The world slowly came into focus again, showing that Jake was looking at a white tiled ceiling that could only be described as ‘clean’. He slowly tried to sit up when a feeling of stiffness made itself known in his back. He groaned in slight discomfort and put his paws on his back and pushed making a loud crack resonate through the room. He sighed and looked around seeing he was sitting on a hospital bed, like one he had sat on whenever he had to go to any sort of doctor. He also saw a pony with a nurses hat on her head, staring in slight fear at him and scampered out of the room. He frowned a bit at that and looked at himself somewhat off handedly. He didn’t have any bruises that he could see of anything wrong with him. “Thou seems to have a talent for knocking thyself out.” Said a voice making Jake jump and nearly fall over. He looked over to the door and saw Princess Luna. She had a smile of amusement on her face. “Yeah...it’s great.” He said standing up rolling his eyes, “So...where is this exactly? I remember falling down the steps out of my room. What happened?” “Thou are in the castle’s infirmary, thou had a nasty fall down the staircase.” Princess Luna said, she was wearing a similar crown to Celestia’s and a darker necklace. “Yeah...learned that what Celestia was talking about with my magic was True...” He said shaking his head, “Snapped my fingers and something changed, then I’m in pain. That’s how it’s been going the last few days.” “Pity. My sister wished for me to check on you on my way to my quarters.” Luna said shaking her head and then turned to leave. “She should be in the main hall. Talking to someone about...what ever they think is important enough to talk to her about.” Jake could hear a slight bit of annoyance in her voice. “Right...Thanks for checking on me. Which way to the main hall again? I have no clue how to get anywhere.” Jake said smiling sheepishly as Luna started to walk out. “Down the hall and to the left, find the large set of black wooden doors. You can’t miss them.” Luna said yawning a bit as she started to go into the more open air hall and fly out through a window and up to a tower across a small garden. Jake was able to watch for a minute before he shook his head walking out the small doorway. He walked down the long hallway until he came to a fork and went left, as Luna instructed him too. He kept walking until he saw what he first thought was a dead end, but as he looked up he saw it was really an oversized door. So high that it would have been a better wall and there could have been no way he could open it on his own. He stared at it for a minute before he crossed his arms starting to think of how to open the doors. He could have knocked, pushed on the bottom, ran into it until it opened, or find another way around. But he didn’t have to decide which of these options was the wisest when a bottom section of the door swung toward him, showing a much smaller door in the door as a few ponies walked out. He moved out of the way of the ponies who were in a heated debate over something, from what Jake could catch it was about the use of wood and overly expensive doors, He shrugged and walked through seeing Celestia sitting on a throne elevated on a small platform with stairs leading up to it. On the same platform was a darker and starry throne with a moon on the top. There was another spot where another throne could sit but it seemed like it was missing. Celestia had her eyes closed sighing as she said, “I’m sorry but I’m not taking any more meetings at this hour. Please come back later.” She had her magic lift up a glass of water and drink a bit of it looking quite tired. Jake stepped a little closer, “But...what about what Princess Luna said?” He asked sheepishly, Celestia opened her eyes and sighed with a smile. “Oh, it’s you. I was thinking it was another pony wanting to talk about prices of caramell rising...” She smiled a bit and made her hoof clap against the hard floor. Jake heard a door open and close. He saw a blur of something going past him as a small pony with a black coat stood in front of Celestia smiling. “Please get my friend here a comfortable chair. Have some guards help you bring it up here on the platform.” Celestia told the pony who nodded and raced out of the room nearly knocking Jake over. “Uh...Thanks. But you didn’t have to bother anyone.” Jake said as he walked a little closer and looked at the steps a little closer, seeing they were marble. It looked finely carved and he smiled, he had always like the little things. “Well we have much to talk about, and you’d get sore standing there all that time.” Celestia said waving off Jake’s concern as a few armored ponies came in with an arm chair. They moved seemingly in a fluid motion and moved quickly up the steps making Jake step quickly out of their way so he wasn’t ran over. They dropped the chair and bowed to the princess. Jake saw the armchair was seemingly over stuffed with what ever it was filled with. Celestia smiled and gave an small wave to the chair where Jake moved to it. He sat slowly down and was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t overly stuffed and very comfy. “So...” He said tapping his claws on the armrests, “Why did you want to talk to me? Is it about that talking letter thing?” Celestia smiled a bit and said “No, It’s not about the Party, it’s about the little bit of magic you did earlier this morning.” She chuckled a bit, “It wasn’t that hard to find where you did it. I imagine I could have felt it if I were in Ponyville.” “Ah...” He rubbed the back of his head, “That was not a welcome surprise...but I think I figured out how to do it...kind of.” He looked at his paw carefully, “Except it was totally random.” “Well it is pure Chaos magic, predictability isn’t a part of it’s nature.” Celestia said smiling a bit and rang a small bell next to her throne. “Usually it causes something funny to happen, chocolate rain, random explosions, things of the sort.” “Chocolate rain?” Jake asked then shook his head, “Never mind I’m not going to ask.” Jake reached up to rub his temples sighing, “This world is making less and less sense.” “I’ve been ruling Equestria for thousands