Luna blinked and was baffled why Fluttershy was here so late at night and then she gasped. Luna saw that Fluttershy not only had different wings like a bat but she also had little sharp fangs and red eyes, this was not the Fluttershy she knew. 

"Fluttershy, what has happened to you?" Luna asked. 

Fluttershy looked around before finally speaking up in a voice Luna had never heard Fluttershy ever use and it sounded a bit scratchy.

"I don't feel like Fluttershy" she finally said. 

Luna was now really puzzled, "Why is she like this?" Luna wondered and then it donned on her, this was not Fluttershy, it was Flutterbat.

Luna remembered hearing about an incident where Fluttershy became part bat after being possessed by some of the known Vampire Fruit Bat's desire for apples, and if she was here now then that could only mean she wasn't completely gone when Twilight attempted to cure her. 

"If she really is back then that means she's come for Applejack's apples" thought Luna.

She couldn't just let Flutterbat do all of that, it would ruin the farm. 

"Flutterbat" Luna said, "I can take you somewhere you can eat apples, as long as it's not here." 

Flutterbat, who had been staring up at one of the apple trees looked at Luna, "Fine, just as long as there lots and lots of apples" she said, licking her fangs.

"Oh dear, I'm going to regret this" thought Luna.

Luna then thought this did make Nightmare Night a little bit more interesting. Luna had never seen this other side of Fluttershy and she didn't want to say it to anypony, but she honestly thought she looked better than the original Fluttershy, especially with her bat wings. 

Luna and Flutterbat took off flying over the Apple Family farm and over towards Ponyville. Luna thought of a bakery that served Apple Pie and more, Flutterbat would very much enjoy that. While in the air, Flutterbat stuck out her tongue to catch a fly in her mouth and swallow it. Luna had never seen Fluttershy care so little for animals, let alone eat any. Luna had hoped she would not have to fight Flutterbat, it would not be good.
