Slowly Henry's eyes opened, his original bedroom surrounded him, sitting up quickly he looked around smiling "yes! It was just a dream…" he froze...his voice still sounded like a child's, he looked down finding the filly body "dammit! So this is a dream….wait….this feels familiar."
"As it should" his original voice spoke from around him.
"Fuck no….not you…." Henry scrambled back in his bed until his back pressed against the wall "where are you?!"
"Oh around hehehehehehe, I saw what happened today, you were having so much fun with your little filly friends" he mocked as his voice echoed.
"It was a relief from the shit I've been through…. anyone would do the same…" Henry defended himself.
"Aw a man defending himself for playing with children, adorable" he chuckled.
"Screw you! Your just a nightmare freak!" Henry yelled out into the room.
"Am I? How can you be sure the world you were just in wasn't the dream?" The voice circled him and drilled within his mind, what if all that he had just experienced was the dream? No it may be strange weird but so was this world…
"Your lying….I know you are.." Henry clenched his teeth "that worlds more real then this one...there are people there who care about me…"
"It's cute how hard you try and lie to yourself….you think they care? Your nothing but an inconvenience to them…" the voice hissed as a glowing circle appeared in front of Henry, In it he saw cmc being scolded by their guardians
"Applebloom you will not be playing with these again, obviously you three can't stay out of trouble together" Applejack scolded Applebloom.
"Applejack is right, Sweetie Belle you will be joining me in manehatten on my trip there, there maybe you can learn to be a proper mare" Rarity huffed.
"If your parents found out about what you've been doing they no doubt would agree that you shouldn't be with these two" Scootaloo's aunt said.
"your actions have caused these three punishment for something you did, and all they wanted was to have fun with a new friend…." The voice taunted.
Henry shook his head "I'll tell Twilight it was my fault! She'll have to believe me!"
"Oh? What for? All you've told her so far has been lies, your an innocent filly, one who doesn't remember it's name, one with no parents….oh wait….that one's true" the voice erupted into wicked laughter.
Henry covered his ears with his hooves "shut up!"
"Touched a nerve I see hehe, well let's find another to tickle then shall we? Someone you also caused trouble for" The glowing circle changed to show Twilight pacing in her bedroom while spike sat on the bed.
"I don't know what to do spike...I feel like I made the wrong choice taking her in...I was able to raise you but only with the help of my parents, he can I possibly raise her?? Especially when she so...so…" Twilight couldn't think of the word.
"Childlike? Twilight she's a filly, the cmc have done things far worse then she has" Spike free to reason.
"Yes but I feel like she specifically doesn't listen to me...maybe I should see if an orphanage could take her…." Twilight sighed.
The scene faded from the circle leaving a white abyss.
Henry shook looking from the circle to then down at the bed, she was considering putting him in an orphanage?
"You felt something you hadn't in a while from her hm? How sad it seems she didn't feel the same" it chuckled coldly.
"Shut up!!!" Henry yelled as tears filled his eyes.
"Ah there's the nerve! Now let's go for another!" The circle glowed once more before showing another scene "he people you were trouble to most of all"
Henry looked confused before he saw the scene in the circle, he shook his head as he watched, Henry's parents were getting into their car both looking upset.
"This is the third time this week he's gotten in trouble" Henry's mother said with a sigh.
"If he keeps this up their just going to kick him out again" Henry's father huffed starting the car and driving towards the school.
"What are we supposed to do?...nothing we say he listens to…" Henry's mother said sadly.
"Maybe we can she'd him away? Get some help...then we wouldn't have to deal with him" Henry's father spoke, his eyes focused on the road but a smile on his face, he then looked to his wife just entire a truck came driving out from the left and slammed into their car.
Henry shut his eyes covering them with his notes "stop...please stop…." He sobbed shaking.
"Everyone you come near you cause them pain...your brother….I wonder what he is experiencing now? Now that you've left him alone...I wonder if he feels pain...sadness….or maybe relief? Maybe even joy? With you gone he won't have to suffer from the one who took his parents away" the voice snickered.
Henry was curled up in a ball shaking,he was trying to shut out the laughter, he just wanted to wake up from this nightmare, he wanted to be back home with his brother.
Thunder boomed shaking Henry from his thoughts, looking around in panick he found he was back in the room in Twilight's castle, shaking he quickly got out of bed and scrambled out of the room, walking down the dark hall he could hear his heart beating in his ears, the tears still running down his face as he walked.
"I'll send them a message in the morning...they'll help with her" Twilight huffed.
Henry burst ink the room running into Twilight's legs and hugging them "please don't send me away!" He sighed in Twilight's legs "I'm sorry...I'm sorry I didn't mean to be bad."
Twilight looked down at Lightning Burst surprised and frowned "its..it's ok Lightning" she picked her up and set her on the bed "what are you talking about? I would never send you away."
