//------------------------------// // Sister Royalty Meeting // Story: Sister Royalty Meeting // by Lonely Fanboy48 //------------------------------// It’s night time in Canterlot with the moon in the sky. All the ponies are in their homes sleeping after the Swan Party Twilight and her friends prepared, although some of the citizens helped them when they didn’t know how to even prepare one. The land of Canterlot is always peaceful and when the rulers returned from their day they just had, everypony and Spike went home with huge appreciation from the sisters of dawn and dark. Princess Twilight on the other hand had a painful time. Of course, she worked out the Swan Party, but at the end of the day, she couldn’t use the amulet that controls the sun and moon. Princess Celestia wants her to stay in her castle because they’re going to have a meeting. A meeting that’s important for their future in Equestria and the lives for every species. At the entrance of Canterlot, Princess Cadence arrived when she got a message from Spike that Celestia needs her in the meeting from the Crystal Empire. She really doesn’t want go considering how late it is, just when she was about to go to sleep. Once she makes her way to the entrance of the castle, she noticed a few decorations still set up after the Swan Party her sister-in-law prepared. The message she received had the information about Twilight and what she and her friends had been through. “I really hope Twilight is alright, she must be really stressed out.” After walking through several hallways in the castle, Cadence stopped at Luna’s bedroom. Princess Luna wanted the meeting to take place in her room to make their conversation extremely personal with the four princesses. She knocks on the door, to which Luna responds by opening it. “Hello Cadence, come in.” She invites her in her room as she closes the door behind her. Cadence saw Princess Celestia sitting by a table with tea while Princess Twilight has her head laying on the edge of her side. “Oh my goodness, what happened to Twilight!?” Cadence said in concern for her favorite filly she used to take care of feel this exhausted. “She’s alright, we’ll explain it. Please take a seat.” Celestia offered. Cadence obliged as she and Luna takes a seat by the table. As all four Princesses have met up together once again, Celestia uses her alicorn magic to pour tea in one of the fancy cups and gives it to Cadence. “Okay, I’ve heard you two decided to take the day off and allow Twilight and her friends to take care of everything in Canterlot…but it seems she didn’t have the best day.” Twilight slowing lifted her head up as she discusses her side of the day. “Well...we thought Celestia and Luna did everything but we were wrong, soooo….wrong!” She slam her face on the table again with a quiet but long groan. “We’ll explain that later.” Luna said while she takes a sip of her tea. “After we came back, me and my sister were thinking about what we can do for our duties in Equestria.” Celestia explained. “I was thinking we could resolve with our plans in Canterlot and the future of our citizens.” After she took a sip of her tea, she sighed. “As much as me and Luna had the best days in a long time, I still feel princess-worthy before retiring.” Cadence didn’t know what to make of the words she heard from Celestia. “I think I can see where you’re coming from.” She spoked. “But I’m still in my prime and I know eventually in my life, I’m going to be in the same situation when I’m your age of royalty.” Twilight lifted her head up again when her attention is on Cadence from the statement she made. “Seriously?” She reacted. “Yes. And I’m pretty sure you would be in our footsteps some day.” “Actually…” Luna corrected. “I don’t think Twilight will ever do any of stuff we do for everypony.” Celestia added. Cadence was about to question why until Luna fills her in. “Twilight was also in charge of changing the sun and moon while we gone and….” “The sun and moon went all over the place?” Cadence guessed. “I notice that when I checked the sky in the Crystal Empire.” “Yes, it makes perfect sense.” Twilight rolled her eyes. “But my point is, while the end of the day was painful, I still can’t believe how many ponies were needed to make the Swan Party work.” She took a sip of her tea to melt away her pain she had from hours ago. Celestia, who’s known Twilight for a long time, gives her a lesson of what she does in Canterlot. “Twilight, if you thought we are the only ones who throw all the parties and personal meetings in Canterlot, we would probably retire sooner.” She giggled while making a slightly psychic smile on her face. “We have Fancy Pants and others who help us out. Our lives aren’t as stressful as you think.” Luna replied until she got back to her subject. “Okay….It’s not