//------------------------------// // How Strange // Story: The Marvelous Six // by Chemtest //------------------------------// The cloak automatically clasps itself around Twilight, and changes shape to the new form. Twilight tries to take a step forward, only to fail completely and fall over. She crawls back up to all hooves, and nods, “Right, well, I’m not going to be walking.” The cloak then works it’s magic, and she starts to slightly levitate above the floor. With this done, she floats towards the door, all while making movements to mimic how she would normally walk. The door, however, was the next problem. Twilight looks at the knob with confusion, and then at her hooves. After failing to find an answer, she decides to tap into her magic. Little did she know, there was a new magic within her. So, when she spun her hooves around in midair, the horn on her head lit up. Her horn detects her will, and twists the knob on the door. The door, thusly swings open. Twilight taps her head, and ends up flinching as she punches her horn, “Oh! Alright then. A new source of magic. One that listens to my will. Interesting.” She then moves on through, and closes the door behind her. With that done, she turns to the window within the hallway. It faces the south, and allows a good view of the landscape. Twilight is immediately drawn to something in a town at the foot of the mountain she is on. Her amulet opens up with some hoof movements, and the Time Stone reveals itself. It adds it’s own magic to Twilight’s as she looks down. Five oddities appear, disturbances in time. Twilight smiles, a destination made obvious. Until she hears hoofsteps behind her, “Twilight?” She turns around, seeing Celestia standing there, “Oh, hi.” A maid squeezes down the hallway, “Excuse me, Princess.” Twilight holds her breath, thinking deeply. Seeing the Princess’s informal stance and voice, she decides to meet it with informality as well, “Good morning, Princess.” Celestia nods, “Indeed it is. I hadn’t expected you to be awake so soon.” She smiles, “What are you doing at the window?” Twilight smiles, trying to hide her anxiety, “Just, you know... magic?” Celestia takes the answer, “Really should’ve expected that answer. Were you trying that magnifying spell again?” Twilight holds an inner sigh of relief, and nods, “Yeah, and I just had to see that town down there closer. It looks so... nice from here.” Celestia smiles, “You find Ponyville to be nice?” Twilight nervously nods, “Oh yeah, not common we get to see villages that size anymore. All the others near here have become ugly and urbanized.” Celestia nods, “Ponyville has always been a very rustic and traditional place. I’m sure you saw the preparations for the Celebration?” Twilight shrugs, “Ah, well, the spell didn’t exactly work, so... no.” Celestia smiles, “Then allow me to inform you that you will be getting a closer look. I want you to check on the preparations, my pupil, make sure all is going smooth.” Twilight absorbs all information offered to her, “Of corse, Princess. You know I would never fail you.” Celestia nods, “That I do. I have a carriage outside, and I’ve already woken Spike and sent him.” Twilight smiles, and tries to slip past Celestia, “I’d best be going then.” Celestia stops Twilight as she floats down the hall, not even bothering to do the miming to escape Celestia. She frowns, “Twilight, are you feeling all right?” Twilight turns around, and smiles smugly, “A bit Strange. Have a good day, Princess.” Doctor Strange shudders as he rushes down the hallway with his levitation. Twilight’s hair raises, and breathes a sigh of relief. She managed to trick what appeared to be a Goddess into believing she was her student. Who knows what she is like, or if she would accept Strange if he told her the truth. Twilight also wonders what they would do with the Time Stone, and shudders at the thought of losing it in her new form. But that doesn’t matter, for now. Now, Strange has some time disturbances to investigate. ——— Applejack greets the day by grabbing the shield leaning on the wall. Her hoof slips right in, and maintains a grip. She caresses the shield, making sure it’s the real thing. Sure enough, it is. She throws it against a wall, causing it to bounce back to her, and she catches it right back. She spins around, throwing it once more. It bounces off the wall, then onto the other, before finally finding it’s way onto her hoof. It’s only then that she hears the gasp of shock. She looks to the doorway, and sees Apple Bloom in her doorway, “Wow, I didn’t know you could do that! You truly are the best sis ever!” Steve’s eyes widen as he looks at the tiny, cute pony now hugging him. Applejack eventually recovers from the shock, and hugs the cute and fluffy pony back. In another part of the town, another is dealing with a sister. Sweetie Belle pouts, “Come on, sis, you can’t walk me to school?” Rarity sits there, glasses pushed far up her mussle, and her head grapsed in between her hooves, “Sorry, but big sis is having an identity crisis. I’m sure you can survive walking to school for just one day? I can walk you there later.” Sweetie Belle sighs, and opens the door, “Then I’ll go. All alone. Unsupervised. Through a town that might be filled with bad ponies. All alone.” Rarity nods, “Yes. If any bad pony does anything to you, then I will punch them. You’ll be fine.” Sweetie Belle relents, and walks out the door, closing it behind her. Rarity continues a mental argument, “Don’t say you didn’t have anything to do with this. If you could get us stranded on an alien junkyard, I would put this past you.” She pauses, “Yes, I know ponies are weak. I am currently one! And no, those aliens were not strong.” She pauses once again, “Puny humans, excuse me? They managed to beat you at least two times. Remember Hulk Buster and Thor? Yeah, yeah, they aren’t ‘puny humans’. They’re Avengers, same as you.” Banner pauses for longer, “Here? You think they have been stranded here just like us? Hulk, come on, that’s insane. Although, considering what we currently are, I’d say insane isn’t too far off reality.” There’s another that is having an argument. Fluttershy look around her cottage at all the animals around, “Oh no, I’m in a zoo.” She marches to the door, and sees a Spidy-Suit on a coat rack. She takes it off, and puts it on. Stark’s technology adapts to her form, making Fluttershy indistinguishable. The animals look at her, and start to speak, “Wait, you guys speak!?” The animals all turn around to the shocked yell of Fluttershy, but all they see is an open door. Fluttershy runs as fast as she can, and shoots a web to a far off building. She latches on, and goes for the roof. On top of the roof, Peter decides to start to think over everything he’s seen. In a nearby building, Pinkie Pie stands in the kitchen. She smiles as she whips out a cake-o-maticTM and instantly bakes a cake out of nothing. She then smashes this cake on the floor, and turns the spatter into many more daggers to be hidden within her hair. Cup and Carrot Cake stare at Pinkie Pie. Cup Cake turns to her husband, “Honey, should we stop her?” He shakes his head, “It’s just Pinkie being Pinkie.” She nods, “Well, yeah, but Pinkie usually doesn’t wear a golden, horned helmet. Nor does she usually wear a black suit with a green cape.” Pinkie turns and smiles at them, “Oh, don’t worry about me, I’m just going to trick some people.” Loki then decides to bounce out the back door. Far above her is her brother. Rainbow stands at the edge of her house with an axe grasped in her hooves. She smiles, and starts to spin. Thor slowly starts to gain speed, and prepares to find Loki in the illusion. And approaching at a similar altitude is Twilight, in a chariot with Spike. Doctor Strange smiles as he looks at the town, and his cape flows in the wind.
