The day of the Knight’s Ceremony came to an end. Knights from Canterlot, The Crystal Empire and Seaquestria all come together for the respect they deserve after they save thousands of their kind. However the only knight who didn’t make it was you. You were told that a filly hippogriff is all alone outside of her kingdom. You decide to find and return her because fillies being lost by themselves is way worse than older citizens.
Unfortunately your search of the hippogriff took longer than you thought. Mainly because fillies can’t navigate the lands of Equestria made it significantly harder for you to find her. By the time you rescued her, the ceremony back at Canterlot was over, which really affects you in your heart.
After you return her back to where she belongs, you rush back to Canterlot as fast as you can. It was almost nighttime as you see brave hippogriffs flying in the air, leaving and heading back to Seaquestria, which made you sign and depressed.
“Great, years of work and dedication down the drain.” You said to yourself. “I know saving the hippogriff was really important but it cost me everything. Meeting tons of rulers, showing my accomplishments and most of all...meeting the princesses I honor the most.” You sighed again, while you tried to think of the positives but then again after tonight, nothing great will ever come out of this. “I guess the only thing I’m getting from this is sleeping in my average mattress.”
During your walk in Canterlot, you came across citizens who were part of the Knight’s Ceremony. They saw how disappointed you are and felt bad for you. They know you deserve more after you missed the Ceremony, not to mention they came across you from time to time once you return from your duties.
You may like the support from the ones you trust, it still wasn’t enough to make up the opportunity you sacrifice. Once you return to the main hallway of the castle, it was still being undecorated. Sunburst, Shining Armor and the ruler of the Changeling Empire, Thorax are having a conversation of the Ceremony that end. The three notice you once you enter the room.
“Your finally came back.” Thorax said.
“But you’re late.” Sunburst added.
“Surprised?” You reacted. “I never thought that finding one filly hippogriff would be so painful.”
“Well Hippogriffs aren’t the same as normal fillies. Was this the first time you rescue a filly hippogriff?”
You paused for a moment to think of the past of rescues you accomplish. You did went to Seaquestria number of times, but never did a serious job for them.
“I guess it was.” You replied.
Sunburst and Thorax were surprised from your answer. The knights they talked who aren’t hippogriffs, did rescue citizens from Seaquestria. Of course they also saved fillies as well but they weren’t as much trouble like you.
“Did the filly swim underwater?” Thorax asked.
“I don’t know, I come across lakes during my trip and I never saw her swim in those.”
“She probably did that in her seapony form for self defense.” Sunburst added. “I guess she’s really scared of being all alone.”
You had no further evidence of the subject since the stress you had cost your dream. “Sorry for being rude, but I need to get some sleep for tonight.” Just when your about to head home, Shining Armor who remain calm during your return prevents you.
“Actually the princesses of the Ceremony order me to give you this.” He gives you a letter which made you surprised.
“They gave me a letter? It even has my name on it!” You reacted.
“Well we have names from all the knights and you’re one of them.” Sunburst recalled.
“The princesses are going to stay in this castle for the night.” Thorax added as he and Sunburst left the hall. They didn’t want to explain much of what’s going on so they can have you read the letter. Shining Armor tries to keep an open mind while also being serious with you.
“After you read everything, please don’t go further on your actions.” He pointed his hoof at you. You became confused from his choice of words.
“Excuse me?”
“You might find out once you read the letter. But still, don’t push your luck.”
After he finished his statement, he left the hall to head back to his kingdom. During this moment, everything in the main hall is back to the way it was. Your all alone without a single sound in your surroundings almost like your in an abandoned castle during your trips outside of Canterlot. With the full moon in the sky, covering it’s light on you from the window, you open the letter as it’s from Princess Celestia.
“Dear most brave and relentless knight,
Me, the princess who’s about to retire momentarily along with her sister, understand that you missed the Knight’s Ceremony. For every knight who appeared in this rare occasion would feel the same way if they ever been in your hoofsteps. But me and my sister saw you whenever you're on time, you’re not only one of the bravest knights in Canterlot, but also deserve more care.
During the final hour of the Knight’s Ceremony, I had a conversation with my sister, Twilight Sparkle, Princess Cadance, Queen Novo and her Daughter that we should spend the night in our bedrooms. We know your going to be exhausted so you have five choices. Me and my sister, Twilight, Cadance, Skystar and Novo.
Once you make your decision, you can sleep with us while we serve you breakfast in the morning. I know this feels off but we want you to feel way better about yourself as a knight in shining armor who prepares for battle for our kingdom. While you missed the ceremony to save a defenceless hippogriff, we promise it will be worth it.

After reading every single word from the three paragraphs, you wouldn't believe it. Having a chance to sleep one of the princesses is something no other knight would ever have. You will spend more time with them just by sleeping by them more than talking to them at the ceremony, but you still have five choices. Those choices for one night was the only thing that made you worried. One princess with four or five sacrificing princesses is a tough decision to make even if the breakfast will make some of it up. You don’t have much time left as you pick your choice wisely with six princesses waiting for you in their bedrooms.