easier when we do our duties.” Just when things finally get to the Princess Of Friendship, Celestia looks at her and of her feelings towards her. “You have other things that will improve ponies in Ponyville, thanks to your school. But we all know you’re not ready to rule a kingdom. I still felt happy you managed to take care of everything today.” This gave Twilight a warming smile from another respecting good deed she did. “Me and my friends did what we could.” She replied to her idol. “Besides, I could only handle what I have now than what you and Luna can do.” When Twilight’s words came out, they finally get to the whole point of this meeting. Something Celestia and Luna agreed with once they returned. They both took a sip of tea, drinking every once of it until their cups are empty. They didn’t need anymore tea afterwards when they have all the energy in their voices. Luna decide to begin her side of the conversation. “During the day me and my sister left Canterlot, we didn’t get along with the activities we were accustomed to.” “What do you mean by that?” Cadence asked. “What she means is she isn’t interested in some of the hobbies I’m interested in and vice versa to the point we broke apart during the picnic.” Celestia explained. “Until we got back together later.” Cadence became surprised from the information about the sisters day. She thought they would easily get along after all the days they did in Canterlot, but there was more to it than that. “Wow...Celestia, Luna, I don’t know what to say.” “Well, have you ever had a sister who has a different taste than you?” “Not exactly. Before I married Shining Armor, we were in school when Twilight was a filly. My life would be different if I had a sister because I’m sure we’d be a lot closer.” “You would think otherwise.” Luna retorted. “I never thought you two would ever bicker when your not on the same page.” Twilight who saw the point of views from the three princesses, shows her point of view. “I may never get a sister, but I know how it feels. Brothers/sisters and friends are opposites from each other.” She turned to Luna who still has her attention. “Starlight told me everything when you did Celestia’s work back then and you’re not the type of princess who wants to be accustomed to any of her duties.” Luna closed her eyes, remembering the terrible time she had to deal with when she switched cutie marks with her sister that day. “You’re right, Starlight wanted to help me with my problems with my sister and at the end of the day,” She looked at her sister, who was looking away from this part of the conversation. Luna knew her sister will say the rest of her sentence like they usually do when they feel this way. Celestia didn’t want to waste time in this meeting, soon she finished what her sister was about to say. “We learn something from each other.” She turned to her sister. “Just like today.” The two sisters blush from the moment while Twilight and Cadence are happy. They liked the fact even princesses can get lessons of sisterhood. “Maybe before you two retire, you should try something even I haven’t done yet.” Twilight commented. “Sorry, but we don’t want to go far with that.” “Since it could lead into huge problems.” Luna added. “And I don’t think you two need to top anything you have done over the years.” Cadence added. Twilight agrees since she fears her future could be affected due to that possibility. “So, is there anything else we need to discuss?” “I think we said everything that needs to be said.” Celestia getting up from her seat. “It’s getting late by the way.” “Yeah I need to head home.” Twilight added. “No problem. Thanks for inviting me, Hope this helps with you and your sister.” Cadence smiled. As the sisters accepted the complement, Twilight and Cadence leave Luna’s room, making their way to their places. Celestia and Luna stayed while they felt relief from the private meeting they just prepared. They learn what their going to do during their reign as rulers as long as they get along as sisters. Just when Celestia was about to leave Luna’s room, she has one more thing she wants to say to her sister. “Luna,” She spoked which got Luna’s attention before she was about to go to bed. “I want to let you know even if we don’t get into one of our hobbies, I still love you.” Luna’s heart became warm like all the other times she hear those words. “And I still love you too.” She smiled. “I’ll make sure the next time, we go on a picnic together, I’ll make the food you like.” “And I’ll try my best to respect that.” Celestia closes the door once she exits her sister’s room while Luna tucks herself into bed. After all,  today will be history, while tomorrow will be the next chapter of Celestia and Luna’s sisterhood. A sisterhood they wanted to work out their futures as rulers.
