take a while for me to get used to, but I'm here to see Princess Celestia." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"My sister is staying in our room together right now, it's that room right there." Princess Luna said as she pointed at it,
"Alright, thanks, Luna." Twilight Sparkle said, and she went to the room while Princess Luna continued playing croquet. Twilight Sparkle went to the door and entered the room, she stopped in her tracks when she saw a pony with Princess Celestia, the pony had a white coat, long yellow mane and tail, and was wearing a white trench coat that went down all the way to her hoofs and white high heel shoes on each hoof. Twilight Sparkle also saw her horn even though she looked at her from the back,
"You expect me to play second fiddle to Twilight while I could've been a great ruler, I could've been your pupil." the mare said in a soft voice,
"We've been through this, Angelique, I couldn't accept you because of your background and what you are." Princess Celestia replied,
"Well, that's their problem, the ponies at my home admire me for who and what I am." Angelique said,
"I understand that you have prior experience with ruling a city, and you know what friendship is, but Equestria would've been in a panic if I made you a princess." Princess Celestia replied,
"What about my brother, could you have made him ruler?" Angelique asked,
"No, of course not, a male alicorn would cause a panic throughout Equestria." Princess Celestia replied,
"I still don't understand why you chose Twilight Sparkle as your successor, she'd rather be stuck in her books than make friends." Angelique said,
"Because Twilight had a lot of potential in magic, and by sending her to Ponyville, she learned about friendship, I had strong faith that she would make a worthy successor, and I was right." Princess Celestia replied,
"It took her a long time, though, I already had learned about friendship and helped those who have come to my kingdom." Angelique said,
"Yes, I know, Angelique, and I appreciate what you do, but as I said, your origins and what you are would have caused a mass hysteria throughout Equestria if I made you the ruler." Princess Celestia replied,
"I can hide what I am pretty well." Angelique said,
"Your cover will be blown if the ponies saw your right eye." Princess Celestia replied,
"I can hide that easily." Angelique said,
"I know, but your cover will still be blown if somepony saw it, that is all I have to say, Angelique, you should head on home now." Princess Celestia replied, and Angelique turned around, Twilight Sparkle saw Angelique had bright blue eyes and yellow eye shadow on, she looked and saw Angelique's right eye looked perfectly normal, and her mane and tail styles looked just like the styles of Rainbow Dash's mane and tail, Twilight Sparkle also saw that Angelique's trench coat had yellow buttons on it, and it was buttoned closed and held even more closed by a white belt with a yellow buckle tied around her waist, Angelique looked at Twilight Sparkle briefly before she left. Twilight Sparkle walked to Princess Celestia while she cleaned the room,
"Twilight, you're visiting me already, it's wonderful to see you here." Princess Celestia said,
"Who was that, Princess Celestia?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Angelique, when I was looking for a new pupil after Sunset Shimmer left me, she was one of the candidates, but after looking into her background, I had to turn her down." Princess Celestia replied,
"What's wrong with her?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"She's... not normal, Twilight." Princess Celestia replied,
"Really? She looked normal to me." Twilight Sparkle said,
"That's because she's hiding her features, Twilight, you'd see what I mean if you saw her without her coat." Princess Celestia replied,
"Why didn't you have me and her compete with one another?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Again, I couldn't accept her because of what she is, and there's also the time when I was looking for a pupil the first time, Sunset Shimmer had rivalries with the other ponies, she had a bad rivalry with one pony in particular." Princess Celestia replied,
"You never mentioned that, Princess Celestia." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Wait, I didn't?" Princess Celestia asked, Twilight Sparkle shook her head,
"Anyway, Angelique is not normal among our kind, she's a one of a kind creature in our world, but if she does come after you, Twilight, come see me, and I'll have a talk with her." Princess Celestia said,
"Okay, thanks, Princess Celestia, I'll be going back to my royal duties now." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Alright, Twilight, and remember, Luna and I are here if you need any advice, good luck now." Princess Celestia said, and Twilight Sparkle went back to Canterlot.
Twilight Sparkle went back to Canterlot and did her royal duties,
"Phew, that's everything, Princess Celestia wasn't joking when she said her work is exhausting." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Yeah, you look frazzled." Spike replied as he checked off the last thing on the list,
"*yawn* Okay, Spike, first thing tomorrow, we need to hire someone to run Equestria in our place, I have some investigating to do." Twilight Sparkle said,
"On what?" Spike asked,
"When I visited Princess Celestia, she was meeting with this pony named Angelique, she talked about how she could've been a good ruler, but Princess Celestia rejected her as a pupil because of her origins, I'm going to need to do some research on her." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"What's so mysterious about that?" Spike asked,
"Princess Celestia also said she's a one of a kind creature, and her right eye is unnatural looking, but it looked perfectly normal to me, she also wore a trench coat that covers everything except her head and hoofs, Princess Celestia said I can see some of her abnormalities under it." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Oh, that is strange." Spike said,
"See, there you go, I'm going to look for her tomorrow, but before that, we need to find somepony to run the place first, okay?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Okay." Spike replied,
"Well, let's sleep, goodnight, Spike." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Goodnight." Spike replied, and the two slept.
The next morning came and Twilight Sparkle and Spike were addressing their subjects,
"I am sorry to say this to you, but an event has occurred and I am forced to take leave for now, so I will be appointing somepony to rule in my place until I return." Twilight Sparkle said, the ponies in the throne room murmured,
"Fancy Pants, would you run Equestria in my place for the time being?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Of course, your majesty, I am ready." Fancy Pants replied,
"Thank you, Spike has a list of things to do." Twilight Sparkle said,
"I am ready, your majesty." Fancy Pants replied,
"Okay, I'll be going now." Twilight Sparkle said, and she left the throne room.
Twilight Sparkle got a list of names of everypony in Equestria and looked for Angelique's file, she found it quickly since the names were in alphabetical order, she looked up Angelique's background and saw who she was,
"What the?" Twilight Sparkle said, she saw Angelique was twenty five years old, her pony type was listed as unicorn, her family relatives are deceased, her only living relative is her twin brother, her magic is much more powerful than the average pony, she excelled in solar magic, holy magic, and healing magic, she was from a city called Elysium, where she was the ruler, and her education level was unknown,
"Holy magic? What's holy magic?" Twilight Sparkle asked herself, she looked at the map and saw Elysium was not on the map,
"What? A place not on the map? A place not on the map?! How did they miss something like that?!" Twilight Sparkle asked as she tried to calm herself from losing control, she sighed and decided to go see Princess Celestia again, she sighed again and put the map in her saddlebag and flew to Silver Shoals.
