Ka-BOOM! That was the first thing I heard when I woke up. "SURPRISE!" That was the second. The first thing I saw, on the other hand, was a pink pony with a hot pink mane. I put the pieces together and quickly figured out where I was and what made the sound.
"What's the occasion, Pinkie Pie?" I asked.
"You're the occasion, Amy! I'm throwing a crash-into-Ponyville party for you! It isn't every day that a pink hedgehog crashes into Ponyville! I mean, just a couple days ago a pink ball crashed into Ponyville and I threw a party for it, but he wasn't a hedgehog."
"Pink ball? By any chance, was it named Kirby?"
"You bet it was! It was about this tall, had red feet, and had a HUGE appetite! Why do you ask? Do you know it?"
"Yeah, I'm friends with him. We fought alongside our friends--"
"--and beat a Dark Lord of some sort that destroys worlds even though you guys didn't let it because you blasted it with a friendship laser to defeat it and escaped the crumbling battlefield but ended up in Equestria somehow?" That's Pinkie Pie logic for you, crazy but always correct. "Did you know that Kirby actually helped us beat Queen Chrysalis and this thing named Hyness while he and his friends were here? It was awesome!"
"That's great! I think this calls for a party! Unless you already celebrated with a party, then this'll be an after-party!"
"You read my mind! Let's party!" Without further ado, the party began.
Pinkie Pie seemed to know just what to prepare for me, because she had a pinata for me to hammer open, stuff to cook, and of course, lots of pink. There was just one thing missing... I called Sonic on my communicator, but he immediately said, "Can't talk now, Amy. I'm in the middle of a race, and I'm in the lead!" Oh well, I guessed I'd just have to go on without him, but Pinkie quickly lifted my mood with her antics. You keep doing you, Element of Laughter!
We partied on until Sonic called back. "Amy, where are you? We need to regroup at Canterlot Castle, where the princesses have summoned us to!"
"Canterlot Castle? I'll be right there. I just have to say goodbye to Pinkie Pie."
I went outside after hanging up, where Pinkie showed me a huge party cannon. "Say hello to Big Bertha! Get in, I'll shoot you there!" I distinctively remembered from the movie that it's both safe and fun to be shot out of a party cannon, especially a huge one, so I got in. "Ready, aim... FIRE!"
