Celestia and Luna were looking for Twilight Sparkle all over the castle. Until they saw a door leaning. The two went to see if Twilight Sparkle was there and saw the lavender alicorn sleeping.
Luna looked at Celestia and whispered. “Sister, I think we better get back to Canterlot.”
Celestia looked at Luna and whispered back. “Yes, I also think. But can I write a letter to let you know that we’re back?”
“Yes, sister,” whispered Luna.
Celestia brought out a scroll, ink and quill and began to write. Luna kept looking to see if Twilight Sparkle would wake up.
“I’m done, Luna,” whispered Celestia.
Luna looked at Celestia. “Can I read what you wrote?”
Celestia gave the letter to Luna. Luna started to read, but didn’t speak what was written. “Dear Twilight, Luna and I have already returned to Equestria. If you want to talk to me later about how you are feeling, I will be willing to listen to you. Signed Celestia.”
Luna looked at Celestia now. “Where are you going to leave that scroll?”
Celestia entered the room silently, went to the lamp, lifted it, placed the parchment on the side table and put the lamp back and returned to where Luna was. “Let’s get out of here before we wake up Twilight Sparkle and Spike.”
When morning came, Twilight Sparkle woke up willingly. She looked at her lamp and saw a paper under it. Twilight Sparkle was curious and raised the lamp and took the paper to read. As she read, she seemed happy that the princesses had returned. Twilight Sparkle would like Celestia to come here to tell her how it went. Twilight Sparkle got up from the bed and brought out a scroll, quill and ink and started writing. “Dear Princess Celestia, I am happy that the two of you have returned, if you could come when you aren’t busy, you could tell me how it went and I would also like to talk about mine. Signed Twilight Sparkle.”
As much as Twilight Sparkle wanted to call Spike to send the letter to the princess, she didn’t want to wake up him. So she decided to wait for Spike to wake up, but while he didn’t wake up, Twilight Sparkle decided to read on the couch in the meantime.
When Spike woke up, he intended to go to the kitchen. But Spike saw Twilight Sparkle run up to him with a scroll. “Spike, can you help me? I need you!”
Spike stopped walking. “Of course I can help you Twilight, but what do you need help from me for?”
Twilight Sparkle handed the scroll to Spike. “Send this letter to the Princess.”
“Now? But Celestia may be busy eating right now,” said Spike.
“Exactly, Spike. She will have time to read my letter before she goes about her royal duties. It is relevant for the princess to read while she still has time,” said Twilight Sparkle.
Spike was confused. Twilight Sparkle wasn’t happy. “Important!”
Spike was thrown back. “OK. Okay. I send now.”
The lavender alicorn handed Spike the letter. Spike went to a window, took a breath before releasing a fire and the letter was sent.
Celestia and Luna were in the dining room and were eating pancakes. Celestia’s pancake was a tower and had a face, while Luna’s wasn’t a tower and didn’t have a face. Celestia started to wonder if Twilight Sparkle has woken up and read the letter. Would Twilight Sparkle want to talk to her? Celestia hoped so, because then Twilight could say everything she felt.
Suddenly, a purple fire came to Celestia and a letter fell on the table. Celestia smiled. Maybe it’s a letter from Twilight Sparkle with the answer. Celestia opened the letter to read. As Celestia read, she smiled. She couldn’t wait to finish eating to tell Twilight Sparkle and to know what bothered her former student.
Twilight Sparkle had already finished eating, and was now waiting for Celestia to arrive. Twilight Sparkle started to wonder if Celestia would come or be busy, but if Celestia can’t come she would understand and wouldn’t be angry or sad about it.
Suddenly, she heard a knock in the door, Twilight Sparkle went to the front door, opened it with her magic and when she saw Celestia bowed. “Princess Celestia, I see that you received my letter, right?”
“Yes, Twilight, but you don’t have to bow, you’re a princess,” said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle realized her mistake and stopped bowing. “Sorry.”
“No need to apologize.”
“Sorry.” Twilight Sparkle smiled.
Celestia entered the castle and Twilight saw it, closed the door and went to Celestia. Twilight Sparkle looked at Celestia. “Princess, would you like something? A drink or a food?”
“No Twilight, thanks,” said Celestia. “I would just like to talk to you.”
Twilight Sparkle opened the door to her room. She and Celestia sat on the bed to talk better. “So princess, how was your adventure in that alternate timeline?”
“It was fun, Twilight. Luna had a lot of fun,” said Celestia.
“Really, princess? What did Princess Luna do for fun?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Luna and Sunset Shimmer became great friends. Luna loved the fact that Sunset Shimmer was loyal to her on that timeline.”
“Well princess, at least Princess Luna has found somepony who is loyal to her. Did anything else happen?”
Celestia was unsure. “Well Twilight, on that timeline Luna is Chrysalis’s aunt. I was surprised because if Chrysalis was good, it would mean that Cadence was the evil queen of the Changelings.”