Princess Celestia was playing croquet and she squealed when she won, she and the other ponies took a break when she saw Twilight Sparkle flying to her,
"Here again already, Twilight, keep in mind you can't visit me every day." Princess Celestia said,
"Actually, I'm here with a question for the map, where is Elysium?" Twilight Sparkle asked as she showed her the map,
"Oh, you're here to update our map, that's fine, Elysium is located around here." Princess Celestia said as she pointed to near the top of the map, Twilight Sparkle saw Elysium was located to the north of the Crystal Empire just south of the mountains,
"What's Elysium like?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"It is a city where everything is white, all of the citizens have white coats, only the knights there wear outfits, also white, and if you see Angelique, remember to pay your respects to her, as she is Elysium's ruler, she lives in a tower in the center of the city." Princess Celestia replied,
"This place sounds like a utopia." Twilight Sparkle said,
"It kind of is, Elysium is very orderly, and everypony wears pure white there." Princess Celestia replied,
"I'll make sure to bring some bits when I travel there." Twilight Sparkle said,
"They use gold as currency, Twilight, not bits." Princess Celestia replied,
"Still, I've never seen Elysium before." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Of course you haven't, it's hidden by magic, you need to cast a spell to enter it." Princess Celestia replied,
"Well, that's all I wanted to hear, thank you, Princess Celestia." Twilight Sparkle said,
"You're welcome, Twilight, the spell you need to cast to enter Elysium is in my spell book in the restricted area of the library, I'm sure you'll find it." Princess Celestia replied, and Twilight Sparkle flew away while Princess Celestia watched her with a smile on her face.
Twilight Sparkle went into the restricted area of the Canterlot library and looked through Princess Celestia's books, she found the spell book and opened it, she saw each spell's name and a description of what each spell does,
"Let's see here, here it is." Twilight Sparkle said as she found the spell, she saw it was an advanced spell, she memorized it and flew outside, she stopped when she saw eagles, doves, swans, and white butterflies flying around something moving on the ground, Twilight Sparkle looked and tried to see what they were flying around, they moved away briefly and she saw Angelique walking away, she stopped in a flower garden and the birds and butterflies flew away, Angelique held her horn up high and it glowed completely yellow, her body turned into yellow lightning and went into the sky while the sound of thunder accompanied her. Twilight Sparkle's jaw dropped at what she saw, she remained in the air and looked on, she came back to her senses and shook her head, she flew down to see what Angelique was doing and saw more flowers than before, along with food for the birds,
"Huh, I guess she was feeding the animals, well, to Elysium." Twilight Sparkle said, and she flew north.
Twilight Sparkle flew to the north of the Crystal Empire and she cast the spell to enter Elysium, she saw it appear and stopped to look at it, Elysium was arranged into a perfect circle with a tall tower in the center of the city, everything was pure white, there were eagles, doves, and white butterflies flying around the city, she also saw lions, dogs, and sheep roaming the streets, dolphins, goldfish, and swans in the waters and pools, and everypony in Elysium had white coats, no cutie marks, and their manes, tails, and eyes' were all either blue or yellow. Twilight Sparkle walked around while in awe at the place, she snapped back to reality when she heard foals laughing, she saw three of them running around and playing tag, she walked around slowly to look around Elysium, she saw tall white statues of bipedal creatures that had big feathered wings on their backs, she looked around more and saw the architecture of Elysium somewhat resembled Cloudsdale's architecture, she looked and saw adult ponies getting on with their days, some were doing laundry, some were cooking, some were making weapons and armor, unicorns were casting magic, Pegasi were flying, earth ponies were growing crops, the ponies picked them and put them in white marble buckets. Twilight Sparkle walked around and she felt paws on her hind left leg, she looked and saw a dog on her, she turned to face it and saw three more dogs, they all sat and panted with their tongues out,
"Aw, you four are so cute, come here, you." Twilight Sparkle said as she leaned down and petted the dogs,
"There you dogs are, come on now, breakfast's ready." a mare said as she walked to them and the dogs ran home,
"Sorry about that, princess, those dogs like to run outside a lot." the mare said,
"It's okay, they were quite friendly." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"What are you doing here in Elysium?" the mare asked,
"I'm here to see Angelique." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"She's in that tower in the center of the city, she's at the top." the mare said,
"I know, but thanks, I'll be going now." Twilight Sparkle replied, and the two went their separate ways. Twilight Sparkle walked around and saw the knights, she stopped when she saw their armors, they were covered from head to hoof in pure white outfits, but their helmets were shaped like animal heads, the helmets the unicorns wore were shaped like horse heads, the Pegasi wore helmets shaped like eagle heads, and the earth ponies wore helmets shaped like lion heads, each helmet was highly detailed and resembled the animal's head almost accurately, they also wielded spears that had brown handles and yellow blades with electricity emitting from them. The knights sparred with their spears while Twilight Sparkle walked by them, she kept walking and saw the ponies doing various activities, she also saw several schools for teaching foals,
"Wow, quite an interesting place." Twilight Sparkle said, she kept walking and saw several foals casting magic, she saw everypony who had blue manes and tails had yellow magic auras while those with yellow manes and tails had blue magic auras, she walked past them and stopped when she saw Angelique with a family,
"There, your daughter will be bedridden for about two days, but she should be cured by then." Angelique said,
"Thank you so much, Angelique, your knowledge in healing and medicine is exemplary." the stallion said,
"You're welcome, go along now, I have a guest." Angelique replied, and the family left. Angelique walked over to Twilight Sparkle,
"What brings you here to Elysium, Princess Twilight?" Angelique asked,
"I was hoping to learn about you." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Why?" Angelique asked,
"Because I was there when you talked to Princess Celestia." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Oh, right, you were, what is it you want to know?" Angelique asked,
"What was that about you could have been a pupil to Princess Celestia?" Twilight Sparkle asked, Angelique sighed,
