//------------------------------// // Chapter 38: Lynn's Self Revelation // Story: Journey through Alola // by darkmage1997 //------------------------------// Heading along a stretch of road south of Malie City, our heroes next destination in mind was the Ghost Type Trial, at the southern most part of Ula'ula Island. They were passing along an area rich with bamboo trees, when out from some of the bushes tumbled out some little panda Pokémon with a leaf in their mouths. They quickly got up, and dashed off somewhere, "Just some Pancham," Will commented. "They're so cute!" Fluttershy commented. "Pancham, the Playful Pokémon, a Fighting Type. It idolizes it's evolved form, Pangoro. It tries it's best to look tough, it can't help but smile when it is pat on the head," Rotom explained. "Is it natural for Pokémon to idolize their evolved forms?" Lisa asked Will. "In some cases, unevolved Pokémon respect their evolved forms as leaders, but in some cases, such as Meowth, Pokémon can absolutely hate their evolved forms," Will explained. "I could've sworn those Pancham looked like they were running from something," Lincoln commented. Then, out from the trees, a wild gorilla like Pokémon that looked to also be a mix of a sloth, sprang out, and started rampaging. "Whoa! Vigoroth!" Will exclaimed, as Vigoroth rampaged. "Vigoroth, the Wild Monkey Pokémon, a Normal Type, and the evolved form of Slakoth. It is unable to relax unless it rampages all the time. It gets too stressed if it sits still for an extended time," Rotom explained. Vigoroth then took notice of our heroes, and charged at them. "I got this! Go, Gyarados!" Lynn said, sending out Gyarados, making Vigoroth stop in it's tracks, "Gyarados, use Hydro Pump!" Lynn ordered. However, Gyarados ignored her orders, instead opting to coil up and take a nap, "Come on Gyarados!" Lynn bellowed. Some Sludge Bombs and a Flamethrower were what stopped Vigoroth's advances. Looking to the source, they saw Busujima, along with a Muk and Salazzle. "Alright, let's see what you've got!" he said, tossing an Ultra Ball at Vigoroth, encapsulating it. It rocked three times before clicking. Picking it up, Busujima took out a device that looked similar to a Pokedex, and used it to scan the Ultra Ball, "Focus Energy, Counter, Crush Claw, and Hammer Arm. Not a bad line up of moves, and the stats aren't too bad either," Busujima said, tucking the Ultra Ball away. "We didn't need your help, jerkwad! I had everything under control!" Lynn angrily boasted. "You mean how your Gyarados opted to take a nap instead of battling? Yeah, looks like you had everything in the bag," Busujima stated bluntly. "Well, thanks anyway for dealing with that Vigoroth," Toby said. Unbeknownst to any of them, Mako, Delilah, Davis, and Chaz were all in the nearby shrubbery, along with a boy dressed in oriental clothing. He had marks on his face that looked like whiskers. "Yeah, whatever. I've been tracking it since yesterday. It was certainly well worth the hassle," Busujima replied, as he turned to leave. "Hey, not so fast! I'm challenging you to a battle!" Lynn declared. Busujima stopped in his tracks, and turned back to the group. "Please, why would I ever waste my time battle a third rate wannabe trainer who can't even get her own Pokémon to battle?" Busujima questioned. "If you won't battle, then how about I take a crack?" a boy's voice said. "That voice...! Byakko!" Busujima exclaimed in shock, as he turned to see the boy in oriental clothing. "Who's the kid?" Lori questioned. "I am Byakko, one of the Bandit Star Pirates Big Four," the boy replied. "SO, you're wanting to battle the great Lynn Loud Jr., eh, shrimp?" Lynn boasted. "Just leave this guy for someone else to battle. I'll take you on myself!" Busujima bargained. Everyone, apart from an oblivious Lynn, seemed concerned about Busujima's mannerisms. It wasn't like him to get so frightened. "Now, now Busujima, this girl clearly wants a challenge, so I will give it to her," Byakko replied. Busujima backed off after being dismissed. The other Pirates came out of hiding too, "So, Lynn, was it? How about a one on one battle?" Byakko suggested. "Fine with me," Lynn replied confidently. "Well, at least she's getting a chance to battle," Lincoln commented. "You