Pokémon Summer School part 4

Every student was tiered after ghost Pokémon task so Birch decided that they should have day of before the last activity. Luna wanted to train before her next gym, but she was too tired the previous day sap her for energy it sap everyone of energy. They just relax the six day.

Then they last and finally day had arrived, and the gang was having breakfast. Expect Ace, he had overslept. When he finally arrived, he had a shock look on his face.

“You guys would never believe what I saw on my way here.” He said while sitting down with his food. “I saw Sunset and Gary kiss.” That made every one stop eating.

James pushed away his food. “That’s it, I have lost my appetite.” He then folded his arms on the table and place his head in them.

“What do you mean you saw Sunset and Gary kiss?” Luna asked him.

“While walking from my room, I happened to look outside and I saw them, kissing, under a tree.”

Everyone was in shock they would never believe in a million years that those two would hit it on.

Luna tried to comfort James, by rubbing his back. “You ok James?”

“I don’t know.” He lifted his head. “I have known Gary fort six years and I have never seen or heard that he has been interested in the opposite sex, and now this happened.” He rub his face with both hands. “I starting to regret coming here.” He stood up. “I need some air.” He walked out leaving everyone ells with concern of him.

After the breakfast, it was time for final event, a race. Everyone was again at the class rooms to listen to Birch talk over the speakers.

“Students, it’s my honour and pleasure to announce our final activity here at this Pokémon summer school. Without a doubt our biggest program, it’s the Pokémon triathlon. The things you have learn this week will play a key role.”

Then it was Joshua’s turn, he had drawn a circle on the chalk board and something that looked like water and a forest. “The starting line is here at the school and everyone will start simultaneous, we have prepare a Pokéball for each one of you, but you will have no idea which Pokémon is in the Pokéball.”

Luna was listing carefully. ‘That means it will be a luck of the draw.’ For some reason, she was looking forward to this.

Joshua then pointed at the drawing that looked like a forest. “You and your Pokémon will wine your way through the forest and to this lake where you will switch to water Pokémon to cross the lake, after that it’s a sprint to the finish line which back at the school. Also, it quiet important to remember at no one is allowed to attack other teams. First place ears fifty points, second thirty, third place twenty and the rest earns ten points. That means that every student gets a point even if they don’t finished first.”

After they were done, all headed to the front of the school to get ready for the race.

“The red team as this in the bag.” Said Ace with a cocky voice as the gang walk outside.

“And what make you say that?” Lumi asked him.

“Our lead is too big, there’s no way that your team or the green team can catch up.” He told her while putting his arms behind his head.

“Maybe.” All eyes were on James. “If three of members on the blue team get top three or top two, they can win.” Said James.

Ace just snorted. “Whatever, I am going to give it my all. There’s no way I am going to let anyone ells win.” He then hurried to the starting line.

“Man, what an ego.” Said Lumi as she and Luna walked over to another team teammate. “Hey, Jennifer.” The brown hair girl was standing not far from entrance of the school.

Jennifer smiled when she saw Lumi and Luna walking towards her, over the last few days had become good friends. Jennifer had told them that she was from Kalos and that she was going on her journey after the school was done, she had already gotten her first Pokémon, but she said she wanted to go to the school to learn.

“Hey girls, is there something you want?” Jennifer asked them.

“Yes, we were hoping you could help us get first place for team blue. Can’t let the boys win.” Luna ager with her on that.

Jennifer started to rub her arm. “I don’t know, I am not that fast when it comes to running. I was never any good at it when I was younger.”

Luna put a hand on her shoulder. “I am not a strong runner myself, but I am going to do my best and that’s all that matter.” Lumi agreed with that and they agreed that they was going to do their best.

Then it was time for the triathlon to start, everyone was gathered at the starting line. Shadow called back Charmeleon to his Pokédall, he was going to release him in the final part of the triathlon.

Birch was there with nurse Joy, one of them. “Alright, let’s get this Pokémon triathlon started.” Said Birch. “Everyone on your mark.” All of them got ready. Birch hold up a starting gun. “Get set.” He then pulled the trigger. “Go.” And they were off.