"When Princess Celestia was looking for a new pupil after Sunset Shimmer left, I applied, she came here to see me and my magic abilities, she was impressed, but after discovering my origins, she had to turn me down, it still upsets me, because not only did I have natural magic talent, and understood friendship, but I have ruled this kingdom ever since I was a filly, so I have experience in running a kingdom, too, and now I'm forced to take care of ponies from in the shadows while you're admired as a hero for stopping threats that I could've stopped, myself." Angelique replied,
"Where were you when Equestria was threatened?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Healing those who were injured." Angelique replied,
"You didn't fight back?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Trust me, my magic is very powerful, I could've obliterated most of the threats in one blast, but if I did that, Equestria would see that I'm not a regular pony and it would've freaked them out." Angelique replied,
"Yeah, I read that in your file." Twilight Sparkle said,
"How did you learn the spell to enter Elysium anyway?" Angelique asked,
"Princess Celestia told me about a spell book in Canterlot's library and I found it." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Oh, I see." Angelique said,
"If you want, I can have one of my friends come here to act as a friendship ambassador." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Princess Celestia is Equestria's ambassador for my city." Angelique replied,
"Wait, really?" Twilight Sparkle asked, Angelique nodded,
"Was me contending to be Princess Celestia's pupil all you wanted to know about me?" Angelique asked,
"No, I want to know what you are as well." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"What did my records list me as?" Angelique asked,
"A unicorn." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Well, I guess that's half right, I am half unicorn." Angelique said,
"What's your other half?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"I'll leave that to your imagination." Angelique replied,
"Come on, Angelique, tell me, it can't be that bad." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Twilight, I have patients to attend to." Angelique replied, Twilight Sparkle looked around and saw several ponies behind her who looked sickly or injured,
"I'll treat them and come back to you, just wait a little." Angelique said, and she walked to them. Twilight Sparkle waited for Angelique to finish while she cast magic to heal the sick and injured, she finished after about fifteen minutes and walked back to Twilight Sparkle,
"Sorry about that, as I was saying, I'd rather not share what I really am." Angelique said,
"Why?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Trust me, the truth will shock you." Angelique replied, and she walked away.
Twilight Sparkle followed her while Angelique walked,
"You won't learn anything if you follow me, Twilight." Angelique said as she continued walking, she watched Angelique walk away, deer went to her and she petted each one, she walked out of Twilight Sparkle's sight afterwards. Twilight Sparkle decided to focus on Angelique later and flew up to look at Elysium,
"Why is everypony white here?" Twilight Sparkle asked as she looked at the citizens, she looked for a library and saw one to the north, she flew there and landed,
"Excuse me." Twilight Sparkle said, a male Pegasus and a female earth pony looked at her,
"Do you all have any historical documents?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Yes, they're in the second row to your left when you enter." the mare replied,
"Okay, thank you." Twilight Sparkle said, and she entered the library.
Twilight Sparkle entered the library and stopped and took in the view, it was all white, and the bookshelves were carved and stuck to the floor, she also saw a statue of Angelique in the center of the library with a flag over her head, the flag's left side was yellow, its right side was blue, the center of it was white, and in the very center of the flag was a gold empty circle. Twilight Sparkle looked back at the statue of Angelique and saw it was made with her still wearing her trench coat, Twilight Sparkle leaned her head down and glared a little,
"Seriously?" Twilight Sparkle asked, but she went to go look up Elysium's history. Twilight Sparkle went to the section with historical documents and looked up Elysium's history,
"Elysium and its identical city, Hades, were founded by a tribe of unicorns that broke away from Princess Platinum and went their separate paths, Pegasi and earth ponies who did not like the rules of their tribes were also welcome, one unicorn family were researchers and travelers who studied other creatures, they discovered two bipedal creatures who were at war with one another in a land far to the north of modern day Yakyakistan, the couple studied the creatures and saw they had physical abilities better than that of an earth pony and their own magic that ponies have never seen, the couple shared their research with others and the ponies became interested. The unicorn couple did genetic experiments with their children in an attempt to change a pony's evolution, none of the experiments were successful until Angelique and her brother were born, and Angelique became appointed the ruler of Elysium at the age of four while her brother was appointed the ruler of Hades, the two were taught by their family on their experiments and continue to this day to do them to hasten pony evolution into even more powerful creatures." Twilight Sparkle read,
"Evolve into even more powerful creatures?" Twilight Sparkle asked, she continued reading through the book,
"Ever since Angelique has become Elysium's goddess, she has kept peaceful relations with Equestria, and its ruler, Princess Celestia, has been paying us annual visits to discuss peace negotiations and do trade, it is unknown if they will continue now that Princess Celestia has retired." Twilight Sparkle read, she skipped through the pages and looked at the words briefly, she did not find what she was looking for, so she put the book back on the shelf. Twilight Sparkle looked through the other historical documents and took out a book she thought would have the information she was looking for, she opened it and looked at the book's contents,
"Here it is." Twilight Sparkle said as she found the page on what she was looking for and went to it,
"Ever since Angelique and her brother were born, they were surrounded by animals, Angelique was surrounded by deer, lions, dogs, sheep, eagles, doves, swans, dolphin, goldfish, ladybugs, and butterflies, while her brother was surrounded by goats, wolves, cats, snakes, pigs, flies, spiders, cockroaches, ravens, crows, and sharks, those animals have been attracted to the two for some reason ever since they were babies, the reason why still remains unknown." Twilight Sparkle read,
"Attracted to them for an unknown reason? I'll have to get Fluttershy to ask the animals later." Twilight Sparkle said, and she put the book back on the shelf. Twilight Sparkle looked at the time on the wall and saw it was 12:00p.m.,
"Oh, no, the sun!" Twilight Sparkle said, and she ran outside.
