The Animal Friends' New Home!

SONIC X: FRIENDSHIP IS UNIVERSAL

Episode 17:

The Animal Friends’ new home!

Chris was sleeping soundly in his bed, as the sun began to slowly rise up and shine its light through his bedroom window. He slowly opened his eyes and got up, stretching and yawning.

“Man that was one crazy dream…” He said, “And here I thought we’d have to deal with a hundred animals and ponies living with us…”

“Uh, I wouldn’t be so sure about that Nii-chan.” Kat’s nonchalant sounding voice rang up from the door.

“Huh?” Chris suddenly became fully awake from the sound of his sister’s voice. And then, when he looked around his room. Surprise! Small anthropomorphic animals sleeping everywhere, plus Kat standing by the door in her pajamas with a stoic expression and a small mobian pigeon sleeping on her head.

At that moment, Chris realized, “It wasn’t a dream!?”

“Nope…” Kat said still acting nonchalant.

Chris’ eyes opened wide, his pupils shrunk in horror and out came a scream, “IT WASN’T A DREAM!!!”

His scream was so loud it was heard by everyone in the mansion and Chuck’s workshop, waking them up from their sleep.

“Ugh, so loud…” Sonic, who was sleeping on the roof, groaned half-asleep as he sat up and stretched his arms out.

“Man, and here I was having an awesome dream!” Rainbow, who was sleeping on her cloud high above the mansion, complained as she got up on her hooves and stretched her back and wings.

Soon…

While “swimming“ through the “sea” of Animal Friends, the Sonic Heroes, Mane Party, the Thorndyke Family and servants somehow managed to do all their morning routine: take a shower, get dressed and then go down to the dining room for breakfast. However, because of the increased number of “guests”, Ella had to get help from Tanaka, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Pinkie, Fluttershy and LT in order to get breakfast ready for everyone. Also assisting Ella and the others were the three newcomers from Equestria.

The first one was a zebra with strong cyan eyes, light gray and dark persian bluish gray coat, mane and tail, Indigoish black hooves and brilliant amber colored jewelry, including a pair of large earrings and dzilla neck rings, and her cutie mark was a gray stylized spiral sun.

The second one was an elderly female earth pony, with light lime green coat, light grey mane and tail, both of them tied back into a bun and light brilliant orange eyes. She wore an orange handkerchief with apples and white trim, and finally, her cutie mark was an apple pie.

The third and final one was a large brilliant amaranth earth pony stallion, with brilliant orange mane and cropped tail, moderate sap green eyes, light yellowish gray hooves and freckles. He wore a work horse collar around his neck and finally his cutie mark was a big green apple sliced in half.

“I should have seen this coming.” Ella sighted as she wiped the sweat off her forehead with her arm, “With so many guests you keep bringing, I would have worked myself down to exhaustion without all of your help.”

“And now that we have Miss Zecora, Mrs. Smith and Master Macintosh helping us out, this should make things a little easier.” Mr. Tanaka said as he bowed before the three of them, “I, Tanaka, appreciate your assistance.”

“Aw shucks, it was nothin’!” The elderly female pony, known as “Granny Smith” said, “Since y’all were kind enough to give us a roof to sleep under, we’re all happy to help out, ain’t that right Big Mac?”

“Eeyup!” The large pony with the work horse collar, known as “Big Macintosh”, said in agreement.

“Your gratitude is unnecessary, for our gratitude is more necessary.” The zebra known by the name of “Zecora” said in rhymes, “For had Twilight and friends not come to our rescue, we would still be in need of rescue.”

“No problem everyone!” Pinkie said, “Plus, with this many guest, plus you three, we’re going to have even more fun with bigger parties!”

“Pinkie, I hate being a party pooper as much as the next person…or pony or mobian, whichever, but I’m pretty sure having THIS many guests is going to be a big problem for us in the future.” Ella said.

“Why?” Pinkie asked in confusion.