Henry sniffled "b-but you said you were sending a message to the orphanage."
"What? Oh no I was sending a message to my parents, they helped me raise spike and they raised both me and my brother, so they can help me raise you" Twilight frowned "and if you thought I would put you in a orphanage just because you accidentally caused some smashed in town, I obviously need their help more then I thought" she huffed.
Henry sniffled "i-im sorry" he hung his head.
"No no it's ok" Twilight climbed into the bed and laid down next to Henry "we just….need to learn from each other"
Henry nodded and cuddled up to her sniffling softly.
Spike nodded to Twilight as he soft the room quietly, Twilight nodded back and looked down at Lightning, she nuzzled her.
"I'm sorry I'm not how you want me to be…" Henry closed his eyes feeling more tears fill his eyes.
"No your perfect the way you are Lightning, I wouldn't want to change you at all" Twilight draped a wing over her "how about tomorrow...I ask Rainbow Dash to give you some lessons on flying?"
"I thought I was grounded?..." Henry looked up at her.
"You've been punished enough obviously" she pushed some of Lightning's mane out of her face.
"Ok" he smiled softly leaning into her and closed his eyes, he slowly drifted off to sleep in her embrace.
Henry yawned waking up, memories of last night returning and making him snuggle back into the warm blanket that surrounded him, whatever this blanket was made of made him feel safe and comfortable, rubbing his cheek against it he smiled.
A soft chuckle caused Henry's ear to swivel, opening his eyes he found Twilight looking down at him with a smile on her face, looking around he realized the comfy blanket was actually Twilight,blushing he looked up at her.
"Morning Lightning" Twilight spoke softly with a smile "feeling better?"
Henry nodded "yeah...th-thanks for letting me sleep here…"
"There's no need to thank me, you were pretty upset last night, I'm glad I could make you feel better" Twilight nuzzled Lightning.
Henry closed his eyes enjoying the nuzzling, deep inside he felt something he hadn't in a long time, a warmth that he believed had long extinguished now seemed to be ablaze and filling him.
"I-iI love you mom" he said softly, thought Twilight had heard causing her eyes to widen along with his own.
"Hey Twilight? You didn't go back to sleep did you?" Rainbow Dash called as she entered the room and saw them "oh good your still up, reaaally would have been lame if I flew all the way here and you fell back asleep after you said me and little Lightning could have a flying lesson"
Twilight was sitting there looking down at Lightning Burst shocked, like in a trance she was motionless just staring.
"Uh Twilight?" Rainbow Dash walked over waving her hoof in front of her face "helloo? Twilight?....Twilight!!"
Twilight shook her head snapping out of her thoughts "wha Huh? Oh Rainbow Dash your here...um oh here" she levitated Lightning Burst onto Dash's back.
"What was that about Twi?" Dash asked confused.
"uh you two have fun bye!" Twilight pushed Rainbow Dash and lighting out of the room before slamming the door closed, she then turned her back to it her thoughts returning to what Lightning had said.
Henry was sitting on Rainbow Dash's back deep in thought and in shock, he had no idea why he said what he did to Twilight.
"Well...that was weird" Dash was looking at the door endearing what just happened, she then looked at the small yellow filly on her back, she spotted the same confused and shocked looks at Twilight did, she had a pretty good idea who this filly was taking after already which she would not allow "alright kid I'm gonna teach you how to be Awesome like me, Rainbow Dash the Wonderbolt" she waited for the filly's reaction...but she just looked at her.
Henry looked at the blue pony 'am...am I supposed to know what a Wonderbolt is?...is...is like a job?...or title?...she's just staring at me…' Henry looked left and right before putting on a smile "cool…."
Rainbow Dash huffed "c'mon you mean you don't like the Wonderbolt's?"
"I..don't actually know what that is…" Henry said slowly.
"WHAT?!?" Dash yelled looking at the filly shocked, it was as if Equestria just broke in half and put a top hat on to do a magic trick, a filly pegasus didn't know who the Wonderbolt's where?!
Henry immediately regretted his decision to tell the truth as the made he sat on looked like her entire world had shattered.
"They are like only the coolest pegesi in Equestria!! Everyone knows who they are!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she flew up in the air.
Henry doing to her tightly once they left the ground "uh-uh c-can we maybe get back on the ground please? I-im not very good with heights."
Dash looked at the filly for a few seconds "WHAT?!?!" She yelled.
"What does everything I say to you break your mind?!?!" Henry yelled back.
"That's it! We're teaching you to fly!" Dash zipped out down the halls and out of the castle before landing on the grass a few feet from it, she set the filly down who now looked dizzy and confused.
"How we get outzide?" Henry slurred stumbling around as his eyes rolled around in his head.
"I'm pretty fast, now lesson one….uhh" she suddenly realized she didn't actually plan this out "um just flap your wings up and down."
