BACK ON EARTH
“Ughhhh, where are we?” groaned Snarl.
“Ow, my head...did we just enter through a portal or something?” asked Swoop.
“Yeah...I think we did.” replied Slag as he looked around him.
“What is this place?” Swoop asked as he too beheld his surroundings. As the three Dinobots noticed the trees surrounding them, there was a large plant monster that saw the three metal creatures who were ten times its size and roared at them. The Dinobots looked down and saw the plant creature hissing at them.
“Whoa, what is that thing?” Snarl asked.
“It looks like a plant creature of some sort.” Swoop replied. “We must’ve disturbed its peace.”
“Can we talk to it or something?” Slag asked. “It looks a little cute.”
“I guess we can give it a try. It’ll probably tell us where we are.” Swoop said. Swoop lowered himself down to reach the level of the plant creature. “Hey there, little fella. Can you tell us where we are?”
The creature again hissed at him out of fear. Swoop was taken back by its response. He then realized it was fearful of their large presence. “This creature is afraid of us. We need to maintain a friendly demeanor toward it to make a good impression.” Swoop advised.
“Good idea, Swoop!” Snarl commended.
“Hey, listen, where’re not here to hurt you, ok? We just need to know where we are. I’m sorry if we disturbed you.” Swoop calmly spoke.
The creature then relaxed and stopped hissing at them. It came closer and cuddled itself around Swoop’s right leg while purring. Swoop smiled at the creature’s warm acceptance. “Thanks for the love. Now, can you tell us?” he asked.
The plant creature then spoke its own language. It made roar and growl-like mutters that neither Snarl nor Slag understood except Swoop. He understood clearly what the creature was communicating as evidenced by his nods and saying ‘mmm-hmmm’s.
After it finished talking with Swoop, the creature licked Swoop’s face as a sign of an affectionate goodbye and crawled away from their area to rest again in his territory. Swoop stood up and faced his companions.
“She told me that we are in a planet called earth and that we are currently on in island belonging to the Atlantic Ocean.” Swoop reported.
“Wait, it’s a female?” Slag asked, tilting his head in confusion. “And you understood what it said?”
“Yes, she is. Also, I’ve been communicating with creatures on Cybertron for years. That’s my special ability. Anyway, she also said that this is where another creature who looks like us first arrived. She couldn’t talk to him because of his aggressive attitude and massive size. That has to be Grimlock!” Swoop finished.
“So that’s why we couldn’t find him in the Everfree Forest or Canterlot!” Slag said in full realization.
“Yeah, it makes perfect sense now! We got to find him and bring him back! Who knows what will happen to Grimlock if we don’t search for him sooner?” Snarl said.
“You’re right, Snarl! There’s no time to waste! Come on, boys!” Swoop ordered. The Dinobots went throughout the whole island until they arrived at the seashore. They noticed how extensive the ocean was and how they need to find land somewhere.
“Hmmm, the two of you would have to swim across this ocean. You think you can manage that, guys?” Swoop asked.
“I’ll be all right.” Slag answered.
“Nah, I’ll be fine. I love swimming.” Snarl replied.
“All right then. Dinobots, swim out!” Swoop commanded as he transformed into pterodactyl and flew ahead of them.
Snarl and Slag transformed to stegosaurus and triceratops respectively, dived into the water, and swam across the ocean in search for land and Grimlock.
