Something sparked within me
A flame ignited in my fragile heart.
And before I knew It was burning
Scorching me right from the start.
Fluttering, my impulse; a naive, prying little Butterfly
Gracefully it gathers the passion I hold deep inside.
Fluttershy stood with her friends behind Discord. He had flown in front of them to stand off against Sombra. He sighed almost annoyed with the situation "well I guess it's up to me to be the MVP today. I was betting on you and I do hate being wrong."
He glanced back, not paying attention and deflecting Sombra's attacks easily "although if you think about it; I am your friend so maybe you win because friendship wins." He shrugged and smiled at Fluttershy affectionately "Although Fluttershy should get most of the credit for that." He clasped his claw and paw together and finished with "She's my favorite."
Fluttershy's heart pounded at that and a heat rose within her. She didn't have a moment to speak though as Sombra shot his magic towards her directly and she widened her eyes in horror. Discord flew in front of her protectively and the magic met it's mark. Discord screamed and was thrown behind the mane six. Fluttershy watched in horror, it seemed slowed down in her eyes even though it happened so fast. He thudded against the floor with sickening crack. She gasped horrified throwing her wings up "DISCORD!" Tears pouring from her eyes she ran over to him, the rest of the girls behind her.
She heard Sombra's voice but paid it no mind and wrapped her hooves around his neck, shaking him as she held him close. "Ohhh please wake up, please wake up ohhh ohhhh!" She whimpered tears streaming down onto his soft fur closing her eyes as her heart sank and she placed her head on his neck.
He slowly opened his eyes and lifted his neck to look at her lovingly. She opened her eyes "oohhh Discord!" She cried relieved and hugged him tightly feeling the warmth inside her burn as she held him close. She heard the girls voices speak but she didn't fully hear them, all that mattered was him.
He coughed and snapped his claws but no chaos magic sparked " it would appear that you are on your own. I have nothing left to give." He laid his head on the floor for a short moment before lifting it again. "You don't need me, you don't need the princesses and you certainly don't need the elements. Fluttershy you will always be kind." He took his claw and stroked her face.
She closed her eyes and enjoyed the sensation of his gentle touch. He took away his claw and continued his speech to her other friends. She watched him with adoration. She felt as if something was flying around in her stomach just dying to escape and spread her feelings for all to see. She fought down the feeling and focused on what was going on around her.
She saw Twilight turn to face Sombra and she joined her as they fought him. The fight passed quickly and soon after leaving Canterlot Castle Discord and her were sitting in her cottage after on her couch.
"Discord I wish you hadn't faked being hurt. I thought I lost you." Fluttershy said placing her hoof on his paw.
He flopped his ears down. " I'm sorry, my dear. I was only trying to make you girls believe in yourselves. I didn't mean to upset you, I thought it was the only way."
She nodded. "I know, it's just I don't know what I would have done if I had lost you." Tears formed in her eyes and Discord reached over and wiped her tears away and smiled lovingly at her.
"You will never lose me, you can be sure of that." He said.
Her heart beat fast from his touch. "Um...what did you mean by 'I'm your favorite'?" She asked shyly.
He faltered for a moment before saying. "You are my favorite, you're my best friend. Everything about you is my favorite and you… you mean more to me than chaos."
Her breath hitched as she realized what those words meant. She took his paw in her hoof and said back. "You're my favorite too, Discord." The warmth she felt was overpowering her and threatened to escape her. He pulled her closer to him and gazed into her teal eyes, his claw brushing her mane from her face.
Come my darling, have our fingers intertwine.Let me taste your lips as we cross the line.
He moved his face closer and with a jolt of bravery she closed the gap between them. Their lips found each other and he kissed her deeply. Fluttershy felt like she was floating on air and upon opening one eye they indeed were. His chaos magic was to blame. She closed her eye again and let her feelings take control.
She knew everypony would look down on them. He was an immortal and a completely different being from her. Her feelings for him though overpowered any of those thoughts. She knew she might get hurt in the long run but right now all that mattered was him.
If this world can’t see that what we have is love.Our flame will grow
Tonight I’m letting go.

