Guest Star Kelduo: Justice from Afar

Chapter 27: Breaking News...?

The path I paved was paved with help from my Altaria, named Alice, and it led back to Canterlot Castle, where I could spend more time with the princesses. We had a good chat about life as princesses.

"So what's it like to be kidnapped?" Celestia asked.

"To be honest, it's always scary at first, but Mario never fails to rescue me. Over time, I actually got bored of being kidnapped by Bowser! The funny thing is, he just wants to marry me. You should have been there when he last kidnapped me. He traveled all around the world just to get the perfect things for our forced wedding: a dress, stew, a bouquet, cake, a ring--that was much too big for me--and sparkling water. He even kidnapped Tiara, Cappy's sister, for my headdress! At least he put in a lot of effort for me."

"That's quite impressive, for a villain. How did it end?"

"That's where it gets both amazing and hilarious. Mario had to Capture Bowser in order to help us escape the castle, which happened to be on the moon. After we escaped and Mario un-Captured Bowser, we pulled ourselves together. Mario began to tip the question of marrying me, but Bowser butted in with the Soiree Bouquet. As you would expect, this horrified Mario, who countered by offering me a bouquet of Rocket Flowers. It ended up with the two just shoving flowers in my face. I knew I didn't have to put up with it, so I rejected both of them! Of course, that doesn't mean I don't like Mario. It's just that sometimes, when competing for a woman, guys can be quite overzealous."

The princesses chuckled. Celestia said, "I know what that's like. My sister and I once came to Sugarcube Corner to meet with the ponies. At one point, the owners of the bakery, Mr. and Mrs. Cakes, offered me a cup of tea. I sipped from the cup, and they rushed to refill the cup. I finished the cup again, and they refilled it once again. The fourth time, however, I pretended to sip, causing them to overflow the cup. 'Gotcha!' Ha ha! I will never forget that hilarious moment."

"So, what's it like not to get kidnapped?"

"Honestly, life as princesses is somewhat boring. We could probably use a little more adventure in our daily lives, and being kidnapped might be somewhat amusing. Well, except for the time Queen Chrysalis trapped me in a pod to steal my energy. That was most definitely not fun."

I put my hand up to my ear. "Do you hear something, Princesses?"

Luna asked, "Does it sound like somepony screaming?"

"Aaaaaaahhhh--" SPLAT!

We all looked at the new splotch on the stained-glass mural. I asked, "What brings you here, Discord?"

The splotch reformed into Discord's natural form, and he reappeared inside the castle. "Pardon the interruption. I just got sent flying here after generously revealing a secret of one of your friends that I am certain the entire population of Ponyville would be glad to know."

Discord then threw a yellow smoke bomb and disappeared. I looked down and saw something. "Wait, I think you dropped something!"

Celestia picked up the dropped item, a newspaper, with her magic and read it. "...Well, that's good to know," she said with a laugh.

She showed the paper to Luna. "Ha ha ha! Nice try, Discord. Perhaps you'll have better luck with your chaos next time!"

I asked, "What does it say?"

Celestia crumpled up the paper and teleported it away. "That's something you don't need to know," she chuckled.

Perhaps the paper stated that 'certain friend' of mine's secret, and how it was revealed? I shouldn't be thinking about that.

"Um, excuse me, but do you know of a creature named Kirby?"