Twilight Sparkle headed outside and got ready to move the sun with her magic, but the sun moved on its own,
"Oh, Spike must be using that sun and moon amulet." Twilight Sparkle said, she looked and saw all of the ponies and animals looking at the tower in the center, Angelique stood on top while the ponies and animals bowed to her,
"What's going on?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Don't you know, Princess Twilight? We pay our respects to Goddess Angelique at twelve in the afternoon every day." a filly to her right replied,
"How long does it last?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"A minute." the filly replied, Twilight Sparkle looked around and saw everypony and animals bowing to her, she decided to bow to her as well. The minute passed and Angelique lifted her front right leg up and everypony and animal in Elysium stopped bowing to her while Angelique walked back into her tower,
"Can we visit her?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Of course, Goddess Angelique's home is always open." the filly replied,
"Okay, thank you, I'm going to go pay her a visit." Twilight Sparkle said, and she flew to the tower. Twilight Sparkle arrived at the tower and landed, she walked forward while knights blocked her path with their spears,
"State your business." a male knight with a lion shaped helmet said,
"I just want to talk to Angelique." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"About what?" a male knight with an eagle shaped helmet asked,
"I just want to ask her about her origins." Twilight Sparkle replied, the knights moved their spears out of the way,
"You may enter, but remember, we will throw you out of the city if Goddess Angelique calls for us." the knight with the lion shaped helmet said,
"What? I'm the ruler of Equestria." Twilight Sparkle said,
"You may be a princess, but here, your title means nothing." the knight with the eagle shaped helmet replied, Twilight Sparkle walked forward and entered the tower.
Twilight Sparkle walked into the tower and saw a spiral staircase of white stairs in front of herself, she looked and saw statues of the bipedal winged creatures to the sides with double-edged broadswords held in their hands and the tip of the blades on the floor, Twilight Sparkle walked up the stairs and looked around, she saw statues side-by-side everywhere on the spiral staircase, she walked up and all of the white began to strain her eyes,
"Okay, this is getting boring." Twilight Sparkle said, and she flew up the stairs and made it to the top. Twilight Sparkle opened the white double doors and saw Angelique in front of her and sitting in a throne, it was pure white with a tip at the top of the throne, there were seven flags around it, one above it, and three to the sides, Twilight Sparkle saw the flags to the sides were the flags of the pony tribes, there was two of each flag, and the flag above the throne was Elysium's flag,
"What are you doing here, Twilight?" Angelique asked,
"I still would like to get to know about you." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"As in?" Angelique asked,
"I would like to know about your parents." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"My parents and every member of my family before me and my brother were travelers and genetic engineers, they traveled out of Equestria and wrote down records of the creatures they encountered." Angelique said,
"Wait, that's it?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Pretty much." Angelique replied,
"Well, I also would like to know why everything in this country is white." Twilight Sparkle said,
"I didn't choose that, Elysium was always white, even before I was born." Angelique replied,
"Why is everypony here white?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"That's... mainly because of me, I made them that way." Angelique replied,
"What about their manes, tails, eyes, and magic auras being yellow or blue?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"That's random, I don't decide that." Angelique replied,
"Why don't they have any cutie marks?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"That's from me, too, I don't like the thoughts of one pony's life being decided by this special talent, so I removed them completely so they can do what they like without the cutie mark deciding what they'll be doing for their entire lives." Angelique replied,
"You can't do that, Angelique! Ponies will have no guide on what to do with their lives without their cutie marks." Twilight Sparkle said,
"You sure? My people seem to be doing just fine." Angelique replied,
"Have they ever been out of Elysium?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Yes, all of them have." Angelique replied,
"But still, you shouldn't do that!" Twilight Sparkle said, Angelique stood up and got off her throne, she walked forward and Twilight Sparkle looked through the slit that appeared at the bottom of Angelique's coat as she walked, she looked into it and saw a white outfit that went all the way down to her hind hoofs, she noticed Angelique was wearing a dress under her coat, she walked past Twilight Sparkle and stopped,
"Come with me, Twilight, I got something to show you." Angelique said, and the two walked together.
Twilight Sparkle arrived outside and Angelique pointed at her citizens, she saw the ponies were all trying various activities and did the ones they liked the most,
"See, Twilight, without cutie marks, ponies can do what they like, and if they're no good, they will be provided training." Angelique said,
"But what if they never get good?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"They can still do what they like even if they're bad at it." Angelique replied,
"What about you? Do you have a cutie mark?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Yeah, I still have mine." Angelique replied,
"Why didn't you get rid of it?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Because the method I used to get rid of them requires the pony to be a baby." Angelique replied,
"What?!" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"It's true, she took away our cutie marks when we were still babies." an earth pony stallion replied,
"Yes, they disappeared when she made us a part of her." a Pegasus mare said,
"A part of her?!" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"That's right, Twilight, from a certain point of view, I am everypony's mother in this kingdom." Angelique replied,
"What are you doing when you're out of this kingdom?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"I'm usually tending to the sick and wounded, I'm a traveling doctor in Equestria." Angelique replied,
"What were you doing in Canterlot's garden earlier today?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Healing the plants that were withering away." Angelique replied,
"Why?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Every life is precious." Angelique replied,
"Goddess Angelique teaches us all about how important every life is at a young age, she wants us to save as many lives as possible as well." a unicorn stallion said,
"See, there you go, my subjects try to help as many people and living organisms as they can when they travel out of Elysium." Angelique said,
"Wait, how do Pegasi and earth ponies enter here when you need to cast a spell to find this place?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"They can see the place and just enter normally, this city is invisible to foreigners." Angelique replied,
"I would still like this place on the map, it's driving me crazy that it's not." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Even if you do, this place still cannot be seen by foreigners, and the spell required to enter here was a spell only Princess Celestia knew." Angelique replied,
"Not even Princess Luna knows the spell?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Nope." Angelique replied,
"What about Discord?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Probably, he hasn't visited us yet, but his chaos magic has affected us several times, so he's probably aware this place exists." Angelique replied,
"You still shouldn't hide this place." Twilight Sparkle said,
"It was my family that cast the spell to hide Elysium from the world, not me." Angelique replied,
"Why do you continue to hide it for?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Because I'm busy trying to have ponies evolve into stronger beings, I need my work to be secret from the world." Angelique replied,
"You shouldn't hide it." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Princess Celestia knows about what I'm doing, and she's fine with it." Angelique replied,
"Really?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Yes, if you don't believe me, go ask her." Angelique replied, Twilight Sparkle thought for a second and she flew out of Elysium.
