Night came to Equestria. Inside one of the guest rooms of Twilight's castle, Megan looks out the window and is astounded.
"Ponyville looks so beautiful at night." Megan said to herself. She looks up into the sky. "The stars are so cool. It's like they're jewels on a crown."
She then hears a knock on the door. "Who's there?"
"It's just me. Twilight Sparkle." The voice responded. "May I come in?"
Megan then felt some relief. "Sure, Twilight. I have my sleepwear on."
Twilight opens the door and comes in. She sees Megan wearing a long sleeve teal nightgown. "I love that nightgown, Megan."
"Aw. Thanks." Megan cooed. "I assume that you didn't come in here to compliment my clothing."
"You're right. My friends are waiting outside the castle for the both of us. I would like to show you the view of Ponyville during the night."
"I don't see any harm in that. Just let me put on my slippers."
After putting on a pair of moccasin type slippers, Megan followed Twilight outside. The other ponies were waiting for them.
"I adore your nightgown, darling." Rarity commented.
"That color looks so nice on you." Fluttershy added.
Megan blushed after hearing those nice comments. "That's so nice of you, girls. Thank you."
"There's something else that's looks nice around here." Applejack said. "Our home here in Ponyville."
Megan looks around and sees what Applejack was talking about. She sees lanterns lit up all over town. Lighted lamps in the windows of the houses. She was very amazed with the environment.
"Wow! You guys are right." Megan said. "Ponyville is lovely at night."
"It sure is." Twilight replied. "Villages like this are always lovely at night."
"So are other places." Rarity added. "Like the big city of Manehattan. We'll take you there someday."
"Trust me on this, Megan." Applejack said. "I've been there. It's as peaceful as a sloth resting in a tree."
Pinkie bounced over to speak to the visitor. "So, what do you think of Equestria?"
"It's so amazing." Megan answered. "And, I thought Ponyland was a grand place."
"Are you going to miss the ponies you remember from the past?" Rainbow Dash asked.
Megan soon got a little emotional. "I guess so. But, I'll always remember them. They'll always be in my heart."
Fluttershy went over to give Megan a hug. "Don't worry, friend. You now have us to be there for you."
Megan returns the hug, and feeling loved. "Thanks, Fluttershy."
Applejack sees the scene and is happy. "What can make this night any better?"
Suddenly, a majestic white alicorn with a pastel mane and tail comes along. "I'd like to answer that last question."
Everyone was surprised at the alicorn's arrival. Especially Twilight Sparkle. "Princess Celestia! I didn't expect you to come here."
Celestia walks over to the group. She then approaches Megan.
"You're Princess Celestia?" Megan gulped. "Oh my gosh."
Megan got a little nervous. But, Celestia starts to comfort her.
"My sister, Princess Luna, the princess of the night, told me many stories about you, Miss Megan." Celestia explained. "I thought these stories were just fairy tales. But, when she learned that the legendary Rainbow Bridge was back, she was very excited. Luna was determine to have you visit Equestria."
"Really?" Megan wondered. "I never knew anypony would believe in stories of the days of Ponyland."
"My sister did. She told me that she came to you in your dreams. Luna is known to go into any dream. Pony or otherwise."
Megan's eyes widened. "Then, it was her voice who told me that the path will reopen. I'd like to meet your nighttime sister."
Celestia gave Megan a warm smile. "You will someday. I promise."
As Celestia starts to leave back to Canterlot Castle, Twilight Sparkle catches up to her. "Princess Celestia, are you upset with me bringing Megan here? I think you probably saw me cross that bridge."
"No, I’m not upset, Twilight." Celestia confirmed. "In fact, I'm glad you did. You have brought to Equestria something that hasn't been seen here for a long time."
"I did? What did I bring?"
Celestia turned to Megan's direction. "A legendary friend."
Megan was surprised to hear that as her face turned red. She felt very humbled.
