Team Fortress 2 x My Little Pony

by Vietmane Veteran

First Half-Day

(Alright, no need to get out the pokeball. I’d just burst out anyway. Alright, once the story reaches the ponies, it will be multiple views over the same course of time. The importance of this isn’t that visible in the first chapter, but as chapters go on, everypony will be doing their own stuff, eventually meeting together by the end of the day. Hope my gabbering was helpful.)

It was not a normal day in Mann Co. history. Absent were the usual noises of Primary Weapons being triggered. Redmond and Blutarch rolled in their dug-up graves as they heard the sounds on today's battlefield. A most sickening sound indeed.

Laughter.

Today was a full moon, and both teams had decided to wear the Cursed Voodoo skin of their class. Corpses ran across the ground, wounds visibly open on all but the Medics. But, the only actual blood spilled was simply from hit and run scenarios. Some even apologized for killing the enemy.

Whatever mercenary carried the most important piece of these matches aimed not for the opposite team as they ran off, but targeted their allies. They would run across this map, sometimes speeding up before slowing down. Once enough points were scored, mercs would launch off a jump pad and try to access the water tower.

There were two more things wrong with this picture. Replacing the RED Demoman was the ghost of Merasmus, and replacing the BLU Soldier was the Horseless Headless Horseman. They had advantages over the other players, which also made them the biggest targets. Of course, no one could kill Merasmus, but he was incredibly slow and unathletic. But he could fly, making the BLU Sniper aim at him with the Huntsman and try to shoot him out of the sky.

Brickyard. One of 3 Passtime maps. Played with an odd spiky ball known simply as the JACK.

Off to the side of the central area of the map was the RED Demoman and the BLU Soldier. They talked about old times and shared beers. Furry Judas, the one responsible for their break, was sleeping on Soldiers head, chewing a pack of cigarettes.

The announcer spoke: "Visit from Saxton Hale in 2 minutes! BLU team Scored 2 points!" For RED: "You've failed!" followed by boos. But BLU team heard: "Victory!" followed by cheers.

BLU Team's weapons became Crit charged, while Tavish found that his beer disappeared, having been counted as a weapon.

With the match over, everyone turned their attention upwards, each trying to see Saxton Hale first.

There was the sound of a Spy decloaking, then someone tapped Tavish's shoulder. "What is it, Spy?" he asked, still facing Jane, the BLU Soldier.

Jane moved his attention back to Tavish, and started sputtering. "Sa- Sa- Sa-!"

"Oh, come off it! Spy can't be that scary in a white beard."

Tavish turned. He looked up. He gulped. "Saxton Hale!"

"In the flesh, mate! Now, mind telling me why and how you got Merasmus and Triple H to take your place on the battlefield?"

Demoman was too terrified of the being of pure Austrailium to answer, as was Soldier and almost every other class on either side.

Furry Judas spoke up, chittering in Racoon, and Saxton bent down to listen. "I see," Saxton muttered. "Mm hm. Oh. That so. And how did he do that? That's brilliant. And you called him off. Amazing." Saxton straitened up. "Merasmus, why did you get yourself wrapped up in a prank war with a racoon armed with deodorant and a ball of yarn? You had to have known you would lose from the start."

"I thought I could win, okay? But, it turned out that Lieutenant Bites was too clever in that standard."

Saxton turned to the mercs. "Alright you two, back to work."

"Negatory!"

Saxton narrowed his eyes. "And why is that?" Furry Judas spoke again. "Oh. 3 whole weeks, eh? Tell me, how did Triple H get wrapped up in this? How on Earth did he lose a height contest? I see. Well then, boys, how am I going to get you to get back to work before the 3-week punishment officially ends?"

"You'd have to do the impossible. Defeat Merasmas in a fist fight in under 1 minute," Tavish said. Merasmus flew high into the air.

"Or at least punch him to the ground!" Jane said.

"Only that? Simple!" Saxton walked around, looking about as if searching for something. He clapped his hands together, then scratched the Australia shaped patch of chest hair that decorated his chest.

Without warning, he pushed off the ground, leaping high and fast towards Merasmus. In a panic, Merasmus started to shout: "Ipsum Insta-
The rest was drowned out by the sound of fist contacting flesh. Even though it wasn't flesh.

Suddenly, all members were teleported to their bases. "What just happened?" Jeremy, the Scout, exclaimed.

"I reckon that Merasmus somehow Eureka Affected us all here," Engineer stated.

