Twilight Sparkle was in her tower and was lying on her bed reading a book. But as much as she tried, she couldn’t concentrate. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. She went down the stairs and opened the door. She was surprised to see Sunset Shimmer, “Sunset! I’m glad to see you”
“Thank you, Twilight. I came here to start writing a plan”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon will not suspect?” asked Twilight Sparkle with apprehension.
“I doubt it. It’s night, and I’m sure Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker are busy watching us”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“OK. If you think so”, said Twilight Sparkle as she motioned for Sunset Shimmer to come in.
“I went up to the throne room and saw Nightmare Moon busy. While Daybreaker went for a walk, possibly to destroy anything she has in her way”, said Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle started to get worried. What if Daybreaker tries to destroy her too, just because she tries to stop her?
“Twilight? Are you okay?” asked Sunset Shimmer, seeing Twilight Sparkle’s nervous expression.
“Yes. I’m just nervous”, replied Twilight Sparkle. Not being a complete lie.
“With what?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“What if Daybreaker tries to destroy us? What if she tries to destroy me?” asked Twilight Sparkle nervously.
“Twilight, if Daybreaker didn’t destroy us when we tried to save her, why would she destroy somepony she loves?” said Sunset Shimmer. “And besides, don’t you want to save your mentor?”
“Yes. But what if Daybreaker just faked it? What if Nightmare Moon has faked too?” said Twilight Sparkle in a panic.
“Look, Twilight. They would never hurt us. Shall we focus on making a plan?” said Sunset Shimmer.
“Yeah. You’re right. Sorry for making you wasted time”, said Twilight Sparkle, staring at the floor.
Sunset Shimmer went to Twilight Sparkle, “No need to apologize. Let’s go now?”
“Come on”, agreed Twilight Sparkle.
It was another night, and Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon were in the dining room. For some reason, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were slow to arrive.
“Why is Sunset taking so long?” asked Nightmare Moon, already impatient.
“Maybe she’s still sleeping?” suggested Daybreaker.
Suddenly, a memory popped into her mind. She remembered when Sunset Shimmer appeared at the door, and there was sleep present on her face. Sunset Shimmer had said she had stayed up late and didn’t sleep as much as she should. Nightmare Moon smiled at the memory. Suddenly the dragon slits changed to normal pupils. It had tears in her eyes, Sunset, you like my night ... how I didn’t notice before?
“Nightmare Moon? Are you okay?” asked Daybreaker.
Normal pupils were once again dragon slits, “yeah, I’m fine”
Suddenly, the door opened, revealing Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer.
“At last you two finally came”, said Daybreaker.
After they finished eating, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer went to one of their castle rooms, “so? You know the next part of the right plan?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Yes, Twilight”, Sunset Shimmer grabbed her backpack. While Twilight Sparkle was picking up her pack.
Nightmare Moon was on her new throne, doing real duties. She heard the door open and took her eyes off the parchment.
“Oh. Hi, Sunset”, smiled Nightmare Moon.
“Hi, Lu ... Nightmare Moon,” said Sunset Shimmer. “I’m going to go to Ponyville for a walk, okay?”
“Sure, Sunset”, said Nightmare Moon.
Twilight Sparkle was in the Sunset Shimmer room waiting for her. The door opened, “she said yes. Let’s go”
Twilight Sparkle smiled at that.
When they arrived in Ponyville, they headed toward Everfree Florest to see if the key could be in that old castle. When they arrived, they searched everywhere, “it isn’t here. Is it in Canterlot Castle? “ asked Sunset Shimmer, before looking back.
“Possibly”, said Twilight Sparkle.
When Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer arrived at the castle, they began to search everywhere in the castle. But so far, no key, “Where did they put that key?”
“I don’t know. But whatever they hid, it was a good hiding place“, said Twilight Sparkle.
“Wait. There’s a place we haven’t seen yet“, said Sunset Shimmer.
“What place?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“The throne room”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
Meanwhile, in prison, Applejack and the others were sitting on their haunches, “who wants to dance?” asked Pinkie Pie.
“Pinkie, how do you plan to dance in a cage?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Simple. Let’s dance so it’s not so tedious“, Pinkie Pie began to dance.
Applejack smiled, Only you, Pinkie Pie.
Suddenly, they heard sounds of door opening. A unicorn Solar guard came up to her with food. He handed it to the five mares. That done, he left.
“This food is a trash!” exclaimed Rarity in disgust.
Applejack had to agree. The food wasn’t one of the good things. Looked like it came from the trash the food, I hope Twilight and Sunset are planning on how to rescue us.
“See, friends!” exclaimed Pinkie Pie with a smile.
They all looked at Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie showed her plate, “look! My food has a smile!”
They all smiled before they laughed.
In the Castle of the Two Sisters, the fragments of the element of Laughter shone.
Sunset Shimmer was looking everywhere in the room. She went to the throne and sought after. She found the key, “I found it, Twilight!”
Twilight Sparkle smiled, “good, Sunset! Now let’s go to the Castle of the Two Sisters”
Sunset Shimmer put the key in her backpack, and she and Twilight Sparkle ran out. But when they left, Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker saw them, “Where are you two going?”
“To Ponyville. We like to spend time in Ponyville“, replied Twilight Sparkle with a nervous smile.
