Part 1: A Better Way To Be Bad

Cozy Glow was working on a special banner that wants it to shout “Teamwork”. When Evox saw, he was shocked.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING, COZY?!” Evox wanted to know.

Cozy just jumped in surprise. “Aah! Master Evox! I’m just making a teamwork banner!” The snake just seethed. “Nothing says "teamwork" like an inspirational banner. When Grogar sees this, he'll realize there's no way he could survive without me!”

Evox was brash, but nonetheless, he was dealing with it really well. “I see you’re really smart for a little filly, even for a pony!” Evox took a good look at the banner, and actually smiled. “I am rather impressed, Cozy Glow.” He said to her.

The chess filly blushed. “Aw shucks. It’s nothing.” She replied.

“It’s actually something!” The snake hissed to her both proud and evilly at the same time. “I think you might be too smart for this just being a comrade.” He hissed in a loud, tremendous mood, “I decided that you should be put in charge of this mission, Cozy!...or should I say General Cozy?”

Cozy was shocked. “G-General Cozy?”

“Yes, Cozy.” Evox replied. “You’re the only one around here who truly understands.” He handed her a parchment filled with the latest schematics of his newest plan. “Find the others, and tell them about this plan! There is no way you can screw this up!”

“Oh, Golly yes, Evox!” The filly happily announced. “I won’t let you down!” She flew off to find the other members of her “team”.

When she got there, she saw Tirek already trying to be more strong by lifting weights. She thought this would be a good place to start being general. She got to him. “You're gonna have to exercise a lot to get as big as you were when you absorbed the life force of all those ponies.” she told the red, grumpy Minotaur. ”Anywho, Grogar wants us all to work together, so I've scheduled a team meeting. Doesn't that sound fun?” she beamed. “And since Grogar left me in charge...”

“No, he didn't.” the Minotaur cut her off.

“Someone's a real grumpy-taur today.” She giggled. “If we aren't meeting, I guess I could just stay and offer positive and inspiring—“

Tirek cut her off again. “Fine! I'll join your meeting. Just leave!”

“See you soon!” she said, and flew off to find Chrysalis, who meanwhile, was stressed altogether by not offering any plans, and she was already starting to explode.

“It's been weeks, and Grogar's done nothing! It's not healthy to hold on to all of this rage! I could lash out at any moment.” The ex-Queen started to snap.

Cozy came in all of a sudden. “And how are you doing this fine—?”

“How do you think I'm doing?! I'm ready to exact my revenge!” she shouted.

“Being cooped up with nothing to do is the worst!” Cozy warned her. “You know what you need? A team meeting!” She suggested.

“ I don't do meetings.” The bug queen sulked.

“Grogar left me in charge.” Cozy chimed.

“No, he didn't. And even if he did, Chrysalis obeys no one.” Chrysalis disagreed.

“There'll be cupcakes.” the filly said in a singsong tone.

Well, THAT got her attention.

Also, The avatar, known as Blaze was working on a new creation with Scrozzle, his robot minion. “Don’t talk BACK to me, Scrozzle!” The avatar retorted. “I said we have to work on a new gigadrone to defeat the rangers!”

“But this is not enough, Morph-X!” The robot warned. “We need enough of that to power up at LEAST some of our arsenal!”

“SILENCE!” Blaze commanded. “We’ve better have some more technology to build that drone! I don’t care that we are dangerously low on energy!”

Cozy then flew in. “Hiya, Blaze!” She said in glee. “Working on another giant robot to defeat those rangers?”

“I was working on that...alright what is it, Cozy?” The avatar grumbled.

“You’re going to need a lot of that energy to defeat those rangers and ponies.” She informed him. So, that’s why I called a team meeting! And since Grogar left ME in charge...”

“Now, THAT I believe.” Blaze agreed with the filly. “He thinks you’re too smart to be a comrade?”

“Yes, and he appointed me as general!” Cozy was excited. “Besides this meeting could give you the edge to defeat your enemies.”

“I’ll go!” Blaze complied. “I could use a motivational plan right about now.” He turned to Scrozzle. “You can take a break now, Scrozzle. I’m going to a villain meeting.” And with that, he and Cozy left to go find Roxy.

The two managed to find Roxy, who was trying to brew up a new plan. “Hey, Roxy!” Blaze gave her the heads-up. “We’ve got a meeting, and Cozy’s leading it.”

“But Cozy’s only a filly and she’s just a stooge!” Roxy started to object.

“Grogar DID put her in charge.” Blaze advised her.

“Then, I’m in!” She said.

They all started to head for the meeting. “I knew she’d go for it.” Blaze whispered to the chess filly.

“Hey, least I could do to help out.” Cozy agreed. “By the way, we villains got to stick together.”

Blaze couldn’t agree more.

As soon as they got there, every villain, save Evox and Grogar were all here for the meeting. Blaze made his announcement.

“I’m pretty sure you’re wondering why this meeting was called.”

