//------------------------------// // Chapter Seven: Trapped // Story: Radiant Hope and The Nightmare // by EmmyRosie5 //------------------------------// The Mane Six headed deep into the forest, and a few of them were nervous. After a few minutes of silence, Radiant Hope spoke up. “So, none of you have been here before?” She asked. “No way! Just look at this place! It’s so spooky!” Vinyl said, getting the shivers. “And it’s not natural. I heard ponies say that it doesn’t work the same as Equestria.” Limestone said. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Hope asked. Then, Raindrops went all spooky. “Nopony knows. You know why?” She asked. “No...why?” Coloratura asked in a scared tone. “'cause everypony who's ever come in has never come OUT!” Raindrops yelled. Coloratura and Derpy screamed in fear. Raindrops just bursted into laughter. “You guys are such scaredy-cats!” Raindrops said. Just then, they heard a rumble. “Did you guys hear that?” Hope said. “I wish I didn’t.” Derpy said. Suddenly, falling rocks started to fall. “Avalanche! Everypony run!” Raindrops screamed. And so, the Mane Six ran as fast as they could, hoping to find something that’ll give them shelter in this rockslide. Then, Hope found a cave. “Quick! Into the cave!” She told the five ponies. The ponies then ran into the cave. Once inside, they began to catch their breath. “Thank goodness we made it.” Limestone said. “But at least the entrance of the cave wasn’t blocked off!” Vinyl said. And as fate would have it, the rockslide blocked the entrance to the cave, trapping the six ponies inside. “Congrats, you jinxed it.” Hope told Vinyl sarcastically. “What are we gonna do now? We can’t be trapped in here forever!” Coloratura said in fear. “Don’t be scared, Rara. I know that there’s a way out of here.” Derpy said, trying to raise Coloratura’s spirits. Suddenly, the girls saw Raindrops go deeper into the cave. “Where the hay is Raindrops going?” Limestone said, confused. “I think there’s only one way to find out.” Coloratura said. “Come on, girls. Let’s follow Rainy!” Derpy said, eager to find out where Raindrops is headed. The five ponies ran to Raindrops, until they finally caught up to her. “Raindrops, where the hay are you going?” Hope asked. Raindrops soon became nervous. She wanted to tell them, but she’s afraid that they won’t trust her. Then, Raindrops knew something. She knew that it doesn’t matter if they would believe her or not. She knew that whatever it takes, she has to tell them the truth. The honest truth. Raindrops turned to the others. “You may not believe me, but I think I know the way out of here.” She told them. “Are you crazy?” Hope said, not knowing if Raindrops is honest. “I’m not! I’m telling you guys I know how we can get out of here!” Raindrops said. “That's not true!” Hope told Raindrops. “Hope’s right. How do we know you’re not lying?” Limestone asked. “Look guys, What I’m saying is the honest truth. I know the way out of this cave. And I’m sure you all don’t believe me, but I hope that one of you can know that I’m telling the truth.” Raindrops said. Limestone, Derpy, Coloratura, and Vinyl were all thinking the same thing. ‘Do we trust Raindrops?’ But Hope didn’t think that. She looked in Raindrops’ eyes and knew. She knew that Raindrops was telling the truth. Radiant Hope turned to the others. “Guys, I think we can trust Raindrops.” She told them. “What?! But why?” Limestone asked. “You guys don’t believe her, but I do. And I believe that she’s telling the truth.” Hope explained. Raindrops smiled. She was glad that Hope trusts her. “Well, if you believe that, then I trust Raindrops too!” Vinyl said. “So do I!” Limestone said. “Me too!” Coloratura said. “Me three!” Derpy said. Raindrops smiled. Her friends now trust her. “Thanks, guys. And thanks, Hope. I knew that somepony would trust me.” Raindrops said, smiling. “You’re welcome, Raindrops. Now lead the way.” Hope said. “Alright, girls. Follow me!” Raindrops instructed. And with that, The gang headed deep into the cave, with Raindrops leading them. They went through every tunnel, climbed every wall, jumped through every pitfall, until eventually,  they saw a light. “This must be it!” Hope said. “Come on girls, let’s go!” Raindrops said, happily. The gang then ran towards the light as it went brighter and brighter. Until they saw… ...the way out. The girls cheered! They made it out of the cave! “You did it, Rainy!” Derpy said, hugging her pegasus friend. “Way to go, Raindrops!” Limestone said happily. “I’m glad you were telling the truth, Raindrops.” Coloratura said happily. Radiant Hope walked up to Raindrops. “Thanks for getting us out of this cave, Raindrops.” She said gladly. “You’re welcome. And thanks for trusting me Hope.” Raindrops said smiling. “You’re very welcome.” Hope said with a smile. She then turned to her friends. “Alright, everypony. Let’s keep moving.” She told the group. The Mane Six then headed deeper into the forest, eagerly waiting for what will come next. Meanwhile, some dark smoke started to do something to a manticore before flying off. The manticore roared, knowing that something happened to him. It looks like this manticore will be the next obstacle.