guys need to stop her. That moron doesn't have a prayer against Byakko!" Busujima stated. "Busujima has a point. It's clear that Gyarados doesn't fully trust her as a competent trainer. She's bound to loose," Mako added, as Lynn and Byakko took their places. "Your Pokémon will be that Gyarados, I presume. In that case, I'll go with this one!" Byakko said, sending out a fairy large leopard Pokémon. It was purple and yellow, "I got this Liepard from a trainer at a Swap Meet," Byakko boasted. "Liepard, the Cruel Pokémon, a Dark Type. Stealthily, it sneaks up on it's target, striking from behind before its victim has a chance to react," Rotom commented. "Liepard are fairly strong Pokémon. I think the battle is in favor of Byakko after all," Will commented. "How can you be so quick to decide? I thought Lynn was one of your disciples?" Delilah asked. "It's because Gyarados is poorly trained, and it doesn't fully trust her," Lincoln replied. "As they say, ladies first," Byakko offered. "I don't need any chivalry from a friend of that bully, Busujerkma! But since you're offering, Gyarados, use Hyper Beam!" Lynn ordered. Gyarados, however, opted to ignore her, and looked elsewhere, "C'mon Gyarados! I need you to battle!" Lynn yelled at the defiant Atrocious Pokémon. "Well, if your Pokémon won't obey, then I'll gladly go on the attack myself. Go Liepard! Use Night Slash!" Byakko ordered. Liepard then slashed at Gyarados with glowing, purple claws. Gyarados roared from the attack, and glared fiercely at Liepard. "Ha-ha! Now Gyarados is willing to battle! Use Hydro Pump!" Lynn ordered. But Gyarados still ignored her, opting this time to use a move that summoned a tornado. "Gyarados is using Twister!" Will exclaimed. "Liepard, use Dark Pulse," Byakko ordered. Liepard then fired the dark rings at the tornado, destroying it, "Now, for a move I've been wanting to try: Liepard, use Assist!" Liepard then fired off what looked to be a Thunderbolt, which was super effective against Gyarados, knocking it out. "So... Liepard can use Thunderbolt?" Leni asked. "Not exactly. The move we just witnessed is called 'Assist', and it allows the user to randomly use a move from another Pokémon in the trainer's team. Thunderbolt must've come from one of Byakko's Pokémon that can use it," Will explained. "Well, that certainly was fun," Byakko commented, as Liepard snuggled up to him. Meanwhile, Lynn was stomping around, furious that she lost. "HOW!?! HOW DID I LOOSE!?" Lynn yelled. "It's because Gyarados doesn't trust you yet," Mako commented, getting a fierce glare from the athlete, making him flinch, but regained his composure, "Take it from a trainer who has a Gyarados, it takes time and patience to earn one's trust," he added. "But how can it not trust me?! I'm me! I'm great! I'm number one!" Lynn bitterly snapped. "Look, you clearly don't have what it takes to completely control Gyarados. Why else do you think it ignored your commands?" Busujima snapped back. "Shut up, Busujerkma! I don't need advice from a bully like you!" Lynn snapped. This made all the pirates laugh boisterously, "What's so funny?!" she demanded, not getting the joke. "Well, we think it's hypocritical of you to call Busujima a bully, when it's clear you're an even bigger one!" Davis replied. "WHAT?! I am not a bully! Tell him Stinkcoln!" Lynn ordered. "Hate to break it to you dude, but he has a point. Ever since we got here, your temper's been completely out of control, and you're picking on our bro, and even Serenity, as if you're trying to make everyone know you're a bully," Luna stated in a matter of fact tone. The others agreed with the rocker sister. "Why else do you think we tried to get you to quit babysitting? You terrorized ALL of our clients' kids. And your apology punches don't exactly send a good message either," Lori added. "I tend to go overboard on April Fool's Day, but ever since THAT incident, I've been holding back on all of my pranks!" Luan added. "The same with me and blackmailing all of you! Mainly because Uncle Ross and Aunt Rhonda taught me the error of my ways," Lola muttered the last bit. Lynn couldn't believe what she was hearing.... her own sisters were turning against her. "Not to mention the way you treated Gyarados the day you caught