"Heavy is not surprised that Merasmus messed up such a simple spell. Magic baby man need to read more Magic Monday."

"What happens when you mix magic blood, an interrupted spell started in panic, and force irradiated with Australium?" Pyro wondered out loud. Of course, no one could understand the blue arsonist with his mask on.

The Pyro plopped down on the couch and turned on the tele. He sat up when he saw what was on. "Homph humphers!"
Scout came over.

"Ghost Busters? Wait, dat's My Little Pony! Eh, ever'body, we got a rerun of Boast Busters! Gader round!

Twilight rolled over in her sleep. A new spell was in there somewhere. Was under the table? No. Was it in the cereal soup? No. It was somewhere in this dream. Twilight twirled over like a ballerina to the table. It was in the table! There, between the marching band ants playing Yanky Doodle and Pinkie Pie eating sand tea! And there! On the stove! In the soup! 3 new spells! And to top it off, Trixie was reading a magazine on magic as she reshelved pancakes painted like Twilight and her friends, and while saying how the spells worked and how to activate them.

Twilight reached for the spells with her teeth, and grabbed them one by one. She reached for Trixie's magazine, but Trixie slapped Twilight's teeth, saying "Wake up Twilight. Um, that is, if you wouldn’t mind. It's just that-"

Twilight woke up to find herself levitating against the roof. "Agh!" she screamed as she lost focus of her spell.

"Eep! Sorry Twilight, I didn't mean to startle you, I just had a bad dream earlier, and I was hoping I could talk to you about it." Fluttershy approached the bed. "Um, Twilight? Ar- Are you okay?"

Twilight lifted her head. "I'm better than okay! I just learned 3 new spells that I want to try out. But first, I want to hear about your dream. Maybe I can help?"

Fluttershy started to speak, then seemed to think better of it. "I mean, I want to tell you my dream, but I don't want to scare you."

"Nonsense, Fluttershy. Truth be told, I'm sure that your dream won't scare me. Here, come lay down." Fluttershy obliged.

"So, about your dream?" Twilight asked

"Oh, right. Well, there were these nine minotaurs. Well, eight. I'm pretty sure one was a dragon. Um, well. I- I don't want to scare you, but in the dream, they just kept fighting. They fought to- Eep! I don't want to say."

"It's all right, Fluttershy. You don't have to tell me what they were fighting over if it makes you so uncomfortable."

Fluttershy gave a shudder. "I couldn't tell what they were fighting over. But they were fighting to the death, and it was awful, but they didn't stay dead, they came back just to fight and kill and, oh it was just so awful!" Fluttershy fell against Twilight, sobbing. Twilight wasn't sure what to do, so she just stroked Fluttershy's mane and let her cry her tears.

Twilight ignored her empty belly and the sounds and scents of Spike making breakfast downstairs. Spike called upwards "Twilight! Breakfast is ready! It's one of your favorites!"

Twilight looked at Fluttershy. "Eh, how you feeling about breakfast? Think it might help you?" Fluttershy gave a nod and wiped her eyes.

"Ye- yes, I'd like tha- that a lo- a lot."

"Celery pancakes with mint-syrup, Twilight! If you don't eat it, I will!" Spike called up. Twilight and Fluttershy giggled.

"Well, we can't have that! Come on, Fluttershy, we gotta beat him to the food!" They both gave another giggle. Twilight smiled as she saw that Fluttershy no longer looked nervous or scared. Now, she looked happy.

After breakfast, they read together for a while. Twilight got a spark of inspiration, and copied down the three spells, Fluttershy just watching.
"Spike, send this to Rarity. I left instructions within, so we will regroup later and see how the spells turned out." Spike obliged with a puff of fire, then went back to his room to continue reading Power Ponies.

"Um, should we test the spell?"

"Yes, and you will be the one to cast the spell!"

Fluttershy tilted her head in confusion. "But, I'm not a unicorn."

"You don't need to be! It's verbal magic!"

"Oh, um, wouldn't that really tire out a pony?"

"Well, normally, yes, but these ones get their power from items. I don't have the original pages they’re from, so they will be more limited."

"How did you find these spells?"

"In a weird dream I had this morning! I can't remember the details, but the spells should work."

"Oh, okay. Um, so, what- Um, what should I use? Is there a scroll or something?"

"Oh, right! Here! Just hold the parchment in your mouth, and speak. Should work."

