//------------------------------// // Chapter 11: Desperate Rush // Story: The V-Team // by Reizthefakebrony //------------------------------// In the secret reading room of the Castle of Two Sister "Starlight, came here! Something is going on outside!" Riptide said. "The whole destruction was stopped. What happened?" Starlight asked. "Just watch." Thorax said. The three ponies looked outside the windows and became baffled to see both the result of Kamahl's half failed attempt to put Julius to an hold and the intervention the Zade's group was about to put in action. It didn't took much to her to see what was going to happen. She wanted to gain time for the mass teleport but she has serious doubt about this direct confrontation. "Yep. It's going to happen," Chrysalis said, entering the room. "Oh, please, somepony tell me that it's not going to be a disaster," Starlight prayed. Outside the castle, the alicorn Royal Guards rushed toward their enemies with pure furor. Julius just remained still to see what happens. As the alicorn got closer, the four demonic ponies started to act as Zade stood two legged. "REPPUKEN!" Zade shouted launching a purple wave of energy that sent three alicorns flying around. Another one was diving from behind him in a surprise attack, only for Zade to resposte throwing him in air and slamming ion the ground. Seeing multiple bronze armored unicorns and other alicorns coming toward him, Zade raised his arms. "THUNDER RAITEJIN!!" Zade screamed as he slammed his hooves on the grass, causing a series of lightnings falling down from above, hitting all of the targets. Sera levitates in the air and summoned a legion of skeletal monstrous ghost keeping the alicorns busy as she charged a dark violet meteor and released it in all it's tremendous power, overwhelming most of the alicorn Royal Guards, obsidian armored pegasi and the huge metallic ponies that remained. Some of the alicorns tried to shoot her but Sera shielded herself with a skeletal conjectural barrier and let the three magatama triangles to take them down. Chris turned his hoof into the Soul Edge and prepared for the incoming wave of other ponies of the Regime coming at him. As they got closer to him, Chris suddenly disappeared and reappeared behind them in a explosion that sent them flying, and almost burning some of them. Other guards rushed toward him, just in time for a surprise. Chris advanced toward them, creating two clones of himself. The guards stopped and lit their horns to organize a barrier, but the Soul Edges had proven to much to contain as Chris manages to cut through them and their armors with ease. As for Jace, he stomped his hoof, causing bone cages to entrap a circle alicorn Royal Guards who tried to ambush him. "My turn." Jace said proudly, a moment before breathing lighting on them, electrifying the hell out of them. "And now we are even!" After their attacks, each member of the group shares the preoccupation that they had maybe gone overboard with them. The only thing that are sure are they didn't had killed them for real. Kamahl facehoofed for their initiative since there are other ponies of the Regime who were ready to attack. Julius, however, ordered to stop as for confronting the four ponies personally. "Oh, hey. Now he decided to drop out the balls." Jace commented. Julius doesn't respond. He only smirked and gestured them to try. "Not this time. I am not that stupid." Jace said. "That's the plan," Zade said. "Let's overwhelm them with all that we have!" Before they could do that, the gray pony lifted his hoof upward. They end up being blasted into the air by gray energy pyroclasms erupting from the floor below them. The four ponies collapsed to the floor, exhausted and looking badly beaten, once again. "GAH! Such a cheap move! Fuck off, Julius!" Jace lamented. "We have least reasons to complain now," Sera pointed out. "We are fucked," Zade said. "But at least we tried." Chris added. "And failed." Julius said crudely. Julius and what remains of all the army of ponies gathered around the four ponies and Kamahl. This time it look like the execution was in the air. Zade and his friends could only close their eyes. "My men!" Julius hissed. "Prepared your horns and electricity. We are going to finish them." He pointed at Jace. "Except for him." "What?" Jace flinched. "Prepar-" Without any warning, a sudden pillar of light erupted from beneath them and the castle, illuminating the area in a blinding light. The column started to diminish with the pass of the seconds until it disappeared, leaving only Julius and his army being struck in bafflement and surprise. Julius itself was astonished, but didn't took much time to see what happened, even if he didn't know how. "Sir... It seems like the mass teleport had been delivered." One of the alicorn Royal Guards said. "......... Bastard." Julius murmured angered. "That was part of your interference." He then stomped his hoof and screamed upwards. "WHOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!". Not knowing what happened, Zade and his companions opened their eyes and found themselves