What gives me the write to do all these things to the characters... (Holds up my keyboard) ...this. Those characters are pawns on my chessboard. When the writer tells them to do something, they SNAP TO IT!!
Sunset's alarm rang, only for her hand to smack it,"Mmm, five more minutes..."
Two certain Digimon yawned and cutely kicked their legs, "Five more minutes."
Coco nodded,"Like they said."
"Hey, are you supposed to be on a plane in a bit?" asked Maadylin sleepily.
Sunset let out a mumble.
Then she sat up,"Wait, what!?" She ran off, grabbing a suitcase and filling it with clothes,"Crap, crap, crap!"
Rainbow Dash stood outside of Sunset's apartment and laughed as she watched her run out, "Sunset, when you are making me look alert. We got problems."
Sunset combed over her hair,"Ah, shut up."
"Hey, don't go changing yo hair on my account, Sunny," Dash chuckles, "It looked great."
Sunset stuck her tongue out.
The two got onboard their bikes and drove towards the airport.
Sunset stopped before getting off. She then pressed a button that made the bike beep.
Vanilla and Coco leaped from the bike an squirmed their way into Sunset's bag. Dash looked at them, and then to Sunset, "So, find any clues to Madlyin's friends?
Sunset sighed,"Not yet, unfortunately."
"Think one of them might even be here on the island?" Dash asked, before Fluttershy came walking up to them.
Fluttershy shook but ried to hide the frar in her eyes. She smiled and said, "Hello everyone.
"Hey, Flutters." Sunset said.
Fluttershy smiled, and ran a finger through her hair, "Hello everyone I-" she let out a gasp as she basked up. Seeing Rhymey walk behind Sunset, smirking before heading into the airport"
"What's wrong?" asked Dash.
"I...I just thought I saw Rhymney,"
Sunset blinked,"Rhymey's dead..."
"I...I know, but I could've sworn I saw him,"Fluttershy said.
Sunset sighed,"I'd say you were seeing things, but in the world, we live in..."
Rainbow Dahs looked and narrowed her eyes, "How?"
"Cyborg, magic, clone, alternate universe, past self..." Sunset began to list.
Rainbow rolled her eyes and sighed with a groan, "Damn it, why can't the world just obey some normal laws just this once!"
Fluttershy let out a giggle as she said, "But that's what makes the world interesting, Dashie."
"Ah, if it isn't the noble and gallant Applejack," Rarity said, stepping out in a white sundress and carrying a few bags. "Come to pick up her lady?"
"Funny, Rares," Applejack said, raising an eyebrow, "And what's with this 'gallant' crap."
"Well my dear," Rarity said, sticking out her hand, "You did go after Tranza in a fit of rage when he was savagely beating me. And you acted so brave to fight for my honor."
"Rares, you were a friend in danger, Ah would’ve done it for any one of ya," Applejack said, taking Rarity by the hand.
Rarity blushed lightly as Applejack took her hand, "Um, yes... of course. Well, let's going in your broken-down steed."
"Hey, Liberty Belle ain’t broken down, she's just slow," Applejack said, leading Rarity to her truck and sat in before driving towards the Airport.
Rarity watched as the city of Mystic Island passed her by, the building passing by and shimmering. Looking at one of the tall towers, she saw an advertisement for Lexcorp. Looking down, she frowned before asked, "Applejack, do you think it's possible for me to achieve my dream?"
"Sure it is. We're heading off for a fashion show ain’t we?" Applejack said with a shrug.
"No, not just that," Rarity said, and looking at her, "Without turning into a Luthor? I thought I could but look at our argument with Sunset. I kept so close to my chest and let my emotions get to me that I..."
"Hey, neither you or Sunset were right in that fight and I think you both realize that you were kind of being idiots," Applejack said, laying her head to her shoulder, "It happens. But that doesn't mean that you'll end up being the next Luthor. At the very least, a Maxwell Lord."
"That's not very funny," Rarity said, lightly nudging Applejack before looking down, "It's something I'm still nervous about. Generous business people don't exactly make it far. The Waynes were an exception and look at what happened to them!"
Applejack sighed before putting a hand on her shoulder, "Look if it'll make you feel better, if I see you turning into Lex Luthor the third? I'll slap ya."
Rarity smiled warmly as he looked at Applejack, before turning to look ahead, "Is that Pinkie."
Pinkie waved, telling them to keep driving. After the truck had driven a few feet away from her, she ran, swung from a flagpole, and landed on the back of the truck. Then she looked at the pair and waved hello. The two girls looked at each other, shook their heads and continued to drive.
Shining smiled as he led Twilight to the car, "Bet you are excited huh sis? Heading to Tibet with your friends. Seeing rare sights! Hell, I even heard that the P.E teacher is coming too. Awesome right?"
"Yeah, great," Twilight muttered.
Shining frowned as he watched Twilight get in the car and he began to drive. As they drove through the city, he said, "Look, Twilight..." with a sigh he thought (Times like this, I miss Mom and Dad. They would've been better at this.) "I know your high school life hasn't been the best. Changing schools, losing your memories, turning into that devil thing, I know it's tough. Can you imagine what's it been like for me? I had to hear the school talk about how you had this alternate dimension twin show up."
(Pinkie had tears in her eyes as she ran and hugged Twilight. The Twilight from Equestria looked weird and then hugged her back.)
"And then when you woke up, acting like you bearly knew anything," Shining sighed, "I'm surprised I didn't go crazy from worry over you."
(He cares nothing! HE is going to be with that Whore soon, and leave you in the dust. HE left you alone with that alien. Remember?)
Flash smiled as he looked at Twilight, "So Twilight, I heard you know a lot about Sunset."
"Yeah," Twilight said, playing with her hair and blushing, "She's a pretty cool gal. Been one of my best friends since I came to this school."
"I see, and would you say she is strong? Like one of the best duelists in this school? Could she potentially stop someone from accomplishing their plans?" asked Flash.
Twilight giggled and shook her head, "Flash, what's with the wried questions? Is this some sort of first-day game?"
"No, not at all," Flash said, his body turning crystal, "I just need to take something from you."
"Flash?" Twilight asked, looking at his alien form, "You were an alien all this time? W-what is with that look?"
"Oh, just do her in and be done with it Flash, we have a schedule to keep. That annoying Lightning is here too!" grumbled the queen as she narrowed her eyes.
"D-do me in?" gasped Twilight as she shook her head in fear as Flash held out his hand, "No, wait, don-AHH!HHHHHHHHHHH! S-sunset, save...me."
(They left you alone!)
"Twi? You spaced out there," Shining said.
Twilight glared at the back of the seat,"Just take me there."
Shining frowned, "Twilight if you are dealing with a broken heart...you can talk to me about it. I know we haven't been very close, but I would like to know if I can still-"
"If you think you can help, you can't. So stuff it," Twilight said, turning her head away.
Shining frowned as they made it to the airport. Grey smiled as he waved to the group, "Ahh and the last member of the group is here. Everyone ready?"
"Um, excuse me, Mr. Son," asked Rarity, "Why are you here? Miss Rumiko, I can understand, being a history teacher, but why you?"
"Oh, I'm interested n some artifacts," Gre said (And there is someone I want to talk to about this whole dragonlord thing.)
Rumiko wilted in the corner,"I'm a science teacher..." A blue haze came over her.
"I am so sorry dear," Rarity said, "It's just easy to forget with how often we get new teachers all of the time. I am half surprised if we DON'T get a new history teacher soon."
Applejack rolled her eyes, "If that happens, then I'll kiss ya on the lips.
Sunset whispered,"Please do, I want that extra five bucks."
Rainbow leaned in, "Extra five?"
"Yea, I made on whether or not those two were going to get it on," Sunset said.
"Put me down for ten that they are definitely are going to get it on," Dash said. "Those two are like, SO gay for each other. You have to be an idiot not to see where this is going."
"Dashie, could you help me with my bags?" asked Fluttershy.
Dash shrugged, "Eh, why not."
After the plane left Mystic island, Grand Ruler watched and played with the syringe that held the G-1 cells. He sighed, "I wish it hadn't come to this, but I must. I have to thank that Lighting boy fr finding this for me." he said spinning it and looking at it, "Modified cells from Godzilla, plus the power of a monster from Lord Zedd, and just a touch of human DNA. This could make me a powerful god, ora devil. Well, as long as I regain my power and my throne."
The plane soared high in the sky, each one of the girls was paired with the other. The only one left out was Twilight, who sat alone at a window seat. She frowned as she watched the continent pass by below, memories of the year passing her by and all of her trauma.
Sunset, as she slept, had a separate dream. In the dream world, she found herself at the school, after she had stolen the crown.
(Looking up, she saw Lightning fighting the Queen Crystallite on a nearby building, while the other Starfleet members tried to fight back, but each failed. Shaking her head, she ran to the top of the building and watched as Lighting fell before the queen. Shaking her head, she took a hold of the rainbow rod and glared at the crystal queen. No words could be heard as she taunted the monster. Then she watched as the alien turned into an unholy abomination. Taking the rod, she concentrated and through the use of the element of fate, she summoned Ultima.
The scene changed to her standing before a shrine, Fluttershy struggling against Rhymey's hand as he forced it to a pedestal. Then she could hear a scream as Fluttershy was stabbed and her blood was used to unleash the powerful dragon.
Behind her, three powerful machines arose, echoing one phrase...