Twilight Sparkle arrived at Silver Shoals and looked for Princess Celestia, she found her playing Bingo with elders, one pony won and she clapped with the others,
"Excuse me, Princess Celestia." Twilight Sparkle said as she walked to her, Princess Celestia looked at her with a warm smile on her face,
"I have something I want to ask about Angelique." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Come with me, Twilight." Princess Celestia said, and they went to her room,
"Is it true that Angelique is trying to make ponies evolve?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Yes, Angelique has been mixing her genes with the ponies that are born or brought into Elysium, that is why they're white, yellow, and blue." Princess Celestia replied,
"She said you allowed it." Twilight Sparkle said,
"I did." Princess Celestia replied,
"Why?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Because Angelique isn't doing anything harmful, she teaches them to be kind and caring as well." Princess Celestia replied,
"Okay, she also said something about you being an ambassador there." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Yes, when I was still a princess, I handled the relations of Elysium and Equestria, and Luna was the Equestrian ambassador for Hades." Princess Celestia replied,
"Who handles it now?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"I still plan to visit Elysium once a year." Princess Celestia replied,
"Can I do it?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"You may." Princess Celestia replied,
"Okay, I also wanted to know about Angelique's family." Twilight Sparkle said,
"You'll have to go through Elysium's history for that, I can only provide the basic information." Princess Celestia replied,
"I already did, they're from a unicorn group that broke away from Princess Platinum, and they were travelers and researchers, I also read they were genetic engineers." Twilight Sparkle said,
"That's pretty much the bulk of her family." Princess Celestia replied,
"Really? I thought there would be more." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Afraid not, when Angelique and her brother were born, the family achieved a centuries year old dream, and I can see that Angelique is now trying to pass her genes onto the other ponies to make them evolve." Princess Celestia replied,
"What is Angelique?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Well, I'm sure you already know she's half pony." Princess Celestia replied,
"Yes, I know that, what's her other half?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Well, I know what the creature looks like, but I don't know what its proper name is." Princess Celestia replied,
"Oh, it's okay, Princess Celestia, I'm sure I can find it." Twilight Sparkle said,
"I wish you good luck, Twilight." Princess Celestia replied, and Twilight Sparkle walked away from Silver Shoals,
"Ugh!" Twilight Sparkle said, she then flew back to Canterlot.
Fancy Pants and Spike worked to run Equestria and Twilight Sparkle returned,
"Welcome back, your majesty." Fancy Pants said, Twilight Sparkle looked and saw Canterlot was at peace,
"Wow, you did a good job, thank you very much, Fancy Pants." Twilight Sparkle said,
"You are most welcome." Fancy Pants replied,
"I'll take it from here, you go on and get on with your day." Twilight Sparkle said, and Fancy Pants left,
"How have things been, Spike?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Fine, Fancy Pants taught me a few tricks on planning and time managing." Spike replied,
"Come on, Spike, let's finish the rest of our duties." Twilight Sparkle said, and she did the remaining things on the list.
Night time came and Twilight Sparkle raised the moon,
"Huh?" Twilight Sparkle said as she saw yellow light in the sky, thunder crackling was heard and lightning shot down to the ground while the sound of thunder accompanied it, the lightning took the shape of a pony and changed to Angelique, she walked forward and Twilight Sparkle saw her heading to an orphanage, she flew and watched her, she knocked on the door and a mare opened it,
"Can I help you?" the mare asked,
"I'm here to treat the sickly." Angelique replied,
"Oh, thank you very much, please, this way." the mare said, and she let Angelique in. Twilight Sparkle flew to the orphanage and watched Angelique through a window, the mare directed her to the sick ponies and Angelique used her magic to heal them, she also healed them by touching them, the sick foals got up and began running around the orphanage and played tag, Twilight Sparkle could not help but smile at seeing what Angelique was doing, the mare and foals thanked her and Angelique left the orphanage. Angelique walked away and was heading into the woods, some of the animals went to her and she petted them, Twilight Sparkle flew to her and Angelique stopped walking,
"Come on out, Twilight." Angelique said, and Twilight Sparkle landed while Angelique turned around,
"How did you know it was me?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"I can sense it." Angelique replied,
"What?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Anyway, what are you doing following me?" Angelique asked,
"I was curious on why you're not asleep." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"I don't need sleep." Angelique said,
"What?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Is that why you're following me?" Angelique asked,
"No, I still want to know what you are." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Why don't you fight me and find out?" Angelique asked,
"What? No, the Princess of Friendship can't start fights." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Really? That's too bad, because I was hoping to test you." Angelique said,
"I'm not starting a fight." Twilight Sparkle replied, Angelique shot a zap at her and Twilight Sparkle yelped when it hit her,
"Well, too bad, I need to make sure my own skills stay honed as well." Angelique said, and she ran to her. Twilight Sparkle regained her focus and saw Angelique running to her, she jumped and Angelique floated forward while aiming her hind hoofs at her,
"What the?" Twilight Sparkle asked, she strafed to her left and Angelique missed her, but she aimed her hoofs at the ground and landed immediately, she turned around and her eyes glowed yellow, yellow electricity appeared on her horn and in her eyes, white beams manifested around her and homed on Twilight Sparkle, she shot them with zaps from her horn and they disappeared. Angelique shot a white blast from her horn and Twilight Sparkle teleported away, the blast stopped and there were white crystals emerging from the ground. Twilight Sparkle looked on with shock at what she saw, Angelique sensed where Twilight Sparkle was at and shot a big yellow beam of electricity at her, she flew away and Angelique hit a tree, it got covered in white crystals, she shot another beam at Twilight Sparkle and she blocked it with a magic shield and then tried to restrain Angelique with her telekinesis, she jumped back but Twilight Sparkle managed to get the belt around Angelique's waist and untied it. Angelique's coat opened and Twilight Sparkle saw Angelique's white dress, she also had something white around her neck, Angelique used her telekinesis to remove her coat, she had a yellow magic aura, she threw her coat away and she was wearing white long-sleeve dress that went down to her hoofs, and a white cape that was just as long,
"What the?!" Twilight Sparkle said as she looked at her and saw white feathered wings on her sides,
"You're an alicorn?!" Twilight Sparkle asked with shock,
"Technically, yes, the horn is from my pony half, the wings are from my other half." Angelique replied, and she unfolded her wings and flew. Angelique flew and shot yellow lightning from her horn, Twilight Sparkle tried to shoot her down but Angelique flew around her beams and threw her cape over Twilight Sparkle's head, she shrieked while Angelique shot her away with her magic, she yelped when she got hit and electrocuted, she fell to the ground and white crystals appeared around her. Angelique flew down to her and Twilight Sparkle shot a big blast at Angelique on impulse and she stopped when she realized what she was doing, she saw Angelique fly forward with smoke on her body and her outfit burned away, she looked like a normal pony. Angelique flew to her and was ready to ram her horn into Twilight Sparkle, she teleported away and saw Angelique from the side, her cutie mark was an orange sun with two white feathered wings coming out of it, Angelique flew up and faced her, she spread her wings out and shot the feathers at her. Twilight Sparkle shrieked as she made a shield appear around herself,
"What is this?!" Twilight Sparkle said as the feathers stabbed into whatever they hit,
"You can't play defensive forever, Twilight." Angelique said, and birds were heard in the sky, Twilight Sparkle saw eagles, doves, and swans flying down to her. Twilight Sparkle screamed when the birds went behind her and began pecking and kicking her, her shield went down while she got distracted, Angelique cast a spell and a yellow circle appeared above her head and shot yellow beams out everywhere, Twilight Sparkle flew away while the birds chased her, she turned around and shot a zap at Angelique, she got hit in her face and the force made her turn her head to the right. Twilight Sparkle saw something fly out of Angelique's face, she looked and saw it was a contact lens, it was colored as well, she looked and Angelique looked at her while covering her own right eye with her front right hoof, Twilight Sparkle used her telekinesis to move her hoof and gasped at seeing Angelique's right eye, it was orange and her iris was shaped like the sun, the pupil was in the center of the sun,
"Your eye." Twilight Sparkle said, Angelique flung Twilight Sparkle to get her to stop holding onto her hoof with her telekinesis, her horn had yellow lightning around it and her body turned to lightning, thunder was heard and Angelique went into the sky and disappeared. Twilight Sparkle looked on with disbelief and soon flew back to Canterlot and slept.
