At a rocky plain in the area, Star Swirl the Bearded, leader of the Pillars, led his team to spread out and be ready for Lord Tirek when he showed up.
“Spread out and stay ready, friends!” He said to the other Pillars. “Canterlot depends on us!” The other Pillars, Flash Magnus, Rockhoof, Mistmane, Sommambula, and Meadowbrook understood and spread out in all directions so that when Tirek arrived, they would be ready!
Just then, Star Swirl noticed some giant rocks crumbling to the ground. He gasped and looked from his telescope to find Tirek, already on top on one of the rocks! The centaur jumped up and landed in front of Star Swirl who used his magic to zap him only for it to be deflected by Tirek’s arm gauntlets.
As Tirek started to advance toward Star Swirl, Rockhoof noticed and tried to go for him, only for the centaur to summon a rockslide, knocking Him to the ground.
Flash Magnus, Mistmane, and Meadowbrook regrouped to take down Tirek with their magic! Flash Magnus tired to swoop down and get him, but Tirek grabbed him and threw him to the other pillars! Sommambula also tried to swoop down, but Tirek swatted her away to the ground as well.
Tirek used this chance to suck the Pillars’ magic successfully! He smacked his lips after his magic meal. “Magic seasoned with age.” He said with delight. “Delicious.”
Just then, Rockhoof got back up and noticed some of the Pillars were drained of their magic! “No!” he shouted as he tried to head for Tirek. He tried to use his shovel to smash him, only for it to be broken quickly by the centaur’s amazing strength! He was lifted up in the air by Tirek as was almost about to have his powers sucked out as well until a ranger came out of nowhere and slashed him with a mighty sword!
Tirek staggered back at the attack the incoming ranger gave him. “Who did that?!” He shouted angrily. He wanted to know.
The answer was revealed when he saw the ranger right before him. Star Swirl and the other pillars got up and saw him too! They were surprised at what they just saw! He was a red ranger, but he wasn’t Devon Daniels or Tyler Navarro.
“You’re not gonna hurt these protectors, Minotaur!” He said as he struck an action pose! Tirek growled in anger as he wanted to go for him for what he did! Just then, four teens ran up to him and got ready in a pose to fight. One of them was in a yellow top with a striped shirt, one was in a black shirt with blue jeans, one was in a blue athletic shirt with pink yoga pants, and one was in a blue striped shirt with blue pants as well! Their names were Zack Taylor, Billy Cranston, Trini Kwan, and Kimberly Ann Hart! The red ranger was known to his identity as Jason Scott!
“Jason, you alright?” Billy asked him.
“Yeah!” Jason said. “But this minotaur’s bad news! Time to morph into action!”
“Right!” The others got ready and unleashed their Power Morphers...a belt buckle-like weapon with a power coin that gives the rangers their powers...and got ready to pose for morphing. “It’s Morphin’ Time!” The four teens shouted! And in a flash, they started to morph!
“Mastodon!” Zack called out to morph!
“Pterodactyl!” Kimberly called out to morph!
“Triceratops!” Billy called out to morph!
“Saber-Tooth Tiger!” Trini called out to morph! And instantly the four teens morphed into power rangers as well! They were the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers!
“Alright, guys! Let’s do it!” Jason called out to his team.
“POWER RANGERS!” All 5 rangers called out together, introducing themselves to Tirek.
The Pillars were shocked at the rangers who all gathered before Tirek! They have heard about Twilight Sparkle and the elements of Harmony, who saved them from Limbo, and they have also heard of Starlight Glimmer, Twilight’s own star Pupil! Heck, they had even known Celestia and Luna way back when! But they had never heard of anything like the Power Rangers! They were curious as to what powers they had in store for the magic-sucking centaur!

The rangers were ready to take Tirek on! “Here’s the plan!” Jason said to his teammates. “We corner Tirek and give him a taste of our weapons! If that doesn’t work, we bring them together and give them a blast of our mega power! You with me?”