"Two are One, One is Two")
Sunset opened her eyes for a moment, and then looked up at the ceiling,"What the hey does that mean!" She yelled.
Rumiko was still wilting in her seat,"No one notices me..."
Grey patted her shoulder, "Hey no one notices us, teachers. That's what makes the job fun.
Rumiko mumbled to herself.
Slowly the plane landed and the girls were quickly driven to their hotel. Once there, they all gathered in Sunset's room and looked up the map, "Ok, so first we head to the tomb, but how are we gonna get in? It's not like they are going to just let us inside." Applejack said.
Sunset smirked,"We could punch our way in."
"Punch our way in? and then have us get arrested?" Applejack asked.
Rainbow Dash smirked and threw a rubber ball into the ceiling, "Works for me. Get out of school for a few weeks."
"And it would be fun!" Pinkie said.
Rarity shook her hea,d "No, they are right. This has to be stealthily. Plans, Twilight?"
Twilight began muttering something before speaking up,"Didn't Sunset use her stealth to sneak up on Grey Son?"
"Yeah, but how will that help Flutters?' asked Dash.
Fluttershy gasped, "Oh, I can follow her and she can keep me hidden. Then at least I'll be safe."
"Safe?" asked Applejack," What's wrong."
"I thought saw Rhymey. I could've been wrong but maybe the assassin's used a disguise to scare me," Fluttershy said.
"Yeah, but I'm still going to be worried," Dash said.
Pinkie gasped, "Hey Twilight could find a way to help us after Sunny is gone."
"Yeah, because all I am is a replacement for Sunset, right?" Twilight growled.
Pinkie looked a little down, "No, I just thought that you would be super smart and creative."
Twilight sighed,"I'll figure something out."
That night, Rhymey stepped into the hotel room. Smiling, he walked up to her sleeping form and reached for her. Before his hand can touch her, a Batarang flew out and struck the desk. Looking up, he saw Nightwing on a windowsill wagging his finger. This made the former Starfleet member disappear.
Looking to his left, Nightwing said, "Thanks for the warning, Sunset."
Sunset stepped from the shadows,"No problem. Though, how did he disappear like that? Is he some sort of ninja or something?"
"He came back right?" asked Nightwing, "He's either a member of the league of shadows or using magic."
"Oh, I hope it's the League. The idea of an idiot like him working for that group is too hilarious to think about."
Nightwing couldn’t help but smile at this, then he said, "Watch yourself tomorrow. I'm going to be doing some investigations of my own."
"Alright. By the way, how did you get here again?" Sunset asked.
Sunset would find herself talking to nothing but air
"... What the fuck...?" Sunset muttered
The next morning, Rarity and Applejack and Pinkie waved goodbye to their friends, "LEt us know if you managed to make your way into the dig site. We'll be busy at the show."
"Sorry we can't be there," Applejack said, looking at Sunset.
Sunset sighed,"Nah, it's fine. If we come across a giant monster or something, you'll know about it."
"Oh but what if the giant monster is actually waiting for us back home, just waiting for the opportunity to kill us and we'll need some big guns for it!" Pinkie said.
Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes, "Pinkie if that happens I'll eat your hair."
Sunset began to write that down,"We'll remember that."
Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes and followed the girls onto the bus, traveling to the dig site. Once there, Grey waved goodbye to his students, "You girls have fun with the guide. I need to talk to someone." and with that, he walked off.
As the woman began a long description of the dig, Rainbow leaned into Sunset and asked, "How are we going to get into that chamber?" she asked looking to the large hole down in the bottom of the dig site.
Sunset thought for a moment,"We may have to do it at night, where there'll be fewer people around."
Dash groaned, "At night?!"
"It's going to be harder to sneak by during the day."
"Grr," Rainbow Dash growled, "Then what am I supposed to do then?"
"We could shop around?" Fluttershy said, taking Dash's hand, "If you want.
Rainbow rolled her eyes and said, "Fine."
Sunset frowned as she studied the area,"For now, I need to get a good view of the area."
A few unseen men watched as the three split up and began to whisper to each other. Elsewhere Rhymey watched and smiled as he looked at Fluttershy passing by. Sighing he sad, "Oh, my beloved Fluttershy...if only you needn't to die."
"Alright Rex, talk to me," Dick said, standing next to a tree.
A man turned to look at Dick, his khaki pants and shirt doing little to hide the shades of purple and brown that composed his body. His white head opened his eyes wide when he saw dick and stepped back, "Gahh, give me a heart attack why don't ya! I swear, you and the bat..."
"Yeah, I get that a lot," Dick said, chuckling. "I was kind of hoping you might tell me about the dragonlords and their little burial chamber."
"Oh, you mean the one that Wondy just told me to do everything I can to stop these guys from opening or all die?" He chuckled, and looked at Dick, "Oh don't be shocked. The moment Diana heard about it, she talked to me on the comm all about that big dragon down there and to be careful and yadda yadda. I told her that I've been on a hundred digs, and I know what I'm doing."
"I was more interested in how far you got, or what you found," Dick asked.
Metamorpho shrugged, "Nothing that ground breaking. Just a large chamber with five slots for something and some weird inscriptions. Couldn't make heads or tails of it. It did say that only two could open it. Have no idea what that means."

"Two are one, one is two," one person read from a book, "What does that even mean?"
Sunset gasped,"My dream..."
"The Legend of Rayearth. IT was said that the dragonlords had a secret weapon to devastate the dragons when they roamed the earth. Mystical armor called the Rayearth. They made sure that no one dragonlord was superior to the other, each of the armors was made so two could work at one on it. This also tied to their belief of keys and locks.”
"Beliefs in keys and locks?"
"Yes, according to this, they seemed to be fond of making their locks and keys come in pairs," the archeologist said.
"Hmm, pairs..." She took this down.
It seems that the magic comes from joining in pairs...
Rainbow Dash frowned and shook her head as she followed Fluttershy through the market place. Her eyes showing how bored she was and how much she hated being there. Then she looked up to see Fluttershy walking ahead of her and then she smiled warmly. Fluttershy turned around, and looked back, blushing at Rainbow.
Rainbow Dash returned the smile and walked with her through the market.
Elsewhere, Rarity and Applejack watched the show together. Rarity smiled warmly as she watched the girls walk down in her outfits and she laid a hand onto Applejack's. Applejack watched and looked at Rarity. Smiling, she held Rarity's hand back.
Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash continued their walk, ot talking but enjoying their time together. Rainbow looked at Fluttershy and felt her heartbeat a little quicker. Shaking her head, she continued to walk with her, hand in hand.
"Now," whispered Rhymey.
Before Rainbow could tell, the crowd began to swarm them, separating her and Fluttershy. When she was gone, she shouted, "Fluttershy?"
"HELP!" whispered Fluttershy as she was taken away by Rhymey.
Dash looked around and raced to Sunset.
Around Sunset, a small trail of smoke began to move across the ground, causing several people to pass out.
Sunset looked down at the smoke,"What in the-" She grabbed her belt,"Henshin." She said, transforming,"What is this?"
Rainbow Dash ran to Sunset, "Someone nabbed Flutters!”
"What!?" Sunset said,"Show me where you last saw her!"
Rainbow Dash looked at the village nearby and pointed, quickly morphing, "We gotta get a henshin phrase," she thought to herself before looking at Sunset, "In that village, we were shopping around, I was noticing how cute she looked, do I want to date her, and then this crowd swarmed us. Then she vanished!"
As the people began to fall around them, Dick put on a rebreather and began to look around, "Looks like we might be experiencing a little bit of a problem," he said, stepping back behind a tree and throwing off his shirt and exposing his Nightwing uniform, " See anything?"
Metamorpho sighed and looked around, "I think I might be seeing a guy in the distance. I think whoever is doing this might have a friend from Central visiting."
"Great, what we don't need," Dick said, looking for a place to his. "You help the people, I think it's about time I head to the crypt.
Sunset looked around. She tapped her belt,"Hey, Starly, does my helmet have a sensor or anything?"
Rainbow Dah arched an eyebrow "Starly?"
"My belt."Sunset smirked.
Then her belt spoke,"Hello, Blue Ranger."
Dash took a step back and grumbled, "My transformation device doesn't talk. You riders get all of the cool stuff."
Sunset giggled, before looking down at her belt,"Do I have a sensor."
"Access Blue Star mode."
Sunset spun her belt around, going into Blue Star, and began to search the area
There was a trail leading away from the village and straight into the cave. Rainbow Dash sighed and looked down, "I should've protected her better. I should’ve kept a good eye on her."
As Rarity watched her show, she began to write down on a list, "Harmonic Rangers? Rangers of Harmony?"
"You know, we ain’t technically official rangers," Applejack said.
"Technically we are. If we are connected to the morphing grid, are we not rangers. Thus we need a new team name," Rarity said. "Definitely not one that associates us with the old ones."
"Still miffed about Starla and everything?" Applejack asked.
Rarity sighed, "She could've been a good girl, but she let that monster take her over. If there was only something we could’ve done."
"Rainbow, it's okay, anyone would've been lost here." Sunset said,"Now, contact the others." She said, heading towards the cave.
"Wait, are you sure?" Dash asked, "They're busy and Rarity needs this?"
Sunset sighed,"Then I guess we're on our own." She smiled,"Just the two of us, the most awesome lazy girls around!"
Rainbow Dash happily fist-bumped Sunset and they ran inside, seeing some knocked out League of Shadows agents along the way, "Let me guess, Nightwing?"
