Chapter 13: FBI and Actors

The long halls of the building were uneasy for the trio. The woman, Agent Beck, led them down the hallway, with other agents following them.

"Now, we don't have any current cells here," Beck said. "So we'll have to lock you in one of the rooms with some of the men keeping watch."

"Will we have beds?" Chrysalis asked.

"You'll have to sleep on the floor until we get a mattress. It may not matter anyway. We're going to be testing you three 24/7. After all, you're not from here. And you three are different creatures! We need to learn."

"B-but-but Leo told us that there were already creatures like me out there. THEY just don't have magic like I do!" Cozy whimpered.

"EXACTLY! Child or not, a talking horse with wings and the ability to move clouds is SOMETHING we need to study."

"For what?" asked Tirek.

"For better knowledge of the world beyond ours!"

"You DO realize that if you perform any dangerous studies on us, you won't get the chance to study us more!" Chrysalis said.

"Perhaps..." A grin spread on the Beck's face. "But alive or not, we would learn about where you came from."

"And how do you propose we do that?!" Tirek asked. "Our magic has been locked by another pony from our world, and you can't physically remove magic! Why can't you just go after the pony who restrained our magic or mind-controlled those policemen? Are you aware that that pony has helpers that are doing this to conquer the world?!?! We weren't even aware of that until we were taken!!!!"

Beck stopped walking, so everyone else did too. She turned and faced the former villains.

"Oh, trust me. We WILL find a way. If there are more than one of you, we WILL find them. And maybe even use you as BAIT! Plus, I don't care if your magic is locked. All I need is proof! Something like lie-detector machines will do nicely! We will just need to set up a cozy interrogation room. The FBI force will make sure you try NO shenanigans! But where to get a lie-"

Suddenly, a POOF was heard and Beck turned around. There, she saw a very peculiar device on the floor. She walked over and picked it up.

"A lie detector machine? How..."

"Trust me!" Tirek exclaimed. "None of us did that! In fact, we should thank whoever brought that machine here! Now you have proof, and now you can let us go!"

Beck turned back around.

"Just because this appeared out of nowhere doesn't mean I'm satisfied. And if you keep acting like that, we would be happy to encourage you not to! Now, we should be close to the test room. When we enter, I will contact other agents, along with some guards."

Meanwhile...

The location I chose was behind the community center that was located 25 minutes away from my home town. It was large, so I doubted anyone would find us here. After I communicated with the people I knew I'd need the help of, all I had to do now was wait.

And soon enough, I saw two cars park, and Eddie and Dave both got out of their respective cars.

"You wanted to see us?" Eddie asked.

"Yes..." I nodded. "It's very important. And you're probably going to think I'm crazy. But please... just bear with me."

"O-Okay?" Dave stuttered.

I took a deep breath.

"So... yesterday... I found these creatures in my shed. Not just any creatures. Cartoon creatures from that show I used to be a fan of. Well... they got taken, and I need some help to get them back."

My friends blinked, and I already knew that this was a bad idea.

"I'm sorry... w-what?..." Eddie squeaked.

I nodded.

"Um... dude..." Dave put a hand on my shoulder. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine! Argh! I knew you would think I was crazy! Alright, hold on, hold on... Luster! Luster!!"

"This is crazy..." Eddie mumbled.

Eddie and Dave prepared to leave, but then...

"Hello?"

They paused and turned around. And that's when they saw her on the energy ball that appeared in front of me... Luster Dawn!

"Oookay?... How are you doing that?" Dave asked.

"I'm not!" I exclaimed. "This is real... watch!"

Luster, through the energy-orb, lit her horn, and some decently-sized rocks started floating up behind them. They turned around, and it was clear that they were speechless.

"Bu-wha-how-"

"Magic..." I smugly smiled.

"This is a dream... wake me up, Eddie..." Dave wailed.

"No guys... listen, listen... This is real. And I said it before, and I'll say it again... I need your help."

"And I said this before, and I'll say it again... this is crazy!" Eddie shrieked.

"I know it is, but... guys... we're friends. We never knew each other through childhood, but we still have each other's backs!"

Dave crossed his arms. "Since when?..."

"Since... um... well..."

"Leo, buddy..." Eddie started. "I don't know what's going on, if I'm dreaming, or if this even is real. But if this means that I can end whatever craziness I'm seeing, then... I guess I'll help."

"Me too..." Dave muttered, unsure.

"Wow, I convinced you guys that quick? That was easy... So, Luster, what do we do?"

"I've managed to track down their location... they're at some sort of interrogation building in... Quantaci, Virginia."

"Quan- but... that's so far away!" Eddie exclaimed. "Forget that..."

"No, no, no... I can make it easy!" Luster insisted. "As long as you three get in one of your... vehicles... I can teleport you to that place. I need an image of it, though so I can have an idea on what to do."

"Already on it... let's see... hmmm... lemme see..." I held up my phone. "Let's try this."

"That may be it!" Luster beamed.

"Alright guys, we'll get in my truck, and we'll get this show on the road!" I proclaimed.

"I can't believe I'm agreeing to this..." Dave huffed.

We all got into the truck, and Luster got ready to teleport us. Whatever happens next, I just hope that the former villains were holding out okay while waiting for us.
