A Horror Filled Night at 13 Dead End Drive

2. Meeting Some of the Staff

The seven friends separated to look around the mansion. Rarity looks at herself in a mirror and realized something terrible.
“Oh no!” Rarity shouted. “I forgot to wash my hair this morning. It’s a tangled mess!”
Rarity was then approached by a bubbly multi color haired lady wearing a blue jacket, multicolored shirt, and deep pink pants. She heard Rarity’s cries and attempts to comfort her.
“Hair emergency?” The lady said. “I can fix that. To the bathroom!”
Later, in the bathroom, the lady washed Rarity’s hair in the sink, then used her blow dryer and hair brush to help make Rarity’s hair beautiful.
“My hair looks much better.” Rarity cheered. “Thank you, Miss..uh.....”
“Call me Spritzy.” The lady replied. “I was Miss Agatha’s hair stylist.”
“You were associated with Julie’s aunt too?”
“Many people around this place are. If I had that fortune Julie has, I would open up my own hair salon. Hair stylists make big bucks that way.”
Meanwhile, outside in a garden, Fluttershy is amazed by its beauty.
“This garden is lovely.” Fluttershy said out loud. “These flowers look beautiful. And, I see fruits and vegetables growing. A true work of nature.”
“Thank you.” Said the voice of an old man.
Fluttershy saw and old man wearing bib overalls, a magenta shirt, boots, and bow tie. She thinks he’s the one taking care of the area.
“Did you take care of everything in this garden?” Fluttershy asked.
The old man smiled and gave her an answer. “That I did. My name is Hickory. I work here as the gardener.”
“I’ll bet the family of this mansion appreciates your hard work. I know I do.”
“Thank you, young lady. Miss Julie likes my work too. You know, if I inherited Miss Agatha’s fortune, I would create a horticultural type theme park. Wouldn’t that be a hoot?”
Fluttershy thought it was a crazy idea. But, she went along with him. In an area with art masterpieces, Pinkie Pie looks at the pictures and statues when she saw something weird.
It was a strange woman with curly black hair and wearing a blue robe. She sits at a table with what looks like a crystal ball. She speaks in a foreign tone. “Would you like me to tell your future, Miss?”
“Who are you?” Pinkie asked.
“I am Madame Astra.” The woman answered. “I was Miss Agatha’s fortune teller. Now, I serve her niece, Julie.”
Pinkie is interested. “A fortune teller. That sounds interesting. What do you see in your crystal ball?”
Madame Astra looks in her crystal ball. After two minutes, her eyes widened.
“Beware, Miss Pinkie Pie.” Madame Astra said with concern. “You and your friends are in great danger!”
Pinkie got worried. In another room, Twilight Sparkle was looking at books on shelves. Then, she heard the voice of a serious woman. Twilight then saw a brown haired woman wearing glasses and a lavender business outfit. This woman has a calculator and paper in front of her.
Twilight watches in silence. Soon, the woman stops, and looks at Twilight.
“Oh, hello there.” The woman said in a deep voice. “Can I help you with something?”
“Sorry for intruding.” Twilight replied. “I was interested of your work with numbers, Miss.......”
“My name is Prudence. And, I am an accountant.”
This got Twilight interested. “You handle the finances for Julie and her family?”
“Yes, I do.” Prudence answered. “I used to help Miss Agatha’s with her finances. Believe it or not, that woman earned her fortune through investing in kitty litter.”
“A kitty litter fortune? I guess some people make their money in unusual ways.”
“I agree with that, young lady. Even with this fortune, Julie’s parents still have their jobs. No doubt to keep money in the bank.”
“That’s not a bad idea.”
As Twilight enjoys talking to Prudence, Applejack admires a portrait of an old woman over the fireplace.
“So, that’s Julie’s aunt, Agatha.” Applejack said out loud. “She must’ve lived a long life.”
Then, another female voice replied to her comment. “She sure has.”
Soon, a charming African American woman wearing a white lab coat walks in to meet Applejack.
“Where did y’all come from?” Applejack asked.
“Don’t be scared.” The woman replied. “I like meeting new people. My name is Charity. I was Miss Agatha’s doctor.”
Applejack’s eyes widened. “A doctor? That means you’ve been taking care of Julie and her family.”
“That’s right. I take care of them as I took care of Miss Agatha.”
Applejack looks at the portrait. “Miss Agatha looks so elegant. She even has her cat, Poopsie, with her.”
“Miss Agatha has two pets.” Charity informed.
“Two?”
“Yes. She also had a dog named Pugsley. That puppy is still roaming about.”
Charity then told Applejack a dark secret. “If I had that fortune instead of Julie, I would open up my own clinic.”
“Seems like everyone here had plans for Miss Agatha’s fortune.” Applejack figured.
“I guess so.”
Outside, at a tennis court area, Rainbow Dash watches a blonde haired young man wearing a white shirt and white shorts practicing his tennis techniques.
“Those were awesome moves.” Rainbow said as she applauded. “I’m not usually into tennis. But, you are grand.”
“Thanks.” The young man replied. “I could teach you how to play tennis someday.”
“You’re a tennis coach?”
“That’s right. My name is Clay. I was destined to play tennis professionally. But, I hit a snag in those plans. So, I started to teach Miss Agatha how to play the game.”
Rainbow Dash was impressed with that story. “Have you been teaching Julie how to play tennis?”
“I think Julie is more into karate than tennis.” Clay answered. “But, she brought some friends over who are into this sport.”
“Maybe. What do you think of Julie and her family inheriting Miss Agatha’s fortune?”
“I can live with it. But, if it was me, I’d use the money to go pro.”
Rainbow Dash chuckled silently hearing that answer. Meanwhile, Sunset Shimmer entered the living room when she saw a lovely young lady with curly red hair and wearing a maid’s outfit cleaning a table. Sunset Shimmer checks this girl out carefully.
“Mmmm.” Sunset cooed. “She sure is beautiful.”
The maid turns around and addresses Sunset with a southern accent. “Thank you, darling.”
Sunset got surprised as her face turns red.
“Don’t worry, friend.” The maid said. “I’m happy that anyone thinks I’m gorgeous. My name is Dusty. And, I’m the maid of this place.”
Sunset Shimmer was very amazed. “Isn’t cleaning a mansion like this by yourself tiring?”
“At first.” Dusty answered. “But, I got used to it after serving Miss Agatha for a few years.”
“Does Julie and her family help you?”
“They do. And, I appreciate them for it.”
A twisted thought came to Sunset’s mind. “Julie said the staff and other characters fought each other for Miss Agatha’s fortune before she came along. You have any plans for all of that money?”
“Well,” Dusty started to answer, “I would have plenty of jewels on my person. Even a maid needs some bling. You know?”
“Who doesn’t?”