Sunset nodded,"Most likely."
Inside the cave, Fluttershy grunted and struggled as she was pulled into the chamber. Looking around, she couldn't help but be scared of the looming darkness and the overall dread that the cave had brought. Though she loved to play with animals who lived in caves, this was cave brought forth a feeling of death with so many bones and skulls laying around her. In front of her was a large door with five vials of blood in front of her. Pulling her was Ryhmey, who smiled at the ninjas that surrounded the cavern, his father in front of the cave, "I must admit, I am shocked at this. Never in a million years did I think that summoning a world destroying dragon required the bond of two."
"Was that what our whole relationship was about," Fluttershy asked, struggling, "Was just so you could prep me for this?"
"Mother and son, brother and sister, cousins, lovers," Rhymey said, looking at his father and smiling, "Any type of bond was necessary. But the last key, the blood of a dragonlord and someone who she loved above all? That needed to brew."
"Why try and make me a killer? "asked Fluttersy.
"Why? Think of what happens when you were so broken, you would be watched by me and taken. Had your friends not gotten that lawyer I would've had you at home and made you fall into my trap," Rhymey said.
"So it was all a lie?"
Rhymey laughed, "No more of a lie than all of the times I seduced the other women over the centuries, just to get the dragonlord. Now we have you here, We can FINALLY put your blood to use. Sadly, you won't survive."
"You’ll kill me?" Fluttershy gulped.
"How else will we make sure that the dragonlord stops here? When we told the Demon' s Head that we would summon the World Destroyer, we promised we would kill the only one capableof stopping us," Rhymey said.
"My friends will," Fluttershy grunted.
"Oh stop telling her everything and slit the wench's wrist, her friends are coming and so is the bird!" shouted Harry, pulling down his hood.
"I am just trying to get her in the mood. She must remember our love," Rhymey said.
"I don't love you! And you'll die too,"Fluttershy siad.
Rhymey shrugged, "The power of the pit is fun and I've gotten used to it." This casualness made Fluttershy's eyes widen.
"HELP!" she shouted and continued her struggles.
"LET HER GO!" Rainbow Dash shouted, standing with Sunset. Then she looked at her, "See, told ya it would be cooler to do the badass entrance line instead of you."
Sunset rolled her eyes,"I'd have looked cooler." She aimed her gun at Rhymey,"Drop it, or I prove just how good of a shot I am."
"You shoot, and I cut her wrist," Rhymey said. "Bet I can cut her faster than you can shoot."
Harry looked at Sunset and shook his head, "Why? Can you not see we are doing you a favor? We are wiping out the world, cleansing it with the fires of the dragon and eliciting a rebirth. Was this not you wanted, to free Mystic Island from Grand Ruler, Sunset? An ending so you can head home with your head held high?"
Sunset narrowed her eyes under her helmet, rubbing the trigger, "What I want, is my friends to be happy in the end. Nothing more, nothing less. That's the gift I'm leaving them."
"You see, this is where you are wrong. The world as it is can not allow happiness or dreams. This is why we need the dragon," Harry looked at Rhymey, "because girls like the dragonlord are destined to die. Pacifism is nothing more than sweet dreams for the foolish. Now, drop your gun and allow the fires to be summoned."
In the shadows, a single wingding glinted in the firelight, aiming for the knife.
Harry frowned and sighed, "Ninjas, kill the bird."
the Wingding flew from the darkness, striking the knife...letting loose all hell.
Sunset fired on Rhymey,"I am going to enjoy this!"
Rhymey backed up a little and smirked, "So am I."
Sunset fired on him.
Rhymey et out a howl ‘oof!’ pain from the energy blast, letting Fluttershy slip from his grop. Growling, he made to trip her as she ran to get some distance and morph. He looked back at Fluttershy and threw a few daggers at her before looking to his father, "Father! Help me!"
"You foolish brat!" Harry shouted as he jumped from the upper part of the cave and brought out a rapier. Looking at Sunset he said, "Or is the rider so frightened of a swordsman to fight fairly."
As Rhymey ran to Fluttershy, a chakram whizzed passed his hair, "You ruined my friendship with her, abused her, made me feel like shit for years because I couldn't protect her? You are gonna pay!" Dash said, kicking the lightning chakram at Rhymey's arm.
As Rhymey screamed, he could hear Fluttershy quietly say, "Rangers, Harmonize." and in a flash, she was in her yellow outfit.
He looked from Fluttershy as she ran to stand with Dash, "You have no weapons, dyke, what is your battle going to be like?"
"With the ones I care the most about," Fluttershy whispered.
Nightwing ducked under some of the blades. Before running up a wall and kicking one ninja in the face. Grabbing an assassin by the hand, he said, "Tell me, you aren't all suicidal right?"
"Not all of us," whispered the assassin "Some of us are on your side."
"What?" Nightwing asked, looking at him
"Aw, Daddy come to save his wittle boy?" Sunset made a kissy face to Harry, before switching to Red Giant form and held her sword in front,"Shame, my sword's bigger than yours."
Harry looked down and chuckled, "If you expect me to make a vulgar comment about sizes and how to use it, you do not know me!" he said, slashing at her, blade missing her. He slashes two more times, aiming at her legs. One of the slashes struck at her thigh, while the other was caught on her blade. The two joined, he looked into the compound eyes of her helmet, "You think you can win this? I toppled kingdoms, killed kings and queens. This last task fo my master will be done!"
Fluttershy used her shield to block the daggers from Rhymey, absorbing the blows. When Rhymey pulled back from the blades, Dash jumped in with a kick and slashed at his midsection with her chakram. Ducking under his first slash, she uppercutted him with a right fist. Rhymey pulled back and slashed at Rainbow’s stomach, letting out a growl as her suit protected her.
"What do you mean?" Nightwing asked, looking into the ninja's eyes.
"You don't think the League of Shadows was the only one. Look, we've been eyeing their operation here for a while. We think they got it wrong, remember, everything has a pair?" th ninja whispered.
"Yeah, that doesn't impress me." Sunset chuckled, before sweeping at his leg with her sword.
Harry let out a grunt and fell onto his back. Growling, he stabbed upward toward's Sunset's heart. Moving to eh side, Sunset kicked at him and slashed at his side. Harry got up and began a quick series of blows, each attack parried and blocked. Each strike accompanied with a musical clang and a spark of energy as the blades collided. Harry slashes at Sunset's side, his sword bearly scratching hr suit, "I keep forgetting, you who are connected to the morphing grid have great strength and your suits add special protection. This is why I come prepared."
Rhymey smirked as he stood up, panting and looked at Fluttershy and Rainbow, "He's right, I think it's time to even the field.
"What are you talking about?" Dick asked, looking at his red ninja friend.
The man blocked and kicked away a league member, "My friend, Cam, studied and looked it up. He thinks that there are two ancient dragons, one for death and one for life. He thinks-" before he could continue, he turned to watch as the rest of the ninjas began to glow, "Uh oh..."
"Let me guess," Dick said, "Added power."
"Yeah, let me level the playing field," he said, removing his red suit, revealing a tan man dressed in a red gi. Holding out his arm, he pressed his left two fingers alongside a disc as he shouted, "Ninja Storm, RANGER FORM!"
"Prepared?" Sunset asked.
He then held up a glove, "An old Lexcorp experimental device. He called it a 'Ranger Deterrent'. Just in case Rangers turned evil or went wild." As he pressed it, his body glowed for a moment, charged with unnatural energy, "Let's call it, a little morphing tool of our own. I heard another company called BOARD had a similar one." In a flash, he ran to Sunset, slashing out and striking, managing to score a blow on her.
Rhymey smirked, "It's a shame...I would've loved to tell my friends that I had a way to give them their powers back!" In a flash, he was once more in his armor from Starfleet. Smirking, he raced at Dash and struck her in the helmet.
"URRGH!" Dash grunted and got up, "Ok...now it's going to be fun."
In a powerful whirlwind of wind and light, the ninja was now dressed in a red spandex suit, a symbol of an eagle on his chest, matching his helmet. reaching behind him, he pulled out his blade and looked at Nightwing, "Wanna run?"
"No way," Dick smirked.
Sunset gasped as she held her side,"That actually hurt!" She glared at him as she swung back at him.
His blade met hers with a musical clang as he smirked, "We had to match up with you rangers somehow." he then thrust, only to miss Sunset by an inch. Sunset just curled her lips under her helmet into a faint smile. She leaped onto the top of the blade, kicked Harry in the face and knocked him back. Backflipping, she slashed at his wrist and then landed on her palm.
Harry looked down, "Will you cut the woman already and drain her blood?" he shouted, locking each hit.
Rainbow blocked the blade with her chakram, pulling Rhymey in for a kick. Rolling away, he looked to Fluttershy and shouted, "Drill Quill," and with that, his sword dispersed into several blades and struck out, sending the flurry of blades at Fluttershy.
Though she blocked some, the others managed to pass through the shield and cut into her suit. The protective armor sending out sparks as the energy struggled to keep the suit intact from breaking. Rhymey leaped up into the air and fired another volley. Rainbow threw her chakrams, blocking the shots and then kicked a lightning charged one at Rhymey.
Sunset flipped over and kicked him the back.
Harry fell down and looked up at Sunset, his eyes glaring at her, "You realize that this loss, your win? It means nothing! All I need to do is hold off until he cuts her open."
Dash blocked the sword, glaring down at Rhymey as their blades locked. Rhymey chuckled, "Tell me. Is it true?"
