They emerged on the hill overlooking a field. They could see the villains, looming over a huddle of ponies. Princess Twilight and her friends.
"Not one step further." Chrysalis hissed "Or the dragon gets it." she lifted up Spike in her magic.
"Spike!!!" the CMCs, Gabby, Ember, Thorax, and Sunburst shouted. Chrysalis began pulling at his wings with her magic, snarling.
"Stop! We'll surrender, just don't hurt him!" Princess Twilight shouted, she and her friends backing away from the villains to show they were telling the truth.
"Good choice." Cozy Glow sneered, as Chrysalis tossed Spike to the ground. He skidded as he hit the ground, landing at the mare's hooves. Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy pulled him out of harm's way.
"Now, prepare to face your doom." Tirek's horns glowed with magic, as did Chrysalis' and Cozy's. Princess Twilight held out her forelegs, and the six of them joined hooves, closing their eyes, waiting for the blast.
"No." Tempest breathed, then turned. "Unicorns, now!" she cried
Every single Unicorn lit up their horns. Tempest let sparks fly from her own, murmuring an incantation under her breath, determined to help. The flying creatures rose into the air, looking down in determination. A clear shield surrounded the six mares. They looked up in surprise.
"What?!" Tirek bellowed
The mares looked up to see the crowd of allies on the hill. The Unicorns worked together to lift the ponies to safety, as Tempest sent a blast of blue sparks into the air.
"Attack!!" she yelled, and they ran/flew to the villains, attacking them at Tempest's command.
"Tempest?" Twilight asked as the bubble dropped "What are you all doing here?"
"It was us." Sandbar said, stepping forward.
"We used what you taught us to unite our species, and convince them to help." Smolder said
"Sorry more Gryphons didn't show. I could only convince Gilda and Gabby." Gallus apologized
"It's okay Gallus, I'm just happy that I managed to teach you all enough to convince them." Twilight said
"It doesn't look like that's the case Gallus." Fluttershy pointed at a cloud of Gryphons who appeared in the distance and joined the fight.
"It wasn't just us Princess. We convinced our kingdoms, but the Cutie Mark Crusaders united Equestria." Ocellus told them
"Well, what are we waiting for. You united them all. But we can stop the villains, together." Twilight said, as Rarity, Rainbow, and Applejack congratulated their sisters for bringing everypony together.
"Enough!"
Changelings, Wonderbolts, Hippogriffs, and Gryphons hit the ground, groaning. Earth Ponies were tossed aside, and Unicorns ran to help the other creatures.
"Did you really think a few measly ponies and creatures were enough to stop us?" Cozy laughed. Princess Twilight stepped forward and flew into the air.
"Don't you get it? it's not the fact that they were unable to stop you, it's that they tried. And they tried together. As friends. Proving that even in the dark, there are always ponies who search for the light."
"The Elements are gone! You have no means of defeating us!" Chrysalis snarled
"Yes we do. No matter how many times the elements have changed bearers, their previous owners have remained just as Honest, Kind, Loyal, Laughing, Generous, and Magical as before." Princess Twilight said "And even though they're gone, the spirits of the Elements live on in us all, not just the previous bearers."
Princess Twilight began to glow, her friends were magically lifted into the air, followed by Sandbar, Gallus, Smolder, Ocellus, Yona, and Silverstream. Six ponies appeared out of nowhere. The Pillars of Equestria. Together they were all aligned in groups behind Princess Twilight
"And no matter how hard villains may fight, we will always believe that..." the crowd of creatures below them looked up in amazement as they saw it.
"Friendship Is Magic!" the floating creatures yelled, and the blasts of rainbow light shot from them, one from each group. it wound around the three villains, knocking them to the ground. The ponies landed, Twilight lifting a bell from them.
"I'll take that. Discord, if you please." she held it out, and the being of Chaos took the bell. In an instant Starlight Glimmer appeared, followed by Princesses Celestia and Luna.
"Thank you, Discord." Princess Celestia said, nodding to him, then turning to see the creatures before her.
"Good job, all of you." Princess Celestia said, and they smiled. Princesses Celestia and Luna turned to deal with the villains.
"Hey guys." Spitfire turned around to see Rainbow flying up to them. "You all okay?"
"We're fine. Few hurt wings but nothing serious." Spitfire replied, the other Wonderbolts coming up to them.
"Would you really have let them blast you?" Blaze asked
"Honestly, I was a little scared about possibly dying, but as long as I went down with a bang, and with my friends, it wasn't that bad." Rainbow replied
"Your sister's really cool, she united all the Pegasi." Misty Fly added
"Of course she's cool, she's my sister." Rainbow smirked, and they rolled their eyes.
"You know, since Princess Twilight is your friend, if you want to help me and Soar design the performance for her coronation, you could." Spitfire suggested.
"Really? That would be aweso-"
"Hey, Dash." the Gryphon from before said, coming up to them.
"Hey Gilda." Rainbow said, turning to look at her. "You need something?"
"Not really, just wanted to talk to you, it's been a while."
"Sure." Rainbow turned back. "You guys mind?"
"It's okay, go ahead." Spitfire assured her. "We can talk about the performance later."
"How do you know a Gryphon anyway?" Blaze asked
"Gilda and I met in Flight School." Rainbow answered "C'mon Gil, you need to do a few things."
"Like what?" Gilda asked
"Apologize to Fluttershy, remember what happened last time she met you?" Rainbow reminded her
"Oh, yeah. Probably should say sorry for scaring her." the two of them headed off.
"Flim, Flam? What're ya'll doin' here?" Applejack asked
"Saying...that we're sorry. For everything. We thought that maybe saving your life was a good apology." Flim responded
"Well, I guess it's okay. So long as ya promise to stick to legal businesses." Applejack sighed
"We promise." the two said earnestly, and Applejack could tell they meant it.
Fluttershy was being held tightly by Discord.
"Discord, I've been wanting to say this for a long time...I...I...I like you." Fluttershy said
"Fluttershy, I like you too, but...but I'm just...you deserve somepony who hasn't made so many mistakes." Discord sighed
"But I want you. Please Discord, you've been alone since the day I met you, and now...you wouldn't have to be." Fluttershy murmured
"Alright. But let's save the kiss for when we're alone, alright?" Discord asked, and Fluttershy nodded, blushing.
"Minuette!"
"Pinkie Pie!" the two friends hugged.
"How's Ponyville?"
"Amazing. You know, Lyra just got engaged."
"Really?! To who?!"
"Bon Bon, I'm in charge of the wedding!"
"Congrats! Imma go find the others and tell them the good news!"
"See ya!"
"Yes, I was considering opening boutiques for other species. How would you feel about starting in Mount Aries?" Rarity asked a few Hippogiffs.
"We'll bring it up with Queen Novo." Silverstream's father replied.
Tempest looked around at all the creatures interacting and talking comfortably, despite their differences. Hippogriffs were playing with the Changelings, Gryphons and Dragons were testing the range of each other's roars. Unicorns were comparing magical abilities with the Kirin. Yaks and Earth Ponies were talking about their relative strength, Pegasi were flying alongside both Dragons and Gryphons.
"Something tells me this is going to be the beginning of a whole new Equestria." Tempest murmured, smiling at them with pride.
