11. Pinkie's Wonderlanderful Friends

Rarity was taking a walk in the neighborhood with a sad look on her face when Pinkie Pie called her and motioned her to come over.
"Hello, Pinkie." Rarity greeted sadly.
"Hey, Rarity." Pinkie said. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. I just had a hard day at school yesterday. That's all."
"Somebody criticizing your fashion designs again?"
"That's putting it mildly, darling."
Pinkie felt Rarity's pain. Soon, she smiled again. "Not to worry. I know what will cheer you up." She pulled a tray with a teapot on it from her poofy hair. "A tea party!"
Rarity was shocked to hear that. "What do you know about tea parties? You are not the elegant type, you know."
"Tea parties don't always have to be fancy, Rarity. I asked a friend to help me set up something special. Follow me."
Rarity followed Pinkie Pie into the backyard. Rarity soon saw a lovely table and chairs. And, decorations in the forms of spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds. Plus banners in wild colors.
"Oh my." Rarity gasped. "This looks more like a bridge party rather than a tea party."
"These decorations are my friend's idea." Pinkie informed.
Soon, an energetic girl with blue hair in pigtails, and wearing a small top hat came out. She gave a cheerful greeting. "Hello there, Rarity. It's nice to meet you."
Rarity recognized the girl. "Oh my goodness! Madeline Hatter!"
Madeline approached Rarity and Pinkie as the elegant girl is very surprised. "Pinkie called you to help her?"
"She did." Madeline said. "Pinkie heard you were having a bit of trouble. I figured a day together would be lots of fun. This should cheer you up."
"Indeed. Tea parties are your specialty. After all, you are the daughter of the Mad Hatter."
Maddie smiled and pulled out some dishes and cups from her little hat as Pinkie places her tray and teapot on the table. Maddie checked the teapot. "Wow, Pinkie. The tea I prepared in this pot is still warm."
"You said it, Maddie." Pinkie cheered. "My poofy hair is like insulation."
"Good thought." Maddie added as she pulls out a plate of cookies, tarts and other pastries on the table. "Let's sit down and enjoy ourselves."
As Rarity and Pinkie sat in the chairs, they heard the sound of a cat purring. They saw what looks like a girl wearing cat ears sleeping in the tree.
"Kitty Cheshire?" Rarity yelped, recognizing her. "What brings her here?"
"No need to worry, Rarity. I asked her to come along." Maddie answered. "She and Pinkie get along well with each other."
"I was told about that by Bunny Blanc."
Kitty stretched as she woke up. "What's all of that racket? I'm trying to have a cat nap up here."
Openeing her eyes, she saw the girls gathered. And, calls out to one of them. "Hi, Pinkie Pie!"
Kitty vanished. Then, rematerialized in front of the party girl. Pinkie was happy. "Hi, Kitty!"
Kitty and Pinkie hugged each other as Rarity noticed something. "Of course, Kitty is the daughter of the Cheshire Cat. Thus, her teleportation abilities."
"Now, you're catching on." Maddie replied.
"I didn't expect you to show up." Pinkie Pie said.
"I am a citizen of Wonderland, Pinkie." Kitty replied. "We do stick together on occasions."
"Hey, Maddie Hatter!" Limestone called out from the backyard door.
Maddie noticed the eldest Pie Sister. "What is it, miss Limestone?"
"A friend of yours had arrived."
Soon, a elegant woman wearing royal garments, a crown, and has a heart on her eye comes into the backyard. She saw Rarity and is overjoyed. "Rarity. Good to see you, my friend."
Rarity was pleasantly surprised. "Lizzie. I'm am astounded to see you."
The royal girl went over to Rarity and embraced her in a gentle hug.
"Hey, Rarity." Pinkie said. "You know Lizzie Hearts?"
"Indeed, darling. Lizzie Hearts and I see each other once in a while. She surely wants to be a better queen of Wonderland than her mother, the Queen of Hearts."
"Wow. I can imagine Lizzie's mother in a straitjacket. That royal meanie is insane!"
"A straitjacket?!" Lizzie yelped. "I wouldn't go that far, Pinkie. But, you made a point. My mother is a bit crazy."
As the day goes on, the five girls enjoy each other's company. Drinking tea and enjoying the treats.
"This rosebud tea is divine, Maddie." Rarity praised.
"Thank you, Rarity." Maddie replied as she munches on a raspberry tart. "I'm glad my tea is appreciated."
"And, these treats are delicious." Pinkie said as she scarfed down some cookies. "Did Ginger Breadhouse make these?"
"Good guess, Pinkie. Yes!"
"I'm still shocked that Ginger Breadhouse is very misunderstood." Rarity said.
"Many make the mistake that she's a troublemaker. Just because she's the daughter of the Candy Witch."
Lizzie Hearts agreed. "Many of Ever After High's rebels are often misunderstood. All they want to do is follow their own path."
Soon, Pinkie's phone rang, and she excused herself. "Pardon me."
Pinkie answered her phone. A minute later, she whispered something to Kitty. Both girls then laughed which caught Rarity's attention. "Something amusing, darlings?"
"That was Sunset Shimmer on the phone." Pinkie explained. "I told Kitty that Hoops threw Sunset out of the movie theater, and decided to get a little payback for her."
"I replaced his usual pain relief roll-on," Kitty continued, "with a roll-on containing essence of a poison ivy plant. Something I whipped up during a magic potion class."
"Oh my!" Rarity yelped. "I hope that wasn't too terrible, even though he deserved it."
"Don't worry, Rarity. He'll be fine. That stuff will wear off in twenty minutes. But, it should be enough to teach him a lesson."
"If Hoops was a race horse," Maddie said, "he'd be SCRATCHED!"
Everybody enjoyed Maddie's joke as their good time continues. At another location, Hoops rubs some itch relief cream on his itchy spots once the itching died down. His two buddies, Dumbbell and Score, look on.
"Are you going to be okay?" Dumbbell asked.
"I'll be okay." Hoops replied. "Never underestimate those people from Bookend. Especially that school, Ever After High. They might surprise you."