it. Throwing into the harbor showed it that you have no regard for the well being of others," Will added. "This is a family issue! Butt out!" Lynn spat. "Man, this chick isn't just stupid, she's also ruder than I ever could be!" Busujima whispered to his fellow pirates. "Lynn, much like what happened during the whole Luck incident, this is no longer just a family issue," Lori stated. "Fine, if you all won't side with the real number one winner, then I'll go at it alone!" Lynn said, recalling Gyarados, and ran off. "Lynn, wait!" Lincoln called out. "Hold on Lincoln. Maybe it's for the best we leave her be. Maybe some time alone will clear her head," Luan advised. "So... what's this about a 'Luck' incident?" Delilah asked. "Well, to put it simply, it's sort of a black spot in our family's history," Lincoln replied. After loosing her cool, Lynn was determined to show her ungrateful siblings and friends that she was capable of being a winner, "I'll show them all! Lynn Loud Jr. never gives up without a fight!" Lynn said to herself, as she neared the coast line, "I just haven't figured out the Good Luck Rituals for Pokémon Battles yet. I just need to find out what can tip things in MY favor," Lynn commented. "You mean like how things went your way when you threatened Lincoln and blamed him for one softball game?" a little angel Lynn then appeared on her shoulder. "Who are you?!" Lynn questioned. "I'm your conscious. I'm that little voice in your head that tells you right from wrong," the angel Lynn replied. "Yeah, same here!" a devil Lynn then appeared on the other shoulder. "Oh, just like the cartoons!" Lynn commented. "Pretty much, but we're here for a different reason," Devil Lynn replied, as she and Angel Lynn floated in front of her. "Is it to give me advice on how to show my stupid siblings that I'm the best trainer among the family?" Lynn asked in a tone that indicated she felt she didn't need to ask. "No. We're here about your over reliance on luck," Angel Lynn replied. "What do you mean 'over-reliance'?! Luck is what made me what I am! The best athlete in all of Royal Woods!" Lynn argued. "No, what it made you was a cocky, arrogant, selfish brat who only thinks of herself. You force your luck rituals on everyone around you. Why do you think many players have to take leave after every game you win? It's because of your whole 'no bathroom breaks' rule is dangerous for a person's health!" Devil Lynn retorted. "I thought you were supposed to tell me to make bad decisions," Lynn commented. "Well, the day you threatened Lincoln and then blamed him for your loss is kind of my fault, and also why I'm siding with your good conscious. Apparently, my higher ups were so outraged at what I made you do that they made me team up with your good conscious to help you stop everything before things got worse. Unfortunately, we were too late, and you and your family kicked your brother to the curb, and pretty much treated him less like a human being and more of a plague," Devil Lynn explained. "Well, where were you when Stinkcoln challenged us to that nerdy card game?!" Lynn demanded. "Well, we did try to tell you to apologize so he could drop the charges, but your over inflated ego got in the way," Angel Lynn replied. "Likely story. Then how did I loose all those training matches against that nerd's friends?" Lynn demanded. "Probably has to do with the fact you didn't read the rule book, and instead relied on your 'luck' to win, instead of a basic understanding of the game," Angel Lynn replied, as Devil Lynn brought out a TV set. "Let's review this particular match.... it's when you and your sisters went up against that masked duelist," she said, as she turned on the TV. Flash Back, 3 months ago, An explosion knocked Lynn back, as a group of rusty robots towered before her. Before her was an African American boy with glasses, a blue and yellow striped shirt, and blue jeans, "Come on Lynn, that time was even more pathetic than last time!" the boy said. "Clyde has a point, ya know? Ya didn't use a single one o' your cards right," another boy with a southern accent said. His orange hair was done in a bowl shaped cut. He was also wearing a blue striped shirt and khakis. Lynn's sisters, and some more of Lincoln's