Almost every boy started to run as fast as they could while most of the girls hang back, they weren’t as fast as the boys, but they didn’t care that much. As the ran out the gate, James, Ace, Shadow and Gary was in some of the first out and they were first to the first post.

They all took a Pokédall and threw them into the air to see what kind of Pokémon they got. James got a Rhyhorn, Ace got a Dodrio, Shadow a Zebstrika and Gary a Magnezone. They all hope on their Pokémon and was on their way. Ace got an early lead thanks to Dodrio speed, Shadow was right behind him with Gary and James was last.

After they had gone, Jack and Spike arrived with some more students and Sunset was also there. She pushed away the rest so she could pick first, she got a Piloswine. When she saw what she got, she wanted to choose another Pokémon but that was against the rules, she had no choice. Sunset eventually jump on Piloswine went ran faster than a normal one, Sunset had to hold on for her dare life. Jack got a Scolipede and Spike got a Crustle. When they had left, the girls showed up.

There wasn’t much Pokédall left, so they pick what was left. Luna got a Rapidash, Lumi a Sawsbuck and Jennifer a Bouffalant.

Luna hesitated a little to get on Rapidash, she was afraid to get to burned. Then she thought it was no way that professor Birch was going to let the students get hurt. She pushed away her fear and got on Rapidash, she didn’t get burn.

“Alright, let do this Rapidash.” The fire horse Pokémon set of in a blistering speed. Lumi and Jennifer was right behind her, their Pokémon wasn’t that fast, but they were making ground.

High above them was an air balloon with two of Birch assistant, one had a video camera and he was filming the whole thing and Joshua was using microphone to comment the race. “Alright, it the last day of the Pokémon summer school and everything is on the line.”

While Joshua was commentary, Birch was sitting and watching the whole thing on a tv with Joy. They were both impressed by the enthusiasm of the students.

When it came to the race. Luna, Lumi and Jennifer were closing in on the rest of the group, but they were still behind them. “Time to see how fast you are Rapidash, use flame charge.” Rapidash was covert I flames and started to run twice as fast, Luna had to hold on for her life so she wouldn’t fall off. Lumi and Jennifer couldn’t help but stare with their eyes widen as they took off.

When it came to the people and Pokémon at the front. Ace was still leading, Shadow was right behind him then Gary, Sunset had somehow end up in fourth and James right behind her.

Then James heard something coming behind him, he looked over his shoulder and boy he got a shock when he saw what was coming towards him. It was Luna and she was riding a Rapidash and they were coming towards him, fast. “Move out of the way Rhyhorn or we are going to get hit by a flaming Rapidash.” Rhyhorn did as James said and barley managed to get out of the ay in time.

Ace and the others also managed to get out of the way of the rampaging Rapidash. They were astounded by the speed that Rapidash. Not Sunset, she was pissed of that Luna was in front of her.

“There now way I am letting her win, move it Piloswine.” The swine Pokémon started to run again to catch up with Luna, the rest followed after her.

Above them was Joshua in the balloon. “It looked like Ace was going to be the first one to get to the second post first but then Luna and her Rapidash came charging by.” Birch had seen it all on the tv and he was impressed by Luna, she had used Rapidash ability the right way.

Then the rest of the students arrived, Jack and Spike was in the lead of the group, Luma and Jennifer had managed to catch up to them. They were last but not very last.

Thanks to Rapidash speed, Luna had finally reach the lake. She called back Rapidash to its Pokéball. “Thanks, Rapidash.” She placed the Pokéball on an empty box, she then pick a new Pokéball. “Let’s see what I get this time.” She threw the ball and out came something that looked like a giant turtle with cannons on its shoulders. Luna looked at the woman who was sitting by the table with the rest of the Pokéball. “Excuse me, what kind of Pokémon is that?” Luna had never seen it before, so she had to ask.

“That’s is a Blastoise.” The woman was a little surprised that Luna sked her about that.

Luna gave her a smile. “Thanks, let go Blastoise.” The shellfish Pokémon jumped into the water and Luna jump on it shell and they were on their way.