Fluttershy read the floating paper before gently taking it. "Murho Hahalhoe." The paper disappeared with a flash of green fire, a circle of light around Fluttershy's hooves, then Fluttershy jerked her head up, and then she glowed for a second.

"Well? How do you feel?" Twilight asked eagerly.

"Better. Just, better. Like a pick-me-up in spell form went all throughout me. Then, unstoppable, but only for a moment."

Twilight squeed in excitement, clapping her forehooves together. "It worked! just like she said it would!"

"Like who said it would?"

"The Trixie from my dream. I'd tell you more about it, but most of the details are fuzzy. I think she was shelving books."

Fluttershy paced back and forth for a moment before turning to look at Twilight. "I know how this may sound, but I'm too full of energy to relax here. Let's take a flight, er, I mean, a walk. That is, if you want to."

Twilight gave a smile. "Sure! Let's go. Spike! I'm heading out! You're in charge until I get back!" Twilight perked her ears, waiting for the response.

"Okay! Have a good time!"

Twilight gave a smile.

Twilight and Fluttershy walked around town for a few hours. At one point, Twilight could have sworn that she heard fire, but when they arrived at the scene, there was no damage save for a broken bench.

At around lunchtime, Fluttershy suggested that they go to Sugar Cube Corner, to which Twilight gladly agreed. When they arrived, they found the rest of the Mane 6, as well as others, waiting for them. Twilight did a quick count and realized that there were 10 total in the room.

"THERE YOU ARE, Twilight and Fluttershy! Applejack's been waiting since this morning, as have I, of course, but then again, I live here! Rarity and Zecora and Big Mac and Derpy and Rainbow Dash ran into each other earlier, and of course, Scootaloo goes where Dashie goes! You're late! And to your own meeting!"

Twilight blinked as she processed what Pinkie just ranted. "My own meeting?"

"Duh. You said to meet here on the scroll you sent to Rarity!"

"Oh. Wait, I simply wrote for us to meet 'later'. I didn't give a time."

"Weeeellllllll, I think we thought you would come earlier and wait for us instead of the other way around," Pinkie said.

"Eyup," Big Mac agreed.

"Ah was just told to wait here."

"Don't worry Twilight, we're not mad; you've nothing to fear." Zecora added, a plate of cookies in front of her.

"You coulda came sooner, Twi," Rainbow Dash said.

"What scroll? What's going on Rainbow Dash?" Scootaloo asked. Rarity and Derpy were looking through some books at a table.

"Um, if you don't mind; I don't mean to be rude, but, um, could you ask the questions one at a time? I'm having a hard time following who's saying what." Everyone stared at Fluttershy, and she "Eep,"ed. "Oh, um, first you, Applejack."

"Thank ya kindly, Fluttershy. Now, what's all this about letters?" Applejack asked, straitening up in her seat.

Twilight turned her head towards the Cowpony. "Oh, that. I found some spells in my sleep, so I sent Rarity a copy."

Derpy raised her hoof. "Um, yes, Derpy?" Fluttershy invited.

"Me and Rarity have been looking through 'Spell Origins,' 'A Language of Spells,' and 'Sonic Energies Commonly Mistaken for Magic," and so far, have not found any other magic that works with green fire other than draconic and changeling. But we're still searching, don’t ya worry.”

Rarity looked up, stress lines visible. “Derpy, I think you should of brought ‘Dream state Magic.’”

“I think it is a foreign magic, The properties you may not find because they are often so elastic; They fall into more than one category. Still, it is fascinating to read up on magic, do you agree?" Zecora said/ asked, cookie crumbs falling from her face.

"Well, this is more science than magic," Derpy said as she held up- Twilight gazed at the cover. There was no loopy letters, hieroglyphs, or plain print on that cover.

Instead, there were "Circles with circles within circles. Derpy, what language is that?" Twilight inquired.

"Night Pony, I think. The Doc just said it was from the Stars. I learned how to read it!" She tilted her head with a grin.

Twilight was astonished. A language unlike any others of Equestria. Maybe, she thought to herself, she should have studied languages and science more.

Pinkie raised her hoof high into the air. It came off with a little *pop* and fell to the ground. She reattached her arm, and raised the other. Fluttershy gasped and turned. "Oh, sorry Pinkie. I forgot I was picking who spoke. You can. Um, speak now, that is."

"Can you do the teleport spell now?"

