When Adam woke up, rain started to fall over the city. Spiderman got up and walked to the edge of the roof, "Okay; two down, four to go. I should check in with Fluttershy." On cue, the phone in Adam's mask started ringing.
"Adam, can you hear me?" Sunset asked over the phone. Spidey was confused on why she was ringing him, "Sunset, how'd you get my number?" the girl explained that she got his number from Fluttershy and that she had information about the other villains, "I still think your a threat to our city, but your the only one who can stop these crazies." Adam agreed with her statement; then began swinging through the buildings.
"What info have you got for me?" Sunset was in her room with her laptop, she read the information from this mornings news report. "Spiderman double crosses Bird-man & Lightning Boy." and "Scorpion monster spotted in the park by city's water suppliers." Adam got the information; though he didn't like that people thought he was working with the Six and then backstabbing them. "Okay, I'm going to stop Scorpion." Sunset also explained, "Adam, I want to be wrong about you. Prove to me and my friends that you are a hero, then we'll see if you can date our friend."
Adam blushed a little, "Sunset, were not dating. Were just...." that's when the boy sighed in defeat. Sunset hung up and Spiderman swung to the city's park.

Upon arrival; the park was abandoned, almost like a ghost town. Spidey landed on top of the water tower and mumbled, "Now if I was a mercenary dressed like scorpion, where would I hide."
Suddenly; leaping from behind Adam, "Right here!" Scorpion said as he swung his tail at the hero. Adam tried to dodge the attack but Scorpion's stinger slashed his arm; Spidey's shoulder was glowing green. "Me; I'd end it now. But Otto is paying, and he wants to torture you." Scorpion then leaps away, leaving Adam with poison running through his body.
"Uh, what did he inject me with." Spiderman suddenly blacked out for a few minutes.
When he woke up; the city was flooded, with poison. "Can't be real, can it? Shouldn't take any chances, got to get to higher ground." Adam began web-swinging to the highest building he could find; he landed on the wall and sprinted up the side of the building. Once he was safe; he scanned his body, "A rare toxin from a wild Amazon plant, my brain will create nightmares that my body thinks are real." There was only one antidote, but it needed some ingredients.
"An eclipt alba, an anti-toxin & then I need to mix a permanent antidote." Adam thought about where he could find his first ingredient. "Canterlot High's green house was growing those plants, hope it's in season." Spidey swung his way back to the school; he noticed that as he was swinging, the sea of poison was rising.
When he finally arrived at the green house, he found what he was looking for. "There's the eclipt alba." As Adam went to grab it; he fell to the floor, his head was in terrible pain. There was a sudden flash of light; the plant was gone, "What's going on." Spiderman left the green house and suddenly.....
….he was back at his house. Not the apartment he has, his house on Earth 1. Adam asked, "Is this real, or in my mind."
"It can be both."
"Ratchet?" Adam opened his front door, standing in his garden was the Autobot medical officer; Ratchet. "It's just the poisons taking effect, you can get through this."
Adam started to follow the Autobot, as if he was leading him somewhere. "You can't be real Ratchet, you died." The medic stopped and turned to the boy, "That's right; Optimus could have saved me. I used the rest of my strength to use the Space Bridge to get your lizard friend back to Earth. After that, Megatronous impaled my spark; I was dead on the spot." Adam was hurt inside; he knew that this Ratchet wasn't real but to see someone he's lost again, it made his heart ache. Ratchet continued to lead him through the streets.
When the end of the block came closer, Adam saw the eclipt alba. Ratchet continued to list the times the Avengers had failed, "And after I died; you let half the universe get snapped out existence. Then you let Otto and his gang into the world you promised to protect. The hard truth is Adam, your no hero." The boy then turned back to the Autobot, but Ratchet just faded away.
Adam grabbed the plant; but there was another flash of light, he was suddenly back in the green house. When he walked out; he muttered, "Now to get an anti-toxin; the animal shelter has them in their first-aid kits. I have to get there." Adam begins swinging towards the animal shelter; however he was attacked by something unexpected, "Giant deadly Scorpion tails; great thanks brain." Spidey dodges the tails whilst trying to concentrate on swinging.
Spiderman arrives at the shelter; once inside, he found the kits in the office. As he goes to grab one, his head begins to ache again. Another flash of light; the first-aid kit was gone, he leaves the office and finds himself in his old house again. "Not this again."
"You need the anti-toxin don't you?"
"Otto?" Adam once again opened his front door and revealed Dr Otto Fidler. "Doc, you sound...."
"Like I did before the neural-interface effected my mind." Doc began to walk towards the first-aid kit. Adam muttered, "I don't know if this is real or not; but when I cure this poison, I'm gonna stop you Otto." The doctor continued, "You seem to forget, you helped me create those arms. If you had just said no, I never would have done those terrible things." When Adam reached the kit; like Ratchet, Otto disappeared.
Another Flash of light and Spidey was back in the shelter. "Now I just need to mix a permanent antidote, Doctor Whooves science room at Canterlot High should have the equipment." He began swinging back towards the school.
On his way; the phone in Adam's mask began to ring, "How you hanging Spiderman? Still chasing dolphins and pink elephants." Then Adam cried, "Scorpion?! How'ed you get this number?" Scorpion hung up the phone, leaving Spidey swinging and confused.
Adam arrived at the School; the window was open, so Adam crawled into the lab. Once inside; his head ache more than ever, "AH!" he cried.
"I think our son needs help. He's needs to get out of this little world he's made up." Adam looked up and saw..... his parents.
"Your right Jen, he thinks he's Spiderman. The boy needs help." Spidey watched his parents talking; then suddenly, their bodies molded into something else. They both squished together, forming a new body. "Afraid of you own mind Spiderman." Scorpion said as he was formed from Adam's parents. From the dark, every super-villain Adam ever faced emerged. Doc Ock, Mysterio, Electro, Vulture, Rhino, Shocker, Kraven, Venom, Carnage, Sandman & Hydro man.
Appearing in Scorpion's arms, Fluttershy was cowering. "This is why you came here? Because your in love with an impy, wimpy little excuse for a pegasus." Spiderman couldn't take it any more; with all his rage, he punched Scorpion right in the face. The villain then shattered into acid, as did the rest of the villains; even Fluttershy. The illusion was over; Adam quickly made the antidote and injected it into his arm.
After that he passed out.....
When he woke up; he was still in the lab. Adam looked outside; the acid ocean was gone, all was normal. (Apart from the convicts still tearing the streets apart.) Adam had only one thing on his mind, find Scorpion and stop Ock's plan.
