A door shaped outline appeared in the middle of a slightly forested area. The outline fills up with red and darker red intricate patterns and swirls. The door opens and Scootaloo jumps out. She is shortly followed by Mario and then Tippi soon after.

“Wow... this place looks weird... everything is flat!” Scootaloo pauses to look around. She looks at Tippi. “So where is the collectible again?” Scootaloo asks.

“It’s still far from here... I forgot to mention something. We have to find Merlon’s friend, Bestovius, to learn how to flip into 3D. We’d better go find him...” Tippi answers. Mario nods.

“Wait... we’re in 2D!? Woooooooah...” Scootaloo says.

“Yes?” Tippi answers. “Let’s go. Also if you want to know about things, just ask. I know many things...”

A small brown thing that looked sorta like a mushroom with legs walked up. Mario waved to it, but it ignored him!

“Well. that was rude.” Scootaloo said. Mario nodded. Tippi got a little closer to the thing.

“This is a goomba. They really put the ‘under’ in underlings. It has no remarkable traits. They have 1hp and 1atk. His eyes are really blank...” Tippi says. Mario nods and JUMPS on it! The goomba gets pushed off to the side, dazed. Mario nods and starts heading forward.

“Mario! What did you do to it!?” Scootaloo shouts after him. Mario turns back and explains.

“It seems it was not in its right mind... I guess Mario fixed it?” Tippi answered. Mario nodded.

“Okay, I was worried that you had hurt it or something. Let’s go!” Scootaloo says. She runs after Mario and Tippi follows. Shortly after, they come across a strange formation of floating blocks!

“What..?” Scootaloo asks. Mario jumps up and hits a yellow one with a question mark and a small round mushroom comes out! He jumps up onto the block formation and grabs the mushroom. Almost immediately after, a small pink floating heart appears with the number ten on it. “How did you do that!? Where did that heart come from!? Wow, Button Mash would geek out if he saw that!”

“There must be no question and brick blocks in Equus... you can hit the blocks and stuff might come out.” Tippi explains.

“Really? Cool.” Scootaloo says she jumps up and buzzes her wings to get onto the block. “Ok.” She says to herself. “Um... how do I do this...” she jumps up and stomps an a brick looking one. The brick block breaks and Scootaloo falls to the ground! “Ow.”
Mario hits the rest of the blocks and the three come across a small green pipe.

“What does this do?” Scootaloo asks.

“That’s a pipe. Sometimes they can take you somewhere else.” Tippi says bluntly. Scootaloo nods and jumps over it. She uses this momentum to buzz her wings and to land on a nearby brick block. She lands on the block, destroying it, and jumping to the next. Scootaloo destroys this block and heads to the next, but this block doesn’t break! It instead drops a coin that disappears in a small golden sparkle. There is a block cage ahead. Tippi flutters to Scootaloo. “Aren’t you gonna ask where the coin went?”

“Nah. This place seems like a video game, so I’m assuming that this is a video game.” Scootaloo answers.

“What is a video game..?” Tippi mumbles.

The trio head over the block cage. There is a small chasm in the way.

“So... if this is a video game... going down there would be a bad idea. Right?” Scootaloo asks Tippi.

“Yes.”

“And that pink thing over there is not in its right mind either?” Scootaloo asks, pointing at the pink thing.

“That is a squiglet. It’s a small creature that scurries around on it’s many legs. It has 2hp and 1atk. There isn’t much else to say besides it’s eyes are very blank...” Tippi answers.

The trio head over the chasm and past the squiglet up a hill. They spy a house.

“Is this where we are supposed to be going?” Scootaloo asks. A simple yes was all it took. The three headed in side the house... only to find an empty room. “Hey! There is nobody in here!”

“This is not an empty room. Try... try to find a trap door or something.” Tippi says calmly.

Pressing to the wall, Scootaloo finds a small rip in the wallpaper.

“Is this it?” She asks. Scootaloo buzzes up and rips off the paper, revealing a door.

“It’s a door-“ Tippi was cut off.

“Yes. I can tell it’s a door. Let’s go!” Scootaloo opens the door and runs inside, with Mario and Tippi tagging behind.

“Hmmmmmmmm?” Somebody asks. “What are these how do they have the audacity to stand before me, Bestovius?” He pauses. “Wait right there! Red shirt, white gloves, red cap... Orange fur, small wings, pink mane... Ha! You look just like the heroes of the prophecy! In fact, you must be the great...” Bestovius pauses for dramatic effect. “Hero! Impersonators!” He says! “What costumes! You two look like you just leapt out of the pages of the Prognosticus!” Mario shakes his head.

“This is Mario and Scootaloo! They look like this because they ARE the heroes! Merlon told us to find you.” Tippi says.

“Merlon!? If Merlon thinks you are the true heroes, you probably are. I think... well then. As the ancient prophecy foretells... I, Bestovius, will bestow upon you the anchor to secrets of dimensional flipping... for a nominal fee of ten thousand coins!”

“Excuse me sir, does the prophecy say we have to pay you?” Scootaloo asks.

“No... fine. I will teach it to for free.” Bestovius says. “Flimmidy flammidy flooooom! Diggidy daggidy doooooom! Zibbidy zabbidy zoooom! SHABOOM! FLIPPOW!” Suddenly, magical light envelops Mario and Scootaloo! The light explodes outwards!

“I, Bestovius, have granted you two the ability to flip between dimensions. Well, what do you think? Mind blowing, is it not? You now can find super secret passages and items and stuff, but beware. If you use your new power too long, you will lose hp.”

“Okay.” Says Scootaloo. “Let’s do this!” She says. Mario and Scootaloo flip into 3D! “Wow, this place looks... huh. Normal. To me at least. Look! Items!” Scootaloo says. Mario picks up the two items. He looks at them and smiles.

“It seems we found a secret. Come on, let’s go...” Tippi says.

They flip back into 2D and leave the house. They head to the block wall. There is a small square with a fire symbol laying on the ground outside.

“Ooh, more cool free stuff!” Scootaloo says as she picks it up.

They find the block wall. “There is something behind here...” Scootaloo mumbles. She flips into 3D and back. “I found a red door with a star on it.” She says.

“Good job, lets go!” Tippi says. The three flip into 3D and head through the door.

They exit another red door with a star on it into a forest. Heading forward, they notice a bipedal turtle with sunglasses. Mario jumps up and lands on it, making it quickly go into its shell. He kicks the shell, knocking all the blank eyed goomba and more turtles away. The shell hits a very tall pipe and the shell gets knocked away as well.

“How do we get past- oh right. Just flip.” Scootaloo says, interrupting herself. They continue forwards, back in 2D. They pass multiple enemies, blocks, and chasm, until they find a door. Heading through the door reveals a wall, a spring, and a sign. The sign reads,

‘Use jump platforms to get over things and stuff!’

“I think we can just flip and go around.” Tippi says. Scootaloo and Mario nod. They continue forward and see another wall, this one without a spring. Heading past this. They find more enemies and a large staircase. “Woah! A staircase! Let’s climb it!”

The three go up the staircase to find a small gap between the top and more land. Mario jumps over it, then Scootaloo and Tippi follow. They come upon yet another door. Going through this door reveals some pipes which the three easily weave around in 3D. They come upon a single question mark block.

“Another block. Who knew adventuring could be so boring?” Scootaloo says. They completely bypass the block that clearly held something important and go past a maze of enemies and brick blocks. They soon stumble upon a large high up rainbow block in front of the end of the road.

“Woah!” Scootaloo says in awe. “I doubt I could reach that!” Mario doesn’t. He jumps up and confidently strikes the block, and the three get teleported away.