"What is?"
"The only reason you are protecting her, the only reason why you were willing to obey me and abandon her, is because you love her?" he chuckled, "My little dyke?"
"What does he mean, abandon me?" Fluttershy asked.
Rainbow frowned, "When we separated from each other, the only reason why I left you was that he threatened you. I couldn't let him hurt you, any of you."
"But why?" asked Fluttershy.
"Simple, because she loves you," Rhymey chuckled, kicking Dash down and breaking her visor, drawing blood "As in... LOVES you."
"She...loves me?" Fluttershy gasped as she felt her gem inside her morpher glow faintly. Looking down, she whispered, "Two is one, one is two.."
Dash smiled as her suit regenerated and her chakram began to glow faint blue energy, matching Fluttershy's gem. Looking back, she spun the chakram in a circle before throwing it ar Rhyme, "Loyal,"
Rhymey moved to the side, dodging the attack, only to see Fluttershy catch it, "Kind!"
"Infinite Slash!" they said together as Fluttershy threw it back at her friend, cutting into Rhymey. Together the two began to throw the blade, back and forth, soon creating a glowing infinity symbol.
Rhymey let out a bloody yell as the power surged forward, cutting deep with him and sending him to his knees. Growling, he looked up at Fluttershy, "Heh, so, is this Kindness? Is this how you answer your little question? You have proven me right, you can't survive in this world being kind and a pacifist. And you certainly can't be a hero."
"You're wrong, I can," Fluttershy said, standing with Dash as she looked down at Rhymey. " I can help my friends, heal them when they need it, or be there to offer a kind word. I can still fight but in my own way. Being a good pacifist doesn't mean doing nothing and letting others get hurt, it's about helping and protecting those who need it. Unlike you, who kills relenetlessly."
"So, are you going to kill me?" Rhymey asked.
Harry looked up as he was knocked down by Sunset, "Or me?"
Sunset held her sword up to his throat,"Tell me, do you apologize?"
"What?" asked Harry.
"You heard her," Dick said, walking back with Nick and looking at him, "Apologies for our crimes."
"I...I..." Harry growled.
Sunset tipped his chin up with her sword,"Well?"
Harry smirked, holding a kunai in his palm, "I said I am sorry for-"
Nightwing's billy club quickly knocked him out before he could make a move. Then looking to his side, he threw a wingding at Rhymey, also knocking him out before he could stab a de-morphing Fluttershy in the back. "Man, these villains and their cliches."
As Fluttershy de-morphed, she looked to Rainbow Dash and looked away, blushing a little, "Um...Dashie. Is what he said, right? That you..."
"I," Dash began to back up and look away, "Look, it's complicated. I mean, we've been friends for a while, and you are pretty cool when you get assertive. And you are probably one of the strongest gals I know. I mean, you kind of have to be to put up with me and you kind of do keep my head on the ground when I need to be."
"You, like me when I'm assertive?" Fluttershy asked. Then she smiled warmly and said, "You know I'm in love too right?"
"Wha-" before Dash could say anything, Fluttershy kissed Rainbow Dash, pushing her back so both their hands touched upon the dais together.
There was a shake and the door slowly began to open, slowly moving. Dick stepped with Sunset and looked up, "Let me guess, everything there is the opposite. A dragon god of death, and one-"
"Of life," Nick said, watching as the chamber opened, revealing a skeleton of a golden dragon.
Fluttershy looked up and whispered, "Bahamut? No...a disciple."
"Disciple?" Dash asked.
"Who do you think taught the dragonlords how to fight the evil dragons, or to stop the destroyer? It was good dragons like him," Fluttershy said. "Some used to even ride them and they would even lend their bones when they died to help them build armors to defeat the evil dragons. Like the great destroyer."
Dash looked at a picture next to the skeleton, "Giant mechs."
"It's what my father left hoe to find. He wanted to see if there was any truth to them, or if any good dragons are left," Fluttershy said.
"He didn't find any, did he?" Dick asked.
Fluttershy shook her head, "No..."
Sunset could see the picture of three giant war machines in the chamber, standing under an island.
"My dream..." Sunset said,"Wait, under an island? Which island could that be..."
"Dash shook her head, "You can't mean..."
"No, you're right it’s..."
"Here at Mystic Island, we provide many benefits Mr. Luthor, why so interested in it?"
Alexander Luthor Jr. smiled,"Oh, it's just a nice little place to live, don't you think?"
Sunset groaned, “Of course, it's Mystic Island."
"So, want to tell the girls that you are heading home next after all of this?" Dick said, helping Nick tie-up Harry and the others.
Dash groaned, "Can't believe after all of that... we get to go back."
"Well, not exactly," Fluttershy said, looking at another chamber, "Look."
Dash blinked as she whispered, "Dragon eggs? And a map of..."
"Other clutches! I bet that you could find more dragons like this," Fluttershy whispered.
Nightwing nodded, "Look, you girls head back to your hotel before your teachers miss you. I’ve got some mage friends who can look and take care of this.
Sunset nodded,"But are those eggs even alive?"
"Guess I'll find out later."
"My word, what an experience," Rarity said, sitting in the hotel room with the others. "I am sorry we couldn't be there.
"Nah, you had something important to do." Sunset said.
"Yes, but," Rarity sighed, feeling Applejack's comforting hand on her shoulder.
Pinkie giggled, "So, our really cool robots are under our homes all this time? COOOL!"
"Yeah, but the question is, how to get to them..." Sunset said,"And if we can get them to work."
Vanilla popped out from the backpack, "Wait, me and Coco know!"
Coco nodded, before asking, "how do we know again?"
"When we found the gems in the caves, we saw a long tunnel leading away from them," Vanilla said.
Rainbow looked up from her DS, "Wait you found the gems there?"
"Hmmm, curious," Rarity said, "Our gems came from a cave that all were attuned to us."
"So, I guess when we get home, we'll have to explore the cave," Applejack said.
"Say it," Pinkie said, smiling"
Applejack looked at Pinkie and then sighed, "Spelunking." this made Pinkie giggle like mad
Sunset snickered a little,"Alright."
"Well, I'm heading back to my room," Applejack said, tipping her hat, "Night girls."
"Oh Applejack, allow me to join you," Rarity added, getting up s well, "That book you had sounded absolutely fascinating an I so want to read it."
As the two began to leave, Rainbow looked to Sunset, spread her two fingers on her hands and began to scissor them together, "Yeah, read."
"Rainbow," Fluttershy admonished before kissing her girlfriend on the cheek, "Be nice."
Rarity peeked in and said, "Oh and congratulations you two."
"Thanks," Dash said with a smile.
(Look at them, Twilight. They re so happy, but what did they do when they found your heart broken? They didn't even care.)
Twilight read a book,"I'm not in the mood, Mr. Voice."
(Did.. did you just give me a name?)
"Well, you didn't have a name. Unless you wanted to be named Faust or something."
(Faust, I like that. I was just shocked you gave me a name, or that you can not be in the mood to hear me.
"I'm busy reading." Twilight sighed,"I figured that you need to understand that I have my responsibilities, and you need to respect that, Faust."
(Well...Well...FINE! I can wait for you to finish reading. Then you and I are gonna have a LOOONG talk about listening to the voices in your head, little missy!)
"Yes, heaven forbid I decide when to start talking. You’re not my mother!" Twilight shouted.
Sunset gave her a weird look,"All I asked was if you wanted some toast?"
Pinkie looked at Twilight, "Are you ok, Twilight? You looked weird for a second."
"Not as weird as you..." Twilight muttered.
"And proud of it!" Pinkie giggled, leaving the room with only Sunset and Twilight staying.
Sunset and Twilight looked at each other in awkward silence.
"So... uh..." Sunset was about to say something.
Twilight got up,"Stuff it." She said before leaving.
"Let me tell you about change and endings," Grand Ruler said as he began to walk through the cave beneath the school and towards the elevator, "I was always afraid of things changing back to the way they were. Of how they would destroy us in the end and ruin everything we had made."
"Maybe, it's best for me to start at the beginning. Yes, a good place to start. I was a simple stable boy, living in the home of a rich man nicknamed Titan. Oh, don't ask why he had the name, perhaps it was to match his woman Terrace von Solaris, or Terra as she was known. Their names were not important, who was though, was their daughter. The fair Celestia."
Grand Ruler chuckled to himself as he began to step onto the elevator, his arms beginning to grow, with twin blades beginning to jut from the forearms, "Ahhh, my lady Celestia. How I loved her. The beauty, the grace, the power, and the kindness. How I wanted her, to bed her, and to make her mine. I figured it was the perfect fairytale," he let out a grunt as his legs grew larger now, turning white like the rest of his skin. "I even told her how I felt and what did she do? She rejected me! Told me that, she didn't feel the same way and that we should be friends!"
"I WAS NICE TO HER AND THAT DIDN'T EARN HER LOVE! I EARNED HER BODY BECAUSE I WAS KIND!" he growled, his face becoming horse-like. "I thought it was over, that I couldn't earn her. That...was wen he came to me. He offered me the chance to fix things, to correct my destiny, to change fate into the way t was meant to be. He had control over life, death, and the power to bend the world to his liking, all I had to do was find his chosen soul. The one who was the bridge between magic and science. I didn't care, I just wanted the power!"
