The Return of a Legendary Friend

Megan is Back

It was a clear breezy night. The stars are shining, the moon is full, and a breeze blows through a quiet forest. Soon, a gentle young girl with blond hair wearing a blue shirt and long deep blue skirt walked barefoot through the woods. When she went through a clearing, she looked up at the moon and smiled. Just then, the shadow of a unicorn appeared on the moon and spoke in a gentle female voice. "The path to the pony world will open for you once again."
The girl was shocked to hear that phrase. Soon, the sound of a buzzer rang. The forest turned out to be a dream as a hand reached for the clock and turned off the alarm. The person turned out to be the same girl from the dream. She slowly got out of her bed, brushed off her nightshirt, opened her window, and looked out in her neighborhood. Her home is at a farmland.
"That was some dream." The blond haired girl said to herself. "I wonder if it's trying to tell me something."
Meanwhile, in Equestria, Twilight Sparkle and her friends discuss something that's being talked about throughout the land.
"Are you sure about this, Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I know it's hard to believe." Twilight replied. "But, the legendary Rainbow Bridge is restored."
"What's so special about this bridge anyway?" Fluttershy wondered.
Twilight gave an explanation. "Back when Equestria was called Ponyland, a kind human girl named Megan Williams was brought here to help the ponies through many rough spots. She helped fight off many creatures of evil and is kind to everypony."
"Twilight is right." Starlight Glimmer added. "It wasn't long before her brother and sister, Danny and Molly, joined in on the action."
"If what you're saying is true, darling," Rarity stated, "it might be possible we might meet her. Of course, only pegasi can cross this Rainbow Bridge."
"Or an alicorn." Twilight suggested.
Everypony was surprised to here what Twilight said.
"You mean, you're going to bring this human girl here?" Applejack asked.
"I sure am." Twilight answered. "I saw where the Rainbow Bridge is located. I'll cross it, and bring her here. I'm sure she'll be impressed with Equestria."
Twilight took off into the sky as her friends watch. Spike was very concerned. "I wonder how Princess Celestia will react to this."
In the sky, Twilight saw a rainbow, just like she heard about. She crossed the rainbow, then found herself in a new area. She looked down and saw a farmland area. She quietly landed and looked around.
This farm is beautiful. Twilight thought. Applejack would love this place.
She soon heard footsteps and hid behind a bunch of trees. Out steps a human girl with blond hair in a ponytail, wrapped in a red bow. She wore a red shirt with a brown vest, blue jeans and brown cowboy boots. Twilight was surprised to see her. There she is. It's Megan.
Megan was joined by two other people. Twilight looked at them. They must be her parents.
Megan looked at the sky when her mother got her attention.
"Thinking about something, honey?" Her mother asked.
"No, mom." Megan responded. "I was just admiring our home. We are very fortunate to be living on this land."
Megan's father then gave her a shocking statement. "You miss going to Ponyland. Don't you?"
"Huh?!" Megan blurted out. "Dad, I'm not sure what you're..."
"Don't be upset, Megan." Mrs. Williams said. "We've known all about the adventures you, Danny, and Molly go off to."
“You….you do?”
"She's right, Kid." Megan's father added. "Once in a while, a Pegasus comes by and tells us about all of your adventures. You three kids are lucky to be friends to these ponies."
Megan felt a little relief knowing her parents knew of her little adventures. Hearing enough, Twilight came out and greeted the family. "Hi there, folks."
Everyone was shocked at the sight of this fascinating looking pony. Especially Megan. "Oh my gosh. I haven't seen a critter like you in two years. Which I believe is two thousand where you're from."
"I'm glad you know how time flows. Especially since the Rainbow Bridge was shut down. Until now."
The mother walked up to Twilight and was very surprised. "Wow! The horn of a unicorn and the wings of a Pegasus. What kind of pony are you?"
Twilight answered the question. "I'm known as an alicorn. My name is Twilight Sparkle. And, I'm from Equestria."
"Equestria?" Megan said with confusion. "You mean Ponyland changed it's name?"
"Many things changed in my land while you were out. And, I'd like to take you with me to show how things changed."
Megan was confused as her father came to her with her backpack. "Sounds like a good idea, Megan. Maybe you can spend the night with miss Sparkle."
"Is that why you brought my backpack here, dad?" Megan asked.
"That's right. I packed a change of clothes and your sleepwear."
"You always did have good taste in the clothes I wear." Megan said as she strapped on her backpack. She then approached the alicorn. "Twilight Sparkle, you have an overnight guest."
"That's good." Twilight said. "Climb on, and we'll get going."
Megan climbed on Twilight's back as the alicorn extended her wings. "Ready, Megan? Hang on."
Twilight and Megan took off into the sky as Megan's parents watch them go.
"Happy travels, Megan." The father said. "I hope you'll be okay."