“It’s true that we live in a mansion, and the Thorndyke family is rich, but that doesn’t mean we have enough money to support THIS many guests to last a life time!” Ella explained, “Why, before you know it, we’ll be out of both money and food just to support them in no time!”

“Indeed.” Tanaka said in agreement, “We don’t know when you’ll be able to return to your worlds, and until then, you all need a place to stay. But I am afraid all of you won’t be able to live here once we’re out of money or food to support all of you.”

Pinkie gasped in shock, “Oh gosh! You’re right! I didn’t consider that possibility at all! I’m so terribly sorry!” she bowed apologetically.

“It’s alright Pinkie, we know how much you love to party and I agree that the more guests the merrier.” Ella said, “Still, we should gather everyone and talk about how to solve this issue.”

“I shall go inform Masters Chris, Kat and Chuck.” Mr. Tanaka said as he left the kitchen.

“In the meantime, let’s wrap things up around here and serve their breakfasts, shall we?” Ella asked.

“You got it!” Amy, Cream, Cheese, Pinkie, Fluttershy and LT said in unison. Granny Smith, Big Mac and Zecora agreed to help out as well.

After breakfast…

The Sonic Heroes, the Mane Party, the CMC, the Thorndyke siblings, Chuck, Ella, Tanaka, Celestia, Luna, Czar, Granny Smith, Big Mac and Zecora and ALL of the mobian animal friends were gathered at entrance hall. The Thorndykes and their servants, along with the Princesses and the Skylord all stood at the top of the stairway as they looked down at the otherworldly guests, who looked up to them.

Chuck stepped forward and spoke up first, “Our friends from both Mobius and Equestria, I’m sure some of you are wondering why we asked Chris and Kat to gather you all here. Well, that’s because: each and every one of you were caught in some strange space-time phenomenon and ended up here in our world. Some of you were captured, while others fought to survive in this strange, unknown world, until you all eventually were rescued and brought here at our mansion. Sure, we don’t care if you’re different from us, you’re all our guests and we welcome you with open arms. However, the thing is…”

“…there’s just WAY too many of you!” Skylord Czar said.

“Exactly, thank you your highness.” Chuck said, as Skylord Czar nodded and allowed him to continue, “While it is true that the Thorndykes are millionaires, that doesn’t mean we have enough money to last a life time, nor do we have enough to support you all until the day you can return to your respective worlds.”

The mobians and equestrians chattered as they looked at each other with concern. It’s true that there’s a lot of them and that money doesn’t last forever. They were all worried, wondering what’s going to happen to them now.

“Does this mean we’re getting kicked out?” One mouse asked in worry, causing all the animal friends to scream in a panic.

“You guys!” Tails tried to call their attention.

“Everyone, listen! Nobody’s getting kicked out!” Kat tried assured them.

“We don’t wanna end up on the streets in this scary unknown world!” a duck cried in a panic.

“Strays! Hobos! Eating from the garbage cans!” a cat cried in a panic.

“None of that is going to happen!” Chris tried assure them.

“Scabies! We could catch scabies!” a raccoon cried in a panic.

“We were actually thinking of moving you guys to…” Celestia tried to reason with them.

“Or fleas! I hate fleas!” a dog cried in a panic, “They suck all the blood out of ya! Ya hear me!? They SUCK all the BLOOD out of you!!!”

The animal friends continued to panic, as the heroes try to reason with them and calm them down, but fail. Celestia looked at Luna with a look of approval, to which the Princess of the Night nodded in agreement, as she took a deep breath and…

SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILEEEEEEEEEENCE!!!” Luna yelled with a loud booming voice that echoed throughout the entire mansion, and could even be heard from outside. This action caught the heroes by surprised and silenced the animal friends, as they finally stopped panicking and looked at her.

“W-W-What the heck!?” Amy said in shock.

“Wow...” Sonic simply said.

“Whoa!” Chris and Kat exclaimed in amazement.