Twilight Sparkle couldn’t help but agree. “I know princess, it shocked me too, but when I saw Chrysalis I wanted to think that Cadence ruled alongside Chrysalis. Did anything else happen?”
Celestia was worried. “Well, let’s say that Princess Luna became Nightmare Moon and that me from that timeline tried to stop her, but after failing, my self became Daybreaker in the hope of stopping her sister.”
Twilight Sparkle was confused. “But why did Luna from that timeline become Nightmare Moon? Wasn’t her Night appreciated?”
“It wasn’t that Twilight, the reason that Luna became Nightmare Moon was because she felt that Sunset Shimmer would prefer Luna from our timeline more than she did,” said Celestia.
“So she became Nightmare Moon because she was insecure that Sunset Shimmer was replacing her?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Yes Twilight, and that wouldn’t have happened if Luna and I hadn’t come for that timeline,” said Celestia.
“But I don’t understand princess, how did Luna know you two were there?”
“She saw Luna and I fall from the ceiling of the throne room,” replied Celestia. “I never imagined that Luna on that timeline had a evil side.”
Twilight Sparkle wanted to tell Celestia that she agreed with this, but she was still bothered by the fact that Celestia from the alternate timeline had an evil side, she was still scared that the princess had an evil side. Twilight Sparkle always thought that Celestia wouldn’t have an evil side. As much as Twilight didn’t want to tell Celestia that, she needed to say what she felt. “Princess.”
“Yes, Twilight?” asked Celestia.
“I need to say something that has been bothering me a lot,” began Twilight Sparkle.
“What bothers you, Twilight?” Celestia put a wing around Twilight Sparkle.
“Sunset Shimmer, Garble and I were having coffee in the evening until Sunset received a letter from Princess Luna saying to take her friends and the Elements of Harmony to the castle.”
“But why did Luna need Sunset Shimmer and her friends to take the Elements of Harmony, Twilight?”
Twilight Sparkle was very nervous and felt like she was going to cry. “Well princess, when Sunset Shimmer saw Luna, she went to Luna to hug her. After the hug, Luna said that the problem was with her sister.”
Celestia was curious. “What was the problem with me that alternative timeline?”
Twilight Sparkle could feel tears coming out of her eyes. “P-princess… Luna said that your self became Daybreaker!”
Celestia was speechless. Celestia watched Twilight Sparkle and saw that her former student was crying a lot. Twilight Sparkle’s cheeks were very wet. Twilight Sparkle looked at Celestia. Their hooves were up. “Princess, when I found out that youself of that timeline had an evil side, I was very scared because it would mean that you could also have a dark side.”
Celestia just looked sadly at Twilight Sparkle. “Princess, when I heard Daybreaker’s scream, I ran to where the scream came from. When I got to the room, Daybreaker was trapped in a shield made by Luna.”
“And did Daybreaker do something bad to you? Did she hurt you?” asked Celestia, concerned.
“No princess, she just looked at me curiously and asked me who I was,” replied Twilight. “I spoke my name and tried to remove the shield with its magic, but I failed.”
Celestia never imagined that Twilight Sparkle would try to save her self from the alternate timeline even if it was turned into Daybreaker. “And what happened next?”
Twilight Sparkle wiped away tears with a hoof. “I heard hoofbeats. Who appeared was Luna, Sunset Shimmer and her friends. I went to Luna and asked her to release yourself from the alternative timeline, but Sunset Shimmer said it wasn’t Celestia, but Daybreaker. I said it was Celestia, and I ended up even threatening Luna if she didn’t let youself go.”
Celestia was surprised by the last sentence. “Twilight, did you threaten my sister from the alternative timeline?”
Twilight Sparkle realized what she said and smiled nervously. “Yes…?”
“Twilight, I understand that you care about me, but you shouldn’t threaten my sister from that timeline,” said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle looked down. “I know princess, but I was afraid they were going to banish you.”
“Twilight, do you know that the Elements of Harmony only do what the bearers want to do to the enemy? If the bearers want to purify the evil pony the Elements of Harmony will purify, if the bearers want to banish the pony to the moon or the sun the Elements of Harmony will do so,” said Celestia.
“So does that mean that if you ever become evil, I won’t end up banishing you to the moon or the sun?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Twilight, I will never become evil.”
“But what if you become, princess?”
“Well, in case I ever become evil... I know that you and your friends will save me.”
“But what if I accidentally banish you?” cried Twilight Sparkle.
“Twilight I already told you, there’s no way that this can happen without the carriers wanting to,” said Celestia.
“I know Celestia, but I am afraid of losing you forever.”
“I’m also afraid of losing you forever, Twilight. But if I ever become evil, I will never stop caring about you.”
Twilight Sparkle smiled. “Really, princess?”
“Really, Twilight.” Celestia and Twilight started to touch their snouts. What the two didn’t know was that Spike was watching their conversation.