“Not really,” Chrysalis said. “Since we haven’t been out in a couple of weeks, and we’re starting to lose our sanity! How do you think we can beat the elements and Rangers together?!”

“Well, the answer is quite simple.” Cozy told them. “Grogar wants us to work together to defeat our enemies. Which means we need to trust each other.”

Chrysalis, who was munching on a cupcake, gulped it down to voice her concern. “If we are to trust one another, perhaps inform Lord Tirek to stop trying to absorb my essence!”

Tirek was trying to absorb it, but when the bug queen saw, he spat it out on HIS cupcake. “I wasn't doing anything of the sort! How dare you!” He accused her.

“How dare I?! Do you know to whom you are speaking?” The bug pony retorted. She gulped her essence-infused cupcake.

“How could I not?” Tirek sarcastically asked her.

“Yeah,” Blaze said. “All Chrysalis does is talk to her log to pretend that one of her own kind is even there!” He pointed to the log, she was talking to. She just sulked.

Cozy Glow was getting frustrated. “This is why Grogar left me in charge.” she spoke lividly.

Tirek and Chrysalis both shouted to her. “NO! HE! DIDN'T!” in strong disagreement.

Blaze and Roxy both yelled at the two creatures, “Shut up! Shut up!! SHUT UP!!!” The two creatures were taken aback.

“Grogar really DID put her in charge because HE of all creatures thought she was too smart to be a comrade or a stooge!” Blaze spoke lividly. “She is somehow ten times smarter than the two of you combined!”

“Well, then if SHE’S so smart, what does SHE do?” Tirek sneered.

“What good is a little filly who’s put in charge if SHE can even tell us what to do?!” Chrysalis asked in disgust. Blaze gave them a look to stop this foolishness.

“What DO you do, Cozy that makes you the perfect general?” Blaze asked in curiousness.

“We’d like to know.” Roxy added.

“Well, I do know ONE thing.” The filly said. She got in front of Tirek, Chrysalis, Blaze and Roxy and began to sing.

Once she and the villains finished the song, Cozy got frustrated. “Hey YOU stepped on MY cue!” She objected.

“Well, I did not! You stepped on our cue!“ Chrysalis argued.

“Ah, your rhythm was way off!” Tirek objected.

“Oh, you think you're so cool just 'cause you're a queen!” Roxy retorted.

“Hey, KNOCK IT OFF!” Blaze shouted. “THIS FILLY HAS A PLAN!”

Just then, Grogar came in. “Enough! I had hoped by now you would've resolved your differences, but apparently not.” he roared.

“Perhaps if we knew what the plan was, we would be better able to prepare!” Chrysalis said.

“Assuming those dum-Dums even have a plan.” Blaze said, pointing to Chrysalis and Tirek.

“Of course I have a plan! I have located an object of power, and it occurs to me this is the perfect test.” Grogar said lividly “The five of you will work together to retrieve it. Against this item, those ponies and rangers won't stand a chance.”

“I have come close to ruling Equestria several times. Perhaps I should be the one to lead us.” Chrysalis boasted.

“I absorbed all the magic of Equestria! I could feel it flowing through my body as I grew!” Tirek boasted.

“I nearly drained all the magic from Equestria! That was good!” Cozy said.

“See?” Blaze objected to Grogar. “Even SHE has a plan! Master Evox has put her in charge of this mission, and he said to her and I quote that there is no way she can screw this up!” Well, THAT made the whole room silent. “And now, SHE can help us retrieve the rest of it!”

Everyone shouted in shock and surprise. “EVOX?!”

“We may have failed to defeat both heroic teams in the past,” Blaze said. “But you have only a fraction of your ultimate power!”

“BLAZE—!” Grogar started to object.

“He’s right.” Roxy said. “General Cozy should be the one to lead us, since she’s the only one who TRULY understands.”

Grogar started to object, but then gave in. “Now you five shall retrieve the rest of it.” He got out his orb, and revealed his backstory. “Thousands of moons ago, the self-righteous Gusty the Great, unable to best me face-to-face, stole my Bewitching Bell. A talisman containing much of my own magic. The Bell cannot be destroyed, so Gusty hid it in a place it has taken me millennia to discover – an enchanted cave high atop Mt. Everhoof, protected by magical winds that prevent anypony from reaching its peak. There, the Bell has remained until now.” he said to them. “Scale Mt. Everhoof. Bring me back my Bell.”

Chrysalis laughed, “The ease of this task is laughable.”

“Watch it, Chryssy!” Blaze said.

“ Well, we are going out right in the open,” Tirek said. “So getting Grogar’s bewitching bell should be no hard task.”

“Then what are you waiting for?!” Cozy said. “Let’s get that bell! Come on guys!” Blaze took a robotron creation key with him just in case.

“We’re ready Cozy.” He said to them. The others nodded in agreement.

“Then, TALLYHO, team of villains!” She shouted. And Blaze used his key to teleport them to Mt. Everhoof to retrieve Grogar’s bell! Cozy was going to be in charge of this mission, but getting the bell looked easier said than done.
