Chapter 11: The Grand Galloping Gala! Part 1
Prince vs Prince
Vegeta and Rainbow flew at great speed towards the Grand Galloping Gala, but something is going through the Prince, 'I... like Rainbow, but I'm married dammit! How would Bulma feel if I met another woman, or pony!' Vegeta thought. He was broken from his concentration as he saw the castle coming up. He looked in awe at the sight, but thinks, 'It's not as big as the one back on Planet Vegeta...'
"WOW! This is so Awesome! Arnt, you excited Vegeta?!" Rainbow questioned as she looks to Vegeta.
"I guess..." Vegeta answered, not looking at the mare.
Shortly after, they arrived at the castle, the two saw lines of carriages, knowing they took the right choice in flying there. They landed at the front gate, which is guarded by two armored earth ponies in golden armor. Vegeta showed both his and Rainbow's ticket, the guards looked at it, inspecting it. They looked at each other and gave a nod, getting out of the way for the two to walk through.
Vegeta and Rainbow walked in to see an open room with a staircase in the middle, none other at the top is Princess Celestia, greeting other ponies that walked in. It didn't take long for her to notice the two walk into the castle hall. She started to sweat bullets when she saw the Prince, hoping nopony at the Gala doesn't piss Vegeta off.
"Oh... um... Hello Prince Vegeta!" Princess Celestia stammered, but Vegeta just walked right past her, not giving her a second glance. Rainbow frowned at the Prince's behavior, looking at Celestia to apologize.
"I'm so sorry Princess Celestia, Vegeta still isn't on the best of terms right now." Rainbow explained.
"In that case, everypony here at the Gala cannot piss Vegeta off." Celestia says, she looks to Rainbow, "Can you do that?"
"Loyal to your word!" Rainbow salutes, then flying off to find Vegeta. Celestia then turns back to the numerous groups of ponies walking in, greeting them as they passed. Shortly after, she sees a familiar group of 5 ponies walking in.
"Princess Celestia!" Twilight squeals, running past all the other ponies.
"Twilight! It's so lovely to see my star student." Princess Celestia greets.
"It's so exciting to be here, we have so much to catch up on!" Twilight explains.
"Well, I want you right by my side this entire evening, so then we can catch up." Princess Celestia offers.
Twilight zips to Celestia's side, eager to start talking. "That's what I was hoping for!" Twilight squeals.
Princess Celestia then remembered she was going to ask Twilight on Goku's condition, but was cut off by another group. 'This is going to take a while..." Celestia thought.
Vegeta walked into the main room and got stares from everypony in the room, he began to get agitated, "Don't you all have something better to do then look at me!" Vegeta shouted. This made everypony in the room go back to their conversations, but they started to talk about the Prince.
"What is that thing?" a Stallion asked.
"I heard it was the creature that came out of a portal during Nightmare Moon's return." a Mare responded.
"Oh yea, he was the one who helped the Elements of Harmony in beating Nightmare Moon!" The Stallion remembered. Vegeta kept walking around, getting asked questions. He either walked away, not giving a care at all, or he scowled them. He was about to walk out, nothing ever catching his attention, until he heard someone call him out.
"Prince Vegeta!"
Vegeta turned around to see a white unicorn stallion with long dirty-blond mane, it was none other than Prince Blueblood.
(Oh this is going to be good!)
"Who are you?" Vegeta questioned.
"I'm Prince Blueblood, nephew of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. I've heard about you." Prince Blueblood greeted.
"Oh, and what would another Prince want to do with me?" Vegeta sarcastically said, playing along with this stallion.
"I'd thought you would be like to know me?" Prince Blueblood explained. He got a small chuckle from Vegeta, "What's so funny?"
"Why would I want to listen to a Prince who is high of himself?" Vegeta insulted, shocking Blueblood.
"How dare you! I can have you taken out of here right now if I wanted!"
"I'd like to see you try," Vegeta said, looking to the shaken prince, grinning.
"I.. I don't have... time for you," Blueblood said, walking away quickly, this cheered Vegeta up immediately, he then felt a rumble from his stomach.
'I guess I didn't have anything before I left...' Vegeta thought as he went looking for food. He was about to go to the catering room, until...
"Howdy partner! You hungry?"
Vegeta turned around to see Applejack with a stand full of apples and other apple goodies. A stallion pegasus walked up to the stand, almost drooling over the goodies.
"As a horse!" He replied.
"Well, what you hankering for? Caramel Apple, Apple Pie, Apple Fritters, Apple Fries?" Applejack pointed out all the treated goods, Vegeta smelt the food halfway through the hall, almost drooling.
"I'll take that big Apple Pie!" the stallion pointed to the biggest Apple pie on the stand. Applejack smiled, handing out the teat to the eager pegasus, who dropped some bits into a bucket next to the stand.
"Thank you kindly, sir." Applejack thanked, "Yeehaw! In the first minute, I made my first sale, just like I expected."
"Well, you're about to make another." The Prince said, walking up to the stand, surprising the farm pony.
"Oh, hey Vegeta, you hungry?" Applejack questioned.
"Yea, how much for everything on the stand?" Vegeta asked, making the apple farmer's jaw drop to the ground.
"For... every... thing?" Applejack questioned, still shocked.
"Yes, how much is it all?" Vegeta asked again, sounding a bit irritated.
Applejack started to recomposer herself, adding all the numbers for the treats. "It'll be about 150 bits." Applejack explained.
Vegeta grabbed a small bag from his pocket, all of the bits Twilight gave him before they left. He dropped the bag into the bucket, then proceeding to grab everything in the cart. Walking away from a stunned Applejack.