As soon as Luna had left, Sunset and the other arrived. They called back the Pokémon they had used and picked new once. Sunset got a Gyarados, Gary a Tentacruel, Ace a Sharpedo, Shadow a Floatzel and James got a Mantine. They all jump on their Pokémon, that was in the water, and they went after Luna. Somehow, Sunset’s Gyarados was much fast then the other Pokémon.

When they had left, the rest of the group arrived, the called back the Pokémon and chose mew one. Lumi got a Milotic, Jennifer a Mantine, Jack a Jellicent and Spike got a Samurott. They all jumped on their new Pokémon and were one their way.

Luna was still in the lead and she couldn’t help but smile, it was fun begging in the lead. “You are not going to win this time Luna.” Said a voice she knew all too well, Luna looked over her shoulder and saw Sunset coming towards her on a Pokémon she hadn’t seen before, it looked like a Onix but it was blue and its mouth as open. “If anyone is going to win this it’s me.” Sunset said as she passed by Luna.

Luna then saw James and the others coming right behind Sunset. “Not if I can help it. Blastoise, turn around.” The shellfish Pokémon wasn’t sure if he heard right. “Trust me on this, just turn around.” Blastoise stop and did as Luna said. “Now, use hydro pump.” As soon as she said that, water came out from Blastoise’s cannon and the speed was incredible. Luna had to hold on for her dear life a second time to fall off.

Sunset was smiling as she was in the lead and she was winning. “This is to easy.” As soon as those words left her mouth, Luna and Blastoise blasted past her like a missile. Sunset wasn’t sure what she saw. “What the hell was that?” It looked like Luna on a Blastoise, and they were racing backwards.

Birch and Joy, who was watching the whole thing on the tv, had trouble understanding what Luna just did. She had turned Blastoise into a missile by using its cannons, they had never seen that before.

While Sunset was watching where Luna had disappeared to, she didn’t notice that James and the other’s had caught up with her. Lumi, Jennifer, Spike and Jack was also with them. When Sunset saw that, she made Gyarados go faster.

Luna had finally reached the end of the lake, which wasn’t easy, she had some problem steering but she managed. When she reached the shore, she told Blastoise to slow down. Once they had reached the end, she jump of Blastoise and called it back, placed the Pokédall in an empty box that was on a table. She then took out her own Pokédall. “Come out Grovyle.” She threw it and out came the wood gecko Pokémon, ready for action. “Time to run Grovyle.” And that they did, towards the finish line.

Right after Luna had been there, Sunset arrived. She did the same as Luna. “Let’s do this Combusken.” And they ran after Luna.

When Sunset had run of, James and the others had arrived. They did the same as Luna and Sunset, they then ran after them. Then Lumi and her Grotle decided to pick up the pace, they both ran past the boys and in front of them. James was surprised that a Grotle could run faster than himself.

Luna and Grotle was running as fast as they could, well, Grotle could have run faster but he keep pace with Luna considering she couldn’t run as fast as him.

When they arrived at a canyon, Luna looked back and saw that Sunset was catching up. “That’s not good.” It looked like Sunset was fast than herself, she decided to pick up the pace.

“I am not going to let you win Luna.” Sunset shouted at her. Then Sunset saw that they were heading towards a cave. “Time to go on the offensive.” Sunset said with an evil smile as the hey both ran into the tunnel.

Once they were in the tunnel, Sunset made her move. “Use flamethrower Combusken.” Flames came out of its mouth and headed towards Luna.

Grotle saw the attack and tackle his trainer to the ground so she wouldn’t get hit by the flames, Luna had no idea why he did that but then she saw the flames. Once the attack was done, she got up and looked back at Sunset with anger in her eyes.

“What the hell are you doing Sunset? You can’t attack me like that.”

“Why not? Everything is allowed when it’s comes to wining, I am not going to let you win that easy.” Sunset told her with smug look on her face.