of years with my sister, eventually you just accept magic as the answer for everything.” Celestia said with a smile as a pony with a tray on his back brought a teapot and cups to a small table he pulled up with magic between them so he could put the tray down. He poured two cups and bowed moving out of the room. “It’s...hard for some stuff to be explain, but worse things have been used.” Jake said with a side and scratched his ear a bit, “But...what about that party thing?” “That’s just a small party that I’ve arranged with a few of the royals...” She smiled abit and said, “It’s better to keep them in the know then let someone in the staff spread rumors, or let my nephew tell them...” “You mean that Prince?” Jake asked raising an eyebrow, “Seemed to think he was high on the hor-erm...hog.” He said with a quick fix to the phrase, he didn’t think it would have gone over well with the ponies around here. “Yes my...distant nephew, very...pompous.” Celestia said choosing her words carefully. “But enough of that...let’s talk about how to get you the proper clothes for the party.” Celestia smiled a little. “Clothes?” He looked at his thin and strange body, “Well...if you can make clothes for ponies...how hard could it be for me?” He grinned a bit as Celestia got up. “Well let’s go to one of my royal tailors...he’s sure to be able to get you something.” She smiled flapping her wings to lift herself up and down the stairs as Jake got up and stumbled on the steps not quite falling but coming close as he walked down. She smiled and walked out of the room through a more reasonably sized set of doors with Jake following looking around seeing a few ponies in different colors and having a wide array of symbols on their hind legs. He wasn’t paying attention when he bumped into one in front of him and stumbled. “Sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going.” He looked forward and smiled as kindly as he could with his new sharp teeth. The pony he had bumped into was a light pink color wearing a small tiara, he did notice that the pony had both a horn and wings. Just like the two Princesses. “Oh no, I’m sorry. My mind was wondering as well.” She smiled warmly and held out her hoof, “I am Princess Cadence, a pleasure to meet you.” “I’m Jake, nice to meet you.” He said smiling, shaking her hoof, finally happy to meet someone on somewhat good circumstances. He saw that Celestia was still walking down the hall and turning a corner, “I gotta make sure not to get lost, hope to see you again.” He smiled and gave a nod of goodbye as he tried to walk quickly down the hall. The young pink princess watched him looking puzzled by something. She looked at her hoof and said to herself, “One who’d rather...shine the light...that have it shine on them...” She smiled and started to walk down the hall again to visit her boyfriend, and future husband, Shining Armor. “It’s nice to see other’s that like to see Heaven’s Light...” Jake smiled as he turned a corner and saw that the ceiling was going down at slop with his foot already raised and moving forward quickly. He used his other foot to bounce himself backwards and land carefully. He looked down and saw more steps he had just narrowly avoided falling down and started walking down quickly as to catch up with Celestia. She had stopped in front of a door and looked back as he soon caught up smiling. She opened the door with her magic and said, “You might want to be a bit careful, the royal tailor is a bit...different.” She stepped in and Jake followed and saw what she meant. Inside was a mess, or at least to Jake it was, every color of every fabric was flung everywhere with no end in sight. Eventually a pony's head popped up from the sea of fabric, the pony smiled with large and thick glasses making its eyes seem even bigger. The pony blinked and smiled hovering quite a few thing into the air with its horn. Some of which made Jake nervous. “Uh...Hi...why do you need a crowbar?” He asked nervously keeping an eye on the crowbar and not noticing Celestia was ever so slowly backing out of the room. Once she reached the doorway she smiled and said, “Incase you start wiggling too much.” She then slammed the door with her magic and a lock sounded from outside and Jake looked back seeing so many needles float up. “Now don’t move...I’m still waiting for my next prescription of glasses to come in so you are quite blurry...” The Pony said squinting, he was short and had a black coat with blue eyes. Jake’s mind raced for a second before it did what it thought was best. Adding the fear of needles to the aspect, the locked door, and a crowbar being floated around. Jake’s brain did what it thought was the most logical to avoid pain and any more trauma. Jake closed his eyes, and took a breath. Then, his brain shut down, making him fall backwards stiffly and pass out. Celestia opened the door again poking her head in laughing, the pony put down most of the needles and other things on a desk lifting off his glasses. He gave a small grin and said, “You were right Princess, he does scare easily.” The pony started to laugh loudly cleaning up most of the mess with a spell. “Just make sure he has a suit soon Tailor Made, he needs it for the small party coming.” Celestia said smiling as a sudden screech sounded throughout the castle followed by a loud stream of “Yes” over and over. “What in Equestria was that?” Celestia asked puzzled as Tailor Made smiled chuckling making Celestia look at him expectantly. “Well...Shining Armor came down here this morning, he asked how fast I could start fitting him and his Fiance for their wedding.” Tailor Made said. “But...they aren’t engaged.” Celestia said, then blinked smiling, “That sly fox...Well you make to give your best for them, and it’s paid for by an anonymous friend.” “Of course Princess, it will be my pleasure.” He said bowing a little starting to measure Jake all over with tape, even the gap between his nostrils. Celestia smiled as he started to work and left the hall closing the door. “I better go make sure they aren’t doing anything in the royal apartments.” Celestia said to herself chuckling before muttering, “Without me knowing that is...”
