Sunny Skies, along with his friends left Hope Hollow to get help during Hearth’s Warming. They went in groups to go to different locations. They may have the whole day, but they still need to make some memories and return to Hope Hollow by nightfall.
Sunny Skies and Petunia Petals made their way to Ponyville to find somepony who would be worthy to help. “So Sunny, what are we going to find?” Petunia asked.
The mayor didn’t answer. He kelp looking around in Ponyville to find the perfect pony. He wanted to make every pony happy in his village to the best of his authority. Then his memory from the last Rainbow Festival came back. He remembered there was some hope when the guest of honor, along with her friends arrived.
“Rainbow Dash!” Sunny shouted while Petunia token a back.
“You mean the same pony when she saved our village?” She asked.
“Yes. I know I didn’t give her the support when I gave her the invitation but I know how much she loves getting support. Not to mention she might be able to like the activities we do in our village.”
Petunia agrees with Sunny and the fact that she also hoped that Rainbow Dash would save their land. “You’re right.” She smiled. For the next few minutes they continue to walk in Ponyville to find the alethic pony. Luckily, they saw her after she came out of Twilight’s castle which causes them to rush up to the Element Of Loyalty.
“Rainbow Dash!” Sunny called while this get’s Rainbow‘s attention.
“Mayor Skies? Petunia?” Rainbow replied. “What are you doing here?”
“This isn’t an emergency like last time, but we still need your help.” Petunia said.
“We’re going to throw a celebration in our village but the weather always gets in the way. Is it okay that you help us?” Sunny offered.
Unfortunately Rainbow Dash had other plans when it comes to today. “Guys, I would help but I’m going to Twilight’s castle tonight for a Hearth’s Warming party.” Just when she’s about to leave, Sunny and Petunia block her way.
“Please, you’re our only hope to make our memories come back.” Sunny getting on his hooves. “We will repay you back!”
Rainbow became more confused. “What memories are you talking about?”
“We had moments during our times in this holiday before our village changed forever. And after you and your friends saved our village, we can do other things like doing more celebrations then the Rainbow Festival.” Petunia explained.
“Me and my guests expressed our memories back at Hope Hollow and later, we agreed to make our celebration bring back up all our past memories of Hearth’s Warming. So we left and try to get some help and...your the only ones who can make our memories come back to light.” Sunny finished.
The athletic pony didn’t know what to say about Sunny and Petunia’s goal. She of course did have memories involving the holiday, but not little like the citizens in Hope Hollow. “You...really want to do the celebration?” She asked to which Sunny and Petunia nodded. “What do you want me to do?”
“We still don’t know yet, but we promise we will give you support when everything is set up.” Petunia replied.
Rainbow Dash only went to a few parties involving Hearth’s Warming in the last couple years. While most of them involved Pinkie Pie running it, she did go to the one at Cloudsdale when she finally became a Wonderbolt. She found the party different from the other ones and she liked it for that reason. She remembers getting pranked from her friends when she opened their gifts that had a torn bear just to scare her. She knew she had to get them back which was the point of the party.
“What support are you talking about?” Rainbow asked.
“Something we should’ve done when you arrived last time. Giving you the chance to see what we do.”
“I know we did that when you saved the festival but this celebration will make you understand.” Sunny added.
Rainbow did found Hope Hollow a really good place once it regained its colors. She didn’t have a lot of time to see how the citizens do for a living.
“Okay, I’ll remind Twilight that I’m going to miss the party and I’ll help you.” Rainbow smiled.
Both Sunny and Petunia are thrilled as they give Rainbow a hug. “Thank you so much, we promise you won’t regret it!”
“The only thing I’m regretting from doing this is seeing Pinkie Pie upset.”
“What’s the big deal, she’ll understand.” Petunia recalled until Rainbow made an awkward look.
“Trust me, you do not want to know how she feels about me skipping her parties.”
After Rainbow told Twilight about her change of plans, the Princess Of Friendship understood and decide to spread the word to her friends. She along with Sunny and Petunia went to Hope Hollow where she saw some pegasi are up in the sky. Kerfuffle and the others did what they could to find ponies who are available this time of year.
“So what’s going on right now?” Rainbow asked as she saw more ponies shoveling the whole field.
“We told Torque to tell ponies to get a big tree and place it in the center of the village.” Sunny replied.
“What about the ponies in the sky?”
“They’re trying to clear up the sky from the snow clouds.” Petunia added.
“Wow, you really spend a long time with preparations before I came here.”
When Rainbow and others walk up to where the citizens are at, she notice Barley and Pickle Barrel playing in the snow. “Hey, it’s Rainbow Dash!” Barley reacted as she and her brother rush up to Rainbow.
“It’s great to see you two dudes again.” Rainbow smiled.
“I know, I can’t wait for the celebration tonight!” Pickle cheered.
“That’s right. After the ponies work together to get one big tree, we’re going to place it in the center, put decorations on and tonight, we’re going to turn on the lights so our memories will come back.” Petunia said.
“We are going to do other things like wearing costumes to show our passion for the holidays.” Sunny added.
Rainbow Dash didn’t know what to expect from the citizens of Hope Hollow. The fact they’re trying to make the possibility of making Hearth’s Warming come outside instead of remaining inside. After taking some time on what the mayor wants her to do, she figures out how to make their memories even better than before.