He pulled away for air and smiled at her seductively. "I've wanted to do that for what feels like an eternity."
She nodded catching her breath. "Is...is this ok? Ponies will probably talk, I don't want to bring more negative attention to you."
He stroked her silky mane. "I'm used to negative attention, and even though ponies may look down on us; my feelings for you drown all that out. Also frankly I don't give a damn about anypony else." He winked at her.
She smiled and snuggled him. "I feel the same way."
He kissed her again and she was lost in his embrace.
Discord remembered all of the moments they shared together as he was kissing her. All of the pain and hurt from a couple of those moments where he had hurt her disappearing as their hearts connected. The happy ones were brought to the surface of his mind. He wanted to be with her forever.
Save me with your kiss,
Bring back those memories I’ve missed.
I want to captivate everything we have.
Then and now and forevermore.

Hours, minutes, seconds I’m near you
Still, I can’t restrain myself.
If this love is real I will wear it on my sleeve and burn in hell.
Discord walked with Fluttershy through Ponyville past the stalls feeling eyes on the pair as they passed and hearing ponies whispering among themselves.
"I don't know what I'd do if he was near me."
"Ugh I know, he's so freaky."
"He's always with her, do you think they are together?"
"Gross, could you imagine? He's like a thousand years old. It's be like dating her grampa. Not to mention if they were to mate."
"Don't make me barf, Minuette!"
He grounded his teeth and looked at Fluttershy. Her ears were pinned back so she could clearly hear the other ponies comments.
He wanted to pull her close to him and protect her. Every inch of him wanted to hold her but of course he didn't want to put her in a position of even more ridicule.
As they walked closer to Surgarcube corner he noticed a back alley and pulled her into it quickly.
"Discord! What are you-" she started to ask but got cut off by his lips on hers.
He kissed her passionately he couldn't stand not holding her anymore. He felt her kiss him back eagerly.
"WHAT THE HAY?!? GET YOUR CLAWS OFF OF HER!" A voice yelled and before Discord had a chance to respond two hind hooves bucked him in the face with such force and knocked him to the ground.
Fluttershy's eyes widened and she screamed "Rainbow Dash, how could you?"
"He was taking advantage of you Fluttershy!" Rainbow accused glaring at Discord.
Discord rubbed his swelling cheek and sneered at her.
"No he wasn't! He's my special somepony!" Fluttershy fired back.
Rainbow blinked before she gagged "you can't be serious! He's not even the same species as you not to mention he's like thousands of years old. That's just wrong."
"I've been stuck at the same age for eons!" Discord snapped. "technically I'm only 7 years older than Fluttershy."
Fluttershy sniffed back tears angrily. " I am 100% serious. I fell in love with him and I intend to be with him. I don't care if he's another species. I LOVE HIM!" She blushed after she shouted that last part. Discord's heart skipped a beat and he grinned at her. She could be so brave when she wanted to be!
Rainbow looked both disgusted and shocked. "There's something wrong with you Fluttershy, I gotta tell Twilight and then maybe she can talk some sense into you." She spat and took off not even looking back at the pair.
Fluttershy burst into tears and flew over to Discord. "Look what she did to your poor face." She said sadly and stroked his cheek with her hoof gently.
"Oh, it's nothing my dear." He pulled her close and she sobbed. "I love you too." He whispered into her ear.
She smiled up at him tearfully. "What will we do now though? My friends will be so against us when Rainbow tells them."
He bit his lip and sighed "honestly, I don't know. But one thing I am sure of is that I will love you until the end of time Fluttershy." He felt such desire for the buttercream mare, it almost felt like he was drowning in his own feelings, he wanted her...no needed her.
She nuzzled him happily. He glanced out towards the street. Ponies where starting to come towards the alley because of the commotion that had happened. "let's go before we draw more attention to ourselves, shall we?" He said. She nodded in agreement. He snapped his claw and the teleported away.
Wanting turns to longing

Discord let his body push hers down onto the couch and laid across her as they were making out. She shuddered as he ran his paw down her body to her flank.
"Is this ok?" He asked. He wanted to go further but only if she was ready.
She bit her lip considering everything and then shyly nodded. She decided to give into the passion in her heart.
He massaged her flank and kissed her gently. Letting go of all doubts in his mind and began making her his.