friends, including some of the sisters' former friends, all made their way over to them. "Another failed duel?" a girl with braided hair asked. She had a yellow shirt, and a blue skirt. "Yeah, Lynn still wouldn't play Spell or Trap cards," Clyde replied. "That's because those cards are against the rules! If they're in that bad luck tainted rule book Stinkcoln provided us, then they have to be illegal moves!" Lynn shouted. "Then how was my Duel Disk able to let ME use them with ease? Face it Lynn, your logic and opinions on the rules are flawed, just like your superstitions," Clyde added. "Say that again McBride, I dare you!" Lynn threatened. "I still can't believe you guys would sink to such a new low," another girl commented. She was pretty much dressed like a clown. "This is a FAMILY issue, Giggles. Lincoln should not have gotten anyone else involved," Luan stubbornly retorted. "I'm pretty sure the court declared this to no longer being a 'family issue'. That's why your brother asked all of us to get you all into shape for the Duel in a few days," a Hispanic teenaged boy about Lori's age replied. He wore a green plaid shirt over a white tank top, and had jeans. "Look, you guys should just let us handle this! That dorky jinx of a brother is OUR problem that we're going to extinguish," Lynn replied. "Not to mention, Mom and Dad are going to have a field day with giving Lincoln his punishment for even playing this game!" Lola added, an evil smile on her face. "With skills like that pitiful display, you might as well forfeit and resign yourselves to your richly deserved punishment," a deep voice said. Looking behind them, a masked figure in a trench coat stood before them. "Who's this guy?" a redheaded teenage girl asked. "Don't know. We've never seen this guys before," Clyde replied, as the masked figure approached. "You may refer to me simply as Masque," the figure replied. "Masque?" a boy with curly red hair, a long nose, and a green shirt wondered, before his eyes widened, "Wait, are you THAT Masque?!" he exclaimed. "Someone you know Rusty?" a skater girl asked. "I've heard of Masque before too, but I thought he was an urban legend. He's kind of like the Batman of Duel Monsters. He only duels bullies who gang up on weaker duelists, or those who are being picked on," a Hispanic girl in a purple hoodie replied. "Indeed. And that is why I am here. The Loud Sisters, especially the likes of Lori, Luan, Lynn, and Lola, are guilty of not only this Luck atrocity, but many more misdeeds they have done to their brother. Which is why I'm going to be their first REAL opponent before your match against your brother," Masque said, challenging the Loud Sisters. "You're really going to challenge us? Please, an unknown like you hasn't a chance against us!" Lynn dismissed. "Is she really boasting about her lack of skill?" a goth girl questioned. "I understand if you won't battle me. Who would've thought that the 'great' Lynn Loud Jr. was really just a big chicken!" Masque goaded. This seemed to irk Lynn, as she turned to him. "You just dug your own grave!" Lynn said, reactivating her Duel Disk. "Why don't we use the rules you'll use in the Duel against Lincoln? The nine of you against me," Masque suggested. "No thanks, I'm more than enough for you!" Lynn snapped. 'Perfect, now I can confirm her greatest weakness,' Masque thought to himself, as he activated his Duel Disk. Everyone else got out of the way, "You may have the first move," he said. "Like I need your charity. But since you offered, I'll start things off by summoning Masaki the Legendary Swordsman in Attack Mode!" Lynn said, as a samurai materialized in front of her. Masaki, The Legendary Swordsman Level: Four Attribute: Earth Type: Warrior/Normal Attack: 1100 Defense: 1100 "And that will end my turn!" Lynn boasted, doing one of her Good Luck Dances. 