//------------------------------// // Power // Story: The Marvelous Six // by Chemtest //------------------------------// A planet burns as ships fire their lasers at the unlucky people below, a punishment for daring to hold the Power Stone away from them. In the middle of a city center is a tall, purple figure in golden armor. A two sided sword implanted into the ground beside him, and a golden gauntlet with a purple glow coming from it. He stares at the utter destruction, not bothering to smile, but merely accept that this is what needs to be done. A white glow appears in front of him, and a quadrapedic figure appears before him. Ordirus nods as he looks at Thanos, “Thanos, Mad Titan?” Thanos nods, “That is who I am. Who are you to control so much power?” Ordirus blinks once, “Ordirus, Archon of Order, Element of Control, Bringer of Order.” Thanos barely smiles, “A man of Order? Or pony, should I say. Well, you have my attention, say what you will.” Ordirus nods, “I come with an ultimatum from Lord Zalgo. My Lord offers you an invitation to our humble army. He believes none are more suited for the Element of Power than the great Thanos.” Thanos nods, “This Element you speak of, what makes it different then the Stone I carry now?” Ordirus looks all around him, “It is far more than that Stone. It grants a power only able to be wielded by the strongest, those with the strongest will. Like my own Element of Order, the Element of Power makes you into more of a god than you ever could be without.” Ordirus focuses on the Infinity Gauntlet, “Six Stones of Infinity may be able to wipe out a single universe, but six Elements of Destruction can work with Lord Zalgo to destroy everything.” Thanos straps on his helmet, “Is that your goal? To destroy everything?” Ordirus nods, “From the ashes of a dead universe, I shall be given reign to make one anew. A universe of Order, where I control all.” Thanos shakes his head, “Then I shall not join him. A universe that bows before one that is fallible is not a universe at all. It is a simulation. A simulation where all will is taken away. Strength, generosity, and honesty all given, not earned. Those are all things that I stand for, so I will not help you.” Ordirus summons his blade, “Then you forfeit your soul to me.” Thanos whips his own blade out of the ground, and blasts Power at Ordirus. Ordirus takes the blast without a single flinch. Thanos’s eyes widen, and he nods, “You are strong, Ordirus. But my will is stronger.” Ordirus breaks his blade into fragments, and looks at Thanos, “Strength? Will? You underestimate me, Thanos. I am beyond strength, I am beyond will. I have nothing to follow but the truth now, and I am ascended because of it.” Thanos smiles a bit, “Without a will, you are nothing. The hardest choices require the strongest wills, Ordirus, and a being without will cannot make any choice.” Ordirus snorts, “I have something more than will. Something you would not understand, Thanos. I have the Void. Only Infinity could defeat one of the Void.” Thanos shakes his head, “You do not understand, child. Put down your sword, I can te-“ He is cut off as a blade fragment cuts right through his heart and lungs. Ordirus nods, “I understand who you are, I understand what you believe. But you do not know me. You are weak, Titan, for you could not see even the most simple trickery.” Ordirus opens his mouth to speak more, but is interrupted as an axe crashes into him. He is flung over Thanos, absorbing his soul as he flies over him, and the axe is called back to the newcomer. Rainbow smiles, “Oh, believe me, I know a lot about trickery. You are but a mere copy of the creativity Poki could come up with.” Ordirus turns to face him, a raises his blade, “Perhaps I should take her soul next.” Rainbow laughs, “I’d like to-“ She is cut off as the last shard of Ordirus’s blade goes through her. It tears through her vital organs, and comes out the other side to fly onto Ordirus’s sword. He nods, and absorbs her soul into the Void blade, making it be only two left. He turns around, only to be smacked in the face by the Power Stone flying to just behind him. He is sent flying again by a purple explosion of energy. He recovers, and twists about to see her get up. She smiles, “Aww yeah, now this is awesome! Now we can see why Poki felt so good! Rainbooms, thunderclaps, wings and Stormbreaker! Oh, you are so screwed now ya jerk!” Ordirus shrugs, “One pegasus is hardly a threat.” She slams her axe into the ground, summoning a giant bolt of lightning to her. She holds out a single wing, directing the lightning. Ordirus dodges to the side, “You will have to try harder than that, pegasus.” His bragging is stopped as a double sided sword crashes into him. Thanos stands proudly, having been brought back by the magical lightning. His gauntlet now empty, he decides to shed it and pick up a plasma caster from the ground instead. She smiles, “We are not just one pegasus anymore. The world shall