Grande Ruler began to laugh, wings sprouting from his back as his size began to increase, hair becoming longer and course like a horse. After calming down, he smiled, "I figured then: How can I make her love me? I earn her love. by showing her that I was worthy of taking her heart for myself. I saw in the multiverse, an island. An island of power and magic that was perfect for my means. So, I asked my benefactor to make some changes, and have the people think that the island was there all along. That I had earned all of this money from investments and being an astronaut. It was easy enough, a few changed here and there, and boom. I was the owner of my own island, city, and hell, why not a school?"
He looked down at his hands and legs as they began like hooves. Growling he began to hit the ground, becoming quadrupedal. With each change, he grunted and screamed in pain as he reached the top floor, "But it wasn't enough. No...it was never enough. I wanted the world to learn that change was bad and that there were those of us who were destined for greatness. That there were those of us who were meant to become gods if we were just given the chance to make it so. If we were just given it on a silver platter. So, I picked students who would represent this ideal and put those who weren't destined down. To make them see the true power of people like me and change things to the right path. And in the end, it wasn't good enough. My chosen are gone, my wife is fading and my world is crumbling. All! BECAUSE of OF! HER!!!!!"
The roar caught the attention of the rangers as their plane set down, watching as Grand Ruler erupted from the school, obliterating much of it and rearing his head back letting out a roar. His three horns shining in the setting sun and he spread his wings, "Sunset...is that Celesto?"
"I think we might need the mecha..."
Sunset pulled out her belt,"I don't think I can Rider Kick that..."
Grand ruler looked and began stomping around Mystic island, his tail and hooves causing massive shakes and the buildings to start to burn and crack. Dick immediately got on his bike and into his Nightwing outfit, driving off.
Dash looked at Applejack’s truck and then back to her, “Think ya get us to that cave in that jalopy?”
“Just watch me,” Applejack said, letting everyone follow her to the truck.
Madlyn leaped out of Sunset's apartment seconds before the hoof slammed into the building. Looking up, she quickly brought out her morpher and whispered, "Oh please let me have a zord." Sadly when she placed it into her summoning dagger, it didn't work. Shaking her head as she morphed, she said, "Of course, why not."
Nonaka watched Grand Ruler from afar, Chirin by her side,"We should help." Chirin said.
Nonaka shook her head,"We must wait, for them."
The cave stood before the group, silent and hallow. The group quickly got off the truck and began to walk into the large cavern. Sunset began to look around, muttering “This isn’t going to be easy.”
Pinkie stepped up behind Sunset and put her elbows onto her shoulders, "But it should be super easy! We've got each other, and we got superpowers and super friendship!"
Applejack shook her head, "Yeah, but we don't know where we're going or what we are looking for."
"Well, it should be easy," Dash snarked, "Where the heck can you hide a mecha anyway?"
Slowly the group began to walk through the long cave. Twilight in the middle of the group, keeping up a flashlight around them to light the way as Rainbow and Sunset walked ahead of the group. Pinkie and Fluttershy were at the back, joining Rarity and looking around. The cavern was dark and silent, slow dripping of water was the only thing that could be heard. That and the sound of rumbling earth above that told of the Grand Ruler's destruction.
After a few miles down, Applejack began to look around the cave, "So, why were a bunch of gems down here anyway?"
"Well, you know how gems are formed, darling?" Rarity began, "They were formed because-"
"Not that," Applejack said, shaking her head, "I mean, doesn't it seem weird to anyone else? Five gems are attached to us, matching our virtues. One belongs to Sunset and gives her something different from us. How does that even work? Where did they even come from."
Rarity shook her head, "That, I have no idea." she said looking down and kicking her foot, making a tree root began to glow, "Wha-
Sunset yelped,"The trees are attacking!"
This gave the group pause and Rainbow Dash to ask, "They have treants on your world?"
Sunset gave a slow nod.
"Well, even barring that, this isn't a treant root," Applejack said, touching the root that Rarity had touched, seeing no glow. Then she looked at another root, "This is a root and," she touched it, making it glow a bright orange.
"Woah," Dash said, watching as the tree root leaving from Applejack's hand and down the cave. As she walked and looked around, her foot touched a root and it began to glow red like her gem, "This is so aweome."
Pinkie looked around and found her own root to touch. Fluttersh followed soon after.
(Look at that Twilight, all are touching their own roots and finding their colors. This is your moment to see if you belong...)
Twilight touched a root with her foot...
At the excat same time, Sunset touched a root with her foot and in a flash of light, the cave began to change, with the roots vanishing and leaving a clear cave.
(See...you are not one of them. It glowed for her and not for you.)
"OOoooooh," Pinkie said, looking at her hand, noting the faint glow and the see through of her hand, "We're ghosts now! So cool! Quick, someone start singing Unchained Melody!"
This made Applejack glare a little, but then let out a chuckle as she smiled and looked around, "What, where are-"
"Come along, bring it!" shouted Celesto, walking into a cave while a few others followed him, carrying a large Crystal Tree. "I want to get this thing planted as soon as possible."
"Celesto?" asked Fluttershy.
"It must have been a few years ago, I don't see a wedding ring on his finger," Rarity said.
"But what's he doing and what's up witht that tree," asked Applejack.
Sunset looked closer at it,"Princess Celestia told me of something like this...
"What did she say," asked Pinkie.
"She found the Elements of Harmony in a crystaline tree known as the Tree of Harmony." Sunset said,"She said it was in a cave."
"So then, does that mean our gems came from there?" Applejack whipsered as she watched the girls walk in.
"Just a few more times and my student loans can be paid off," one girl, an indian girl with green hair grumbled, "Just a few more."
"Did you say something, Shaina?" asked Celesto.
Shaina rolled her eyes, "Nothing boss, just helping you to get your tree in."
"Good, now place it here," he said leading the way deeper and deeper into the cave. The images before the girls sped up, to the end of the cave in a large chamber. Within this chamber, the room encircled the tree like a shrine. Behind the tree were three massive suits of armor. One was red, blazing like fire with a pink gem in it's center. To its left was a suit with a blue color resembling water with lon wings. The third was green with long bird-like wings.
"The mecha," whispered Fluttershy.
"Ok boss," Shaina said, panting as she walked back to Celesto. "Why?" she asked plainly while the rest of the workers began to walk away.
"MY soldiers need a symbol," Celesto said, "a sign that they are chosen to be my champions and to prove my ways. When they are ready, then we can pluck these gems from the branches like fruit from the Tree of Eden."
"You do remember that the fruit was a bad thing right?" asked Shaina with a roll of her eyes.
Celesto twitched, "Moving beond that! This will be a chance to claim our-" he paused when he saw the tree dimmed and lose it's twinkle, "What on earth?"
"It seems to be losing it's luster," Shaina said, "Maybe moving an ancient tree from it's location in California was a bad idea?"
"NO! NO!" Celesto said, "THIS IS WRONG! Shaina, smash the tree and seal this chamber up! I've got a school to run."
"Yes sir," droned Shaina, and once it was out of ear shot, she said, "Well, maybe I can just pluck the gems first..."
Soon the images faded and the six were returned to the physical world.
"California, why does everything happen there!?" Sunset asked.
Applejack shook her head, "No idea."
(You know you didn't see it Twilight, you didn't see what they saw because you don't belong with them.)
As the images began to fade away from them, they could hear the echoes of Celesto say to himself, "No I have my champions, all that remains is to find my chosen soul, isolate her, and then bring them into my hands. Then he will be pleased."
"Chosen soul?" asked Dash, "What the heck does that mean?"
"No idea, but considering the source, it aint good," Applejack said, leading the group deeper into the caves.
Soon the group came to a fork in the road. At the end of three paths was an open hole and above the caves, the six roots wrote out "one is two and two is one, six must become three before the armors lay before thee."
"Six become three?" Dash growled, "Oh come on! Do we have time for riddles?"
Sunset moaned,"Why?
Dash rolled her eyes, "I guess two of us pick a door?" she said stepping ahead, "Not like we got a choice."
"We'll see you on the other side, hopefully?" asked Fluttershy.
"You know we will, sugarcube," Applejack said winking at her and taking Rarity's hand.
As Pinkie ran ahead, Sunset followed behind, leaving behind Twilight, and a fourth door that appeared before her while the other three caverns closed off to her.
Twilight blinked,"A fourth door? Hey, Faust, any ideas what's behind this one?"
(I don't know, my imager is fuzzy beyond this. What makes you think I can even see beyond what you see?)
“I thought you were some sort of multiversal entity that can see beyond the veil or something." Twilight frowned,"But then again, I'm not even sure what this door is. It probably messes with you as well."
(All I can tell you, is that there is no magic there. Nothing that makes it dangerous or scary. You can walk through it and you'll be fine. Perhaps it is a path that can lead you to the tree.)
Twilight nodded and opened the door.
For Twilight, the path was quiet and silent. Nothing was there but the cave walls and a long howling wind. It was not long until she began to reach the end
Twilight frowned,"Well that was uneventful!"
As Rainbow and Fluttershy followed through the cave's path, they soon encountered a large chamber with howling winds. In the center was a small column with a dais and two hand indentation. Rainbow Dash watched as the wind blew and threw her hair back, "Heh, easy," she said, taking a step but the winds blew her back, "WHOA!"
"The winds are really tough here," Fluttershy said, looking around, "How are we-" she stopped her questioning when she looked at a tree root that read "Two is one, one is two. Allow your thoughts two guide you through the wind."
"GAH! and us without Twilight or Sunset to solve a stupid riddle," Dash groaned.