Twilight Sparkle was in Canterlot's throne room the next morning and was seeing Fancy Pants,
"I'm sorry, Fancy Pants, but can you handle things again today?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Of course, I saw you outside last night, so I can tell you're busy, I think you're going to make a fine ruler, Princess Twilight." Fancy Pants replied,
"Thank you, Fancy Pants, I'll try to finish my errand outside Canterlot today." Twilight Sparkle said,
"I wish you the best of luck, Princess Twilight." Fancy Pants replied, and she flew out.
Twilight Sparkle went back to Elysium and entered the kingdom, she saw the ponies getting on with their days, she saw Angelique walking around and watching her subjects, Twilight Sparkle saw Angelique did not put on another outfit and left her wings and right eye exposed, she flew down to her,
"Excuse me, Angelique." Twilight Sparkle said, she faced her,
"You're not mad about last night, are you?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"No, not at all, I just can't expose my wings and eye to Equestria." Angelique replied,
"I now see what Princess Celestia said that you being the ruler would've caused a panic." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Yeah, really a shame, if I became Equestria's new ruler, I was going to improve Equestria's and Elysium's relationships, and my subjects could've traveled with no ponies having to fear them." Angelique replied,
"Well, I'm ready to know what you are." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Go in to my throne room and turn left, my family's documents are in there." Angelique replied, Twilight Sparkle went there and two earth pony knights blocked the entrance with their spears,
"Halt, you have to pay to enter here." the knight to the left said with a male voice,
"Um..." Twilight Sparkle said as she made bits appear with her magic,
"We don't use that currency here." the knight to the right said with a female voice,
"Shiro, Lumen, it's alright." Angelique said,
"What? But goddess..." the female knight said,
"Let her through, she has my permission." Angelique said, and they moved their spears out of the way,
"Thank you." Twilight Sparkle said, and she entered the area.
Twilight Sparkle entered the area and saw it was a room with a desk and papers on it,
"What is this?" Twilight Sparkle asked, she saw written documents and pictures on the desk to her left, she walked to it and began reading them,
"February 12, 1994,
The experiment was a success, my family and I have created hybrid ponies, twins to be exact, a boy and a girl, A.P. and D.P. will be trained and taught at a young age, A.P. will rule Elysium while D.P. will rule Hades, but we will make sure to have the two spend time together and provide them with love and kindness and have them grow up happy, if only my and my wife's ancestors were here to see this now." Twilight Sparkle read,
"A.P. and D.P.?" Twilight Sparkle asked, she looked and saw a picture of two baby ponies, the one on the left had a white coat, a horn, feathered wings, yellow mane and tail, its cutie mark was an orange sun with white feathered wings to its sides, and the baby had a blue left eye and an orange right eye shaped like the sun, and the one on the right had a black coat, a horn, wings like those of a bat, purple mane and tail, its cutie mark was a dark yellow full moon with black bat-like wings to its sides, the baby had a red right eye, and a dark yellow left eye shaped like a full moon. Twilight Sparkle stopped examining the picture and read the next document,
"May 15, 1994,
A.P.'s and D.P.'s powers have manifested, A.P. has solar magic while D.P. has lunar magic, A.P. can create fire from the sun while D.P. makes fire come out of the ground, and A.P. can use her magic to heal other creatures while D.P. can use his magic to destroy them, despite the differences, A.P. and D.P. are actually getting along quite well, I hope this development continues." Twilight Sparkle read, she moved to the next document,
"November 21, 1994,
The creatures from that land that A.P. and D.P. have in their genes visited us today to bring us gifts, they also wanted us to change their names, since they said they can't just call them Angel Pony and Demon Pony forever, my wife and I will need time to think about this." Twilight Sparkle read,
"What? Angel Pony?!" Twilight Sparkle asked, she looked at the next sheet of paper and saw it was Angelique's family tree, she saw her father's name was Fudo, and her mother's name was Asuka, she looked at the next document,
"December 3, 1994,
My wife and I have decided on their names, A.P. will be Angelique, and D.P. will be Darius, they were tough choices, my wife and I couldn't decide between Angelique and Angelica for A.P. and Diablo and Darius for D.P., but we decided that we like Angelique and Darius the best, we'll give them their gifts when they get older, Demonbane for Angelique and Angelbane for Darius." Twilight Sparkle read, she looked at the next document,
"July 8, 2000,
Angelique and Darius have been developing well, the two get along great, and they love having me and Asuka around, we will let them know about their births and the family goal later, I hope they take it well." Twilight Sparkle read, she read the next document,
"October 13, 2002,
Angelique and Darius took the truth of their births quite well, and the family's goal to make ponies evolve into more powerful beings, but now that we have succeeded in creating a hybrid with a pony and another creature, it is now their duty to pass the angel and demon genes to the other ponies so they can evolve into stronger beings, my wife already passed, and I feel my time is coming, too, so I have to teach them quickly on how the experiments work so they can continue our work." Twilight Sparkle read, she looked at the last paper, it was a picture of a pony on the right, and on the left was a bipedal creature with feminine facial features, long yellow hair, and white feathered wings, it was wearing a white long-sleeve robe and had an empty yellow circle floating above its head, Twilight Sparkle saw the creature greatly resembled the humans in Sunset Shimmer's world, she put the papers down and walked out of the room.