hear tales of Rainbor Thrash! Tales of her bringing her worst enemy back to life just to defeat another! And Xandar shall hear of the pony!” She flies high into the air with a single flap of her wings, the power sending debris everywhere. She arcs high into the atmosphere, axe in hooves. She starts to spin it, and angles herself downward, “The pony who performed a feat beyond any other!” She starts to descend towards the ground faster than ever before. The axe and her own wings faster than every spaceship every built. A cone starts to build behind her, crackling with lightning. She smiles and laughs, “A Rainbolt!” She strikes straight into Ordirus with her strongest attack. A multicolored beam crashes down with her, burning with the temperature of lightning, and sending out a sonic boom with the sound of thunder. Lightning courses through the beam, shocking everything it touches, and burning it to ash. The ground around the Rainbolt melts from the condensed heat, and houses are collapsed due to the sonic boom. When the light fades, Thanos looks into the crater where Ordirus was hit. A pair of blue hooves dig into the ground, pulling Ordirus from the crater. His coat is almost entirely burned away, and his flowing mane is now nothing more than a buzz cut. His horn rolls on the ground next to him, right next to the pile of feathers that he no longer has. He shows emotion, for the first time since his death at Chem’s hooves. He scrambles away from the crater, and his glowing white eyes show obvious fear. He reaches for his blade, only to have Thanos stop down on it, and cause his attempts to pry it free useless. Rainbor flies from the crater, axe still firmly within hoof. She flies down to Ordirus, smiling, “Not so strong now, are you?” Ordirus tries to scramble away, but his hooves fail to find traction, “Impossible! Lord Zalgo, please, help me!” Rainbow presses her hoof on his head, stomping him into the ground, “Shout some more, you pansy. Prey for any god out there. When they fail to answer, think about why that might be. A murdering bastard who couldn’t give a damn about any that are below him calling out for help from the few more powerful then him. Do you think they will answer, Ordirus? Or do they not give a damn for those below them?” A horn slowly rolls over to them, Rainbor’s presence like it’s own gravitational pull. Ordirus scrambles some more, and wraps his hoof onto his fallen horn. He summons all the magic available to him, and does the one thing he can think of. He runs away, disappearing back to Equestria. Rainbor swings down her axe where he was, only to bite into dirt rather than flesh. She growls, “Damn it! He won’t be able to run forever!” Thanos walks up to her, throwing the Infinity Gauntlet by her hooves. She looks up, and he shakes his head, “The Power Stone is gone. My quest is over, all my will and strength for nothing.” She looks up at him, “Thanos?” He smiles slightly, “Perhaps I am not destiny. Perhaps the universe is trying to tell me that my quest was not right. I do not know what the universe thinks. What I do know is that my will shall not go to waste.” He picks up his blade, and nods at Rainbor, “You saved my life, and you almost stopped him. My quest is something new. Something unforeseen. I cannot allow him to get rid of the strength and will I have built up.” He offers a purple hand, “We may be the worst of enemies in the future, where you come from. Maybe a future where I continued. But that can change. We need to stop Ordirus, and that means that I need you to be my friend.” He smiles, “My will is yours, if you want.” Rainbor looks at his outstretched hand, and hesitates, “You killed Loki. You killed half of Asgard. You killed half the universe.” He shakes his head, “I have not anymore.” Rainbor slowly puts her hoof up, and shakes, “Join us. We need to defeat him first, then speak about if we are friends.” ——— Queen Messorem smiles as a white flash happens in her throne room. She looks over to where Ordirus should be standing, only to see his unconscious body. She rushes over, listening for a heartbeat and breathing. She luckily finds both, and observes his body. Mangled, burned, ruined. His once strong visage now like that of a pony in the emergency room. She scoops up his body, and shouts for a medic. She hugs her Lord’s body close, rocking back and forth and crying over the injuries given to him. As he is carried away by a medic, something falls out of his saddle pack. Queen Messorem picks up the small blade, with only four sixths of it coming out of the hilt. She grips it in her hooves, tears still leaking down her face. She looks up, grasping the blade close, and she makes a promise to herself. Whoever harmed her friend shall face their combined ire and rage. Her eyes start to glow red as her own rage builds up her power. She starts to grow until she is right in the middle between Celestia and Ordirus’s size. She will finish his blade. She will finish his quest.
