//------------------------------// // I Miss You // Story: I Miss You // by Positive Musical Brony //------------------------------// Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle, It's your friend and little brother, Spike, and I am writing this letter to you because I want you to know how I'm doing and I want to ask you a few things. First of all, where are you? You've been gone for a few weeks now, and I want to know when you'll be coming back home. Everypony is sad for some reason, but they won't tell me where you are or what's going on. It's probably because they think that I'm a 'baby dragon'. I don't know what it'll take to convince them that I'm not a baby dragon anymore, and that I can know what they can know. Will you please come home? I miss you. Second, I've been doing There was a knock at Spike's bedroom door. "Come in!" He said. Starlight walked in. "Hey Spike, are you alright?" She asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for asking!" "What are you doing?" "Oh, I'm writing a letter to Twilight. She hasn't responded to the last few I sent. Hopefully she responds to this one." "Spike, has anypony told you why Twilight isn't here?" Starlight asked curiously. "No, but I'm guessing it's because she's on a mission or she's doing something for the Princess." Starlight sighed. "Spike, can you sit down on your bed with me real quick? I want to talk to you." "Sure." They sat down on the bed together. "Spike, the reason Twilight has been gone is..." Starlight didn't know exactly how to put the news. Realizing she couldn't put it any other way, her eyes started to water. "The reason Twilight is gone is because... she... died." There was now a stream of tears from each eye. It took a second for Spike to let what Starlight said sink in. "So, that's why everypony is sad?" He asked. "Yes. It's been hard for everypony to face. Even the princesses." Spike's eyes started to water. "Starlight, could you please leave? I would like to be alone for a little bit." "Are you sure?" "Yes." Spike said, his voice cracking. "Alright. Come get me if you need anything." "Alright." When the door closed, Spike went back over to the desk. Twilight, Starlight told me what happened. Please tell me it's not true! You're not really gone, are you? Please tell me it's a prank. Or that you went off on a journey. Tell me anything. Please. From, Spike Spike then sent the letter. He paced around his room all night, hoping for a letter to come. During the night, he could hear Starlight sobbing, probably in her room. He hoped she was crying about something else. A few days go by, and Spike still doesn't get a reply. Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle, A few nights ago, I heard Starlight crying, probably sobbing if I could hear her from my room. I want to believe that you're still alive. Please tell me that you're still alive. Please come home and stop this pain you're causing everypony. I cannot sleep or dream without knowing if you're alright. Please reply. From, Spike Spike was pacing around his room again that night waiting for a letter from Twilight, when he had an idea. "Princess Celestia!" he exclaimed. "If anypony knows if Twilight is alive, it'll be her." Dear Princess Celestia, First, I would like to say that I'm sorry that I'm am sending you a letter this late at night. It's just that Starlight said the reason Twilight hasn't come back home is because she died. I don't think she's gone. Maybe she just went on a mission for you. If anypony knows if Twilight is gone, it will be you. Please reply as soon as you can. From, Spike. A few minutes later, Spike burped out a letter. He eagerly took off the ribbon and read the letter. Dear Spike, First, I would like to apologize for the tear drops on the parchment. As much as I would like to say she is still with us, unfortunately, Twilight is not. She died in a magical accident. It has been hard for everypony to come to terms with this. I couldn't imagine how hard this must be for you, considering you saw her as an older sister. I'm so sorry you have to experience this. If you need anything, please send a letter my way. From, Princess Celestia. Spike looked up from the paper. His eyes started to water. He put the letter on his desk, put out the candle, and laid down on his bed. He didn't fall asleep, he just cried. All night. In the morning, Starlight came out of her bedroom, and walked towards Spike's to wake him up for breakfast. As she walked, she heard Spike crying. She knocked on Spike's bedroom door. "Spike, are you alright?" She asked. "She's gone, Starlight." He said, crying. She walked in. "Spike, I know what you're feeling." She said sitting down next to him. "Everypony is upset, especially our friends. But we'll get through this, alright?" Spike nodded his head. "Okay." "Do you want pancakes?" "Yes please." A few weeks later... Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle, The past few weeks have been hard for me. It's been hard for everypony to get over the fact that you're gone. Starlight and the rest of our friends have been trying to help me get through this. They're saying that one way to help move on is to stop writing these letters to you. So this'll be the last one, unfortunately. But if you're up in Heaven watching me, than these letters are probably useless. Before I stop writing, I want to say a few things. I'm sorry for all the things I've done to hurt you. I regret the mean things I have thought and said about you. I forgive you and the rest for leaving me out on your quests. I would do anything if it means I get to spend one last day with you, even if it meant giving away every gem I find. I think I speak for everypony when I say this, but even though you're gone from our lives, you won't be gone from our hearts. Hopefully, we meet up later in life. You were the best sister/friend anypony could have. We miss you, Twilight. I miss you, Twilight. Love, your little brother, Spike.
