// Story: The Ghost of Cozy Glow

I am so sick and tired of being known as the relative of Cozy Glow! I mean I know she's turned to stone but come on, leave me alone!

I didn't have anything to do with what Cozy Glow did. And yet, I still get teased. It's bad enough I get teased for being half human and half Pegasus. But I don't need this whole Cozy Glow mess.

I think it's time I do something about this.

It's midnight and as I stand in front of the stone statue of Cozy Glow, Queen Chrysalis and Tarek, I hatch a plan. 

"Well it was nice knowing yeah Cozy Glow," I say to myself "but you have got to go!"

Being lost in my thoughts, I forgot I had brought a sledgehammer with me to destroy the statue. 

'If only they would leave me alone!' I thought, 'If only there was another way, but this statue has to go…'

The first swing I took felt good but it only made a dent in the statue. I took another swing and this time I felt the impact from the hit. Every swing I took felt better than the first one. And I kept swinging until the statue was reduced to nothing but dust and rubble.

As the statue was reduced to dust rubble I noticed blood on the ground where the statue was. I shrugged and thought nothing of it and turned around and left.

When I got home I was covered in rubble from the statue. I quickly changed clothes and jumped into bed. I then heard a soft knock at the door. It was mom. 

"Betty," said mom. "are you okay?"

Mom nudged herself into the room. She knows that I go out late at night but she doesn't know what I do. This time I just had to destroy that statue, I just had to.

"Had another late night run?" asked Mom

"Yes." I said

"Okay…" said Mom and she left the room.

A few hours later, my alarm clock went off.

I remember having a very bad dream about Cozy Glow. She was chasing after me and taunting me saying things like I'll never get a cutie mark like the kids say at school. 

I groaned and sat up. It was going to be another long day.

"Hey Huma-sus!" said a voice

It was a colt name Marble Sprint. He played Buck Ball for our home team and was the most popular colt in school. His ex-girlfriend Sandy Shadow was super jealous of any filly he dated. 

"Hey Marble," I growled, "don't you have to go run somewhere? No pun intended."

I heard laughter surround me has Marble blushed. Just then, Head mare Starlight Glimmer walked past and heard the chatter. 

"Alright kids," said Starlight, "break it up! You and Marble to my office now!"
Marble and I both rolled our eyes as we headed towards the Head mare's Office.

Head mare Starlight Glimmer sat at her desk, frowning at us. 

"What's this I hear about you two bullying each other?" asked Head mare.

"It's nothing…" I said.

"Bullying isn't nothing Betty." said Starlight, "I take this very seriously and I wouldn't expect that coming from you Marble."

"Hey who told you that I was the one doing the bullying?" asked Marble.

"That," said Starlight, "is none of your concern! If I hear of you bullying Betty again, you will lose your spot on the Buck Ball team okay Marble?" 

"Okay…" said Marble rolling his eyes.

"Don't roll your eyes at me, I mean it Marble!" said Starlight.

"Yes Ma'am!" said Marble.

"That is all," said Starlight, "you can go now."

I sighed and hung my head, something tells me that things are about to get worse.

 Well things did get worse as I had imagined. Marble's teasing and taunting got worse but Headmare Starlight Glimmer was not notified of it yet. I finally had enough, so later that day after school I put together a plan and Suicide was the name of the game. 

That night I went to go take a bath and I looked at my reflection and for some reason it started talking back. 

"You sure you want to do this?" asked my reflection.

"Yes I'm sure," I said, "I'm tired of the bullying and teasing at school. I'm done with it."

"You know if you do this," said my reflection, "you leave the system." 

"Good," I said, "what's the point of being reincarnated if the teasing and bullying continues?"

"Okay…" my reflection with tears in its eyes "I'll miss you…"

So after the bathwater filled, I sat in the tub going back and forth about my decision. Then finally, I took the razer slit my wrists and waited for death.

What is "The System"? The System is a place where the dead souls of Humans go, and since I'm half human, The System wouldn't know where to put me. Should I be in with the Equestrians when I die? Or should I be in with Humans?

I think I did actually die, either that or I was dreaming. I woke up lying on the ground to a voice.

"Come on…" said the voice, "you're going to be late!"

I looked around to see where the voice was coming from but I didn't see who the owner of the voice was. As the voice beckoned me to run, I ran but I didn't know to where I was running to. Finally, I ended up in front of a huge computer! I didn't know what to think, but the computer turned on and had eyes like Human eyes and a mouth too. 

It was terrifying as the computer looked down at me and grinned. 

"So nice to see you Betty," said Computer, "but you're early, not late." 

The Computer paused and then went berserk. 

"Does not compute!" said Computer. 

Then the Computer turned red and I woke up.

 I'm assuming my mother was the one who found me in the bathtub because she was sitting beside my bed at Ponyville Hospital. There were tears in my Mom's eyes. 

"What happened?" I said.

"You want to talk about it?" said mom.

I looked down at my wrists and sighed. 

"I've been getting bullied again," I said.

"That's what I thought," said mom, "you know you can talk to me about anything right?"

"Well…" I said, "I'm tired of getting teased about being Cozy Glow's relative!"

When the words left my mouth, they came out as though a weight was lifted off my chest. 

"And who is bullying you?" said mom.

"Marble Sprint…" I said.

Mom smiled at me and had a twinkle in her eye suddenly. 

"Awe," said Mom "that's adorable!"

"What!" I said "What do you mean that's adorable?" 

"It means he likes you duh!" said mom. 

"Ugh," I said, "I don't like him! Why would I even go out with a jerk like that?"

"Let me tell you something," said mom.

"What?" I said.

"Your dad was the first to make fun of me because he thought that I was so funny looking being a Human and all." said mom. "And I was one of the first ones that ever worked with a pony! So, naturally, I thought he was funny looking too!" 

"But Marble calls me Huma-sus!" I said, "What kind of a pet name is that?" 

"Awe!" said Mom "That's even more cute!"

"No it's not!" I screamed "I hate that guy! I wish he was dead too!"

"Calm down, calm down, " said mom patting me on the shoulder "I'll talk to Marbles Parents in the morning, you need to rest." 

Then mom got up to leave, when she left, she was leaving me with my own thoughts.

That night in the hospital room by myself. I walked to the bathroom and saw my reflection. But it wasn't my reflection necessary that I saw, it was Cozy Glow. Cozy Glow smiled at me with her taunting smile. 

"Hi neighbor!" said Cozy Glow, "Want to be friends?"
