//------------------------------// // Episode 6: Forming Friendships // Story: EoH Evolution: Season 6 // by Bahamut0 //------------------------------// Twilight had a problem on her hands. Namely, it was Starlight Glimmer. It wasn't that the girl had done anything wrong recently. No, it was more along the lines that Starlight didn't have many friends. Sure, Starlight had Shadow, but she needed more than just a significant other to have a healthy social life. "Still, I can't just shove her into making a new friend." Twilight muttered to herself. "Being the Princess of Friendship doesn't mean I need to screech in people's faces that they have to immediately find friends. Everyone's got their own pace. Though in Starlight's case, it might be hard to tell if she even has one. Paradox really did a number on her because he struck at her during an incredibly vulnerable spot in her life, and at a really young age, too." "Something troubling you, Twilight?" Nightfall Silver asked as he entered the throne room of the castle. "You look like you've had something on your mind all day." "I'm just trying to figure out how to help Starlight get some friends." Twilight sighed. "I know she's reconciled with Sunburst, but he'll be pretty busy in the Crystal Empire helping Shining Armor and Cadence manage Flurry Heart's magic flare ups." "So what did you have in mind?" Nightfall asked. "Well, I'm gonna try to see if I can get my friends to be her friends too." Twilight smiled. "Sharing is caring after all. Besides, Starlight's talent with magic, she's sure to impress a lot of people!" Unfortunately, Twilight's plan didn't go off as well as she would've liked. At every place she took Starlight, Starlight's use of magic made everyone a bit on-edge as if they thought she was one-up-ing them. "O-kay. Things aren't going so well." Twilight stated as she noticed Starlight's deflated emotional state. "You know, why don't you head to the spa? I'm willing to bet that your efforts have been exhausting." "Yeah. That's one way of putting it." Starlight said with a defeated sigh. "See you back at the castle, Twilight." During her little break at the spa, Starlight found herself in quite the conversation with a patron who was quite literally right behind her. Turns out, the two of them had trying to take over a town in common. Not to mention they'd both been stopped by Twilight and her friends. The pair shared a laugh before Starlight invited her new friend to meet at the castle. Said new friend happily agreed. "Twilight, I'd like you to meet the new friend I made." Starlight announced proudly. "Say hi!" "Hi Twilight." Trixie greeted with a small wave. "Nice new place you have." "Trixie?!" Twilight exclaimed in shock. However, it was only for an instant. "What're you doing back here?" "Taking a break from going on the road. All that time in performing arts school really paid off!" Trixie said with a proud smile. "I even graduated! So where's Ace at? I want to show him how much I appreciate his advice~!" "He should be stopping by soon." Twilight answered as she cautiously noted Trixie's tone. "But you might want to watch yourself with how close you get to him." "Why would I need to do that?" Trixie asked with a puzzled expression on her face. "Ace never acted uncomfortable before when I got close to him." "Well. . . " Twilight would have continued, but was silenced by Arctic Ace opening the door to the castle's library with Sonata latched onto his arm. "Hey there, Twilight." Ace greeted. "Just came by to return this book. Oh, hey Trixie. Didn't know you were in town." "Hi, snow angel~!" Trixie cooed as she bounded over to Ace's side! Playfully nuzzling his wings! She paused when she noticed Sonata glaring at her and protectively tightening her hold on Ace's arm. "Oh, you're that siren from before. What's with the mean look?" "Get your face off my man's wings!" Sonata snapped as she pouted at Trixie! "Ace is MY boyfriend now! Get your own special someone!" "Boyfriend?" Trixie asked. Her eyes then went wide with realization. "Oh, sweetie, I don't like him that way! Ace is cute and all, but he's not my type. Plus, I'm focusing on my career. So no need to worry about a love triangle." ". . . Oh." Sonata blushed furiously in embarrassment! Hiding her face in Ace's other wing! "I'msosorry!" "No harm done, Sonata." Ace chuckled as he put an arm around his girlfriend. "I know you didn't mean anything bad by it. Besides, I'd make Starlight into an ice cube if she breaks Shadow's heart." "You're joking, right?" Starlight asked nervously. "I am. But I don't know if I could say the same for Dark Ice." Ace cautioned. "He threatened to hunt you down if you hurt Shadow intentionally again. And judging by how tightly he was gripping his claymore, I can safely say that he isn't playing around." "Uh, let's get back to a happier topic!" Twilight declared. "Starlight and Trixie are now friends!" "Nice." Ace smiled. "Maybe you should invite Moon over. The three of them did use to be villains." "To think that she gave me good advice while terrifying me at the same time." Trixie muttered to herself. "It looks like she's moved on to better things now, too." "Hey, Trixie?" Starlight asked. "Mind if I show you off to my boyfriend?" "Only if I get to introduce myself with a smoke bomb!" Trixie demanded as she followed Starlight out of the castle! "I refuse to see my friend perform a bland introduction!" "You sure like being flashy, don't you?" Starlight smiled. "Part of my job that's leaked over to my life." Trixie shrugged. "Besides, who doesn't like to make a spectacle once in a while?" "I think I can help with that." Starlight said. "I've picked up a few tricks that could pump up your performances." "Do you know any firework spells?!" Trixie asked excitedly! "Trixie." Starlight smiled. "I think this is the beginning of a wonderful friendship."
