"And you're absolutely certain we have to do this?" Twilight Sparkle huffed as she looked at her friend with a rather perturbed face. "And we have to do it at my house!?" She huffed once more.
"Well my Apartment's too small and your parents are out of town for the next month at that retreat in Luna Bay, so I just figured...." Sunset nervously smiled as she attempted to explain the situation to her less then thrilled friend. "Besides, you're gonna be a doctor someday anyway right, so this can be like.....practice!" The nervous unicorn in human clothing added.
Twilight Just rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. "I'm not studying to be that kind of doctor and you know it, but fine!" She reluctantly agreed. And just as the two finished their conversation the Dazzlings tour bus turned the corner and began to draw towards them.
As the bus made its stop at the edge of an unfamiliar driveway, its occupants were less then thrilled. They had tried so hard to leave Canterlot City behind them, but here they were, once again stuck in a place that seemed to have some sort of sick inescapable magical magnetism.
"Well, let's get this over with." Adagio sighed as the back began to open, Sonata lowering the ramp as Aria pushed her Elder sister out in her new wheel chair er, mobile throne.
When the three got out of the vehicle they expected their hosts to greet them. But there was just a long awkward silence as Sunset and Twilight seemed to just stare in disbelief at Adagio.
"Take a picture Rainbrooms! It'll last longer!" She sneered with a slight hiss in her voice. As she glared with ice cold daggers at her less then tactful potential caregivers.
"Oh my Celestia I am so soo sorry!" Sunset apologized after she realized she had been staring. "I know you told us over the phone, but seeing it in person really, well I guess it doesn't feel real until you see it" Sunset awkwardly blushed, not wanting to offend the girl any further. "We, ah we should go in!" Sunset quickly stated as she quickly ran towards the door, Twilight following close behind.
"Pfft, freaking Dweebs man!" Aria huffed under her breath.
"Tell me about it!" Adagio's agreed. "But I guess there's nothing we can do about it for now." She sighed. "Let's go inside and see if this hovel is up to our standards shall we?" Adagio chuckled as Aria pushed her forward, Sonata following close behind.
Adagio looked around the room, it was quaint a medium sized guest bedroom with no windows but a large fan/light combo, a vanity with a rather gaudy trim around its mirror, a bed with violet sheets facing the door with small night stands on each side each containing a lamp.
"I know its not much" Twilight admitted "But really this room isn't used much, I think my Aunt was the last person to use it and that was about seven or eight years ago at this point"
"Well it works good enough I suppose." Adagio sighed as she wheeled herself over to the bed and then signaled for her sisters to come assist her. Both of the other Dazzlings rushing to her side. Aria picking her up from the Wheel Chair and placing her on the bed as Sonata pushed back the covers. Then Sonata pulled something out of her purse and placed it on the nightstand.
"Its her pain pills, just in case she needs them" Sonata awkwardly explained looking straight at Sunset and Twilight with a half hearted smile. Meanwhile Aria continued to tuck Adagio into bed and finished by putting her sleep mask on.
"Thank you darlings, that will be all for now" Adagio exclaimed as she motioned to sho them away.
"Are, are you sure you don't want a glass of water or anything?" Sunset asked concerned.
"No, I said I'm fine. Now leave me to my rest, if I need you I'm sure you'll know" Adagio huffed as she motioned for them to leave. Sunset was reluctant at first but eventually gave in and she and Twilight left the sleepy siren be as they took Aria and Sonata back down stairs with them.
Back downstairs in Twilight's living room the air was tense as a highly wound clock. Fluttershy who had been too terrified to move at the sight of the Dazzlings when they had first entered the house took a large gulp and broke the awkward silence.
"S-so how are things?" She nervously asked the two girls sitting on the couch.
"How do you think they're going?" Aria growled looking at Fluttershy like an angry lion would at a Hyena trying to steal its food.
"Hey, now, there's no need to get mad at Fluttershy! She's just trying to be a good host!" Sunset snapped! "We all are!"
"Oh Yes, thank you for forcing your friend into letting us bum at her place until we can figure out what to do with our sister you crippled!" Aria snarled back in reply.
"W-what!" Sunset huffed. "How can you blame this on us! We weren't even there!" Sunset huffed!
"Didn't have to be there, it's you and your stupid friends fault we don't have our magic so its your fault Adagio is hurt!" Aria rebutted sticking out her tounge, causing Sunset's face to go red with anger.
"OK, first off.." Twilight interrupted. "I'm not even the same Twilight you faced at the battle of the band's, and secondly it's hardly fair to blame a admitingly tragic but random misfortune on someone who's trying to help you!" Twilight scolded as she pushed up her glasses.
"Well first off..." Aria mocked "I don't care if you're the same Twilight or not! You're still a Rainboom and you're still a loser!" Aria chided.
"That's enough!!" Sonata shouted at Aria
"Sunset, Twilight and their friends are trying to help us! You shouldn't be so mean to them!" Sonata exclaimed as she began to cry "Adagio said we needed to be on our best behavior, but you aren't behaving at all!!" Sonata cried as she ran into the kitchen.
"Pfft...whatever" Aria huffed as she began towards the front door to go back out to the tour bus and pout
"Oh my....what now?" Fluttershy asked Sunset.
"Now, we call in the rest of the crew. If we're gonna be Siren Sitting for the foreseeable future, we're gonna need all hands on deck." Sunset stated. Twilight just rubbed her temples, what in sweet Starswirl's name had Sunset gotten them into!?
