Epilogue

The princess of the night gazes at her creation, her hood up and body hidden. The dark shawl of the night makes it difficult to see, but Luna loves the dark. It keeps ponies from seeing her.

She drops her head, and walks on the grass silently until she walks into what she thinks was a tree. Until it spoke.

"Ah'm sarry, miss. Didn't mean tah bump inta ya. 'Tis mah fault."

"Our apologies, sir. We should have been watching where we were going. Forgive us."

"Uh, 'we'?"

"Um... I, I ment I."

"What's a mare like yerself doin out in da middle of da night? Shouldn't y'all be home?"

"I am an adult, and I shall return home when I see fit."

"Ah didn't mean ta offend ya. Sarry Miss...?"

"Luna."

"Miss Luna. Wait... y'all dont mean, like, Princess Luna, do ya?"

Luna tosses her head back to drop her hood. "I am she."

Big Macintosh bows immediately. "Princess! Ah'm real sarry!"

"It is fine, please stand." She said sadly. "It was nice to be talked to like a normal pony."

"Well, ya are a normal pony."

"Well geez, thanks..."

"Nope, Ah mean it. Yer a pony jus' like the rest of us. A very pretty pony too."

"A... pretty pony?"

"A pretty pony."

Luna looked at the simple red stallion before her, mouth open. No one ever spoke to her so casually. Quickly, looking him up and down, a shiver shot through her spine.
She is a tall pony compared to the rest, but he stood as tall as she and was built very strong.
He is a very handsome colt.

"Thank you... uh...?"

"Big Macintosh Apple. Y'all can call me Big Mac."

The moon was as bright as it has been in over a thousand years, and all of Equestria saw the true beauty of the night. Princess Celestia looks up at the perfect sky, knowing her dear sister has found him.
