Apple Lagoon - Apple Plaza
As Applejack and her friends went down the path, they saw a giant magnifying glass that was focusing sunlight onto a beach towel, where a burn mark in the shape of a Rabbid was.
"The lesson here is to never lie out under a giant magnifying glass unless you already have a good base tan." Beep-0 explained to his friends.
"Guess he learned it the hard way." Applejack joked as everyone slowly walked past the scene.
"Before we continue, we should upgrade your Skill Trees." Beep-0 suggested, with Rabbid Rarity agreeing but Applejack and Rabbid Granny had questions.
"What're Skill Trees?" Applejack asked.
"Bwah bwa-bwah bwa-bwa?" Rabbid Granny asked.
"It's a system that let's your upgrade your skills in battle. And while Power Orbs unlock them back in Equestria, it appears that those Runes you've gotten after completing battles work the same way here." Beep-0 explained. "And no, the Skill Tree doesn't have maple syrup for pancakes, Rabbid Granny."
"Bwaaaah…" Rabbid Granny groaned in disappointment.
"Well, let's check it out!" Applejack confidently shouted.
"Awesome! Remember you can access it anytime through the Battle HQ." Beep-0 stated as he opened up the Battle HQ.
Applejack used 2 of her Runes to increase how much damage she can deal to an enemy when bucking them.
Rabbid Rarity used 2 of her Runes to increase the damage dealt when dashing an enemy.
Rabbid Granny used 2 of her Runes to increase how much damage her Freeze Blast deals to an enemy.
After Beep-0 closed the Battle HQ, the team continued down the path and entered the next battlefield, where they saw Hoppers wearing helmets made from coconuts with broken pieces strapped to them with string and green feathers at the top and front, and 3 piles of the Megabug-contaminated apples.
"Bad Apples - they may sound like an indie band, but it's actually the source of Rabbid Jack's newfound powers." Beep-0 explained. "Rabbid Jack has minions stockpiling them for her everywhere. We have no choice but to destroy the Bad Apples on sight."
"As much as I can't stand good apples goin' to waste, we can't let that Rabbid get anymore power. I'll do what I gotta do." Applejack confirmed as she took her place on the battlefield.
"Bwa-Bwaaah!" Rabbid Rarity and Rabbid Granny cheered as they joined Applejack.
Destroy Bad Apples - 3 Hoppers (Bad Apple Piles: 3)
Applejack entered a pipe leading to the first high area where the first batch of Bad Apples are. She ran over to a Honey cover and bucked it towards the first Hopper, sticking him in place. She then threw her Boomerang at him, damaging him and the Bad Apples, and activated her Hero Sight.
Rabbid Granny entered the same pipe and got a Team Jump from Applejack, Freeze Blasting the Bad Apples in the process. She blasted the Bad Apples, destroying the first batch. She activated her Stink Eye.
Rabbid Rarity entered the pipe as well and hid behind a partial cover. She blasted the Hopper that was still on the ground.
All 3 Hoppers activated their Super Shields, which is similar to Rabbid Rarity's Shield, but is stronger and grant the activator complete immunity to an enemy's first attack. Since one was still stuck by Honey, he only blasted Applejack. The 2nd one ran to a nearby partial cover and got hit by Applejack's Hero Sight, which deactivated his Super Shield, and Rabbid Granny's Stink Eye. He then blasted Applejack. The 3rd Hopper hopped down from his high area and ducked behind a full cover. He blasted Applejack which triggered a Bounce effect, sending her flying out of the battlefield.
Rabbid Rarity got down from the high area and hid behind a nearby full cover. She then blasted the Ziggy behind the partial cover and activated her Shield.
Applejack used her lasso to swing to the second high area where the next batch of Bad Apples were. She bucked a Burn cover at the pile and threw her Boomerang at it.
Rabbid Granny entered a pipe leading to the second high area and got a Team Jump from Applejack, Freeze Blasting the Bad Apples. She blasted the pile, destroying the second batch. She decided to use a different technique called the Long Story, which puts nearby enemies to sleep with a boring story, and put a nearby Hopper to sleep.
The Hopper that was still in the first high area moved to a nearby partial cover and attempted to blast Rabbid Rarity, but missed due to the full cover.
The Hopper that was on the ground hid behind the corner of the high area and blasted Rabbid Granny.
2 pairs of Rabbid ears burst from the ground.
Applejack bucked Rabbid Granny to the high area where the final batch of Bad Apples was, and used her lasso to swing across a couple high areas to join her. She then threw her Boomerang at the pile.
Rabbid Granny got a Team Jump from Applejack and Freeze Blasted the Bad Apples. She then blasted the batch, destroying them and ending the battle.
The heroes cheered as they were healed and rewarded 950 apples and 3 Runes.
"Ya know... that battle felt way longer than it should've been." Applejack pointed out.*
"They'll get longer as we go along. For now let's be glad that we destroyed some of Rabbid Jack's power supply." Beep-0 told Applejack.
"Yer right, now that we destroyed some of the Bad Apples, we can focus on findin' those keys." Applejack said as she exited the battlefield with Rabbid Rarity and Rabbid Granny following her.
"I can't help but feel bad seeing an Apple have to destroy apples for the greater good." Beep-0 thought to himself before joining the others.
