Priority mission completed. Now that I was back in Equestria, and that there was no imminent threat to it, it was time for me to move on to a lesser-priority side quest: make myself a friend from Equestria, preferably a pony. Scanning for potential friends... Ideal friend located in nearby mine: Maud Pie. Traits: plain, literal, admiration for rocks, Pinkie's sister, trained Rocky for the Queen Chrysalis battle, knows Kirby and the others who were sent here to Equestria after NESP's teleportation mistake, which includes me. Maud's mood: ...Caring? Why would that be so?
Engaging appropriate beginning conversation: "Hello again, Maud. How are you?"
"I'm fine, Roborygon. I've been quite busy after what happened to Rocky."
Curiosity piqued. "Oh? What have you been busy doing?"
Maud gave a small smile. "I've been taking care of the Rocky Juniors."
"Rocky Juniors? Didn't Rocky lose his life during the Queen Chrysalis battle?"
"As far as I know, not exactly. Come out, Rocky Juniors. There's someone here that you might know."
From behind Maud, there came a group of quite diminutive living stones with eyes. Could they be...? They jumped up and down in excitement when they set their eyes on me.
"You all remember Roborygon, don't you?"
The Rocky Juniors nodded.
I was bewildered. "But how? I thought Rocky was done for when Queen Chrysalis crushed him with her Ursa Minor form!"
"Rocky himself truly was alive. He apparently used a tactic that he learned from his father's relative, Blocky Senior, which involved splitting into several small copies of himself. Blocky Senior used that skill when Kirby tried to inhale him, resulting in only one fourth of him getting eaten."
"And now each of the Rocky Juniors have their own mind?"
"Yes."
"...What a discovery! Twilight and the others must know about this!"
I turned to leave, but Maud stopped me. "Wait. I need your advice on something that I encountered with help from the Rockies."
Maud showed me a small, brown crystal shaped like the diamond suit, with a stone insignia on it. "Could that be... a Rockium Z?!"
"A Rockium Z?"
"I speak of one of various gems known as Z-Crystals, which allow creatures known as Pokemon to unleash a very powerful attack known as a Z-Move when coupled with a Z-Ring. Z-Rings can be fashioned from a very special type of ore that is identified by a distinct symbol not unlike a 'Z.' While Z-Moves tend to be associated with Pokemon, other creatures have been shown to use them too; in particular, Manic the Hedgehog. While that is possible, it would be wise to instead have a Pokemon use a Z-Move."
"I heard from Pinkie Pie that she found some strange ore not unlike the kind you mentioned. She happened to visit Rarity to have her fashion it into a bracelet for me."
I chuckled. "What a coincidence. I shall go visit them to check on the bracelet's progress. Good luck taking care of the miniature Rockies."