Twilight Sparkle walked into the throne room and saw Angelique standing and waiting for her,
"Well? What do you think?" Angelique asked,
"Your other half is more surprising than I thought." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Yup, half angel, half pony, I'm the only one in the world." Angelique said,
"Where are they from?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"A land very far north of Yakyakistan, they're on an island, have to get there by boat, the demons are from there, too, the two were at war when my ancestors discovered them." Angelique replied,
"How about now?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"I don't know." Angelique replied,
"What is that circle above the angel's head?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"A halo, all angels have it." Angelique replied,
"What are the Angelbane and Demonbane?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Swords, I have one, my brother has the other one." Angelique replied,
"Can I see it?" Twilight Sparkle asked, Angelique cast telekinesis and got a sheathed sword from behind her throne, the sword's pommel was yellow and shaped like a crown with three points, the grip was also yellow, and its cross-guard was yellow and shaped like angel wings, the scabbard was white with a yellow locket and chape, Angelique unsheathed the sword and Twilight Sparkle looked at the Demonbane with awe, the entire blade was white and there was a yellow aura around the blade, there were also blue letters of a foreign language engraved on both sides of the blade down the center. Angelique swung the sword down and a yellow trail appeared and followed the sword,
"Can I test you, Angelique?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Sure, let's go outside." Angelique replied, and they went outside.
Twilight Sparkle and Angelique headed outside and the two stood across from each other, the others looked on,
"It's alright, everypony, this is just a friendly spar, I wish to see what Angelique's capable of." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Why?" Angelique asked,
"Research, this is my first time ever hearing about an angel." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Okay, but be warned, angels have powerful magic." Angelique said,
"I'm ready, and no animals to help you." Twilight Sparkle replied, and Angelique flew forward. Twilight Sparkle focused and Angelique and tried to punch Twilight Sparkle with her front hoofs, she jumped back and ducked to dodge every punch, Angelique cast a spell and the sun glowed brightly and it shot down an orange beam, Twilight Sparkle yelped as she teleported away while the sun's beam incinerated whatever it touched, Twilight Sparkle stopped and looked on with shock, Angelique cast another spell and yellow electricity appeared on her horn and in her eyes, a white light surrounded her and she flew forward, Twilight Sparkle shot zaps at her but the white light destroyed her magic,
"What is this?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Holy magic, natural magic of the angels." Angelique replied, and she shot a yellow beam of electricity through the white light, Twilight Sparkle flew above it and crystals formed on the building it hit. Angelique absorbed the sun's rays into her horn and shot orange fire out, Twilight Sparkle put up a shield to block the sun's fire, she put it down and she cast dark magic and canceled out Angelique's white light. Twilight Sparkle tried casting a freeze spell on Angelique but she cast a teleporting spell and disappeared, she reappeared behind Twilight Sparkle and shot her down, she yelped as she fell, she got back up and saw Angelique getting ready to cast another spell, she shot a destructive spell at her and stopped, Angelique had black smoke come out of her body, she unsheathed her sword and did a few diagonal swings, yellow waves came out of the sword and Twilight Sparkle trotted back,
"What is that?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"More holy magic, it's also enchanted on the knights' spears." Angelique replied, and she pointed the Demonbane at Twilight Sparkle and a yellow beam shot out of it, Twilight Sparkle stepped to her right and the beam missed her, it hit the ground and made more crystals come out, Angelique teleported and appeared in front of Twilight Sparkle, she spun around in the air and released yellow waves of holy magic, Twilight Sparkle cast dark magic to cancel out the waves, she then shot a beam at Angelique and she grunted as she got shot back. Angelique moved her front left hoof against the side of the blade facing her and the sword's yellow aura got bigger and brighter and the blue letters glowed, she did a diagonal swing and the yellow waves were now fire,
"Fire?!" Twilight Sparkle said,
"Purifying fire, it destroys dark beings and monsters, as well free those who are possessed." Angelique replied, and she swung Demonbane more and the flames made more crystals appear when they extinguished, Twilight Sparkle cast a spell to make the crystals disappear, Angelique swung Demonbane again and sent out another wave of yellow fire, Twilight Sparkle tried casting dark magic on it but her spell got canceled out, she then tried casting dark magic on Angelique and she got encased in a dark crystal. Twilight Sparkle got ready to take down the dark crystal but it began to crack and yellow light shined out, the crystal exploded and Twilight Sparkle's jaw dropped, Angelique now had a yellow halo above her head, and her eyes, horn, feathers on her wings glowed yellow,
"What are you?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"I can transform, a trait I got from my angel genes." Angelique replied as her voice echoed, Twilight Sparkle looked on with bewilderment,
"Come, Twilight, I'll show you why I'm the ruler of this place." Angelique said, and she was ready to continue fighting. Twilight Sparkle walked backwards slowly while Angelique floated in the air, she spread her wings out and the feathers shot forward, Twilight Sparkle yelped as she quickly put up a shield, the feathers electrified whatever they touched and exploded and sent out yellow fire. Twilight Sparkle's fear got to her while Angelique absorbed light from the sun into her horn, she then shot even bigger yellow flames out of her horn, Twilight Sparkle flew to her left and dodge the trail of fire, she shot a zap at Angelique and it extinguished itself when it hit her, Twilight Sparkle tried casting dark magic again and made crystals appear, they shattered when near Angelique. Angelique's halo glowed brightly and it shot out yellow beams, Twilight Sparkle screamed as she teleported to behind a statue, it stopped and she came out of hiding, Angelique then shot yellow electricity out of her eyes, Twilight Sparkle jumped back and shot a big destructive beam out of her horn and hit Angelique, she looked and saw black smoke coming off of Angelique's body, she swung Demonbane around again and sent out a waves of fire, they missed Twilight Sparkle,
"Is that everything you can do?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"In this form, yes." Angelique replied,