'She's toast,' Lincoln's friends all thought. "Very well, I draw!" Masque said, drawing a card. He smirked underneath his mask, "First, I'll summon Cyber Kirin in Attack Mode!" a chrome, robot dog like creature materialized in front of Masque. Cyber Kirin Level: Four Attribute: Light Type: Machine/Effect Attack: 300 Defense: 800 "Next, I'll activate the Spell Card Power Bond, which allows me to use the three Cyber Dragons in my hand to Fusion Summon one Machine Type Fusion monster with double the attack points," as he said that, three chrome dragon robots then merged together, "I Fusion Summon Cyber End Dragon!" a three headed machine dragon then materialized behind him. Cyber End Dragon Level: Ten Attribute: Light Type: Machine/Fusion/Effect Attack: 4000 -----> 8000 Defense: 2800 "Due to Power Bond's effect, at the end of my turn, I loose Life Points equal to the Attack Points my Dragon gained. And now, I'll have Cyber End attack Masaki, The Legendary Warrior!" Masque declared, as Cyber End Dragon blasted the Samurai with a high voltage attack, completely obliterating Masaki. Lynn Loud Jr. LP: 8000 - 6900 = 1100 LP remaining Cyber Kirin will now attack your life points directly!" Masque declared. Cyber Kirin then fired a laser blast at Lynn. Lynn Loud Jr. LP: 1100 - 300 = 800 LP remaining Needless to say Lynn's sisters were all speechless. This mysterious guys had nearly wiped out all of her life points in one move, "Next, I'll end my turn by sacrificing Cyber Kirin to activate it's special ability. Since Power Bond will deal me 4000 Life Points of damage, Cyber Kirin can neutralize that effect, so my life points are safe," Masque said, as Cyber Kirin disappeared. "I knew Masque was strong, but I didn't think he'd have that good a strategy in mind!" Rusty commented. "My turn again, I draw!" Lynn said, drawing a card, "I summon Baby Dragon in defense mode, and end my turn," Lynn said, as a small yellow dragon materialized. Baby Dragon Level: Three Attribute: Wind Type: Dragon/Normal Attack: 1200 Defense: 800 "Good call. At least now Lynn's Life Points are safe for now," Lana commented. "My move, I draw!" Masque said, drawing a card, "Cyber End Dragon, attack Baby Dragon! When Cyber End Dragon destroys a monster with fewer Defense Points than my monster has Attack Points, you still take damage, even if your monster is in defense mode!" he said, as Cyber End Dragon destroyed Baby Dragon. Lynn Loud Jr. LP: 800 - 7200 = -6400 LP lost Winner: Masque Real Time, "You see? You were so caught up with your Good Luck Rituals that you pretty much just handed that Masque Guy a win! I looked over the rule book, and nothing in there has anything relating to luck, other than the luck of the draw. You basically made yourself look like a fool!" Angel Lynn stated. "All I saw was more of Stinkcoln's bad luck ruining my gameplay!" Lynn bitterly retorted. "You know, Masque may be right about you. You're just a great big chicken who's only interested in winning via luck that you forget that there is no such thing as luck. You won all of those sports games because you practiced," Devil Lynn replied. "Ok, then tell me, how did I loose the Softball Game Stinkcoln attended?! I've been winning all of my games up until that point, where he ruined it for me!" Lynn demanded. "Remind me, how exactly did you convince him to attend?" Angel Lynn asked. This was able to get through to Lynn finally. "Ok, so MAYBE I had to use a little unnecessary persuasion, but it was just because I wanted him to support me! All he wanted to do was read his nerdy comics. What could be interesting in a bunch of grown men in tights fighting each other, that Lincoln would choose that over watching me dominate on the field? Besides, Stinkcoln has no issues with the rest of our sister's activities, how is sports any different?" Lynn questioned. "That kind of logic works both ways, Lynn. Lincoln probably thinks something like 'what's so great about watching a bunch of sweaty jocks throw a bunch of stitched balls at each other, when reading about a good role model fighting against injustice and protecting the innocent is so much more captivating?' You need to face facts Lynn; Lincoln hates sports. He always has, always will. As for the others hobbies, Lincoln likes music, just like Luna, he'll help with Lola's pageants, or be Luan's helper for her Funny Business gigs, because he likes all of those things more than sports," Devil Lynn explained. "Then why does he always agree to be my sparring partner?!" Lynn countered. "Maybe because you don't give him a choice or a chance to respond. You have no idea how much stronger you are compared to your brother," Angel Lynn chastised. "Why