"Alright," Twilight said, floating the spell up to herself. She focused her sight to just outside the door "Ipsum Instantarium!" The scroll disappeared in green fire, and dark smoke covered Twilight. She panicked as she saw it cover everyone else as well. With a crackle of red and blue, she and her friends teleported.

Fluttershy was on a battlefield. Minotaurs with oddly toned fur ran around, firing weapons of sorts. The fast one ran past her, but wasn't he just blue? The giant one rumbled past, calling out "Medic!" Fluttershy rushed to help him, and suddenly, a red beam connected. The giant one went next to the worker, who held a device of some sort in his hands. Suddenly, the giant one narrowed in a puff of blue smoke, and backstabbed the worker! Before Fluttershy could react, a spiky ball flew past her, having come from one wearing a beanie. The ball exploded!

But wait! there was a- A DRAGON! It summoned fire in its blunt claws and burned the masked minotaur. The dragon turned towards Fluttershy. It gave an empty look with its blackened eyes before turning away. The worker ran past Fluttershy. He's back! Fluttershy felt something HOT hit her. The heat disappeared as it spread over her body. More tiny moments of heat that disappeared. Suddenly, she felt her heart stop.

She saw the giant one. But wasn't he her friend? What did she do to anger him? She reappeared in a room. She saw her hands put away the healing device and bring out bone saw. She was filled with RAGE. Stupid BLU! She rushed out of the room. One look at the battle made her realize what she was doing. "Please, please no! Just heal, only heal, please don't!"

Fluttershy had handled bone saws before, but very rarely. Sometimes parasitic diseases latched onto the bone of a manticore or a chimera or some other creature of the Everfree forest. They couldn’t be removed by magic; they had to be cut away. Thank goodness for numbing spells, or the patients would have been in great pain. But she had first-hoof seen how easily they cut though manticore hide; a minotaurs hide was weaker!

Her host seemed to hear her pleas, and stopped to swap for the healing device. Suddenly, Cold, just COLD covered her and was part of her as she saw the masked one from before. She was ice! The masked one pulled out some paper and tossed it at her frozen body. A sharp noise, and the masked one's head was gone.

She returned. One of them was outside the door. He brought his hat to his chest, put it back on his head, and then pulled out a small black weapon. He pulled the trigger, and Fluttershy felt the heat again and again.

Fluttershy sat up in her bed, breathing heavily. She was terrified. She glanced to her left, where Angel slept. He blearily looked up at her, then he hopped up and rushed to help his Momma as Fluttershy knew he thought her as, but also knew would never call her that. He expressed his concerns for her. "I'm al- al- al- alright An- Angel. Ju- just a nightmare. It can't hurt me. Right? Right." She took a deep breath.

Angel suggested she visit one of her friends later, spend the day with them, and come back for broccoli, carrot, and radish stew. Fluttershy nodded. Her breathing had slowed, so she decided to lay down and go back to sleep.

Static covered her sight, then a face appeared. Her host from before was looking down at her. He glanced up and gave a shout, followed by loud noises. Fluttershy woke up again. "I- I think I'll visit my friends now. I'll see y- you later, Angel."

It was dark outside, but Fluttershy needed comfort. Angel was a great friend, but he lacked sympathy; he didn't think problems could be solved by talking about emotions. Instead, he solved them with inventions or distractions. Those were good for most of Fluttershy's problems, but you couldn't get rid of a nightmare with soup. But it was sweet, the way he tried. His happy face was always worth any and all the trouble.

Fluttershy shook her head as she saw the Golden Oaks Library. She was so deep in thought, she didn't realize she walked all this way through the dark and empty town. She glanced around and "Eep"ed as she realized what she did and how spooky the town looked.

She opened the door, deciding she would wait inside for day rather than outside. She walked through the dark library and up to Twilight's room. She stopped when she saw that Twilight was floating. But Twilight's body position and eyelid flutters meant that she was asleep. So, she was sleep spell casting?

Fluttershy approached the bed as Twilight floated higher. "Wake up, Twilight. Um, that is, if you wouldn't mind. It’s just that-"

"Agh!"

Fluttershy stumbled back in surprise as Twilight fell to her bed.

"Eep! Sorry Twilight, I didn't mean to startle you, I just had a bad dream earlier, and I was hoping I could talk to you about it." Fluttershy walked towards the bed. "Um, Twilight? Ar- Are you okay?" Fluttershy asked with concern, her head slightly tilted to the side.