“Right!” Kimberly said.
“We’re with you!” Billy said in agreement.
“With you all the way!” Trini agreed as well.
“Yeah!” Zack shouted. The rangers brought out their weapons and posed as they got ready to fight!
Jason broke his sword out as he got ready! “Alright, Tirek!” He said to him. “You’re going down!”
“You got that right!” Zack said as he got out his power axe! “You’re yesterday’s news!”
“Face it, Tirek!” Billy said as he swing out his power lance to get ready! “You’re finished!”
“So, why don’t you back to where you came from?” Trini said as she busted out her power daggers. “Before you get hurt? Hi-yah!”
“Same goes for Evox!” Kimberly said as she got ready to whip out her power bow!
“I’ll give you rangers a little power drain right now!” Tirek shouted angrily as he started to advance toward them! However, Trini and Kimberly jumped up and threw their weapons at him, knocking him out! “What?!” He shouted in frustration. Zack and Billy used their weapons to strike at Tirek while Jason used his power sword to slash at him.
Their weapons knocked Tirek back a few steps. “You’ll pay for this!” He bellowed furiously.
The rangers landed on the ground and posed. “Alright, guys!” Jason said. “Let’s finish this centaur off!”
“Right!” Billy and Kimberly said!
“Morphin’!” Zack and Trini said as all 5 rangers brought their weapons together.
“Power Axe!” Zack said as he moved the barrel of his axe forward, bringing it up to combine with the other weapons!
“Power Bow!” Kimberly shouted, bringing her bow up in the air, linking it with the Power Axe!
“Power Daggers!” Trini shouted bringing her daggers up in the air, linking them with the Power Axe and Power Bow!
“Power Lance!” Billy shouted as he split his lance in two and threw it up in the sky to combine it with the other weapons!
“Power Sword!” Jason shouted as he jumped up and linked his sword with the rest of the weapons to complete the blaster! He brought the Power Blaster down, and he and the other rangers gathered to use it! They aimed at Tirek, ready to take the shot to him!
“Uh oh!” Tirek shouted in horror!
“Fire!” All 5 rangers shouted. “GO POWER RANGERS!” The Power Blaster fired a blast spot on at Tirek, hitting the centaur RIGHT in the chest really hard!
Tirek staggered back, knowing that he could handle the blast the Mighty Morphin’ rangers just gave him. “Aah!” He shouted. “The ranger’s power blast just isn’t agreeing with me!” He barfed out the pillars’ magic, effectively returning to them. The pillar regained their strength and were ready to take him on a second time!
When Tirek saw that his power was returned to the Pillars, he was shocked. “NO!” He shouted. “Those rangers have ruined my plan!” He was about to shake his fist at them, when he got a call! He knew what it was for! “I’ll be back!” He said furiously! “You can count on it!” And with that, he retreated.
Star Swirl and the others were shocked that Tirek was defeated. He ran up to them. “Who are you?” He asked them. “I never seen such amazing heroes stand up to a monster like Tirek.
“My name’s Jason.” He said, introducing himself. “And this is Trini, Billy, Zack and Kimberly! We’re the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers! And judging by who you look like, you must be Star Swirl and the Pillars, I believe?”
Star Swirl was shocked that he knew who they were! Rockhoof stepped up. “How do you know who we are?” He asked them, “and why did you come here to save us?”
Sommambula flew up and saw them, she landed before them. “Are you the legendary team of Power Rangers?” Sommambula asked them. “The first team that defeated the first space menace?”
“Yeah, we are!” Billy said. “But we gotta warm the rulers of this place! Tirek is about to destroy Canterlot!”
“Then, we must go protect the city!” Star Swirl alerted them. “No matter the cost!”
“Right!” The rest of the pillars and rangers said at the same time as they left the rocky plains to head for Canterlot Castle. They helped the pillars defeat Tirek and restore their magic, but now, they had to head over to the castle where a much awaited surprise would be there when they arrived.