thank you. It's about time you guys started giving me richly deserved compliments," Lynn said, as what her good conscious just said went over her head. "That wasn't a compliment! The point of this whole conversation is to show you the error of your ways!" Devil Lynn replied. "Besides, do ever think about what possible injuries you could inflict to Lincoln? One wrong move, and he could have a broken arm or leg, or worse," Angel Lynn, as a skull and crossbones appeared over her halo. "Wait, you're saying, that if I'm not careful...." Lynn words were filled with a sense of fear and worry, and a little remorse. Both conscious' nodded. This revelation was all Lynn needed to think about everything that she had ever done to not only Lincoln, but her sisters as well. She thought she was having fun with them, but she never thought about how they felt about her idea of fun. All the roughhousing, the Dutch Ovens, and even worse, the Luck Incident. For the first time since that event, Lynn felt pure, unadulterated remorse. And it didn't help that she was being an even bigger jerk to their new friends. "You guys are right," Lynn admitted. "Not so fast there! I figured you'd say something like that, but I have a counter argument to...." Devil Lynn cut herself off as she just processed what Lynn had just said, "Say that again?" she requested. "You guys are right. I am just an egotistical, selfish, hypocritical bully," Lynn said, as she released Gyarados, who looked at her with some bit of interest, "Gyarados, I know I caught you abruptly, and treated you like dirt, but I know now that what I did was completely wrong. Instead of placing the blame on others, I should've took the blame like any real winner should've. I guess what they all said about me was true, that I'm a sore looser," Lynn lamented. Gyarados growled sympathetically. It could easily tell that Lynn truly felt bad about how she's been acting. "Well, some bits of what you've been saying may be a tad exaggerated, but I'm proud of you Lynn. Admitting you were wrong about everything is a big first step to becoming a true blue winner," Angel Lynn said, as she and Devil Lynn disappeared, leaving Lynn and Gyarados alone. The others had come to get her, when a herd of Raticate came rushing out, and growled threateningly at her. "Raticate, it had to be Raticate!" Will said, as he readied a Pokeball. But he stopped when Gyarados slithered in between Lynn and the Raticate. "Could this mean...?" Lola questioned. "We'll see," Toby replied. "Alright, Gyarados, use Twister and blow these rats away!" Lynn instructed. To everyone's surprise, Gyarados then initiated the attack, and blew away all the Raticate. When the smoke cleared, they were all running away, "Nice one Gyarados!" Lynn praised. "That certainly was an excellent performance Lynn," Lynn saw her friends and family coming towards her. Lynn had butterflies in her stomach. "Uh guys, about everything that's happened..... I just want to say I'm sorry for everything. Acting like a big jerk, the whole 'two for flinching' thing, and most of all, the entire Bad Luck mess I got us into back home," Lynn said sincerely. This certainly wasn't expected by her siblings. They always thought Lynn to be the toughest of them all, but now she was admitting she was wrong. Lynn braced herself for all the teasing she was going to receive. "Lynn," the athletic sister froze up when her brother spoke up, "There's no question that what you did was by far the stupidest thing you've ever done," Lynn flinched at the harsh tone Lincoln was using, "You're arrogant, self-centered, and overly superstitious to the maximum degree. But, even in spite of all of that, I am will to forgive everything this ONE time only," Lincoln stated. "Thanks Link, you have no idea how much that means to me," Lynn replied. "But I am saying this here and now; if ANY of you does ANYTHING similar to the Bad Luck mess again, there won't be any more chances!" Lincoln declared. A wave of understanding was his understanding. "Well, it's good to know now that you've all more or less reconciled. So, with all that out of the way, Rotom says we can go along this path. It appears to be the most direct route to the Southern Tip of the island," Will said, pointing down a rather