Chapter 19
Blaze and Rainbow ended their kissing after it got dark. "Oh my gosh! How long have we been here?" Rainbow exlaimed.
"Longer than what I would have liked. I enjoyed this, but I need to talk to Linus." He said and kissed her again. They got off of their cloud and started to fly back to the camp.
Rainbow caught a small glimpse of something out of the ordinary to her left. Curiously, she looked over and saw a hooded pegasus flying with an unconscious passenger. She didn't like the look of it. "Blaze, to our left. There's something suspicious." She said. He turned his head and saw the hooded pony.
"Want to check it out?" He asked. She nodded and they slowly banked in that ponies direction. They kept their distance so they wouldn't be noticed.
"Where is he going? He doesn't look like he's from the Aureolian Army." Rainbow said.
"I have no idea. I have some gas bombs with me if you want me to gas him. You could fly underneath him and grab the pony as he falls. Then, I can grab the other pony and figure out who and what he is doing." Blaze said as he reached for a bomb.
"What if it's one of ours?" Rainbow asked. She didn't want to be thought of as the mole, and if they were Aureolian, it would look very bad for both of them.
"It isn't. The Aureolian army has a sun on every uniform, to signify why we are fighting. He doesn't have one. So, it's not treason if he shows no connection to us." Blaze said. "And if he is a spy for us, why would he be heading in the wrong direction to our camp and heading towards the Leasath? Doesn't make sense to me." He flew towards the hooded pony while Rainbow flew underneath him. She hooted 3 times and Blaze lobbed the bomb. It exploded and sent a noxious gas out from its body. The hooded pony wheezed and staggered as the gas caught him by surprise. Another bomb exploded right next to his left ear. He lurched and pawed at his ear, dropping his hostage from his arms.
Rainbow caught her, and flew away. Now Blaze had to grab the hooded pony and figure out who he was and what he was doing. He tossed his last bomb at the pony. It exploded, sending bits of fragments into his right back leg. The pony wheezed as the gases started to enter his lungs. He started to fall, and Blaze grabbed him and zoomed off to meet with Rainbow.
They met at a giant oak tree that had a trunk 5 feet across. It had plenty of branches that could support the four of them, so it was a perfect place. Rainbow was looking the dark, unconscious pony over when she realized who it was they saved. "Blaze....it's Luna. He took Luna!" She said shocked.
Blaze put the hooded pony down. "So, who are you? Where were you taking Luna?" The hooded pony just looked at him.
"You think you can win. You think that Chrysalis can be defeated. Nothing can stop her. Her weapon will be ready. Her plan will be set. If you try to kill her, all will be lost." He said before a white foam leaked from his mouth. He fell out of the tree and hit the ground with a loud splat. Blaze looked over, and saw the pony's crumpled body sprawled out on the ground in a pool of blood as it changed into a changeling
He turned his head back to Rainbow. "I guess we know that the Leasath are getting desperate. But what did he mean by weapon? What weapon does she have?" He asked.
Rainbow only shook her head. "I don't know. But we need to get Luna back to camp. She needs to see a healer." She said as she examined Luna. "She has a fever. I don't know what he did to her, but it's making her sick."
"Well then let's get going." Blaze said. They took off with Luna and flew back to camp. I wish I could have one nice time without something like this happening He thought.