"I'm better than okay! I just learned 3 new spells that I want to try out. But first, I want to hear about your dream. Maybe I can help?" Twilight asked.

"Well-" Fluttershy thought against it. "I mean, I want to tell you my dream, but I don't want to scare you."

"Nonsense, Fluttershy. Truth be told, I'm sure that your dream won't scare me. Here, come lay down."

Fluttershy walked over and joined Twilight on the bed. "So, about your dream?" Twilight asked, floating over a quill and paper from the bedside table.

"Oh, right. Well, there were these nine minotaurs. Well, eight. I'm pretty sure one was a dragon. Um, well. I- I don't want to scare you, but in the dream, they just kept fighting. They fought to- Eep! I don't want to say," Fluttershy said as she felt some of the panic return.

"It's all right, Fluttershy. You don't have to tell me what they were fighting over if it makes you so uncomfortable," Twilight said, putting away the quill and paper.

Fluttershy gave a shudder. If she didn't say now, then she wouldn't say later, then she would be stuck with the fear. "I couldn't tell what they were fighting over. But they were fighting to the death, and it was awful, but they didn't stay dead, they came back just to fight and kill and, oh it was just so awful!" Fluttershy fell against Twilight, sobbing. She felt Twilight sling one hoof around her in a hug, and the other hoof combing her mane. This is why Fluttershy had to go to her friends. She couldn't get this kind of treatment from Angel as easily as from her friends.

They laid like this for some time. Spike called something upstairs later, and Fluttershy heard and felt Twilight's stomach give a small growl. She smiled a small smile at that. "Eh, how you feeling about breakfast? Think it might help you?"

Fluttershy gave a nod and wiped her eyes. "Ye- yes, I'd like tha- that a lo- a lot."

"Celery pancakes with mint-syrup, Twilight! If you don't eat it, I will!" Spike called up. Fluttershy and Twilight giggled.

"Well, we can't have that! Come on, Fluttershy, we gotta beat him to the food!" They both gave another giggle. Fluttershy no longer felt scared. Now, she felt happy.

After breakfast, they read together for a while. Fluttershy watched as Twilight's eyes lit up. Twilight got a paper and a quill, and wrote something down.

"Spike, send this to Rarity. I left instructions within, so we will regroup later and see how the spells turned out." Spike obliged with a puff of fire, then went back to his room, probably to continue reading Power Ponies.

"Um, should we test the spell?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yes, and you will be the one to cast the spell!"

Fluttershy tilted her head in confusion. "But, I'm not a unicorn."

"You don't need to be! It's verbal magic!" Twilight said with an excited tone.

"Oh, um, wouldn't that really tire out a pony?"

"Well, normally, yes, but these ones get their power from items. I don't have the original pages they’re from, so they will be more limited."

"How did you find these spells?" Fluttershy asked as she tried to recall the finer details of how verbal spells worked.

"In a weird dream I had this morning! I can't remember the details, but the spells should work."

"Oh, okay. Um, so, what- Um, what should I use? Is there a scroll or something?" Fluttershy asked, looking around.

"Oh, right! Here! Just hold the parchment in your mouth, and speak. Should work."

Fluttershy read the floating paper before gently taking it. "Murho Hahalhoe." The paper disappeared with a flash of green fire. Fluttershy jerked her head up as she felt a surge of magic and . . . something else.

"Well? How do you feel?" Twilight asked.

Fluttershy thought on how to answer.

Let's take a flight, er, I mean, a walk," she corrected herself. "That is, if you want to."

Twilight gave a smile. "Sure! Let's go. Spike! I'm heading out! You're in charge until I get back!" Twilight perked her ears.

"Okay! Have a good time!"

Twilight gave a smile.

Fluttershy and Twilight walked around town for a few hours. At one point, they heard an explosion, but the only damage was a broken bench. When it neared lunch, Fluttershy started getting hungry. She knew that Angel was busy with making the stew and would want her out of the way, so she suggested that she and Twilight go to Sugarcube Corner.

"THERE YOU ARE, Twilight and Fluttershy! Applejack's been waiting since this morning, as have I, of course, but then again, I live here! Zecora and Big Mac have been waiting, Rarity and Derpy and Rainbow Dash ran into each other earlier, and of course, Scootaloo goes where Dashie goes! You're late! And to your own meeting!" Fluttershy was taken by startled by this outburst, so she tried to orient herself. But now Zecora and Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo were talking at once. Did she miss something?