"Why did they misspell it," whispered Fluttershy. Then she gasped, "Two! Um, Rainbow," she said timidly, looking to Rainbow Dash. "Um, careto dance?"
"How can you be thinking of dancing at a time like this?" Rainbow Dash growled.
"Just trust me, please?" Fluttershy asked, looking at Rainbow with comforting eyes.
Rainbow let out a sigh and took her hand. Fluttershy then smiled and guided Rainbow Dash into where the wind was weakest and began to lead her through. Soflty, each of her footsteps began to follow through the wind, whenever the wind seemed to pick up, then she led her to the soft part. Rainbow watched and smiled a little, enjoying the touch of Fluttershy's hands in hers. Looking back, she said, "Hey, you know, we never had a chance to talk about this whole 'relationship' thing. I mean, I mean, we're a couple now right?"
Fluttershy nodded, "Yes, of course silly."
"Good, because I didn't want to jump to conculsions or worry about-"
"I'm not really worried, for once," Fluttershy said. "You've always been there. That one friend I felt like I could count on. Even when we were fighting, I felt... like you were watching me. I, never was really md at you."
"Hey, you can always depend on me," Dash said, smiling as she continued to dance with her, "Ol’ Loyal, that's me." she said with a chuckle, "I'm just worried that if-"
"No, don't worry about that," Fluttershy said. "Even if we aren't dating. You are someone I care a lot about. A close girl I can't be without. Even if we leave... I won't forget what is important. Our friendship," she said and put her finger on Dash's chest, "And where I belong."
"Yeah, you're right," Rainbow said, finding herself at the end of the path. Looking down she said, "Man, you dragon lords are really big on your themes."
"Well, I don't mind," Fluttershy said, "It was a wonderful first dance."
"We've been at this for too long!" Applejack said, frowning.
"Darling, you are over exaggerating. It's only been five minutes," Rarity said, looking from the cups of water that waited under the stalactites and then to the ground before her. It was rough, with rocks and dirt all in their way. At the end, was a small dais with two cup holders for the drinks. Then she looked back up, "Two is one, one is two. Rough is gentle like water is to ice. What a queer riddle."
Applejack sighed and looked back to the cups, "And what is the water here for. I know we can't cross the road because we don't know what is waiting for us."
"Hmmm, cups and a road," Rarity looked down and picked up the cups. Then she looked back at Applejack, "Applejack, mind walking a few feet ahead of me?"
Applejack arched an eyebrow and then nodded. Getting up to her feet, she walked onto the road, only to back up when a large stone appeared. Using all of the strength she had, she pushed it out of the way. Rarity followed soon after, letting Applejack push and kick the blocks out of the way, "Just as I thought, we need to stand together in order to cross."
"I get it, I'm rough, and you're gentle," Applejack as, moving and pushing rocks out of the way. As she worked, she looked over her shoulder, "You know, this shows why you shouldn't be too worried about becoming another Luthor. You're too nice."
Rarity looked curious, "Oh?"
"Yeah, most of those jerks, they usually are already assholes before they came into money. You...you have a lot of heart, way too much to let it get corrupted by greed and cruelty," Applejack remarked, smiling at her friend.
"Oh, well thank you, dear," Rarity said. Then she sighed, "You never had to."
"Had to what?" Applejack asked, pushing the last of the stones away.
"Put so much on yourself. Your family wouldn't mind if you said you never wanted to be a farmer," Rarity said, reaching dais, "And we wouldn't blame you if you just took a day off once in a while."
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Applejack said, taking one of the cups and putting onto the dais, "It's still hard to think about. Kind of wish...it was easy to just ignore it."
"It is is easier than you think, my dear," Rarity said, holding her friend's hand and looking at her warmly as the cave door began to open and letting the light in.
"Hmmmmm, one is two, two is one. Faith and fate will allow you through the fire that is not hot." Pinkie read, and then looked at the roaring flames, the heat blazing through.
Sunset looked at the flames,"Fate and..." She shrugged,"Whatever," she grabbed Pinkie,"I guess we have to go at the same time!" she bridled carried Pinkie through the flames.
Pinkie let out a squeal as Sunset pulled her through the fire and the flames. When they emerged on the other side, Pinkie let out a happy cheer and said, "That was fun! And we didn’t even die! That was the best part!" she said as the door before them opened.
Once they stepped through the threshold, the other four emerged at the same time. Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash and said, "Well, that was easy. How about you?"
"Easy and a blast!" Rainbow Dash said with a smirk.
"What did you see Twilight?" Pinkie asked
Twilight appeared and silently walked in front of them.
"That boring huh?" asked Dash with a smirk.
(She is right you know. IT was kind of boring compared to the others. Perhaps this just showed how much you didn't belong.
"You got that right," Twilight said.

The tree stood in the center of the room. Behind the massive tree, three suits of armor stood, waiting. Each couple began to walk closer towards the tree suits of armor. Rainbow Dash was the first to ask, "Ok, so we got some cool suits, anyone got an idea how to get into them?"
Fluttershy looked at the suits, and then to her gem. Then she looked at the legs, "Maybe..."
(In her mind, she saw an echo of a Golden Dragon laying down before a team f six warriors gared in purple, yellow, blue, orange, white, and pink armor. "USe my body, destory the dragon...)
"If we put the-" as she placed a gem onto the dragon, she let out a squeak as she teleported in.
Dash gasped and then put her gem in, also getting teleported in. In front fo the tree, magical images and glowing keyboad appeared. Magical energy hummed as an image of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, in the same cockpit, appeared, "Girls! You got to try this! This is so AWESOME!!!!"
"My suit's name is Windam," Flutterhy said, looking at the console.
Sunset went to the red armor,"Red's our color, Pinks."
"YEP!" Pinkie said, putting her gme on and beaming into the suit.
Applejack and Rarity nodded following suit.
(DARN! I got nothing for this. You are misson control, what am I supposed to say about this? What, you are now watching over them and that's a bad thing? Help me out here!)
"What? I've got nothing either, what do you expect me to do!?" Twilight said.
(Well, be a little mopey fover the fact that you are mission contorl... but that is insulting to Nasa and all of the mission control everywheree. OH, be mopey about not having a cool mecha! "Yeah, at first I was into it, but after actually reading the book, I kinda want to back to 3.5. I heard that Paizo is making some sort of RPG of their own based off of that."

"Ok, Twilight, could you keep an eye on us while we be awesome?" Rainbow asked as they took off.
Dick panted as he swung into the burning building, his rebreather long since worn out as he helped some more people out. He looked around, trying to look for any other people in trouble. For a moment, he paused, coughing as the smoke began to invade his lungs and taking away his oxygen. Looking up, he saw Starla standing over some kids, "G-get out of here!"
"Can't" Starla whispered, "The fire and flames. The kids, they might,"
Nightwing looked at one of the burning walls and the window. Nodding, he threw one of his wingdings to break open a window. Then he brought out his grapple line and extend it. Groaning, he said, "Slide them down the rope. You can get out that way."
"Thank you, Nightwing," Starla said, helping the kids out of the building. Looking back, she screamed, "Nightwing, look out!"
Nightwing looked up and watched as a weakened support beam fell and hit him square in the back, knocking him down a few floors below. Feeling the heat going through his suit, he let out a groan, "Damn, a rookie move. Should've kept an eye on the building better." He tried to move, but he could feel his muscles weaken from the monoxide filling his lungs and the weight of the rafter, his eyes fluttering and slowly lowering. "Wish...I had a chance to find...Beast...Bo-"
As his eyes slowly close and his world black, he saw a red boot pass by his vision, and hear the crackle of lighting.
(Dick tied up the last of the goons on the boat. He looked to Beast Boy, "So, we got the last of them, and the Doom Patrol should be done on the island. Nice way to end it, huh Gar?"
"Yep, I think everything is going to be o-" he stopped when he heard an explosion on the island. Behind him, Doom Patrol's villain, Zarl, began to laugh as he held a detonator in hand. Turning around, Beast Boy let out a roar as he jumped at him clawing at him, "GIVE THEM BACK! GIVE THEM BACK! GIVE MY FRIENDS-" he only stopped when he felt a hand on his should.
"Gar, enough, you can't bring them back to life, no matter who you kill," Dick said. "You can't save everyone")
"Dickie? You awake?" a voice said, as Dick's vision slowly returned to him.
Slowly, his eyes began to open wide, seeing a white circle with a yellow lighting bold flying through the center. When he looked up, he saw the smiling face of a man in a red cowl, "W-Wally? Tell me you didn't kiss me."
"Now, Dick, what kind of loyal boyfriend would I be if I kissed another man instead of my gal?" Wally asked, crossing his arms over his chest. "I just pulled you out and quickly helped with your ribs and leg before saving at least twenty people."
Dick smiled as he looked at the Flash and tried to get up, only to wince, "We got to help the others."
"No, Boy Wonder. You’ve got to rest and stay here. I'll help the city," The Flash said.
"No, me, it's my-"
Wally rolled his eyes, "Geeze, between you and Batman. How did your butler survive not having three heart attacks by now."
"Former spy," Dick said, smirking.
"Well, that explains it. Look, I'll get the rest of the people out of harm's way. You rest, or else."
"Or else what?" Dick asked.
Wally smiled, "I'll have J'onn teleport you to the Watchtower so fast that I'll seem slow in comparison."
"You wouldn't dare," Dick growled.