“Yeah. Now, excuse me“, said Sunset Shimmer before running away. Twilight Sparkle went along.
Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker suspected their behavior and went to the throne room.
Meanwhile, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer ran. Suddenly, Sunset Shimmer stopped, “Twilight, wait!”
Twilight Sparkle stopped running, “yeah?”
“Why don’t we teleport to the Castle of the Two Sisters?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle hit a hull on the forehead, “that’s true. How can we be so stupid?”
Sunset Shimmer used her magic to teleport her and Twilight Sparkle. When they opened their eyes, they were already in the old castle, “now let’s try to find the place where the castle is in prison”
Nightmare Moon was sitting on her throne. Nightmare Moon had an idea, “I’m going to that old castle to see the prisoners”
Daybreaker smiled, “Good idea. Can I go too?”
“Of course”, replied Nightmare Moon.
Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle haven’t yet found where the prison was. Suddenly, they heard a sound of flapping wings. They looked at the door and saw Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon, “they are coming! Fast, hide!”
Sunset Shimmer jumped into a window and hid out of the castle. Twilight Sparkle used an invisibility spell.
When Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker landed, they headed for the prison room. Twilight Sparkle, still invisible, went to the window where Sunset Shimmer jumped, “Come, let’s follow them”, she whisped.
Sunset Shimmer knew Twilight Sparkle was invisible. So she used an invisibility spell as well. They started following the two alicorns.
Nightmare Moon opened the door with her magic. She smiled at the prisoners. “Good evening, former subjects. Enjoying your arrest?“ said Nightmare Moon.
“No! Food is like trash. And this place is filthy!“ said Rarity.
Nightmare Moon rolled her eyes at Rarity’s reply, “It doesn’t matter. We came here for a reason”
“Which? Will you release us?“ asked Applejack hopefully.
Nightmare Moon laughed, “No. But it has to do with Rainbow Dash”
Rainbow Dash looked at Nightmare Moon, “Me?”
Nightmare Moon went to Rainbow Dash, “yes, you. I have always realized that you are a brave and very confident mare. And I must admit, that caught my attention. Tell me Rainbow Dash, would you like to get out of this prison?”
“Yes. Why?“ wanted to know Rainbow Dash.
“Well, I can let you out of jail. But with one condition“, said Nightmare Moon.
“What condition?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Simple. You could join the Shadowbolts or you could be a Lunar Guard“, smiled Nightmare Moon.
All except Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon gasped with surprises.
“I’ll never join you!” exclaimed Rainbow Dash.
“But you don’t want to leave? This is your chance“, Nightmare Moon tried to convince Rainbow Dash.
“Yes. I want to leave. But if I’m to join you to get out of here, then I’d rather not join you!“ Replied Rainbow Dash. “I will always be loyal to my friends!”
The four mares were relieved. While Nightmare Moon just looked with a serious face.
In the Castle of the Two Sisters, fragments of the element of loyalty shone.
“OK. Stay there, you insolent foal. I hope you dies“, said Nightmare Moon before leaving and closing the door.
When Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker left, Sunset Shimmer picked up the key before opening the door. The caged mares stared at the door. And to they surprise, there was no one.
“W-who’s there?” asked Fluttershy in fear.
“Is it a ghost? Hi, ghost!“ said Pinkie Pie.
Sunset Shimmer undoes the invisibility spell. The mares sorthey laughed, “Sunset! Twilight! Glad you came!“ exclaimed Rarity relieved.
“We have the key”, said Sunset Shimmer.
Sunset Shimmer went up to the cages and opened it. They were relieved as they embraced Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle. Twilight Sparkle, realized how important friendship was. Then her eyes flashed, “I understand now! I know how we can save Luna and Celestia!“ exclaimed Twilight Sparkle.
“Twilight, why do you still insist that they are the princesses?” asked Applejack, not understanding.
“Applejack, I understand it’s hard to believe, but it’s true. I swear“, said Twilight Sparkle.
Applejack thought. Why couldn’t she believe in Twilight Sparkle? Maybe Twilight Sparkle was telling the truth. And she should trust her, “Okay, Twilight. I trust you”
“Thank you, Applejack”, said Twilight Sparkle.
“So what did you understood?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“That we're the bearers of the elements of Harmony. If each of us finds out which element we represents , we can save them. Did any of you prove to be an element of Harmony?” said Twilight Sparkle..
“Well, I made our friends laugh. So I prove to be the element of Laughter“, said Pinkie Pie.
“And I proved to be loyal to my friends”, said Rainbow Dash.
“A few more of you?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle said, “Well, now I understand the friendship. Then it is probable that I am the element of magic. Because I realized that all of you are my friends”
Suddenly fragments of the Element of Laughter, Loyalty and Magic came to them.
“What’s this?” asked Applejack.
“They are the elements of Harmony, or at least it’s one of the elements”, said Twilight Sparkle.
“Where are the others?” asked Pinkie Pie.
“You guys, except for Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, need to demonstrate at least a feeling of Honesty, kindness or generosity”, explained Twilight Sparkle.
The element of magic shone on Twilight Sparkle and turned a crown. The elements that rolled around Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash turned a necklace.
“Where can we stay so that Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon do not find us?” asked Applejack.
“You can stay at the Golden Oka’s Tree Library with Spike. He’s usually alone there“, replied Twilight Sparkle.
