The Marvelous Six

Order

The alicorn towers over everything in the room. Even accounting for the Queen’s horn, Ordirus is twice her size.

He turns to face the changeling. His eyes open, glowing pure white, offset by his blue coat and pitch black, flowing hair. Ordirus doesn’t change from his emotionless stare, “I am back. Didn’t even need Nerazîbûnê. Well done, bug. Now my physical form has been restored. It is time for my mission to begin.”

Messorem bows to him, “Hail Lord Ordirus!”

Ordirus doesn’t even react to her bowing, “I need a blade.”

A changeling comes rushing, and presents him the best forged sword in changeling existence.

He picks up the sword, and breaks it in half, “Not a sword weak enough to be carried by mortals. My own blade shall do nicely.”

Messorem picks herself up, “But where shall we get it from?”

He looks over at her, “Myself. I take it that the Blue Hive is as it should be?”

She nods, “Yes, the Blue Hive is there.”

Ordirus nods, “Then activate it.”

She pauses, “Activate?”

He turns to her, “You know why the Hive was there, correct?” She responds by shaking her head, and he continues, “The Hive is a machine. It’s entire purpose was to get me into the past.”

She smiles, “Like a time machine?”

He turns to face out a window, “Within your limited understanding, I suppose it could be put that way.”

She walks after him as he walks up to the window, “How would you put it?”

He admires the landscape, “A mass relay that causes the user to travel faster than light, and faster than time itself, meaning that they will be sent to the past where they will then be called back. It is only one example of the many creations I have made.”

She nods, “So, how do we activate it?”

He looks back at her, “By using the very thing that made the Blue Hive blue. Take the Element Zero core, and plug it into the relay. It will know what to do from then on.”

She smiles, “You make it sound like the Hive is intelligent.”

He nods, “That is because it is. The relay was given the most advanced AI I could make. The very same AI given to your namesake.”

She tilts her head, “Messorem?”

He looks back to her, “Messorem is from a language from the world of Terratus. It was a old language from the most ordered empire to ever exist. They call it Latin. In that language, Messorem means Reaper. Such is the name of my greatest creation, only below Celestia and Luna.”

She smiles, “Tell me more about this Reaper.”

He turns to face the window, “A flotilla of ships given the power to destroy. Just one could wipe your pitiful Hives off the face of Equestria. They are all equipped with AI that tells them exactly how to best destroy. They are a solution to Chaos. Death is the solution to Chaos.”

She leans in, “Except for the Orderly changelings, yes?”

He faces her, their noses almost bumping, “Perhaps. I have come not to deliver Order just yet. I come now for six souls, one of which you have already claimed for me.”

She smiles, “The Elements.”

He nods, “Yes. The only ones hit by my true blade are the ones who shall reconstruct it.”

She nods, “What happened to this blade?”

Ordirus looks outside, his eyes slightly narrowing, “Chem destroyed it with the Blade of Reality. Now, all I need are those souls, and my master’s gift shall come back. A blade forged of the Void. Stronger than any blade but Reality.”

Messorem steps back, “Then let us go get this blade, my Lord!”

He turns around, “I shall reclaim my blade, not you. You are here to listen to me and make sure everything goes smoothly. Is the crossbreed within the Element’s trust?”

She nods, “Yes, and she completely believes in helping them against you.”

Ordirus nods, “Good. Make sure she knows that we are going to the Blue Hive and are going back in time.”

She smiles, “If you say so, Lord Ordirus. Why should they know?”

Ordirus starts to walk, “For I know what they will do.”

———

Friten’s eyes start to glow bright red, drawing everyone’s attention to her. She speaks, “Ordirus is heading to the Blue Hive. Plans to go back in time.”

Poki smiles, and draws her daggers, “Let’s go catch us some Lord of Order.”

Applejack nods, “But we need to come up with a plan first. The Hive shall probably be heavily guarded, so only one of us will be able to get in safely. I volunteer to go.”
