//------------------------------// // Ch.7:The Strange Dream // Story: Blue Electric's Destiny // by Blueelectric //------------------------------// The next afternoon, Blue trotted out of the hospital with fresh new bandages around her wing. Spitfire and the rest of the Wonderbolts helped payed for her hospital bill as a way of thanks. She about to protest but Spitfire insisted; not that she's isn't grateful. She was about to head to the muesem when she heard a voice called out to her. She turn and spotted Spitfire walking up to her. Her wing is not bandaged anymore, but she still have to stay off of it for a while. "Your finally out." She was wearing a captain jacket, a whistle and a pair of shades. "I thought Dr.Stable would never let you leave." Blue flicked her ear. "I have to had another x-ray done and he told me to lay of work so it could heal." She groan with annoyance. "He even told Miss Era just to make sure." She sat down and pouted, "Now I'll be board out of my mind." Blue felt Spitfire's hoof over her shoulders. "It's not that bad Blue, trust me." Blue look up at her friend questioningly. Spitfire's eyes lit up. She leaned over and lowered her shades a little looking at Blue with a grin. "Do you want to see some Wonderbolts in training?" Blue perked up at that. They arrived at the now empty stadium. The whole team was there; with some of them doing push ups, sit ups, push ups with their wings, and doing laps in the air. Blue sat on the bleachers as the fiery Captain walked up to her teammates. "Alright Maggots, Listen Up!" The Wonderbolt rushed into line, their hooves raise up in salute. "I Want You all Fly Around This Stadium Ten Times. No Stopping Till I Say So!" They all take off as soon she blew her whistle hard. Blue folded her ears behind her head in shock. Spitfire trotted up and joined her on the bleachers. "I love my job." She beamed. Blue shook the ringing from her ears. "That whistle is loud." Spitfire lifted her whistle with a smile. "It is, isn't it? That's one thing I love being being captain." She glanced at the field with a frown. "My father was captain of the Wonderbolt when I was filly. I wanted to be just like him. He always bring me gifts from around Equestria. Then one day he never came home. My mother, Stormy Flare told me that he's busy with the shows and things. I know it's not true, he always comes home. Soon, when I was old enough to have my cutie mark, my mother told me the truth. She told me there had been a tragic accident and he lost his life." She lowered her head a little. Blue wrapped her wing around her comfortingly. Spitfire gazed at her with a smile while continuing, "So, I vowed to join the Wonderbolts and to continued his legacy. I soon got my cutie mark and worked my way to the top." She showed her the whistle. "This use to be my father's. He had given it to me before he left for the last time." "What was your father's name?" She asked with sympathy. "His name was Firestorm." Spitfire looked at her scars with a raised eyebrow. "How did you get those scars?" Blue gazed at the slash marks under her wing. She sighed folding her wing back in place. "The truth is, not everypony's father is as great as your's, Spitfire. My father was a very bad pony." She told her about her fillyhood; about what that stallion did to her and her mother. "And one day a manticore was attacking bat ponies outside of the cave that house the town. My father thought it was a good idea to send me out there to fight the beast. He said if I want to prove myself to him, I had to fight that thing on my own." Tears were starting to form in her eyes. "He said if I didn't, I had to fend for myself. Not wanting to leave my mother, I went out and started to fight the manticore. But it was much stronger than me and faster. It brought one paw up and clawed me. After that, the whole town besides my father came out and chase the creature away. I had lost a lot of blood that day and stayed in the hospital for days. The mayor kicked him out of town and my mother divorced him. He left, but not before telling me that he wishes that I did die." She stayed quiet for a moment, watching the Wonderbolts began their last lap. She suddenly felt forehooves wrapping around her and she turn her gaze to Spitfire who was giving her a warm hug. "I'm sorry that something like that happen to you." Blue thought she heard a crack in her voice. She return the embrace harder, burying her face into her neck. "Please don't cry for me. It's all in the past." She whispered. Spitfire quietly respond. "But you could've died. I would have lost you before i know how much you meant to me." She rubbed her check against Blue's own. "But I didn't, I wouldn't have saved you if I did or haven't even met you." She slowly raised her head and removed Spitfire's shades. She gazed into the amber eyes as she touched her black forehead against