Luna cleared her throat as she continued on with the same tone, “PEOPLE OF MOBIUS! NONE OF YOU ARE GETTING KICKED OUT! WE ARE SIMPLY GOING TO MOVE YOU ALL TO A NEW PLACE THAT WILL SERVE AS YOUR NEW HOME FOR AS LONG AS YOU REMAIN IN THIS WORLD, SO PLEASE DO NOT PANIC AND ACTUALLY LISTEN TO WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY BEFORE YOU JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS!” her tone was loud and clear. Maybe a bit too loud as some had to cover their ears.

“A new home?” one squirrel asked.

“That right you guys.” Pocky said, “We may have three Chaos Emeralds and Two Elements of Harmony, but we still have no idea where the rest of them might be, and because of that, we have no clue when we’ll be able to return to our respective worlds.”

“So until then, we’ll have to get used to living in this world and actually try and fit in with the humans for the time being.” Picky said.

“But where are we going to live, if we can’t stay in this mansion?” one turtle asked.

“Well, we’ve decided that Pocky and the others are going to keep living here along with Sonic and his friends, and the Equestrians are staying as well.” Chuck said, “As for the rest of you, we’ve decided to build you all a new home, here on Earth.”

“Sonic and Rainbow Dash already found the perfect place where the new home will be built during one of their travels. Now, we just need both the money, materials, magic and as well as Burrower’s assistance in build your new home.” Czar said, “This is a job that can only be accomplished if we all work together, so we ask for your cooperation as well.”

“What do you say? Are you in?” Chuck asked.

The animal friends looked at each other and the looked at the heroes and nodded, “Yeah, we’re in! Count us in! Let’s do it!” they all said in agreement.

“Great! Then let’s go!” Chuck said.

Soon…

We cut to a large open field, not too far away from the mansion. Chuck had placed the blueprints for the animal friends new home on display. It was shown to be a large 10 story tall mansion with bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, dining rooms, living rooms and other optional facilities that can be added if they get enough materials, but for now they will just simply focus on the necessities. Chuck, along with Tails, Twilight and Spike explained the details to the others about the plans and what everyone’s roles are:

Sonic, Rainbow, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Cream, Cheese, Rarity, Spike, Hawkeem and Zecora were in charge of gathering materials.

Tails, Twilight, Spike, Derpy, the CMC, Chris, Kat, Chuck, Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Czar, Ella, Tanaka and Granny Smith would be in charge of the construction and overseeing its progress.

LT, Applejack, Shining Armor, Burrower and Big Macintosh would be in charge of the heavy lifting.

And finally Pocky, Picky, Flicky and all the other animal friends were divided and assigned to each of the three teams and figure out a balance between teammates.

The Material Gathering Team were given a list of all the materials they will need to help the construction, and a wagon to help carry them back, before they set out to search for them. Once they were off, Burrower used its digging and excavation powers to dig up a big hole that matches the wideness and the deepness shown on the blueprint, forming the basement. Next, the Construction Team, with the aid of the Heavy Lifting Team used the tools and materials they already had from Chuck’s workshop and started working on the construction of the new mansion, starting with the basement.

With the Material Gathering Team…

With Sonic leading the group, they arrived at one part of a forest that seemed like a good place to be gathering materials as they scattered around the place and got to work. Rainbow and Fluttershy gathered wood and branches, Pinkie and Hawkeem gathered rocks, Rarity and Spike gathered buried gems, Cream, Cheese and Zecora gathered flowers and other plants, and Sonic acted alone as he raced around looking for materials and checking on everyone’s progress. The Animal Friends that joined them split into groups as the searched around the place for materials.

While running around, Sonic spotted someone near the lake, as he stopped on his tracks in order to get a better look.

He saw an 11-year-old girl on a wheelchair. She had blond hair and aqua colored eyes, and she was wearing a short-sleeved white shirt with a pink stripe on both sleeves, and a lime green bow below the collar. Over that, she wore a deep pink vest, which was buttoned by a pink button. She was also wearing a short pink skirt with a darker pink stripe all the way around it near the bottom. On her feet, she wore white and pink sneakers with no laces, gray soles, and no socks.

