From HRH Hotcake, RE: Letter 25

To my faithful student, Twilight Sparkle,

You may be entertained to learn that the manners employed by nobility, upper class, 'old money' and entrepreneurs differ slightly with each of the former insisting the latter are 'getting it wrong.' Generally I just select the pony I respect the most as an authority on such things at the meal, and imitate their silverware or dining habits, when I am in doubt. It's amazing how much those little rules can change over a century, much less a millennium. If I may be honest, I rather miss the days where using silverware for anything but doling out portions was considered an insult to source of the food. Besides, these little rituals tend to make ponies happy, even if it is not precisely the most efficient usage of time.

Your loving mentor,
Princess Celestia

Dear Anon,

I have noticed during the last few letters you've actually been toning down your disparaging remarks just a bit. While I still am forced to mostly guess as per the exact wording of my student's missives, I hope this is a sign that you are finally settling in and finding a measure of comfort and happiness in Equestria.

Either that or my student is actively regressing and there's little you can do to make it worse than it already is.

Penned optimistically by,
HRH Celestia