Spitfire's own. "Just don't worry about what happened in the past. My father got what he deserved. Everything worked out great in the end". They both sat for a few moments in each other's embrace, enjoying each other's company. Finally Blue look up, noticing the Wonderbolts already finished their exercises. "Spitfire, I think they're done." They broke apart from the embrace and Spitfire got up. Blue handed her, her sunglasses back. "Alright, enough with the mushy feelings. I've got work to do." She slipped the glasses back on. Blue got up as well. "I have to get back to town. I need to get some rest." Spitfire turned to Blue. "Alright, I'll see you around." She quickly give Blue a small peck on the check and head back to her teammates. Blue just shook it of with a smile and made her way towards town. She laid on her bed with a groan. She made it home, not before she headed straight towards Sugercube Corner for a bite to eat. What she did not expect, however, is the lights turned off. Then the light came on quickly with alot of ponies yelling "Surprise!", which scared the living bejesus out of her. Then the pink party pony gave her so much sweets, that she thought she was going to pop. That mare is going to give me diabetes one of these days! , She thought as she slowly drift to sleep. Blue was standing in the middle of Ponyville at midnight, when she spotted movement in the corner of her eyes. She look around and spotted a beautiful silver fox cub. The most beautiful fox she had ever seen. The little fox starts to run away. Blue followed it. "Hey, wait up!" She called for it. It led her into the Everfree Forest. She paused for a moment, knowing the dangers in that heinous place. But she knew she have to go after that fox, so she went in anyway. The young fox led her to a cave. She paused as she look into the cave. She slowly went inside. Instead of going inside she found herself in front of a large sparkly lake She looked around feeling confused. The fox was nowhere to be found. Instead it was Spitfire, sitting next to her. She was gazing at her with a loving smile. They were inside of a cave, with the moon shining through a hole in the roof. The moon was in a right position, making the water sparkle. She heard the name of the lake out of nowhere:Lunar Lake. She then found herself playing in the lake with Spitfire, splashing water at each other. They were both laughing, having such a great time. In a swift movement, Spitfire pinned Blue down with a look of adoration in her eyes. She leaned in and kissed her. Suddenly the scene switched and she found her father instead. Blue was wearing a dress and she looked around to find herself in Canterlot. He was looking down at her wickedly. He was wearing the most evil smile she had ever seen on him. She tried to get him off of her, but he's to heavy to budge. He raised his hoof very high ready to strike her in a killing blow. Suddenly he was thrown off of her. She look around and spotted Spitfire standing over him with a look of pure rage in her eyes. Her other friends ran over, all in their dresses too. They all surround her, facing her father. More hoofsteps appear and all of them look around and spotted Princess Celestia and her sister Princess Luna walking up towards them. As they past Blue, Luna looked back at her and gave her a knowing smile. Her horn flashed and Blue found herself sitting by a fireplace She looked around to find herself at a camping spot. Spitfire was beside her, wing wrapped protectively around her. She was chatting away with the rest of her teammates. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy was there as well. Blue gazed at Spitfire, who in return, nuzzled the top of her head. All of a sudden, three pairs of glowing green eyes appeared. Blue heard menacing growls from all three of them. The others looked up with horror growing on their faces. Blue then find herself racing towards a large gorge. She was bleeding from every wound on her pelt. She hears the loud roaring water in it. She flapped her wings and took off towards it. Spitfire was pinned to the ground by a giant wolf made of trees, one of it's wooden paw pinned against her chest. Blue dived on top of it, sinking her sharp fangs into it's wooden back. It reared back with a furious roar and fell into the gorge, not before biting into Blue's wing and taking her with it. "BLUE!" A horrified voice screamed. Blue fell into the roaring water. She found herself weakly swimming to the surface, mouthful of water. She hauled herself out of the river, cough out a gallon and collapsed onto the shore. She laid there breathing heavily. She heard a voice; "Trust in your destiny Blue Electric!" Blue woke up in bed gasping for air. She look at her clock to find it was past 9 a.m. She walked to her window and looked outside, wondering what the heck she just seen, last night in her dream.