The girl kept pulling her wheelchair’s lever to move, but couldn’t due the wheels being stuck in the mud. Seeing the distress in the girl’s face due to being unable to move her wheelchair out of the mud, Sonic decided to go and help her out.

“Here, let me help!” Sonic said, as he grabbed the wheelchair’s handles and gently pushed the wheelchair out of the mud, much to the girl’s surprise and relief.

“Thank you.” The girl said as she turned her head and gasped in surprise to see Sonic, “Wait a minute! Aren’t you Sonic the Hedgehog?”

“You know about me?” Sonic asked.

“Yes! You’re the one who saved the world from Dr. Eggman alongside Rainbow Dash and all your friends, right?” the girl asked.

“Yeah, that’s right.” Sonic said, then suddenly recognized who the girl was, “Hold on, I remember seeing you before! You’re from the same school as Chris and Kat, aren’t you?”

“Yes! I’m also from the same class as Chris!” the girl said with a smile, “My name is Helen, by the way!”

“Pleasure to meet you, Helen!” Sonic said with a smile, “So what are you doing all the way out here?”

Helen pointed towards the lake, the blue hedgehog looked at the direction she was pointing and saw a small island right in the middle of it.

“I came all this way here to see that island.” Helen explained, “I come here quite often to see it.”

“That island?” Sonic asked as he and Helen watched it together, as he leaned his elbow on the wheelchair’s handle, “What’s so special about it?”

“Papa told me that there are some small pretty white flowers on that island.” Helen explained, “He once promised me that he would take me there so we could see them together…but…”

Sonic looked at Helen and saw her expression turning sad, “Papa is always busy with his work. And because of that, he had to constantly put our promise on hold.”

“Grown-ups…they always have an excuse to keep themselves busy, am I right?” Sonic said with a grin.

“But in Papa’s case, he’s always keeping himself busy for my sake.” Helen said, causing Sonic’s grin to disappear, “He’s trying to raise money in order to help me with my…”

Helen looked down at her legs and Sonic instantly knew what she was referring to. The blue blur could tell that this girl really wanted to go to that island and see the flowers, but her condition prevented her from doing so on her own, and her father was busy trying to raise money to help her get better.

“Do you really want to go to that island?” Sonic asked.

“I do, but…” Helen said.

“Then I’ll take you there myself!” Sonic declared, causing the girl to gasp and look at him in surprise.

“You’ll…actually take me there?” Helen asked, “I…don’t want to trouble you or anything.”

“Don’t worry, it’s no trouble at all!” Sonic said with a grin and thumbs up, but then he remembered his task, “Oh, but I can’t do it today, I’ve got my own thing to take care of and it’s going to take a while to finish.”

“Oh…” Helen looked a bit sad, but understood.

“But how does next week sound?” Sonic asked, causing Helen to look at him in surprise, “Are you available next week?”

“Yes!” Helen said as she reached out her hand to him, while pointing her pinky finger, “Pinky promise?”

Sonic grinned as he crossed his pinky finger with Helen’s, “Cross my heart, hope to fly and stick a cupcake in my eye!” he said.

“Huh?” Helen asked confused.

“It’s the “Pinkie Promise” quote that one of my new pony pals taught me.” Sonic said, “And it’s a promise I intend to keep no matter what.”

Helen giggled, “They must be really wonderful friends huh?”

“They are.” Sonic said, “Anyway, let’s meet again here next week!”

“Yeah!” Helen said in excitement.

With their “Pinkie Promise” sealed, Sonic and Helen said their good byes to each other as the blue hedgehog raced off to continue his search for more materials. Helen took one last look at the island before she left for home on her wheelchair, while holding on to that promise to heart.

As Sonic made his way back he quickly checked on the others: Zecora gathered some plants, with Cream and Cheese’s help, as they both marveled at all the specimens that Earth had to offer, “Plants like these, I’ve never seen before. Studying them, will be anything but a chore.”