Henry shook his head freeing himself from the dizziness "Oh it's that simple huh?" He asked sarcastically, dash simply just frowned at him and he huffed before flapping his wings up and down only when his left wing went up his right would go down "ugh...this are...nch so hard to control...no down...why are you going up?? Ughhhh"
Dash held a hoof up to her mount to keep herself from laughing, Scootaloo at least was able to get both her wings to flap the same "uh ok here try and take it slow."
Henry looked at her and huffed before her raised both wings and then lowered them, he repeated this for a couple seconds.
"Alright good now let's move them a little faster" Dash smiled.
Henry flapped his wings faster keeping them going the same.
"A little faster."
Henry flapped faster.
"Little more."
Henry moved them faster starting to sweat, these wings were heavier than they looked.
"Faster."
Henry strained to move them faster and clenched his eyes closed as he tried to move them faster.
"Yes your doing great! Just keep that speed up...and uh...maybe open your eyes…" Dash liked the progress though she knew flying with your eyes closed was a dangerous thing.
Henry opened his eyes expecting to see Rainbow Dash in front of him...only it was just blue sky, looking around he saw more sky and the castle though higher up, looking down he saw he was a few feet off the ground, gasping his wings spasmed and he kicked his legs around, the ground blurred.
Rainbow Dash's eyes widened "uh close your eyes! It's ok just um uh imagine your on the ground and keep those wings moving!"
Henry held his eyes closed and kept flapping his wings, his breathing was sporadic and he was panting, he was not good with heights he hasn't been since he was a kids they were just to damn much for him.
"C'mon kid just breath and picture yourself on the ground" dash was getting ready to fly up and catch Lightning if things went bad.
Henry breathed in and out slowly while trying to picture himself on the ground, slowly his breathing calmed and his wings spasmed less and less before they were flapping regularly.
Dash smiled happily "you did it kid, you're doing great!"
Henry smiled softly at the praising, he may not be able to look down but he was flying! Heights suck but flying rules! He could fly now! He could maybe even go as fast as Rainbow Dash did in the castle, that's make traveling way easier! And wagon races would be easy.
Dash noticed the smile on Lightning's face widening her own smile "sweet knew she'd like flying once she did it, now all I gotta do is bring her to Wonderbolt training show off my skills and I'll be seeing a new fan in club in no time, she may even make it into the Wonderbolt's with some more practice, she's going so fast it looks like she got lightning around her wings" dash watched Lighting bursts wings move faster, it really did look like she had lighting going across her wings...wait...she did!!
Dash stood shocked as she watched lighting spark across...Lighting's wings, the lighting crackled and started forming a ball around her until Lighting was fully engulfed in a ball of lightning.
Henry winced as he felt stinging go across his wings 'ngh think I pushed myself to far...wings are started to burn...pulled a muscle I think…' the burning soon traveled up his wings and across his body slowly increasing in pain "ngh gah...d-dash" he whinned in pain before erupting into a scream of pain as he felt burning pain engulf his white body "AAAAHHHHH!!!! M-MAKE IT STOP!!!"
Dash's eyes widened and she flew up to Lightning "h-hold on!!" She flew at the ball but was blown backwards as a bolt of electricity shot out hitting her, smoke came off the spot it struck and she winced.
Henry screamed in pain and thrashed around inside the ball of electricity, his eyes now open and glowing yellow.
Dash gasped before flying away, after flying twenty feet away she rocketed back towards Lighting leaving a trail of rainbow behind her before shooting through the electricity and snatching the filly and zoomed out the other side skidding across the ground, smoke came off her body as some of her fur, mane, and tail had burned from the electricity.
She looked at the ball of electricity that shrunk down before vanishing in a pop of sparks, looking down at Lightning she found she had passed out no doubt from the pain, she quickly picked her up and flew back inside the castle.
Twilight paced lost in her thoughts 'she called me mom….and said she loved me….no no maybe she said something else like...I dove hugh mob….that..doesn't make sense, and she definitely said mom...plus I don't think she knows any mobs...hopefully…'
She felt both confused and strangely happy, she didn't know why but when Lightning had said that a warmth filled her chest and made her heart beat faster, she saw Twilight as her mom and that would make Lightning her daughter...why did that make her so happy?
Suddenly the door burst open as Rainbow Dash flew in "Twilight! Something happened to Lightning while I was helping her fly!!" He held the unconscious body of Lightning Burst.
Twilight's eyes went wide and she teleported up to dash beginning to fly once she was there, she quickly grabbed Lightning Burst "oh Celestia what happened?!?!"
"While she was flying sh-" Dash got cut off in the middle of explaining.
"We need to take her to a hospital!" Twilight yelled in panic before she vanished from teleportation.
Dash quickly flew out the window to get the others and bring them to the hospital.
