Entry 6

Today, after Celestia's regular pout and ditch session, I got into a little conversation with Nightstick. He's a fine, upstanding Pony. Really, one of Celestia's best and a great judge of character. And no, I'm not just saying that because he gives me paper and lets me generally do what I want.

He's been working for Big Sis for near 15 years in fact, and he too has been witness to the steady decline of my poor sister's mental health. He asked to ask me a question. It was a pretty frank question, but he did at least warn me that it might be of a sensitive topic.

Was it true? You know, what they said about me trying to take over the world.

Oh yeah, that's a sensitive topic alright!

I told him, well, yeah, you know. It's sort of true and sort of not true. It's complicated. I took a few hours regaling him with the story of our past, and he was amazed. He really couldn't believe a lot of things and I can't say I blame him, but really, what's in the past is long gone and what's important now is the present.

The present being, of course, that Celestia is, for lack of a better word, ill like a monkey.

I asked of Nightstick in return, has Celestia always been like this?

Of course not.

The answer didn't surprise me, but it was a good way to bring the subject up. I told Nighty, maybe a hundred years ago, Celestia was truly as benevolent and kind as she portrays herself in public. And deep down, she really truly is. It's just that ponies get waylaid sometimes, and as her sister, all I want to do is restore her love to the surface, as it were.

It's not to say that she isn't also a prank-loving hardrump sometimes, but you can't be ruler if you can't make the tough choices.

I suppose it's fair to say it's just that it's that part of her which has surfaced dramatically and is overpowering the rest of her being.

The balance must be restored. And that's the long and short of it.

Nighty agreed to help me. He's faithful to the end. He really deserves a commendation.

He's going to be my liaison in the castle. Helping me out when I need and passing me information. For this, we will work together to help my Big Sister!

Also I think he kind of likes me. This body? Well, It's cute. It's really super cute.

Hehehe.

My horn sure ain't as long as it used to be, but as they say, it's not the size of the thing, it's how you use it.

And oh boy, I plan to use it.
