Chapter 11: S.E.A.R.C.H.

Pilot's log #--

I don't want to interrupt your interior monologue, but I'm the pilot. You're just telling me where to go!

My apologies, Pilot Discord. Navigator's log #1.1: The World War I Flying Aces are on the hunt in the Sopwith Camel for their colleagues. So far, there hasn't been any luck.

"Over there! I spy, with my little eye, a yellow, two-tailed fox!"

"As do I, Discord. He seems to be unconscious. Shall we wake him up?"

"Of course! What should we do?"

"Make a rat-a-tat-a-tat sound, but be careful not to blast him or the Earth pony, Pegasus, or unicorn around him, collectively known as the Cutie Mark Crusaders."

"You thought I didn't know that?"

"No, I was telling the audience who they were."

"You idiot! The camera's not rolling now, so you can't break the fourth wall!"

"Television isn't the only type of media, Discord."

"...Oh. Ohhhhhhh. I get it."

"So... you going to rat-a-tat-a-tat?"

"Oh, right!" RAT-A-TAT-A-TAT!

"I'm awake!" Just as I expected. I was surprised that Tails didn't utter a Waking Non-Sequitur, though. "Uh... where am I? What's going on?"

I quickly constructed a response: "You are in front of the Cutie Mark Crusaders' clubhouse. The ponies around you are said Crusaders. As for what's going on, we annihilated the world-destroying Void Termina, but we were struck by debris as we escaped, causing a majority of us to land in Equestria."

Tails gave me a confused look. "Right... So what should I do?"

I attached myself to the Sopwith Camel and lowered myself. "Hop on. All creatures foreign to Equestria that know Kirby are to meet at Canterlot Castle."

"Thanks." Tails contacted Sonic using his communicator. "Sonic, I'm on my way to Canterlot Castle."

"Great, see you there!"

After Tails hopped on, the Flying Aces continued their search. "Who's next?" asked Tails.

I replied, "I'll attempt to locate Helix using his Rotom Pokedex. ...It's no use. His Rotom Dex is offline. We'll have to do this old-school. I suggest the School of Friendship. A scholar like Helix is bound to be there."

Sure enough, the human-turned-Pokemon Helix was there. Unfortunately, he was bound in red, glowing chains while being watched closely by a menacing, light gray unicorn stallion.

I told Discord, "Ready to have some fun?"

"Always!"

"Then grab my tail and aim me at the dark green and black owl creature." Discord did so, and I transformed into a grappling hook. "Fire the Hookshot!"

I launched towards Helix and latched onto him. "I'll take care of him, Chancellor Neighsay." I raised back up and released Helix on the Sopwith Camel. "Discord, will you do the honors?"

"Certainly." Discord snapped his fingers, and a pony skeleton shaped like a key appeared. He inserted it into the lock and turned it counterclockwise, freeing Helix.

Helix looked first at the Sopwith Camel, then at Discord. "Snoopy called; he wants his plane back."