"Um, if you don't mind; I don't mean to be rude, but, um, could you ask the questions one at a time? I'm having a hard time following who's saying what." Everyone stared at Fluttershy, and she "Eep,"ed. "Oh, um, first you, Applejack."

Fluttershy was then distracted as she thought about those gathered in Sugarcube Corner. Derpy was reading a hefty tome of spells while Rarity was reading a spell book. There was Zecora, she's so nice to others, and her rhymes are always fun. Rainbow Dash was always a good friend. Scootaloo was being adorable with how she clung to Rainbow. Big Mac was a big thinker when he spoke, even if only a few words. Twilight was a good friend, and a great reading buddy. Applejack has always been a great and true friend. If sometimes a little bit stubborn on some occasions. Wait, was that the sound of a bubble? Well, Pinkie is here, so it might be her stretching her arm too much. Wait!

Fluttershy gasped and turned. "Oh, sorry Pinkie. I forgot I was picking who spoke. You can. Um, speak now, that is."

"Can you do the teleport spell now?"

"Alright." Twilight floated the spell up to herself. "Ipsum Instantarium!" The scroll disappeared in green fire, and dark smoke covered Twilight. Fluttershy froze as she saw it spread. She clenched her eyes closed.

Rainbow Dash rolled over, hugging Tank. Not for the first time, inventions swirled around her head. She'd have to get these to Scootaloo. Together, they made a great mechanic crew. Or was it called a monkey crew? Eh, slang is always strange. She looked out the window. About 10, 10:30 in the morning? Eh, she should get something to eat, then take a nap in the park. Yeah, a nap is always good.

Rainbow rolled over further to set Tank on the ground. She overextended and fell onto the ground as well, along with a *thwomp*. "Dangnabbit," she muttered. Must of stayed up late reading books or making blueprints. She lifted herself up and yawned. Tank reached over towards Rainbow's leg.

"Ow! Why the heck did you bite me?" Tank looked up and gave a slow blink. "Hey, it's my house. I can use bad words if I want."

"What's 'dangnabbit' mean?" Scootaloo's voice drifted from the other side of the bed in a tired tone. Rainbow spun around and tripped over the blankets that fell to the ground. She righted herself while she tried to find words to say.

She chose "Please, please, never repeat that word! I forgot we had a slumber party, and I just accidently forgot you were here!"

Scootaloo blinked. "O- *YAWN* kay, Rainbow Dash. So, what are we doing today?"

"Well, first you gotta wake up all the way. Then we go to the market or Sugarcube Corner for some food. Which one?" Rainbow asked, flipping her mane to get a lock of it out of her sight.

"Sugarcube."

Rainbow Dash smile and reached over to rub Scootaloo's mane. "Knew it. Once you finish waking up, we'll go."

Rainbow left the room to get the Flying Harness from the workshop. After she put it on Tank and let him outside, she returned to her bedroom to find Scootaloo straightening out the bed. "Hey, Scootaloo, you know you don't have to do that, right?"

"Sorry, Rainbow Dash. Just habit."

"Your aunts did good in honing your manners. Now, come'n, it's time to go!"

Rainbow let Scootaloo on her back. She flew around, giving Scootaloo some thrill to the ride. Her eyes picked up a flash of green from below. Then some light. Then a- "Rainbow Dash! Fireball!"

Rainbow veered to the side as she looked for who cast the spell. Rarity?! "Rarity?! What are you doing?!" A crowd of ponies started to gather thickly, watching the fireball in amazement.

Rarity was panting as her horn glowed. Rainbow looked around, and saw the fireball held in Rarity's magic. She landed next to the straining Rarity. "What. Was. That?"

"New spells. Twilight. Just skimmed. Don't know what kind of Magic. Would help to know. Can't hold for much longer. Where?"

Rainbow glanced around. "There! There's nopony near the bench!" Rarity wrenched her head towards the bench and released her spell. The fireball crashed against it and disappeared.

"Hey, Rarity, Rainbow Dash? Let's scram." Rainbow Dash took off, and Rarity followed.

Suddenly, something grey flew towards Rainbow from above. She tried to move to avoid it, but her wing was clipped and she crashed to the ground. "Oops. Sorry, Rainbow Dash. I didn't mean to do that." Rainbow squirmed out from under Derpy. She gave a glare as she dusted herself off.

"You've gotta be more careful, Derpy!"