involved in a surprise. They weren't on the field of the castle anymore. They were inside something that resembles a cage made of a fuse in between emerald, marble and crystals. There's no one outside themselves. "Ok, now I am confused. What the hell just happened?" Zade asked. "I think that was the mass teleport's work," Chris said. "But I thought only you in the castle were the ones to be teleported," Sera pointed out. "Who cares! We're safe now! We outlucked that douche!" Jace said. "..... We are in a cage, know." Zade pointed out. "And for the sake of the appearance," Starlight said as she stepped inside the room with Thorax and Jeska. "Can you please explain what happened with the mass teleport?" Jace demanded. "Someone empowered the teleport," Jeska said sternly. "Who?" Chris asked. "A mysterious figure my brother Kamahl encounter long the way," Jeska said. "He even helped them to keep Julius in check." "Seriously!?" Jace asked. "Someone should give him a medal." "We will talk about him later," Starlight said. "Now let me explain. You were in this place while our refugees are in a much larger cave far away from them. They didn't even know you were there." "I see," Zade supposed. "That mysterious figure had predicted our arrival at the gates of the castle?" "Why Julius was deciding to spare my life?" Jace thought. "We have no time to waste," Thorax said. "I know, there is the question of the nullifying shards to gather." Starlight remarked and sighed. "Let's call in Chrysalis." Some minutes later, Chrysalis stepped in, still in a foul mood for being turned into a earth pony without any power. Not that Zade and the others cared at that point. She knew why she was there. "The shards, right?" Chrysalis demanded deviously. "They are actually in a old vault located in a very far region of my kingdom. It's difficult to reach. It act as my secret treasury." "Really...." Jeska said with sarcasm. "And I suppose you have to guide us." Sera said. "You have forgot? You need my help." Chrysalis reminded. "If only we have a internal map of the place," Jace lamented. "What?" Chrysalis asked confused. "That's the plan," Jace said. "Since we cannot afford having our enemies following us, we teleport inside the vault, take the shards, teleport back, take a pint and wait for this to-" "NO! There's only one way to enter the cave," Starlight stressed out. "Teleports doesn't work in that way and no, it's no time for a Shawn of the Dead reference!" Sera glared at Jace and slapped him twice. "Congratulation, now you have also filled her with fuck." "In fact we have to enter inside the cave at foot," Chrysalis precised. "And as I said you have to follow me. After all we have a deal, Starlight." "WHAT!?" Zade and company exclaimed. "Allow me to explain the part with Chrysalis." Starlight said. "And how," Jace said, still shocked by what he heard from her. "I know that you want to have the instrument that you need to save Twilight, but I had to ask you. What the hell you were thinking?" "When we were searching for Chrysalis," Starlight explained. "She appeared out of her own free will and made her own proposal." "What proposal?" Zade asked. "Chrysalis knew exactly what I wanted," Starlight affirmed. "She proposed me her help to gather what I need to stop Twilegion if I had then helped her to gave back her real form and her powers. But believe me, I had refused at first, but then Chrysalis putted herself nearby a cliff and menaced to kill herself to take the secret in the grave with her." "You are kidding me, right?" Zade said, disturbed. "That demon knows how to twist a knife in the right way," Kamahl said with disdain. "Even in this blackmail there was power." "What a bitch," Jace muttered scornfully. "It doesn't matter," Zade said. "We had to help even her anyway." He paused. "Starlight, remember that we are doing this just because we have to find a way to go back home and we can do by either you helping us in doing so or at least find Virum and convince him to doing that, with a polite talk or just beating his ass if he tried to escape." Chrysalis raised a eyebrow. "Wait, what?" "Did I heard correctly? You came from another world?" Thorax asked "Is true Thorax, I saw that by myself when I was possessed by Jace," Starlight assured and then turned to Zade. "I also saw this Virum. He looked pretty strong." Zade paused for a moment, having recalled what Virum can do. "Now that I think about, we shouldn't underestimate him." "Who or what is this Virum?" Chrysalis asked. "Is that desplacing prick who thrown us in Equestria, in this form, to begin with," Jace said irritated but then awfully realized something. "Wait, why the hell I'm even telling that to you?" "If you don't even know it." Chrysalis countered without even bothering to give any appropriate response. "Tsk... Typical of a queen douche," Jace whispered. "We have no time for fighting," Kamahl said as he entered the room. "I have also something to take in the vault. Something that I had buried a few weeks ago." Chrysalis blinked. "WHAT!?" "I have a plan... But first, we have to carry on the current one."