“Mayor Skies, I’ll be right back!” She left the village while leaving the mayor and others confused, but it’s not going to stop them from making their dreams come true.
The sunsets over the mountains of Hope Hollow as the citizens manage to place the tree up in the center. Kerfuffle along with her friends made tons of outfits for the fillies to wear for this occasion. However she only made ten in such a short amount of time since she only started when she returned from her trip.
Mr. and Mrs. Hoofington checked their list of everything the Holiday celebration needs. So far everypony in the village are outside from their homes, the costumes despite the lack of quantity are ready and of course, the tree that’s still needs to be decorated.
“Mayor Skies.” Mr. Hoofington walking up to the mayor who’s waiting for Rainbow Dash. “Are you sure the weather is fine?”
“Not sure, they told me they did what they could to move the clouds away from our village.” Sunny replied.
Mrs. Hoofington looked at the sky. While it’s pitch black, she still sees a few small but snowy clouds. “Doesn’t look like they cleared everything, I see more and more clouds coming together.”
“You’re right. What are we going to do?” Torque asked. The ponies of Hope Hollow don’t have any option due to the weather still storming in their way. Then finally Rainbow Dash returned with a big box she’s carrying.
“Rainbow Dash, what took you so long?” Mayor Skies asked.
“Sorry, I had to find this box from my house in Cloudsdale.” Rainbow placed the box on the ground and opened it. Inside it’s revealed tons of ornaments and lights. “After you told me you don’t have a lot of decorations, I knew you needed some more.”
“Thanks Rainbow, but we still have other problems.” Torque said. “The weather won’t stop snowing no matter what we do.”
This gave Rainbow a grin on convince. When she went to Cloudsdale, she wasn’t just getting decorations. Her, along with other Wonderbolts know how to clear the sky in any weather situation, more or less.
“Don’t worry, I also brought some company.”
“What kind of company?” Petunia blinked.
Then they heard a noise that soon got louder and louder, from the distance. It’s revealed that Spitfire and the Wonderbolts arrived which caught the attention of the citizens. The Wonderbolts split up and cleared the sky from every angle to stop snowing. The mayor along with the citizens are shocked and impressed to see every cloud cleared off thanks to a group of talented flyers. The Wonderbolts land on the ground along with a great reception from the ponies.
“The Wonderbolts!” Rainbow giving her friends an epic introduction.
“OH MY GOSH!!!” Both Pickle and Barley shouted in excitement. “IT’S THE WONDERBOLTS!!!”
This made Spitfire jumped when she heard the two fillies reaction. “Rainbow, you didn’t tell me their fanclub was this thrilled!”
“Then you probably didn’t see Scootaloo’s fanclub about me.” Rainbow replied.
“I will say Rainbow, thank you for having your friends help us out.” Petunia smiled. “We didn’t think you would do something like this.”
“Hey, it’s my way of helping any village who needs my help. Speaking of which,” Rainbow took out several ornaments and handed them to the Wonderbolts. “Wonderbolts, Let’s decorate the tree!”
As the Wonderbolts put the decorations on the tree one by one, Rainbow Dash took out the string of lights. She flew around the tree to wrap the string of lights. In a matter of a minute, Rainbow and her friends are done decorating the one and only tree the citizens are using.
The mayor along with his citizens are amazed from the sight of their tree. A variety of ornaments are, of course, all the colors of the rainbow, glowing from the lights that Rainbow had since she was a filly. Even for Rainbow, she still loved her decorations since the first day her parents decorate their house.
“Wooow…” Both Pickle and Barley replied.
Mayor Sunny Skies manage to do something his father never did. Over the years during the grey times, Hearth’s Warming reminded the same until this year. He may have gotten some help from the guest of honor of the Rainbow Festival, but if he continues this idea, later in the years, his and other citizens Hearth’s Warming will get better and better.
“Rainbow Dash.” Sunny called while Rainbow land in front of him. “Thank you for helping everypony in this village, Including me. I never knew Hearth’s Warming was this wonderful.”
“Hey, after years of spreading cheer, it’s actually a miracle for all of you.” Rainbow replied. “If I lived here, I would probably feel the same thing.”
“You’re not wrong.” Kerfuffle chimed in. “Our hopes are so important, we worked together to make our hopes come true.”
“And also sharing what we love about this holiday, will make this village better outside during the winter.” Torque added.
Petunia then came up with an idea, an idea that the mayor should do for every future Hearth’s Warming in the later years. “I think we should call this tree, the Tree Of Hope where all our hopes in this holiday come from this tree.” She stared at the tree.
Mayor Skies found Petunia’s idea interesting. It may take some community changes but he will try to work it out somehow. Afterwards, the citizens went back inside their houses while the tree of hope’s lights are still outside. Mayor Skies offered Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts to have a dinner feast in their house as their reward. The athletic pony along with her friends accepted the offer since they enjoyed feasts during this holiday. Hope Hollow had never been the same since the Rainbow Generator got repaired. Holidays like their Rainbow Festival and Hearth’s Warming will improve in the later years as long as they make their hopes come into play so they can keep up on the spirit of the holidays.