"Well..." Twilight Sparkle said, and she shot another big beam at Angelique and she fell. Angelique reverted back to normal and panted while on the ground, Twilight Sparkle walked to her and saw the iris of her right eye was glowing, the ponies stepped back, her eye and wings turned yellow and came off of her body, they began to take a form. Twilight Sparkle watched the yellow light grow bigger and it stopped, the light disappeared and there was a feminine looking human-like creature standing in front of her, she had pale skin, long yellow hair, two white feathered wings emerging from her back, and blue eyes, she was wearing a white long-sleeve floor-length robe and had a yellow halo above her head. Twilight Sparkle looked at the creature curiously,
"What's going on?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"When I lose to a fight, my angel half comes out of my body to continue fighting, so you're not done yet." Angelique replied, and Twilight Sparkle focused. The angel had yellow light appear on her hands and electricity appeared all around her, Twilight Sparkle walked back as the angel walked forward, she began flying forward and with the electricity around her, Twilight Sparkle shot a zap at her and the angel covered herself with her wings and deflected the zap, the angel spread her wings and sent out waves of yellow fire, Twilight Sparkle flew above them and they missed her. Twilight Sparkle tried casting various spells on the angel but she made a spear out of the yellow energy form in her hands, she threw it and Twilight Sparkle yelped as she just barely dodged it, she shot more yellow electricity out of her hands and Twilight Sparkle cast a shield to block it, the angel then held her right hand out and the Demonbane flew into it. The angel held the Demonbane up high and the sun's rays went into it, the sword's aura now had orange mixed into the yellow, the angel swung the sword around and yellow and orange waves of fire flew around, Twilight Sparkle teleported around to dodge the flames. The angel stopped swinging Demonbane around and Twilight Sparkle tried casting dark magic on the angel, but a yellow cross appeared in front of her and the dark energy was completely destroyed, the angel made white light spin around herself by holding her hands up and she flew to Twilight Sparkle. The angel tried to touch Twilight Sparkle with the white light and she felt herself getting burned by it, she flew back and the angel spread her wings out and shot the feathers at her, they exploded whenever they hit something and released white holy energy, another spear of yellow energy came out of the white light and Twilight Sparkle flew down to dodge it. The angel flew forward and Twilight Sparkle cast dark magic to cancel out the white light, the angel's halo glowed and shot out yellow beams, Twilight Sparkle cast a shield and she got pushed back and panted, the angel looked at her and saw her having trouble flying, Twilight Sparkle shot a big destructive blast at the angel and she stopped when she saw the angel blocked it with her wings,
"What? How?" Twilight Sparkle asked, the angel's feathers caught on fire afterwards and burned off, the angel made blue energy appear on her hands and she touched herself and she was fully healed. Twilight Sparkle fell to the ground and panted, the angel flew to her and landed, she touched Twilight Sparkle and healed her, she walked back to Angelique while picking up the Demonbane and fused back with her and Angelique got her eye and wings back and Demonbane was in her front right hoof, she walked to Twilight Sparkle,
"You alright?" Angelique asked,
"Yeah, you really are a unique specimen, Angelique." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"I am, well, I have a country to run, you should go back, too." Angelique said, Twilight Sparkle nodded, the two shook hoofs and Twilight Sparkle flew back to Canterlot.
Twilight Sparkle arrived back to Canterlot and met with Spike and Fancy Pants,
"Thank you very much, Fancy Pants, I'll be running Equestria now." Twilight Sparkle said,
"You are welcome, Princess Twilight, everything went smoothly during your absence." Fancy Pants replied,
"Glad to hear, go on now." Twilight Sparkle said, and Fancy Pants left,
"What was with the sun acting up?" Spike asked,
"Oh, um, I met a pony who could cast magic that involves the sun." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"Wow, Equestria panicked a little when they saw it." Spike said,
"It's fine, I'll just say I'm still getting used to controlling the sun." Twilight Sparkle replied, and she ran Equestria.
Five days passed and Twilight Sparkle was flying around Equestria to do royal errands, she flew by Silver Shoals and saw Princess Celestia and Angelique conversing, Angelique was wearing her trench coat again and a contact lens was in her right eye to make it look just like her other eye, the two smiled and laughed as they spoke, Twilight Sparkle smiled and flew around. Twilight Sparkle kept flying and stopped again when she saw a newly built animal shelter, there was a list of names of those who donated money on a plaque, she looked and saw her own name, Fluttershy, Angelique, and Darius, she smiled again and flew back to Canterlot. Twilight Sparkle finished her royal errands and flew outside to take a break, she put the sun and the moon beside one another, she flew into the sky and saw several creatures admiring the view, she saw a cliff and Angelique was there, she was not wearing her outfit or contact lens, she looked and saw a stallion standing to her left, she saw he had a black coat, his short mane and tail were purple, bat-like wings, and his right eye was red and his left eye was dark yellow and shaped like a full moon, she realized it was Darius, Angelique smiled at Twilight Sparkle and waved at her, she waved back and went back to her duties.
Two days passed and Twilight Sparkle was seeing Princess Celestia at Silver Shoals,
"The creature that is Angelique's other half is called an angel." Twilight Sparkle said,
"An angel? Did you also find out what her brother's other half is?" Princess Celestia asked,
"Demon." Twilight Sparkle replied,
"I see." Princess Celestia said,
"Where do the citizens of Elysium come from?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Some of them were born there, and Angelique has also been adopting orphaned and homeless foals into Elysium and giving them angel genes, her brother has been doing the same when he takes them to Hades." Princess Celestia replied,
"I also found Angelique's name on a list of those who donated money to build an animal shelter several days ago." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Yes, Angelique and her brother been donating money to Equestria to build orphanages and animal shelters for many years, Angelique also visits them to heal the sick foals and animals." Princess Celestia replied, Twilight Sparkle could not help but smile,
"I think your break's almost up, Twilight, you should go back to Canterlot." Princess Celestia said, and Twilight Sparkle flew back to Canterlot to run Equestria.