"I'm sorry. I just don't what went wrong. Oh, are those spell scrolls? What do they do?" Derpy asked as she picked herself up.

"Apparently, one cast a fireball, another cast a healing spell, and another is a teleportation spell. They all are vocal and require a source of magic. In this case, it is the paper I have provided. Oh, Twilight clearly mentions what the spells do. But spells don't come this varied with the same magic style unless it's uniquely made by a unicorn or other magic caster. But Twilight says that these are new spells, so where would we find spell books that she doesn't have?" Rarity asked, rubbing her chin.

Rainbow opened her mouth to make a suggestion, but Derpy cut in with "Oh, that's easy. Doc's got lots of rare stuff. I'm sure he has something for us! Lemme go check. Meet me at the Sugar Corner!" With that, she flew off.

Rainbow watched her as Derpy tumbled/flew through the streets. "You know, it's almost cute, the way she is. Why doesn't she ever go to a psychiatrist or whoever deals it is that deals with mental cases?"

"Rainbow, that's not a nice-"

"Wait, where Scootaloo?!"

A groan drifted from a tree. "Here."

"Oh, gosh, are you okay?" Rainbow exclaimed as she dashed over.

"Yeah. Pony hide. Gonna take more than a tree to hurt me. Ow." Rainbow picked up Scootaloo and lowered her to the ground. She hunkered down and Scootaloo climbed up onto her back.
"To Sugarcube Corner!"

"Ok, then. are you sure you’re all right?"

"Yeah, Rainbow Dash."

"Darlings, I am so, so sorry for that."

"We know. Let's just get to Sugarcube Corner, ASAP."

They quickly made their way to Sugarcube corner, where they found Derpy trying to balance 3 books on her nose. One of her eyes glanced over them, and she let the books fall onto the table. Also inside was Pinkie Pie, Big Mac, Zecora, and Applejack.

"Howdy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity. What brings you two here?"

"Twilight sent me a few spells, and she said to meet up here."

"Came here with them," Rainbow said, pointing one wing to Rarity and the other to Scootaloo. She hunkered down to let Scootaloo down. She walked to a corner. "Hey, I'm gonna take a nap, Scootaloo. Your job is to make sure nobody wakes me until Twilight gets here, alright?"

"OK, Rainbow Dash!"

Rainbow gave a smile before yawning. She laid down and fell asleep.

She woke up, probably an hour or so later. She gave a stretch. Oh, there's Twilight.
"Oh. Wait, I simply wrote for us to meet 'later'. I didn't give a time," Twilight said. Rainbow pieced together the scene enough to add a comment.

"You coulda came sooner, Twi," Rainbow Dash said.

"What scroll? What's going on Rainbow Dash?" Scootaloo asked. Rainbow stopped to think. What did she miss? She took a bit to straighten her jumbled thoughts. She gave a yawn.

Her head cleared in time to see Twilight doing a spell. Awesome smoke effect. Wait, Twilight looked worried! The spell must have gone wrong!

Scootaloo heard a thump. "Dangnabbit," drifted to her ears. She slowly lifted herself up, giving a stretch. A ringing was in her ears.

"What's 'dangnabbit' mean?" she asked.

"Please, please, never repeat that word! I forgot we had a slumber party, and I just accidently forgot you were here!"

Scootaloo blinked, trying to get things into focus. "O- *YAWN* kay, Rainbow Dash. So, what are we doing today?" She raised a hoof to rub her eyes.

"Well, first you *gotta* wake up all the way. Then we *go to the market or Sugarcube* Corner for some food. Which one?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Sugarcube," Scootaloo said, wiggling her ears to clear them. Rainbow Dash rubbed Scootaloo's mane.

"Knew it. Once you finish waking up, we'll go."

Scootaloo slowly got off the bed. She stretched, extending her limbs just a bit to pop them. She was gonna miss being able to do that when she was older, but if it meant her wings healed right by then, it would be worth it. She wiggled her ears some more and yawned again, feeling refreshed and ready for crusading; In this case, ready for a day with Rainbow Dash.

She looked at the bed. Her aunts always said to make a bed after you slept in it.

As she was finishing with the bed, Rainbow Dash walked in.

Scootaloo's eyes picked up a flash of green from below. Then some light. Then a- "Rainbow Dash! Fireball!"

Scootaloo held on tight as Rainbow veered to the side. "Rarity?! What are you doing?!" A crowd of ponies started to gather thickly, watching the fireball that was held in magic with amazement.