"I have a communicator, the fastest hands on the planet, and the time. Don't test me Birdy," Wally said, "And besides, there isn't that much left anyway. I got most of them out while we were talking."
"Good," Dick said, looking at the giant tricorn, "Still got him to deal with. Can you get some of the JLA on the line or the other titans?"
Wally nodded and reached for his comm, then paused, "Actually...I think they got it." he said, watching as three mechs flew out from the ocean towards the tricorn
Sunset let out a squee as she rode the mech, “Yahoo!"
"I think you are having way too much un in this thing," Applejack said.
Sunset grinned,"What can I say, I dig giant robots."
Rarity looked at her mecha and then back up to Grand Ruler, "I just hope we can master this."
"We got this," Rainbow Dash said, looking down at the console, "It's like this mecha is telling us how to pilot."
"Wow!" Pinkie giggled, "How convenient!"
With loud crashes of metal on concrete, the three mechas landed in front of the monster tri-corn. Grand Ruler chuckled as he looked at the three mecha, "The Water Dragon, Selece." he smiled at the blue dragon. His eyes looked at the green bird, "The green guardian of wind, Windam. And the lord of fire, Rayearth." he said, glaring at the wolf, "The three armors have appeared."
"Stand down, Celesto. It's over," Applejack said, "We don't want to wreck the city more than you have already."
"You six already have. I had it all! Students to my name, a perfect wife, and the island at my fingers. And you took it from me!"
"You didn't earn all that!" Sunset shouted.
"You're right, I was given the power. And thus, I was granted the right to bend the world to my whim." Grand Ruler said, his voice booking, "Am I not given the right to change things to how I want it. To fix the errors of this world."
"Uh, no. As a matter of fact, I rather like this world, warts and all!" Sunset said,"If I can live with that, then so can you! All you have to do is try!" She frowned,"And I'm giving you one last chance, Celesto... Apologize."
"You expect me to cooperate?!" He said, throwing alighting bolt at the three
Windham jumped to the front, using its giant green wings to block the bolts of lighting. This allowed Selece to step out from behind, bringing out a trident from its back to stab three times into his sides. Letting out a howl, he bucked into Selene and sent it sliding to the side.
Rayearth charged forth, its hand turning into a fireball as it b=punched Grand Ruler in the muzzle, cracking it with a loud snap. Grand Ruler snarled and began to push back, storming his hooves to create tremors to try and trip him up. Seeing this, Windham flew up into the air and began to launch three arrows into his backside, slamming him into the ground.
Looking up, he charged his three horns to create a tornado. The giant gust of wind blew upwards into the air, sending Windham flying into the sky. This left him open for Rayearth to grab his jaw and drive a flame charged knee into his chin.
Letting out a groan, he was unable to stop Rayearth's forearm from striking into his throat. Gagging, he felt some phlegm coming to his throat, just as Rayearth grabbed his ears and pulled him down into Rayearth's knee, again and again Spitting some of his blood into Rayearth’s eyes, he used this to fly into the sky.
In the air, he saw Windham flying down with a bow drawn. Before he could strike, Selece jumped into the air with its strong legs and then did a double knee into his back. Spinning its trident in one hand, it began to rapidly slash and cut into Grand Ruler's spin and wings.
With a loud crash, Grand Ruler hit the ground and left a crater. The three mecha stood together, looking down and waited. After a few minutes, Grand Ruler let out a roar of rage as he took to the sky. Looking down at the three mecha, he shouted, "You think you won? You think you have bested me? "
"Considering you look like you are bleeding to death and our mecha are still ok? Yea," Dash said with confidence.
Grand Ruler shook his head, "Your little display of confidence shall be your demise!" he then charged the power of his magic into his three horns.
Sensors began to blare in the mecha. Rainbow Dash growled while Fluttershy looked to her. Applejack narrowed her eyes, feeling Rarity's hand on hers. Pinkie could only smile at Sunset as she said, "Just remember, that magic... it's nothing-"
"UNIFORCE!!!!!" Shouted Grand Ruler as he fired his giant blast of magic at the three mecha. The magic consumed the three mecha, covering it in light magic. The power of the blast lit up the night and left all who watched gasping in shock.
For a moment, there was nothing but silence, broken by the Grand Ruler's faint laughter. His laughter then turned into a gasp of fear, "NO!"
"Compared to us," Sunset said, now in a single cockpit with the five other girls. In front of them, the orbs that once sat on the side of their consoles were now int the front, one for each and how had their gems sticking out as a control stick for their mecha.
Grand Ruler could only look on in terror at the new combined mecha. While Rayearth made up the main body, Selece was now the legs. At its back was Windham, now a pair of giant wings, "Rune God."
There was a flash of light in its eyes as it crouched down and spread its wings. Then it flew off at subsonic speeds, leaving behind a boom of power in its wake. Before Grand Ruler could react, it reached his level and delivered a firey uppercut. Then it spun in a circle, unleashing a whirlpool of a spinning kick into his chest. Grand Ruler raised his hoof to block, only to scream when it was cut off with one of the kicks.
Rune God then grabbed his ears, pulling him into a head but and shattering two of his horns. Then Rayearth slammed an elbow into his skull, knocking him back into the crater and shattering the last horn. It then held out its right hand, "HARMONY SWORD!" and with that, a rainbow blade began to shimmer forth from its hand.
Grand Ruler struggled, and shouted "U-UNIFORCE!" and fired a large beam at him. He smirked at the power as it flowed out, ready to strike at Rune God, only to watch as the blade cut through the beam and slicing the power in half.
Grand Ruler, exhausted and in utter fear, tried to walk away but found himself unable to. Then his eyes looked back up at the mecha as it flew down, with rainbow energy flowing through it. With a lout shout the rangers and rider yelled out, "Harmonic SLASH!!!!!!!"
"No-" Grand Ruler whispered as the blade cut through his throat and created a massive explosion. As the Explosion erupted behind them, the mecha landed in a crouch, his blade held at a horizontal level.
"Ok...T HAT KICKED ASS!!!!" Rainbow Said high fiving the girls.
Applejack chuckled, "Well, suppose that's one way to take care of our student body."
"Indeed." Rarity laughed.
Sunset sat down on the ground,"Glad that's over."
A low groan emitted from the crater, followed by a whimper, "I had it all... he promised."
Pinkie looked down and saw the naked, weakened, and broken form of Celesto. Now no longer at the peak of the human physique, but now a scrawny little man who trembled from the cold.
"Cold?" Rainbow Dash asked, stepping out of the mecha, "But wasn't it just-"
At that moment, it seemed that time had stared in the island, as the fall leaves began to fall and the cold began to settle in. Fluttershy looked around, "What?"
"Time...restarts. How...he...promised me," moaned Celesto
"So... you are responsible for this neverending summer?" Sunset asked. She smirked, adjusting her jacket,"Good thing I always wear this, even when it's hot!"
"Heh, why did you think it seemed like time slowed down. That months seemed to take years to pass? I wan...wanted to enjoy the years," he said, coughing and shivering. Fluttershy went down to cover him. "I didn't want my eternal happiness to end. I wanted to keep it this way. I didn't want to change."
"But it has to change, that's the way the world works," Applejack said.
"Even if the life your given, the ending you are granted is unfair," whispered Grand Ruler, "No, I could never accept that. That's why I needed the power. It was so simple...so simple. All I needed was to find the one, the chosen soul/
"Chosen soul?" Sunset asked.d
Grand Ruler chuckled, "That's right. You don't know. Well, allow me to give you a little clue. A little hint at the true mystery of this island and adventure. The chosen soul, one who can link between dimensions, the soul of magic."
"Why?" Applejack asked.
"He plans to rewrite all of reality, to warp the many multiverses into his image of perfection. To do that, he granted those of us who desire it a boon. The ability to change the world around us and make it the way we want. To make the world into what we desire. All we needed to get, are chosen, souls. Beings who represent universal laws of the omniverse: Death, Evil, Dreams, Time, and Imagination. Those who crossed the multiversal planes or were touched are the likely candidates."
"Who are your buddies?" asked Applejack.
Grand Ruler chuckled, "If you wish to know that...Find the school that does not teach history, math, or science. The man there has been at this for a long time, he will have more knowledge than me. Oh, and one more thing...In my office, there is a blue gem containing a soul for your friend Madylin." and with that, he closed his eyes and passed out.
"He's not dead. It just took it out of him," Fluttershy said, before picking up a syringe, "...G1 cells?"
Sunset frowned,"What was he doing with one of Madlyn's friends?"
Dash smirked, "Want me to kick him awake to ask?
"You can try," Sunset said.
Fluttershy frowned, "Rainbow, no. Sit, stay!"
"Ugh! Fine!" Rainbow Dash groaned, sitting down and crossing her arms over her chest.
Applejack chuckled as she whispered to Rarity, "And Fluttershy has proven herself to be a tamer of animals and sports gals." she then ended it off with a whipping motion of her hand and a wiser.
Madylin made her way to the crater, overhearing the discussion, "Wait, you found one of my friends."
"According to the dork, there is a gem in the high-" before Applejack could finish, Madylin took off in a blur of pink.
Pinkie cheerfully smiled as she waved, "I'll follow her!"
"Celesto?" Celestia said, walking to the barren battlefield as the sirens faintly began to get closer.
Luna stood next to her sister, and then looked down at the passed out Celesto, "Sunset, I think you have a choice at the moment, stay and try to explain this to the police or run home. I should warn you, a public identity will be hard.”