“If that’s the case, bullet seed.” Grovyle jumped into the air and fired seed form its mouth, but unlike Combusken, Grovyle didn’t attack Sunset or Combusken but their feet. They both had to move out of the way for the attack, Sunset saw that Luna and Grovyle had started to run again. “Unlike you Sunset, I don’t try to hurt others. See you at the finish line.” Sunset was not happy of what just happened, she ran after them.

Luna was the first one out the tunnel, Sunset was right behind her. They both ran as fast as they could and Sunset managed to catch up with Luna. They ran side by side as they approached the school.

They got closer and closer and as soon they entered the school the could see the finish line, it was a sign with poles on each sides, two of Birch assistants was holding a with tape they were to cross, Birch was holding a checkered flag and was ready to wave it when they crossed the finish line.

Luna and Sunset was starting to get tired and so was their Pokémon, Sunset tried to push a little more but unfortunately, she tripe on her feet and she feel face first into the ground, Combusken stopped to help his trainer.

Luna didn’t know what had happened to Sunset and she crossed the finish line. “And the winner of the Pokémon triathlon is Luna and Grovyle.” Birch wave the flag as soon as she crossed the finish line. Luna wanted to happy, but she fell to the ground trying to catch her breath. She had never run so fast in her entire life and that’s saying something considering how old she was before coming to the human world.

“It’s not fair.” Said Sunset as she got up. “She tripped me.” She told them as she walked to the finish line.

“I did no such thing you trip on your own feet.” Luna told the red haired girl as she stood up, Grovyle help her. “You know what Sunset? I wasn’t going to say anything.” Luna looked over to Birch. “Sunset’s Combusken attack me in tunnel.” She told him while pointing at them.

All eyes were now on Sunset who’s eyes almost pop out of skull. “She is lying, her Grovyle attack me.”

“No, he didn’t, my Grovyle hit the ground to scare you. Professor Birch.” He looked at her. “I admit that my Grovyle attack Sunset but that was after she attack me and, Grovyle never attack her directly, only the ground. I will accept any punishment.”

Birch wasn’t sure what to do, here he had two girls who told him two different things. “I saw the whole thing.” Walking up the finish line was Lumi and her Grotle. “I saw Sunset’s Combusken attack Luna and then Luna’s Grovyle attack the ground in front of Sunset, Grovyle never hit Sunset.”

“She is lying, I never attack Luna and…” That was all Sunset could say.

“SILENC.” They all shut the mouth. “Let’s wait until the rest arrive before I past judgment.” And so, they did.

After the rest of the student had arrived, they heard what happened and waited for Birch to tell what was going to happened. None of students was really happy what Sunset had done and she didn’t really care.

They had all gathered in front of the professor in the school yard. “You all know what happened in the tunnel and after hearing from all three eyewitnesses, I have decided that Sunset is disqualified. There were two who saw her attack another student and that is not allowed. Furthermore, Luna attack Sunset but she only did to ‘scare’ her. Luna did win but after what she did, she have third place.” Luna was happy with that, she though she would get ten points. Sunset on the other hand, didn’t care that she was disqualified, she thought the whole school was a waste of her time.

Birch continued. “That means the winner of the Pokémon triathlon is Lumi.” That made her very happy and the rest congratulated her. “And the second place goes to Jennifer.” Jennifer was probably more happy than Lumi was. “So, this bring out summer school to and end. First, I want to congratulate the blue team on their victory.” Nurse Joy was happy that no of the students wasn’t hurt, considering what Sunset did. All the students then got a plaque as proof they entered the summer school. Luna was proud to have received one.

Then the night arrived and there was a bonfire with food. Luna was sitting alone at one of the tables, she was just looking at her plaque with pride.

“You are going to wear it out if you keep looking at it like that.”

Luna looked to her left as James sat down beside her, she just gave him a smile. “I don’t care, I have never gotten anything like this before.” She looked back at the plaque. “I want to remember this week forever.” She then looked at James again. “Do you know where Sunset it?”

“Yeah, I saw leave after we all got our plaque. I don’t think she was very happy by getting disqualified.” James told her.

Luna wasn’t surprised at all she didn’t think that Sunset would chance at all while at the school and she was right. Maybe another time.