rough looking road. "Well, it doesn't look all that stable. But maybe there's an easy route within it that we can take?" Lincoln theorized. "Maybe. Let's have a look around," Will suggested, as they all entered the rough terrain. Meanwhile, at the Royal Woods Prison House, A man in a trench coat was walking towards a cell, being escorted by two guards, while carrying a baby in his arms. He had blonde hair, and blue eyes, "So, how are they doing?" the man asked. "Well Detective Ross, they haven't caused any ruckus' since they were jailed. I heard the warden talking about maybe letting them out early for good behavior," one of the guards replied. "Hmm, sounds about right. The stress of handling eleven kids is rather burdensome. Being relieved of said burden must've made them more relaxed and docile," Ross commented, as they arrived at a cell. inside were two adults. One was a woman with similar blonde hair, and the other was a balding man with a large nose. Both were in orange jumpsuits, "Leave us be for the moment," Ross requested. The two guards then left him and the baby alone with the inmates, "Hey sis, hey Lynn," Ross said. The two looked up at him. "Ross, what do we owe the pleasure of you coming to visit us for the first time in months?" the woman asked, sounding rather peeved. "First off, loose the attitude. You and Lynn both know WHY you two are here, right Rita?" Ross asked. Rita then sighed. "You're right. After what we did to Lincoln, we deserve this," Rita commented. "But that's not to say we're not going to give Lincoln a fair and justified punishment once we're released," Lynn Sr. added. "Punishment? For what?" Ross asked. "One. For playing Duel Monsters. He knows as well as his sisters how I feel about that game, and why it's forbidden in our house," Lynn Sr. replied. "Uh huh. And I can see how locking him out of the house, and selling ALL of his stuff without his consent isn't punishment enough," Ross replied sarcastically. Lynn Sr. opened his mouth to respond, but quickly shut it. Now that he thought about it, kicking his only son and selling his stuff was a pretty over the top punishment, even if Lincoln did lie. Plus, he felt sort of hypocritical about Lincoln's prowess in Duel Monsters. He and his wife support all of their daughters in their endeavors, but when Lincoln finds something he likes? They immediately shut it down. "Ok, I guess you do have a point. Plus, just between the three of us, I'm kind of interested in that game now after seeing all those monsters and spells in action," Lynn Sr. admitted. "Well that's good. Secondly is in regards to the kids in question," Ross said, as Lily cooed, reaching out for her parents. "Hi Lilly, did you miss us?" Rita cooed, trying to reach out to her youngest daughter. Lily warped her tiny hand around Rita's finger. "Mama!" Lily said. "Yeah, after you both got arrested, it's really took a toll on your daughters, especially Lily," Ross explained. "What about Lincoln?" Lynn Sr. asked. Ross just raised an eyebrow at him, "Oh, right," the Loud Patriarch said, remembering how angry his only son was at him and his wife for their part in the Bad Luck ordeal. "Anyhow, back to the topic, the main reason I came here is in regards to something that's happened to them," Ross said. This drew some concern from the two parents. "They're not hurt, are they?!" Rita asked in worry. "I honestly have no idea. The only real clue I have to go on is this surveillance footage I got from the security cameras around my house," Ross said, as he took out a tablet. The footage he showed only deepened the parent's worry. It looked to be a typical TV time in which all of the siblings were all gathered in their Uncle's living room. They were watching their favorite show, The Dream Boat, when a rift of some sort opened up in front of the TV set. Some unseen force was then shown to be pulling them in. Once the last of the sisters', Lisa, was pulled in, the rift closed. "What was that?!" Lynn Sr. questioned. "I honestly don't know. But I'm having some of the guys down at the station go over the footage. I promise I'll bring them back," Ross vowed. "Please do," Rita said. With that, Ross then took his leave with Lily, leaving the Loud Parents to wonder what happened to their kids.