Sunset sighed as she leaned down,"I rather keep this on the down-low." She walked away.
Dash groaned, "AW come on! You mean we can't brag about us being the rangers of this place, of how awesome we are?!"
Sunset shook her head,"No, we need to protect the people of this school."
"And besides, Ah wouldn't want the fame anyway, it's way too much of a hassle," Applejack said.
Rarity smiled as she walked with them, getting away from the reporters and police, "What an interesting few months."
"Yeah!" Dash cheered, "We got bitchin new powers! Took care of Grand Jackanape, freed the school, and saved the day."
"Yeah, but it ain’t over yet," Applejack said, "We still need to help Madylin find her friends, find out who is Grand Chucklehead's boss, and who this special soul s."
"I call Sunset!" Dash said.
"Wha- why me?" Sunset asked
Dash began to run a little further ahead, "Because, you are the leader and have the best chance at it. Second, it annoys ya!"
Sunset rolled her eyes,"Yeah, it could also be you you know!"
"Me? HA! As if, bet it would be more like Trixie or Raindrops," Dash joked as they walked away from the gathering crowd.
Luna looked around at the crowd, "The events that lead to this disaster..."
Madylin looked at the fake wall that stood before her. Shaking her head she said, "Really? Come on, how cliche," and then began to look a the large gem begore her. She smiled widely as she shouted, "Layla!" and immediately touched it.
There was a loud burst of light and the sound of a leviathan crying out. In a flash, a young woman stood before her. Looking up from her brown hair, she looked back at her sister, "M-Madylin? What on-"
Tearfully, the pink ranger hugged her little sister tightly, afraid of letting go, "Long story, but magic, world in danger, we need friends."
A short balding man ran through the long carpeted hallways of the tall building, running towards the main office. Stopping in front of the door, he panted and tried to catch his breath. Standing back up, he tried to open the door, "Keycode, Otis."
"Yes, Mercy!" the plump man said, pressing the buttons and letting himself in, fumbling with the papers that were in his hands and the DVDs that began to slip out. Looking up at the back of the seat that faced him, a large screen playing back the last message of Grand Ruler. "Here are the files you requested Mr. Lewther...I mean, Mr. Jr. Uh, I mean Mr. Clone of Luthor, I mean not Clone-"
Luthor paused the video, and then held his hand out,"Silence, Otis!" He turned his seat around and clasped his hands together while putting his elbows on the desk,"I saw everything." He reached his hand out to take the papers. He frowned at them,"Otis, you forgot one."
What!" Otis said, begging to stammer and shake as he looked through his pockets, "Oh, I-i-i-i am so sorry Mr. Lewther, I was just so busy looking for the information on the island and Celesto, and all of that and I-i-i-i just got confused and oh please don't kill me, sir, I-"
"Otis! Otis!" a high pitched voiced cried as she ran int the office, her rather large endowments bouncing as she ran. Panting, she gave him the last disk, "You forgot one."
Mercy sighed and rolled her eyes as she leaned back, "And this is why you need me, sir."
"Here is the rest of the information. The times when the island popped up, when the temp... thing appeared, when reality been uh-"
"Distorted?" asked Tessmacher, smiling at her husband.
"Yeah, that. And the magical, temporal readings of the island," Otis said, thumbing his finger trying to account the info.
Tessmacher looked confused, "Um, I know I might get rapped for this, but why the interest in this little island."
Lex smirked as he leaned back in his chair, fingers intertwined,"Mercy, pull up the map of the United States."
Mercy silently nodded and pressed a button showing the map of the united states. Almost without another word, she pressed a button to show California with the cities of Angel Grove, Silver Hills, and Reefside highlighted and nearby Mystic Island.
"Now, show the maps from 20, 30, and 40 years ago. Notice something different?" Lex asked.
"Ummm, oh geeze, um..." Otis stood there for a few moments before saying, "OH! I know, One of those pictures misspelled California
Luthor let out a heavy sigh,"Otis, look at the island next to California."
For a few minutes, he looked and stared, and looked some more. For the longest time, he glared at the map until his nose bled, “the island mysteriously appeared!"Then he gasped, "The island mysteriously appeared!"
Luthor smiled,"There's hope for you yet, Otis." He got up and walked to the map,"This island appeared mysteriously. Add on to that, it caused a severe energy spike the likes of which no one has ever seen." He turned to them,"I'm interested in what caused this spike, and what I can do with it." He put his hands behind his back,"And I just found a way to do it quite easily now that the owner of the island has fallen. I think it's time for a little visit, wouldn't you say?"
"Your plane is all fueled up sir," Mercy said.
"Thank you, Mercy." Luthor said. Then he noticed a figure in the doorway,"Go on ahead, you three, I have an appointment."
"Yes, Mr. Luthor!" Miss Tessmacher said, her bubbly attitude following as she skipped out the door.
Mercy bowed and walked out silently. Otis nodded, "Yes. Mr. Lewther." he said, running into the table, the aquarium, and the door, before walking out. His cat-like reflexes on full display.
The figure walked in,"Let me guess, you just want him to have a job, don't you, Mr. Luthor." He held a question mark cane in his hand. He tipped his green hat with an amused smile.
"In a way. I also like being reminded of my own intelligence." Luthor sat down at his desk, to pull out a list.
"Tell me, Mr. Luthor, if we're heading to Mystic Island, What are you going to do about our... bird problem?"
"Well, Mr. Nygma," Luthor brought out a list of names,"I'm not too worried about him." He handed them to Nygma,"I have ways of distracting him."
Nygma took the list and read it over,"You're expecting me to head all over the world, aren't you? Pretty sure Captain Boomerang still has a grudge against me..."
"The Bird is experienced. He knows how to handle the Bat's Rogues. I figured this will give him a challenge." He leaned forward, tangling his hands together,"I only grabbed you for your intelligence, and Dent, to give him closure."
"I see. I will do what I can, Mr. Luthor." Nygma bowed, before getting up,"Mind if I give you a riddle?"
Luthor let himself give a smirk,"That's what you do."
"If you are the smartest man in the world, why haven't you figured who the big blue boy scout is?"
Luthor chuckled,"Years ago, I'd have yelled at you for that. But I'd be lying if I didn't ask that question myself. I have had time to give some thought to this." He got up and turned to the window,"Let me ask you this. Make a hypothetical guess: Who is Batman?"
"You." Nygma said leaning on his cane,"You have the money, resources, and motive to become Batman."
"And what would you think if you were correct?"
"..." Nygma thought for a moment,"Honestly, I'm not sure, this wouldn't shock me, but any rich idiot could be Batman if he had the time and energy!"
"... at that point, Nygma, Batman would stop becoming Batman, and be just a man." Luthor turned to him,"Superman, Batman, Nightwing, they are all symbols. Things that people look up to and idolize. They are treated like gods." He narrowed his eyes,"But finding their identities would prove they are human. A man can be defeated. A symbol... a symbol is nearly invincible. Taking down a man wouldn't give me closure, but taking down a symbol would prove that I'm superior."
Nygma took a step back, and began to laugh, and then wiped his eyes,"I never thought of that! I like the way you think, Mr. Luthor." He bowed,"I will take my leave."
Luthor sat down,"Take care, Nygma."
Unos sighed ass he watched the police take Celesto away, the screen turning off and his spell fading. Shaking his head, he said, "Is this it then? The end of our little alliance?"
"The end? why would it end?" asked Gallant.
"You hired me to use my memories of the past monsters and big bads so you could hunt through the multiverse to find monsters and kill the rangers. They are now together, have their powers, and are on the move. I fail to see my point here any longer," Unos said with a frown.
The made Gallant chuckle and then laugh, "You think that was all I needed your memories for? That was all this was? Oh no, this was just to set up the opening stage."
"The opening?"Unos asked.
Gallant nodded, "Yes, for now, the players have been chosen, the warriors are awoken, and now the path is set. It's time for our players to set forth on their story, to find themselves, and to help the chosen soul find us. It's time for her to see how alone and isolated she really is. And when she finally breaks...Then she will finally open the portal. Our master will-"
"Your master. I am only helping you to bring honor to my family and to create a new word for my father to rule. I swear no alliance to a master I have never seen and I only fight for my family," Unos said.
"My mistake," Gallant said, holding up his hand in defense, "Still, our master will give us a chance to rewrite the worlds around us, to make all of the omniverse ours and to bend the realms to our will. Death, Time, Magic, Dreams, and Hell? All will bow down to us, and she will be our prophet.
(Twilight? You awake? I just want you to remember...this was their victory, never yours. You were born alone and will die alone.
"
"... Technically my mom birthed me, and the doctors helped bring me out. Also, I share my birthdate with Moondancer, so I wasn't born alone, Faust." Twilight said.
(If one could hear an eye-roll, Twilight would definitely hear it. Faust then grumbled, "Must you take it literally? Just remember, you aren't that important to them..." Faust said, falling asleep.)
Twilight got up from her bed," He sleeps!?"
(I'm a voice in your head, but I do need sleep once in a while!!!)
"I didn't think you'd need sleep! I thought you spent your days telling people bad things they need to hear!"
(I do, but I do need to sleep once in a while. I do have a bloody life you know. I wake up, talk to you for a bit, go home in your head, have lunch, come back, tell you more, go back into my house, Stream Netflix (I don't think it'll go anywhere) =, check up on your sleeping habits, go to bed, read Naruto until I sleep. I do have a thing to do hat don't include you, you know. )