“I know right? I’d love to make more flower crowns for my friends!” Cream said, “I hope you look forward to it Zecora-san!”

“Chao!” Cheese said in agreement.

“I look forward to it, my rabbit friend, for I too am eager to be your friend.” Zecora said with a smile.

“Must she always speak in rhymes?” one rooster asked his dog friend, who just shrugged it off.

Meanwhile, Pinkie and Hawkeem gathered rocks, while Rarity and Spike were digging for gems.

“I must say, I never expected this area to be rich with buried gems! Decorating the animal friends’ new home will be so much fun!” Rarity said.

“Yeah, but we also need normal rocks and grind them into cement to make the house more durable.” Hawkeem said, “Lucky thing we have an ex-rock farmer to help us with that.”

“Hey, when you live in a rock farm for the majority of your fillyhood, this stuff kind of becomes common knowledge!” Pinkie said with a small grin of pride.

“A…rock farm?” one canary asked in confusion, while the others just shrugged it off despite being just as confused.

“I’ll explain later.” Pinkie told them.

“I wish I could eat all of these gems up…” Spike said, drooling in hunger.

“Now, now, darling, remember, these gems for helping build the Animal Friends’ new home.” Rarity reminded him, “But I promise to save a few just for you to nibble on.”

“Okay.” Spike said as he continued digging up more gems.

And finally Rainbow was chopping down the toughest looking branches from each tree, using and axe and her speed-based strength, while Fluttershy nervously watched from a safe distance while gathering up the chopped down branches to one spot, with some help from the animal friends.

“Heads-up!” Rainbow shouted as she flew towards the next branch and swung the axe down on the branch with all her might, only for it to suddenly get stuck, “What the!?” she gawked in confusion as she tried to pull the axe out, but to no avail.

“What’s wrong Rainbow?” Fluttershy asked in concern.

“The axe is stuck and it won’t come off!” Rainbow shouted as she struggled to pull the axe out.

“Need some help?” Sonic offered.

“Naw, I’ve got this, but you guys better stand back.” Rainbow said as she flew up high into the skies at full speed.

“Oh dear…” Fluttershy said, “Everyone! Take cover!”

Sonic and Fluttershy escorted all the nearby animal friends away from the tree where Rainbow got her axe stuck to. Meanwhile, Rainbow flew all the way up until she reached about as high as the nearby mountains, she locked on to the branch where the axe was stuck and flew down at supersonic speeds, until she broke the sound barrier, creating a rainbow colored sonic boom. At blinding speeds, she flew down until she made impact on the axe, pushing it all the way down until sliced the branch clean off the tree, as she landed on the ground with extreme force, creating a small crater on it, the branch landed next to her.

“OOOOOOOOH YEEEEEEAH! Take that you stupid branch!” Rainbow shouted in triumph, as she taunted the branch, “Thought you could outsmart THE Rainbow Dash, did ya? Yeah, didn’t think so!”

“Um, Rainbow? Are you…talking to the broken branch, that can’t talk back?” Fluttershy asked, causing Rainbow to freeze up for a moment and looked nervously to see both her, Sonic and everyone else looking at her with deadpan expressions.

“Uh, maybe? But that’s between me and the branch.” Rainbow said nervously, “The important thing is, I’ve got both the axe out and cut down the branch at the same time.”

“Yeah, sure…” Sonic said sarcastically.

“I…guess so?” Fluttershy said unsure.

A sweat dropped rolled down the side of their heads, one on each

“So, can we PLEASE forget about the whole talking to broken branches part?” Rainbow asked pleading.

“Nope! Nuh uh! Certainly not! Not happening!” the others said.

“Aw come on guys!” Rainbow whined.

“Rainbow Dash, no self-respecting hero would be caught dead talking to inanimate objects, like broken branches!” Hawkeem of all people scolded her.