Rarity was panting as her horn glowed. Rainbow Dash landed next to the straining Rarity. "What. Was. That?"

"New spells. Twilight. Just skimmed. Don't know what kind of Magic. Would help to know. Can't hold for much longer. Where?"

Scootaloo looked around, trying to see if there was a clear part in this large crowd "There! There's nopony near the bench!" Rarity wrenched her head towards the bench and released her spell. The fireball crashed against it and disappeared.

"Hey, Rarity, Rainbow Dash? Let's scram," Scootaloo suggested. Rainbow Dash took off, and Rarity followed.

A grey shadow came from above. Scootaloo went flying into a tree. The exhilaration of free flying was not worth the pain from the branch. She lay there, trying to get the pain to fade faster.

Scootaloo heard her named being called. She groaned. "Here."

"Oh, gosh, are you okay?" Rainbow Dash said as she flew over.

"Yeah. Pony hide. Gonna take more than a tree to hurt me. Ow." Rainbow Dash picked up Scootaloo and lowered her to the ground. She hunkered down and Scootaloo climbed up onto her back. "To Sugarcube Corner!"

"Ok, then. are you sure you're all right?"

"Yeah, Rainbow Dash."

"Darlings, I am so, so sorry for that."

"We know. Let's just get to Sugarcube Corner, ASAP," Rainbow Dash said.

They quickly made their way to Sugarcube corner, where they found Derpy trying to balance 3 books on her nose. One of her eyes glanced over them, and she let the books fall onto the table. Also inside was several of the others.

"OK, Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo said, sticking her chest forth. Rainbow gave a smile before yawning. She laid down and closed her eyes.

Scootaloo stood guard over her, listening in to Rarity, Zecora, and Derpy discussing magic stuff. She didn't pay much attention, mostly because she didn't know some of the terms that they were using. She tried to start a conversation with Big Mac, but he didn't give any responses more than 3 or 4 words long, so that got boring fast. She was going to start talking to Pinkie, but felt that she wouldn’t be able to keep up. She was surprised when Pinkie's mane slightly deflated after that unspoken thought.

"THERE YOU ARE, Twilight and Fluttershy!" Pinkie exclaimed, surprising the starting-to-fall-asleep Scootaloo.

"Applejack's been waiting since this morning, as have I, of course, but then again, I live here! Rarity and Zecora and Big Mac and Derpy and Rainbow Dash ran into each other earlier, and of course, Scootaloo goes where Dashie goes! You're late! And to your own meeting!"

Twilight just blinked after Pinkie spoke.

"Eyup."

"Ah was just told to wait here."

"Don't worry Twilight, we're not mad; you've nothing to fear." Zecora added.

"You coulda came sooner, Twi," Rainbow Dash said

"What scroll? What's going on Rainbow Dash?" Scootaloo asked.

Scootaloo turned towards her

"Oh, that. I found some spells in my sleep, so I sent Rarity a copy," Twilight answered. Derpy raised her hoof.

"Um, yes, Derpy?" Fluttershy said.

"Well, this is more science than magic," Derpy said as she held up a book with weird writing.

"Circles with circles within circles. Derpy, what language is that?" Twilight asked.

"Night Pony, I think. The Doc just said it was from the Stars. I learned how to read it!" She tilted her head with a grin.

Pinkie raised her hoof high into the air. It came off with a little *pop* and fell to the ground, which surprised Scootaloo. That chaos was a rare type of magic, even rarer to be born with it. Pinkie reattached her arm, and raised the other. Fluttershy gasped and turned. "Oh, sorry Pinkie. I forgot I was picking who spoke. You can. Um, speak now, that is."

"Can you do the teleport spell now?"

"Alright." Twilight floated the spell up to herself. She looked towards the door. "Ipsum Instantarium!" she shouted. The scroll disappeared in green fire, and dark smoke covered Twilight. Scootaloo was excited when smoke appeared. She didn't think that a spell would create so much smoke in the process. Red and blue crossed her vision as the smoke covered her.

Yeah, this girl is not gonna type a day's worth of sales just for Pinkie's section. All you gotta know is that she was left in charge and she didn't speak when Rainbow Dash entered because she felt a small doozie. Also, I added my own physics that may not be cannon to the world of TF2 or MLP. If you got a problem with typos or such, just say so! It will help me greatly.