Woken by my tears I watch the rising sun
Feel my fear arise in my tainted heart
"It’s alright” you whisper yet I still could see it wasn’t true
Fluttershy awoke to his body coiled around hers and she blushed after remembering the night before. She managed to crawl out of the Discord cacoon and walked over to the window. The sun was just coming up.
A thought ran across her mind. I can never show anypony who I love because they won't accept him. They will tear us apart including my friends and even now it may be too late, they may already be trying to tear us apart.
Rainbow's angry face invaded her thoughts and how appalled she had been when Fluttershy had admitted she loved the Draconequus.
Tears formed as she thought of this and soon she was sobbing by the window. She loved him more than life itself and now she realized she could never admit that without persecution.
She felt Discord's arms wrap around her and held her close. His voice held a slight sadness as he whispered. "It's alright, my love. Don't cry."
Fluttershy sniffed and smiled warmly at him. She looked curiously at him as she noticed his eyes appeared to be a little redder. And a question ran through her mind.
Have you been crying too?

Fluttershy sat at Twilight's, her friends surrounding her. She glanced at their faces even Pinkie wasn't smiling at her.
"Fluttershy, Rainbow told us everything." Twilight started. "You can't be with him! He is the spirit of chaos itself, not to mention a different species. You need to cut this off. I understand how you think you're in love with him but it's just simply impossible for you to be together."
Fluttershy trembled the serious looks of her friends overwhelming her. She took a breath. "I won't! You've never been in love so you could never know how I feel. Why can't two species be together anyway? Love is love."
Applejack spoke up. "Sugarcube, I'm sorry but it's just wrong. Imagine trying to have a foal with him who knows what would happen. Not to mention the heartbreak as you grow older and he stays the same age."
"It doesn't matter to me! As long as I'm with him that's all that matters, you don't know for sure what would happen if we had a foal so you can't judge our relationship on that. If it had powers like Discord's I could show it to use them for good. I wouldn't care about age either."
Twilight sighed and said "look, if you don't stay away from him. We will be forced to use methods to keep you apart. I'm sorry Fluttershy but that's the end of it."
Fluttershy looked at her friend horrified. "You wouldn't….you wouldn't turn him to stone would you?"
"If it comes down to it. Yes." She replied.
Fluttershy closed her eyes as the tears flowed. "How...how could you, I love him and you're really this determined to keep us apart?" She looked at them. "you're not my friends." And flew out of the castle.
Fluttershy's wing beat fast, traveling towards Discord as fast as she could. I need to see him, I need him to hold me.

A magnet drawn to you,

She entered her cottage and saw him sitting on the couch.
"Fluttershy? What's wrong?"
She broke down and explained everything. He pulled her into his arms. "I'm so sorry." He whispered. "I never meant to put you through so much pain."
She trembled in his arms as he held her from the amount of passion running through her body. His touch still overwhelmed her. "Discord, I love you nothing will ever change that and I regret nothing." She whispered.
He kissed her. "I love you too,my dear Fluttershy."
She kissed him back passionately.
He pulled back from the kiss "Fluttershy?"
"Yes, Discord?"
He looked nervous as he asked " Will you run away with me? We can live happily in my dimension, your friends will never be able to rip us apart there. You can always pop back and forth to care for the animals or they could live with us if you prefer. I know it's a huge decision but will you be with me for eternity?"
She looked at him and kissed his snout without thought. "Yes, of course." She no longer cared about anything but him plus maybe with time her friends would come around. She could hope at least.
He summoned a chalice full of a red liquid and gave it to her to drink. "If you drink this, it will make you immortal like me. If you are sure of your decision we will be together forever."
She looked at it and took a breath and swallowed it. Feeling a powerful feeling wash over her as it worked it's magic on her. She looked at him once the feeling vanished and put her hoof in his claw.
He kissed her and presented her a gold bracelet that had diamond butterflies across the band. She smiled tearfully as he slid it into her foreleg.
"I love you."
"I love you too Discord." She replied
The curtains slid shut and the two silhouettes on the curtains became one.