“Especially NOT after resorting into drastic measures for something so simple to solve!” Rarity scolded as well.

“Seriously, you wouldn’t catch me dead talking to, oh I don’t know, broken Eggman robot parts.” Sonic said ironically.

“…” Rainbow’s face turned red of total embarrassment as there was no way they were going to let her live this down.

“Rainbow, next time, use a saw!” Pinkie said as she handed her a saw.

“Fine…” Rainbow said, taking the saw, while still feeling embarrassed.

Meanwhile, Helen was on her way back home, when she heard a loud explosion from nearby. She looked back and saw the rainbow-colored sonic boom ring in the sky, followed by a rainbow trail leading down towards the forest that remained in the sky until they vanished. She gasped in surprise by this, realizing that must have been Rainbow Dash, realizing that she was in the area along with Sonic. She smiled knowing that she at least got to personally meet one of the two heroes and hoped for a chance to meet the other one someday, as she continued on her way home.

Back with the Material Gathering Team, they continued on gathering materials until the wagon was completely full and there wasn’t enough space for the spare ones. They decided that they got enough for now, as the team pulled the wagon back to the construction site with all of their loot.

Meanwhile, with the Construction and Heavy Lifting teams…

The Construction team were divided into two groups: one was in charge of building, while the other would supervise and give out instructions. The Heavy Lifting Team, as their name suggested, helped carry the heavy equipment and materials.

For ordinary people, this would have taken ages to complete, but with everyone’s diligence and the Equestrian’s magic, they have managed to complete the basement, complete with a boiler room, a washing room and a storage room, in less than an hour, as they started working on the first floor of the new home, which would include the entrance hall, the living room, the siting room, the dining room, the tea room, the pantry and the kitchen.

“Wow, at this rate, we should have the whole thing complete in a week!” Chuck said.

“Hopefully nothing bad happens until then.” Chris said.

“Don’t jinx us Nii-chan!” Kat said, playfully slapping him on the shoulder.

“Ow.” Chris said as he rubbed his shoulder, “Gotcha.”

“We may not look that reliable on our own, but we Animal Friends can get anything done as long as we all work together!” Pocky told them.

“But that rotten Eggman, he somehow manages to kidnap us all and stuff us inside those horrible machines of his.” Picky said, “It’s a good thing we have Sonic and his friends to free us by smashing the robots to bits.”

“That’s awful, kidnapping small innocent critters and turning them into his robot slaves.” Twilight said, “How did he become such a terrible monster I wonder?”

“Yeah, why is he doing these awful things?” Chris asked.

“Try asking Sonic when he comes back, he can give you a better explanation.” Pocky said.

“Alright.” Chris said.

“And according to Twilight, Steam is trying use the Elements for a project that Celestia had cancelled?” Kat asked.

“That’s right.” Twilight said as she looked at Celestia, who was helping with the construction along with Luna and Czar, “She said it could bring ruin to all of existence, but I don’t see exactly how it could possibly be that catastrophic. She hasn’t given us the full details of that project…”

“Have you tried asking her?” Kat asked.

“Well, a lot has happened and I didn’t get the chance to do so…but maybe we should way for the material team to come back.” Twilight said.

“Fair enough.” Kat said, “These past few weeks, have been really crazy.”

“You can say that again.” Chris said.

“These past few week, have been pretty crazy.” Kat repeated with a naughty grin.

“I knew you were going to do that.” Chris sighed in exasperation as he face-palmed.

A sweat drop rolled down the side of his head

Kat just replies by sticking her tongue out in a teasing manner.

“Okay break time’s over, let’s get back to work.” Chuck said.

They nodded as they continued on with their work. There are still things they don’t know yet, such as the details of Steam’s project, why Celestia tried to stop it and there was also the full story from both the Sonic Heroes and the Mane Party, but all in due time. For now, they worked on the first floor of the building.

