It was a rainy and thunderous day in the wilderness; all the animals had to flee to their homes and protect their young from the fierce winds, rain, and lightning. As soon as the storm clouds drew nearer and nearer on top of the mountains, they poured more rain and thunder cracked loudly in the skies. Everything was dark and dreary as the storm continued to rage in Equestria.
However, as if things couldn’t get any unexpectedly darker, an evil figure presented himself. As he walked across the marshes, the mud, and the puddles, the thunder cracked even more violently and more lightning strikes spread across the atmosphere.
This figure was none other than the evil blue ram named Grogar, the Father of Monsters. Grogar fully realized that the time had come for him to take over Equestria and seize what is rightfully his.
As he walked, he thought back on his humiliating defeat at the hooves of his nemesis Gusty the Great when she rose up against him, took away his Bewitching Bell, and overcame him as a result. Though it was only a temporary setback, he was determined to recover that former power he possessed when he ruled over all he saw in pre-Equestria.
He had spent a millennia binding his time and regaining his power though it was only a fraction of what was left of his magic. He also made many plans as to how he can bring the ponies to their knees, destroy his enemies, and thus have complete domination over all Equestria.
Now, he was only a couple steps before complete victory. He grew a wicked smile as he knew exactly what to accomplish first. One step at a time is all it takes.
Grogar had finally reached to his destination. He entered into a deep cave where an ancient artifact was kept in store by Gusty for the purpose of keeping it from the wrong hooves knowing it would be dangerous to be kept around anypony. But Grogar knew what magical powers this artifact contained.
As he easily disabled the magical barrier with his magic, he cautiously walked on the cold ground in the cave. After ten minutes of wandering, he finally spotted what he was looking for.
This source of power was a red ruby that can release a glowing orb to lure victims into a trap. When they are in a vulnerable position, the orb releases tendrils to latch unto its prey. With the victims helpless to escape, the orb becomes a dark magical spirit that can possess them to turn into their evil counterparts. Grogar evilly chuckled as he used telekinesis to grab the ruby.
“Yes...the Orb Ruby is finally mine,” said Grogar. “With this artifact in my possession, I will be able to manipulate any creature I want!” But as soon as he said this, his evil smile turned into a frown. “Those three fools think they have tricked me into thinking they are still so ‘loyal’ even though they have my bell!!” he exclaimed as he angrily stomped his hoof on the ground so hard that it shook the cave.
After a moment, his evil smile returned again as he continued, “But fortunately for me, I know what they are planning behind my back thanks to my crystal ball, and I intend to show them what true power is all about through the element of surprise.”
“I have been waiting and preparing my entire life for this moment. I will retake what was stolen from me and utilize the means through which I can reach my former glory...and then finish what I STARTED!!!” he shouted with determination.
He walked out of the cave with the Orb Ruby and continued to walk across the landscape as the storm raged on, foreshadowing the darkness that will fall on Equestria.
As Grogar continued trotting, his golden bells on his collar began to flicker; his flickering bells were a signal that somepony… or someone was calling him. Grogar answered the call by activating a spell through which he can communicate with the contacter.
As the spell was activated, a deep mysterious voice was heard, “GROGAR…I HAVE GOOD NEWS THAT DESERVE YOUR ATTENTION.”
Grogar smiled, “Ahhh, my dear friend…what news do you bring?”
“YOUR BELL IS KEPT IN STORE WITHIN THE MEETING ROOM OF YOUR LACKEYS, AND THEY HAVE ALREADY LEFT THE LAIR TO INITIATE THEIR PLAN. THIS IS YOUR CUE TO COMMENCE YOUR PLAN.” the mysterious voice reported.
“Excellent,” Grogar commended. “This will work perfectly for me.” He rubbed his wicked hooves together as he contemplated his inevitable victory.
“The time of loss and humiliation is now past and the time of vengeance and glory is come. I will reclaim what was taken from me a millennia ago. Gusty won’t be here to stop me this time!”
“In the meantime, I need you to send your spy to oversee their occupation; when they return, let me know. When the time is right, they shall feel my wrath and witness my ultimate power that I shall use to humble Equestria!! And soon…I WILL RULE OVER EVERY CREATURE!!!” Grogar exclaimed with pride.
“YESSS… THE POWER SHALL ALL BE YOURS. BUT REMEMBER OUR DEAL, GROGAR. I GIVE YOU THE MEANS TO CONQUER THIS PATHETIC WORLD AND YOU GIVE ME THE MEANS THROUGH WHICH I CAN DESTROY MY OWN FOES AND HELP REVITALIZE MY KIND.” the voice spoke.
Grogar replied calmly, “Do not worry, my friend. I will fulfill my end of the deal. After all, you helped me locate this artifact and have given me valuable information as to how I can utilize it.”
“Of course, we’ve been together for quite some time accomplishing many things. Those were a makeup for the loss I’ve suffered from Gusty. You have been a great aide so far,” said Grogar.
“INDEED. YOU ALSO HAVE PROVEN YOURSELF TO BE VERY USEFUL FOR MY CAUSE. WITHOUT YOUR MAGICAL EXPERTISE, I WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO FULFILL MY GOALS AFTER THE LOSS OF MY MASTER AND MY CLOSEST FRIEND. WE REALLY HAVE MUCH IN COMMON. WE WILL TALK AGAIN, GROGAR.” the voice finished.
“Farewell,” said Grogar. The spell then vanished and finished the call. Grogar continued his trail back to his lair to complete the first stage of his master plan.