At around the same time, they heard the sound of an explosion in the sky as they saw the Sonic Rainboom ring created by Rainbow Dash breaking the sound barrier. At first they wondered what the heck that was all about, before they returned to work, but Twilight was not happy knowing that Rainbow was without a doubt doing something reckless. She was going to give her a big scolding as soon as she got back.

Time passed and the first floor was completed just as the Material Gathering Team returned with their wagon full of stuff, while some of them carrying materials with their own hands. Before they could start working on the second floor however, Twilight gave Rainbow an ear full, scolding her for acting reckless and using the Sonic Rainboom for something that was easy to solve without resorting to such drastic measures. Rainbow was forced to submit and apologize to everyone for her stupid stunt, because one good look at the others made her realize no one was going to defend her, not even Sonic, nor the Thorndyke siblings. Scotalloo looked like she wanted to defend her, but decided to stay quiet, when her fellow crusaders gave her the glare. She swore she’d never do that again and actually ask others for help instead. The others forgave her as they continued on with their work, but warned her that next time they won’t be as forgiving since it was lucky that her Sonic Rainboom did not cause any serious damage.

Later that evening…

After a long day of hard work, our heroes and the Animal Friends have succeeded in building the mansion up to three floors. They still had a long way to go, but at least they managed to include bedrooms and despite being incomplete, it was now ready to habitation. They didn’t have beds, but the extra pillows and blankets from the Thorndyke Mansion were enough for the first Animal Friends who were going to live there to sleep in. All in all, our heroes managed to accomplish their mission for today and decided to continue their work tomorrow as they decided to give the first group of a tour around the first three floors and the basement. The plants and the jewelry sure made place a lot more lively and comfortable, despite the lack of proper furniture. Once they were done, they left them to their own devices as they make themselves comfortable in their new home.

The heroes and the remaining animal friends returned to the Thorndyke Mansion to rest up for tomorrow. Sonic remembered the “Pinkie Promise” he made with Helen that he would take her to the island in the middle of the lake next week. He had to make sure not to forget it lest he’ll suffer Pinkie Pie’s wrath for breaking a “Pinkie Promise”.

Looking around, the mansion became less crowded since the first group of Animal Friends moved to their new home. There were still many of them, but at least it was less work for Ella, Tanaka and everyone who was in charge of the house work and cooking.

At dinner time, Granny Smith, Big Macintosh, as well and Applejack and Applebloom, helped with the cooking as they prepared a lot of Apple Pies and Apple Cider for tonight’s menu. Everyone dug in as they enjoyed this delicious apple dinner as a reward for today’s hard work.

Twilight realized that now that everyone was together, it was about time ask Celestia the one question she has been meaning to ask this whole time.

“Princess Celestia?” Twilight called.

“Yes, Twilight?” Celestia asked.

“I know that a lot has happened and we had a bunch of crazy stuff to deal with, even today, but I’ve been meaning to ask you something that has been plaguing my mind since our last adventure in Equestria.” Twilight said.

Celestia frowned, realizing what she meant, “You wish to know more about the “Eternal Peace Project” that Steam has been working on, correct?”

Everyone at the table paused and looked at Celestia in confusion and curiosity.

“That’s right, your highness.” Twilight said, “We know that Steam was once the Equestrian Kingdom’s royal scientist and that he’s been working on this project until you decided to pull the plug. So, what exactly is this project? And why did you decide to pull the plug on it?”

“Yeah! We never got the chance to know the truth because you were captured by Steam and his goons at the time and Princess Luna only gave us vague answers instead of the whole truth.” Spike said, “So…what is it about?” Spike asked.

Everyone looked at Celestia, waiting for her answer. The Sun Princess looked at her sister, who nodded in agreement, then she looked at Czar, who also gave the same look.

Celestia sighed as she looked at everyone gathered at the table: the Sonic Heroes, the Mane Party, the Thorndykes, everyone was looking at her, waiting for her answers.

“Very well, I shall tell you the whole truth…” Celestia said, as she began to explain her history with Steam and what the “Eternal Peace Project” is about…

To be continued…
